BREAKING: DOJ Wrist-Slaps J6 Provocateur Ray Epps w/ 1 Misdemeanor

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) J6 provocateur Ray Epps has finally been charged in relation to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill protest.

No, Epps wasn’t charged with inciting a riot for telling protestors to go “into the Capitol,” as he’s infamously caught on video saying. Nor was he charged for allegedly helping ram a sign into police officers, as journalist Stephen Horn’s footage shows.

Instead, Epps was charged with one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. His case has not yet been filed in the federal court docket.

Epps has been accused by some of being a government provocateur—a claim he has denied and filed a lawsuit over.

When he sued Fox News over its coverage of him in July, he disclosed that he expected to be charged for J6.

Epps claimed that the impending criminal charge will disprove the theory that he was a federal asset who encouraged Trump supporters to commit violence on Jan. 6.

“In May 2023, the Department of Justice notified Epps that it would seek to charge him criminally for events on January 6, 2021—two-and-a-half years later. The relentless attacks by Fox and [Tucker] Carlson and the resulting political pressure likely resulted in the criminal charges,” Epps said in the lawsuit.

“Although it is difficult to believe that the Department of Justice would have pursued this matter if Fox had not focused its likes on Epps, ultimately the criminal charges conclusively demonstrate the falsehood of the story that Mr. Carlson and Fox told about Epps.”

Epps didn’t specify what aspect of the Fox/Carlson story would be disproven if he’s charged with a misdemeanor for trespassing on Capitol grounds. Other FBI informants, such as Enrique Tarrio of the Proud Boys, were charged in relation to J6, and it’s a common tactic for law enforcement to criminally charge informants to bolster their cover stories.

Epps is the controversial figure seen on camera on Jan. 5 and 6, 2021, urging protestors to enter the Capitol. He initially appeared on the FBI’s wanted list in relation to the Capitol rioting, only to be removed in the summer of 2021 with no explanation.

More damning information about Epps has come out since then, including a text message he sent to his nephew saying, “I was in front with a few others. I also orchestrated it”—referring to the initial breach of the Capitol grounds.

Epps also reportedly admitted to the FBI that he trespassed on Capitol grounds, and made a bizarre comment about expecting a bombing to happen that day.

But despite this, liberal institutions such as 60 Minutes, the New York Times and the Jan. 6 Commission have come to Epps’s defense—raising more questions among those who suspect he may be a federal asset.

“Ray Epps is the only person I’ve seen on video January 5th and January 6th urging and directing people to go into the Capitol,” Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., said after 60 Minutesaired an interview with Epps. “In a text message on January 6th he bragged that he orchestrated it. Why do democrats and the media portray him as the victim? So bizarre.”

In his lawsuit, Epps claimed that the conspiracy theories about him have destroyed his life.

However, Epps has yet to announce a lawsuit against Revolver News, the publication that broke the first stories about him.

Epps has also yet to answer questions from Headline USA about an warrant that was issued for his arrest in Pennsylvania in 2016.

Bishop Rallies Support to Block RINO Compromise, Force Tougher Cuts on Gov’t Spending

(A compromise spending proposal between Republican factions in the U.S. House that aims to prevent a government shutdown is facing opposition from the most conservative members of the lower chamber, including North Carolina Congressman Dan Bishop.

Bishop, who represents eight counties in the 8th Congressional District east of Charlotte, was among the first House members to speak out against a continuing resolution brokered between members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus and Republican Main Street Caucus on Sunday evening.

The legislation is the House’s attempt to break intraparty disagreements and avoid a government shutdown next month. Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., can lose only four Republican votes to pass the measure with all Democrats opposed.

On social media, Bishop wrote that he is in agreement with Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla. He wrote, “Roll back the crazy bureaucracy to pre-COVID levels. Now.”

Mills wrote on social media, “I’m a HARD NO!”

“I’m sick of the DC backroom deals to appease 61 in the Senate and not going to play this game,” Mills wrote. “Our job is to fund the US and take care of the American people. I was not elected by overseas interest like others. Enough is Enough!”

