DeSantis Threatens to Send Illegal Haitians to Martha’s Vineyard

(Headline USA) Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said this week that he’ll start sending illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard again if illegals fleeing Haiti start arriving in his state.

DeSantis said Florida law enforcement was prepared for an influx of Haitian refugees following the gang take-over of the Caribbean island this month.

The governor said he had deployed dozens of officers and soldiers—along with helicopters, drones and boats to patrol the South Florida waterways, which are about 840 miles from Haiti.

These efforts have already been successful, according to DeSantis, who noted the state’s Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission recently caught a boat carrying 25 Haitians—including five children, along with firearms, night-vision goggles and drugs—off Florida’s coast.

“Haitians land in the Florida Keys, their next stop very well may be Martha’s Vineyard,” he told conservative commentator Dana Loesch. “Look, Dana, I’ve got to defend my state. I’ve got enough issues just dealing with people fleeing from blue states moving to Florida.”

“Squad” Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., slammed DeSantis’s threat, accusing him of playing “cruel political games” with migrants.

“Families fleeing unspeakable violence in Haiti and other countries deserve to be met with compassion—not to be used as pawns,” she said in a statement. “That DeSantis would continue exploiting vulnerable families is unconscionable but unsurprising from a failed presidential candidate seeking to stay relevant.”

Pressley is one of several congressional leftists who demanded that the Biden administration stop all deportations back to Haiti until conditions on the island improve.

“It is far past time to take federal action to stabilize Haiti and save lives,” she added.

DeSantis was one of several Republican governors who began shipping illegal immigrants apprehended in their states to designated sanctuary cities. In 2022, he flew 50 migrants, mainly from Venezuela, to Martha’s Vineyard, prompting fierce backlash from Massachusetts Democrats.

Parent Company to Cut Ties w/ Woke Boycott-Magnet Ben & Jerry’s

(Headline USA) Ben & Jerry’s parent company announced this week it was ditching the brand, along with several others, following years of controversy tied to Ben & Jerry’s leftist views.

It wasn’t entirely clear, however, that Unilever, , which also includes brands like Dove soap, planned to altogether abandon its notorious habit of woke virtue-signaling.

The British-based consumer goods company said it planned to separate itself from its ice-cream division—which includes Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum, Cornetto, and Wall’s—and focus on fewer businesses in order to provide more quality products.

“Simplifying our portfolio and driving greater productivity will allow us to further unlock the potential of this business, supporting our ambition to position Unilever as a world-leading consumer goods company delivering strong, sustainable growth and enhanced profitability,” Unilever CEO Hein Schumacher said in a statement suggesting that the company had been undergoing some financial hardship of late.

The separation will affect more than 7,500 jobs and was expected to be complete by the end of 2025, the company added.

Ben & Jerry’s has created multiple controversies for Unilever by advocating radical leftist ideas. Last year on the Fourth of July, for example, the ice cream brandtweeted that the U.S. was founded “on stolen Indigenous land” and called for the government to return the land to Native Americans.

In the wake of the post, consumers boycotted Ben & Jerry’s, resulting in a loss of at least $2 billion in shares for Unilever.

Unilever also lost $111 million in investments from the New York State Common Retirement Fund, which blamed Ben & Jerry’s boycott against Israel as the reason for pulling its funds.

Ben & Jerry’s has long supported the leftist boycott, divest, and sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel, but went a step further in July 2021 when it announced it would no longer sell its products to Israelis in the West Bank.

Since then, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, Texas and, most recently, North Carolina, have also divested their public employee retirement funds from Unilever.

Trump Says He ‘Couldn’t Care Less’ about Pence’s Non-Endorsement

(Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump dismissed his past running mate’s decision not to endorse him, saying on Tuesday that he “couldn’t care less” whether former Vice President Mike Pence supports him or not.

Pence, who briefly ran against Trump in the 2024 GOP primary, appeared hopelessly out of touch during his campaign with the way the Republican Party has evolved, expressing his unwavering support on the Biden administration’s CIA-sponsored forever war in Ukraine and other areas where Trump has taken a more politically pragmatic stance.

He revealed last week that he would not endorse Trump, arguing he disagrees with the former president on abortion, tariffs and the Jan. 6 Capitol uprising.

However, Pence noted that he was “incredibly proud of the record of our administration. It was a conservative record that made America more prosperous, more secure and saw conservatives appointed to our courts in a more peaceful world.”

When asked about Pence’s comments, Trump responded, “Oh, I couldn’t care less. We need patriots. We need strong people in our country. Our country is going downhill very fast, very rapidly.”

Trump went on to list the border crisis as a top issue that should cause Republicans to rally behind him as the GOP’s nominee: “Millions of people coming across the border, coming from jails, from prisons, coming from mental institutions and insane asylum terrorists. We need strong people in this country. We don’t need weak people,” he said.

Nikki Haley, who also ran against Trump in the primary before dropping out after Super Tuesday, likewise declined to endorse Trump in her concession speech, arguing Trump needs to “earn” her voters’ support.

Much of the rest of the GOP field has thrown their support behind Trump though, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

Trump recently ruled out Ramaswamy on his short-list for vice president, according to reports, although there were indications that the energetic businessman was being considered for the role of Homeland Security secretary.

It was unclear if DeSantis remained in consideration.

During a townhall last month with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Trump mentioned DeSantis and Ramaswamy among the six names on his short-list to replace Penceas his running mate. Others were: Florida Rep. Byron Donalds, former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott.

Top UN Official Has History of Anti-White Racism

(Headline USA) A United Nations official recently promoted by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres promoted anti-white racism in multiple social-media posts, according to Fox News.

Ayisha Siddiqa, who was recently hand-picked by the organization’s top leader to serve as its youth climate adviser and “accelerate the implementation of [the UN’s] climate action agenda,” has a history of radicalism, expressing support for far-left policies such as abolishing the police and anti-capitalism.

Siddiqa, who is Pakistani, has frequently denigrated white people and Western nations on social media, as well.

“You want to know why I got into climate activism, it wasn’t because I wanted to protect the environment (although that is a very valid reason),” she tweeted in May 2020.

“I became involved [because] the West slaughtered, bombed and starved my people to death in the name of oil,” she claimed. “And no one talks about it.”

In a post later that year, Siddiqa wrote, “When I think of fossil fuel, I don’t think of pollution … I think of … organized terrorism and I think of demolished democracies at the hands of the West.”

Siddiqa also explicitly blamed climate change on white people, writing in March 2021, “The white man has brought life as we know it, to the verge of extinction.”

In May 2022, she wrote, “The white man sits at the highest level of power in the world, the same way he has killed, looted and abused black and brown people for profit so has he the earth.”

She then argued in a follow-up post that white people should be forced out of power in the climate movement, arguing the environmentalist agenda belongs to minorities.

“We’re allowing White people to have too much space,” she said. “[W]hite people have absolutely no prerogative or authority to lead the movement … “[W]hite men… collude with other violent systems of power (like the Arab gulf) who hurt poor, black and brown people the most.”

Denver’s Public Expenditure for Feeding Incoming Illegals Skyrockets

(In December 2