Bishop’s office did not return a request for comment from the Center Square on Monday.

Bishop, winner of a special election in 2019 and reelection in 2020 and 2022, is among the loudest Republican voices inside the Beltway and an outspoken critic of McCarthy.

He is also well-known on Twitter after breaking down “some of the most egregious provisions” of a more than 4,000-page, $1.7 trillion omnibus spending package in December, and for leveraging his positions on the Homeland Security and Judiciary committees to push back on government overreach.

“At the end of this month, government funding will run out,” Bishop wrote in a Sunday newsletter to constituents.

“Entrenched swamp interests are in favor of passing a Continuing Resolution that will do nothing but continue the same bloated spending that I am fighting against tooth and nail,” he added. “My House Freedom Caucus colleagues and I made it perfectly clear what it will take for us to get onboard with any government funding plan, and that we won’t simply go along with the broken status quo that so many Americans are frustrated with.”

The 31-day continuing resolution would impose an 8% spending cut on all federal agencies with the exception of the national defense budget, the Department of Veterans Affairs and disaster relief.

The resolution includes border security provisions conservatives have pushed for but does not include $20 billion in aid for Ukraine and $16 billion in disaster relief requested by President Joe Biden.

Votes are expected later this week to potentially send the proposal to the Senate. The forecast there is not good, politicos around Washington say. McCarthy has said passing the compromise in the lower chamber would help to unify Republicans around a single proposal heading into negotiations with Senate Democrats.

Congress has until Saturday of next weekend, Sept. 30, to pass a spending plan to avoid a shutdown.

Other Republicans reportedly opposing or leaning against the continuing resolution include Reps. Marjorie Taylor Green of Georgia, Andy Ogles and Tim Burchett of Tennessee, Eli Crane of Arizona, Ken Buck of Colorado, Matt Rosendale of Montana, Victoria Spartz of Indiana, and Matt Gaetz and Anna Luna of Florida.

Several, including Bishop, have cited promises to consider all 12 federal appropriations bills individually, a desire to cut spending to fiscal year 2022 levels, and provisions to curtail powers and policies at the Department of Justice.

McCarthy has said he will bring the proposal to a vote regardless of support, while those who helped craft it are touting its provisions as wins for conservatives.

Hunter Biden Sues IRS over Tax Disclosures after Agent Testimony Before Congress

(Headline USA) Forget about the American taxpayers, voters or the allegedly trafficked prostitutes—the real victim of the developing Biden family scandal is Hunter Biden himself, according to a lawsuit filed by the President’s son.

Hunter sued the Internal Revenue Service Monday, claiming that two agents publicly alleging tax-probe interference wrongly shared his personal information, a case that comes amid escalating legal and political struggles as the 2024 election looms.

The agents “targeted and sought to embarrass Mr. Biden” with the sharing of confidential tax information in press interviews and testimony before Congress, the suit said. His lawyers argue that whistleblower protections don’t apply, but a lawyer for one agent said any confidential information released came under whistleblower authorization and called the suit a “frivolous smear.”

The lawsuit marks the latest legal pushback from Biden as a long-running federal investigation into him unfolds against a sharply political backdrop. That includes an impeachment inquiry aimed at his father, President Joe Biden, seeking to tie him to his son’s business dealings.

“Mr. Biden is the son of the President of the United States. He has all the same responsibilities as any other American citizen, and the IRS can and should make certain that he abides by those responsibilities,” the suit states. “Similarly, Mr. Biden has no fewer or lesser rights than any other American citizen, and no government agency or government agent” has free rein to violate his rights simply because of who he is.

The suit says the IRS hasn’t done enough to halt the airing of his personal information. It seeks to “force compliance with federal tax and privacy laws” and damages of $1,000 for every unauthorized disclosure.

IRS supervisory special agent Greg Shapley, and a second agent, Joe Ziegler, have claimed there was a pattern of “slow-walking investigative steps” into Hunter Biden in testimony before Congress. They alleged that the prosecutor overseeing the investigation, Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss, didn’t have full authority to bring charges in other jurisdictions. Weiss and the Justice Department have denied that.

Shapley’s lawyer called the lawsuit a “frivolous smear” that sought to “intimidate any current and future whistleblowers.” He didn’t release confidential tax information except through legal whistleblower disclosures, his attorney said. “Once Congress released that testimony, like every American citizen, he has a right to discuss that public information.”

Ziegler’s lawyer said he will “continue to speak out” about what he considers “special treatment” for Hunter Biden in the handling of the case.

The GOP-controlled House Oversight Committee called the two men “good people who did everything right to obtain whistleblower protection with the best interest of our country in mind,” in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. The agents testified before the committee in July, and said their “investigation will continue.”

The IRS declined to comment, citing the pending litigation.

The White House, meanwhile, has said that Joe Biden was not involved in his son’s business affairs, and months of investigations have so far not unearthed significant evidence of wrongdoing by the elder Biden, who spoke often to his son and as vice president did stop by a business dinner with his son’s associates.

The investigation into Hunter Biden dates back years, and he had been expected to strike a plea deal with prosecutors over the summer that included guilty pleas to misdemeanor charges of failing to pay his taxes on time. But that deal imploded during a July court hearing, and he was indicted days ago on federal firearms charges. He’s accused of lying about his drug use to buy and briefly keep a gun in October 2018.

Republicans investigating nearly every aspect of his business dealings had decried the plea agreement that spared him jail time as a “sweetheart deal.”

Biden’s defense attorneys have indicated they plan to fight the charges and the case could be on track toward a possible high-stakes trial.

The new civil lawsuit filed in Washington alleges the improper disclosures included the specific tax years under investigation, deductions and allegations about liability.

Weiss eventually sought and was granted special counsel status last month, giving him broad authority to investigate and report out his findings. His prosecutors have indicated they could file new tax charges in Washington or California.

SELLERS: Did China Just Create a New Bermuda Triangle?

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) Where kids these days have their groomer-lit like Lawn Boy and Gender Queer, I had the 001.9’s—the Dewey Decimal designation for unexplained phenomena.

Perhaps nothing was as great a harbinger of my future adult self than my fascination with the occult and paranormal—although as I’ve noted in the past, the shroud has now been lifted over many of those unexplained mysteries; and normal, everyday life, paradoxically, seems far more weird and creepy.

It turns out, for example, that UFOs may be real after all, and that nobody cares.

But the bigger conspiracy is whether the Pentagon has been covering them up for 70 or so years, only so it can roll them out at the right time as a sort of PR gimmick to distract from its own cratering public approval amid scandal after scandal.

Likewise, Mexico appeared to offer proof last week that ancient aliens were real—and looked like Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.

The biggest mystery in this meme-worthy moment—which struck many as an obvious hoax—was WTF was going on and how did it reach the level of newsworthiness that it did.

Was this some sort of marketing gimmick to boost the flagging box-office figures of the latest Indiana Jones installment?

At any rate, the alien news got overshadowed by a flurry of more serious stories, including the launch of an impeachment probe against President Joe Biden and the indictment of his son Hunter on felony gun charges.

Yet, even then, both appeared to be largely symbolic measures, while the bigger story was that the Washington Post‘s Operation Mockingbird stool pigeon, David Ignatius, had given the go-ahead for leftist media to hate on Joe Biden—which they did.

THE LAST CHILDHOOD MYSTERY

Some of the great mysteries of my childhood, I have personally tried to debunk. I’ve been on ghost tours in supposedly haunted places like Savannah, Charleston and New Orleans but seen nothing special—although they are a fun way of learning the local lore.

And, at the risk of disappointing my Fox News’s newest leading man, Tyrus, who has been on this case of late, I can confirm firsthand that what lies beneath Loch Ness is a gigantic tourist trap.

However, my visit there in 2002 did make for a lovely boat ride and a delightful day trip from Edinburgh up through the beautiful Scottish highlands that even included a stopover at a scotch distillery and a tour of the ruins of Urquhart Castle.

Only one mystery that I can recall has yet to be fully explained: the Bermuda Triangle.

The area in the Atlantic Ocean triangulating from Miami to Bermuda to Puerto Rico is known to have been the vanishing point of untold vessels. With reports first dating to the mid-19th century, at least 50 ships and 20 airplanes have disappeared in the span of roughly 500,000 square-miles (about twice the size of Texas), according to Britannica.

The alluring thing about the Bermuda Triangle is that the theories range from the mythical, such as speculation that the area could be home to the lost city/continent of Atlantis; to more science-fiction-related talk of intergalactic or multidimensional vortexes; to the more historical discussions of strategic interceptions by pirates and Nazi U-boats; and even the banal, yet scientifically supported, possibility of “oceanic flatulence,” according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The mystery offers a sort of mix-and-match choose-your-own-adventure for budding conspiracy theorists to let their imaginations run wild.

Then again, maybe, as with other recently debunked and demystified supernatural events, there is an even more sinister truth underlying the myth—one that could link it to something more like a government cover-up.

NOT SO STEALTHY

The weekend disappearance of an F-35 stealth fighter jet near the South Carolina coast reignited speculation for some that its disappearance might be connected with the Chinese spy balloon that spent weeks traversing the entire span of the United States in early February, hovering over sensitive military installations in the process, before getting shot down—also over the South Carolina coast.

Although the close geographic proximity of the two events may seem an odd coincidence, both are connected to the Air Force’s Joint Base Charleston, so it may not be entirely unusual.

However, as Newsmax’s Carl Higbie pointed out, there is a long history that also ties Chinese espionage to the F-35 project specifically.

Following reports that the plane’s pilot had, for unknown reasons, safely ejected over North Charleston, rumors began to spread that the plane might have been testing new artificial-intelligence-based programs that would enable the military to eliminate the risk of human casualties in warfare and other operations.

The AI rumors, in turn, fueled suggestions that China may have hacked the system controls.

Considering what little public information the public received regarding how much of the spy balloon the government had succeeded in recovering, it may be possible that somewhere off the coast of Myrtle Beach, Chinese equipment is continuing to collect and transmit information—or potentially to disrupt GPS frequencies, leaving even America’s $80 million stealth fighters susceptible.

As of Monday night, the Air Force reported that it had discovered an inland debris field in the low-country marshlands of Williamsburg County and had cordoned off the area while recovery was underway.

Yet, given this perfect storm of suspicious circumstances, some continued to have their doubts, speculating that the AI-controlled jet may have instead made its way into the hands of an enemy—or perhaps an ally, raising even more questions about the government’s need to concoct such a cover story.

Physically speaking, the triangulation between Joint Base Charleston, Williamsburg County and the coast of Myrtle Beach is a much smaller area, of course, than the Bermuda Triangle.

But in another sense it is just as big, considering how much more difficult it is in this day and age to encounter unexplained phenomenon like a vanishing spy plane.

Given the informational vortex that goes with the Biden administration’s paranoid—and vain—attempt to control public opinion, the theories may be limitless as to what really happened.

Officials Claim to Have Found Debris from Missing F-35 Stealth Fighter

(Headline USA) The crash site for a stealth fighter jet that went missing during the weekend after its pilot ejected was located Monday in rural South Carolina after the military asked the public for help finding an aircraft built to elude detection.

The debris field was discovered in Williamsburg County, about two hours northeast of Joint Base Charleston. Residents were being asked to avoid the area while a recovery team worked to secure it.

“We are transferring incident command to the USMC this evening, as they begin the recovery process,” the base posted Monday on Twitter.

Authorities had been searching for the jet since the pilot, whose name hasn’t been released, parachuted to safety into a North Charleston neighborhood about 2 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to a hospital, where he was in stable condition, Marines Maj. Melanie Salinas said.

“The mishap is currently under investigation, and we are unable to provide additional details to preserve the integrity of the investigative process,” the Marine Corps said in a news release on Monday evening.

The Marine Corps announced earlier Monday it was pausing aviation operations for two days after the fighter jet’s crash—the third costly accident in recent weeks.

Gen. Eric Smith, the acting commandant of the Marine Corps, ordered the stand-down while authorities searched near two South Carolina lakes for the missing FB-35B Lightning II aircraft.

It’s the third event documented as a “Class-A mishap” over the past six weeks, according to a Marine Corps announcement. Such incidents occur when damages reach $2.5 million or more, a Department of Defense aircraft is destroyed, or someone dies or is permanently disabled.

Commanders will spend the stand-down reinforcing safe flying policies, practices and procedures with their Marines, according to the Monday release.

The announcement gave no details on the two previous incidents. But in August, three U.S. Marines were killed in the crash of a V-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft during a training exercise in Australia, and a Marine Corps pilot was killed when his combat jet crashed near a San Diego base during a training flight.

Cpl. Christian Cortez, a Marine with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, said the details of what prompted the pilot to eject from the aircraft Sunday were under investigation.

Based on the missing plane’s location and trajectory, the search was initially focused on Lake Moultrie and Lake Marion, said Senior Master Sgt. Heather Stanton at Joint Base Charleston. Both lakes are north of North Charleston.

A South Carolina Law Enforcement Division helicopter joined the search after some bad weather cleared in the area, Stanton said. Military officials appealed in online posts Sunday for any help from the public in locating the aircraft.

The pilot of a second F-35 returned safely to Joint Base Charleston, Salinas said.

The planes and pilots were with the Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 501 with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing based in Beaufort, near the South Carolina coast.

Some have speculated that the stealth fighter may have been testing out new artificial-intelligence systems. The U.S. Navy, for one, has acknowledged its plan to develop technology for unmanned drone fleets. That, combined with the F-35’s stealth-fighter technology, could spell a recipe for disaster in the wrong hands.

Already the Pentagon has displayed a degree of incompetence concerning the highly sensitive planes, with an audit in May finding it had lost $85 million worth of F-35 parts.

Over 2,200 Illegal Aliens Swarm Border, Sickening Video Shows

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin shared four alarming videos on Twitter, shedding light on the dire consequences of the Biden administration’s open border policies.

The videos, totaling over 2,200 illegal aliens, depict rampant illegal border crossings in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Melugin’s caption for the video painted a grim picture of Biden’s border chaos. “One of the largest mass illegal crossings we have ever seen took place in Eagle Pass, TX this morning, w/ Border Patrol sources telling us over 2,200 people crossed there since midnight,” he said on Twitter.

He added, “It happened right next to the port of entry, as illegal immigrants continue to ignore Biden admin messaging of ‘do not come’, & do not fear the promised ‘consequences’ for crossing illegally.”

Border patrol officials confirmed to Fox News the staggering number of over 2,200 illegal aliens captured at the border.

The videos provide a harrowing account of the event. One of them, shot on a cellphone camera in Mexico’s Piedras Negras, exposes a line of illegal aliens marching along the river’s edge overnight. As reported by Melugin, these illegal aliens made their way toward the port of entry.

Another video, captured by a drone, shows Border Patrol agents processing the illegal aliens early Monday morning, highlighting the immense challenges faced by law enforcement agencies.

This alarming footage comes on the heels of another distressing video released by Fox News, showcasing illegal aliens seizing control of a train departing from Zacatecas, Mexico, en route to the United States.

The train was packed with migrants, with many of them hanging dangerously off the sides, creating a chaotic and dangerous scene.

Lauren Boebert’s Date Owns LGBT-Friendly, Drag Show-Hosting Bar

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Several social media posts revealed that a man with whom Rep. Lauren Boebert, R–Colo., went on a recent scandalous date owns a bar where a drag show was previously staged.

The Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar in Aspen, which is co-owned by Quinn Gallagher, staged “a winter Wonderland Burlesque & Drag Show” in January of this year, an invitation for the event revealed.

In addition to that, Aspen Gay Ski Week hosted “an evening of cocktails, appetizers and laughs” at Hooch in January of 2020, a now-hidden Facebook post revealed.

Boebert was recently caught on camera for behaving inappropriately with Gallagher, a Democrat, at a performance of “Beetlejuice” at the Buell Theater in Denver where the latter grabbed her breast while the former appeared to rub his crotch, according to the New York Post, adding that two have been reportedly been dating under the radar for months.

During her political career, Boebert — a person with a long history of arrests — presented herself as one of the most anti-LGBT members of Congress and a tough critic of children being groomed at drag queen shows.

“Take your children to CHURCH, not drag bars,” she wrote on Twitter in June 2022.

She also criticized the use of drag queens for military recruiting.

“Do our military leaders understand that China and Russia see this stuff and prepare accordingly? We need a non-woke military. Better yet, an anti-woke military,” Boebert said in May of this year.

She also painted a picture of herself as a Christian, despite the recent scandal and her divorcing her husband.

“I’m a Christian. So they may try to drive me to my knees, but that’s where I’m the strongest,” she wrote on Twitter in July 2020.

Even though Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., defended Boebert’s degenerate behavior, a lot of people criticized her.

“Affairs and disrespectful, juvenile behavior isn’t getting ‘attacked’ from the media and the Left. It’s very poor decision-making for women who are acting beneath the dignity of their office,” Jenna Ellis wrote in her response to Gaetz.

As predicted, leftists didn’t miss their chance to mock Boebert.

“And definitely don’t take [kids] to see Beetlejuice (especially when you are in the audience),” Democratic National Committee boss Jaime Harrison said.

Leftists also used their chance to use Boebert as an example to paint all conservatives as a bunch of hypocrites who don’t actually believe what they say. Among these leftists was “Star Trek” actor George Takei who also used Gov. Kristi Noem, R-S.D., to push the fresh talking point.

“I’ve had it with their hypocritical moralizing. They have no standing to judge or constrain ANYONE else’s private life,” he said.

John Kirby Explains Why Prisoner Swap Deal Announced on 9/11 Anniversary

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) In a Monday statement, John Kirby, the National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, clarified the timing of the Iran deal announcement on the 22nd anniversary of 9/11.

Kirby emphasized that the timing of a prisoner swap deal was not tied to the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, addressing scorching criticism marring the Biden administration.

“Not tied to 9/11,” Kirby told Fox News correspondent Jacqui Heinrich of the infamous deal. “Not tied to the UN General Assembly. Simply tied to the hard work over months and months and months by diplomats to secure this release.”

The deal in question involved the Biden administration and the Iranian government, resulting in the release of five detainees.

Heinrich previously pressed Kirby on the specifics of the contentious deal, which included a whopping $6 billion payout.

During a White House press conference on Sept. 13, Heinrich asked Kirby, “Didn’t they also get five Iranians?” to which Kirby replied, “Yeah.” Heinrich further inquired, “Then why did we need to add $6 billion dollars on top of that?” Kirby defended the deal, stating, “This is the deal that we were able to strike.”

Despite Kirby’s dubious excuses, the deal drew ire from prominent conservative leaders, including former President Donald Trump.

“So, lets get this straight! We did a hostage TRADE with Iran. We gave them 5 very tough, smart people that they desperately wanted. We likewise got back 5 people BUT, we also gave them 6 BILLION DOLLARS!” Trump said on Truth Social.

“How much of a kickback does Crooked Joe Biden get? Does anyone realize how much money 6 Billion Dollars is?”

In response to the backlash, the Biden administration attempted to conceal the money transfer, claiming the $6 billion was not a payment but rather Iranian funds.

“This isn’t a payment of any kind,” a National Security Council official claimed. “These aren’t U.S. dollars. They aren’t taxpayer dollars, they are Iranian dollars the previous Administration allowed them to make.”

The timing of the Iran deal announcement coincided with another controversy for the Biden administration, as Biden traveled to Alaska on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The Alaska trip ignited criticism from veterans.

Trump Pledges to Investigate Persecution of Political Victims of Biden Regime

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Donald Trump pledged to more than 1,000 attendees at the Pray, Vote, Stand Summit in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 15, 2023, that he would appoint a task force to investigate political persecution by the Biden regime when elected to a second term.

“To reverse these cruel travesties of justice, tonight I’m announcing that the moment I win the election, I will appoint a special task force to rapidly review the cases of every political prisoner who has been unjustly persecuted by the Biden administration,” he said, as reported by the Epoch Times.

Aside from Trump, Mike Pence, R–Ind., Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla. and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy — other 2024 presidential candidates — appeared at the political gathering of evangelical Christians.

For over just an hour, Trump spoke, recounting the promises he had kept to Christian voters in his first term. He also listed the things that he planned to do in his second administration, among which were reviewing the cases of political prisoners quickly and signing “their pardons or commutations on day one.”

“It’s a horrible thing what’s happening—22 years, 18 years, 10 years. It’s a terrible thing. There’s never been a thing like this happen in our country,” Trump said.

Even though he didn’t talk about the specific cases, by mentioning the 22-year prison sentence, he acknowledged Enrique Tarrio, a former leader of the Proud Boys, who was sent to prison for 22 years for crimes related to Jan. 6, 2021.

“Never again will the federal government be used to target religious believers, and that’s what they’re doing. They’re targeting many people, but also, and in particular, religious believers,” Trump said, adding that “Americans of faith are not a threat to our country” but rather “the soul of our country.”

During a town hall hosted by CNN at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, Trump said he would “most likely” pardon “a large portion” of the Jan. 6 defendants and would do so “very early on.” His September 15 statements were the first time when he mentioned using a special task force and issuing pardons on his first day in office.

Ted Cruz Hints Michelle Obama Could Soon Replace Joe Biden

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has ignited speculation of the possibility of former First Lady Michelle Obama entering the 2024 presidential race to replace scandal-plague President Joe Biden.

On his Verdict with Ted Cruz podcast, Cruz stated, “Here’s the scenario that I think is perhaps the most likely and most dangerous,” Cruz said. “In August of 2024, the Democrat kingmakers jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama.”

Cruz also raised questions about President Joe Biden’s decision-making authority, suggesting that former President Barack Obama might be the real force behind the Biden administration.

“mi,” Cruz added. “I think he is already the puppet master, behind this Biden White House, I don’t think Joe Biden is the decision maker. And so, when I see the media turning on Joe Biden right now, I think the odds of Michelle Obama parachuting in in August of 2024 have risen dramatically.”

These remarks come in the wake of a revealing Aug. 16 poll that showed Michelle Obama leading Biden in a hypothetical 2024 matchup. According to the Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll, Michelle Obama secured a commanding 48% to 36% lead over the incumbent president, drawing strong support across various demographics.

The poll results have amplified concerns within the Democratic Party regarding Biden’s electability. As reported by Radar Online, A Democratic source emphasized, “If Michelle announced, the election would go immediately from a hotly contested footrace to a landslide.”

Cruz is not the only voice speculating about Michelle Obama potentially replacing Biden, despite the former first lady’s statements refuting claims she would run for the presidency.

During a discussion on a podcast, commentator Joe Rogan and comedian Tim Dillon, floated the idea of Michelle Obama becoming president with Kamala Harris as vice president, suggesting it could be a winning formula for the Democrats.

Adding to Biden’s challenges, another poll showed no clear winner in a hypothetical matchup between him and former President Donald Trump, underscoring the difficulties he may face in the 2024 race.

Democratic lawmakers have also weighed in, expressing concerns about Biden’s prospects. Democratic Sens. Richard Blumenthal, Conn., and Jon Tester, Mont., acknowledged the tough fight ahead in 2024, with Blumenthal stating, “This election is going to be a fight,” and Tester highlighting worries about Biden’s poll numbers and the need for improvement.
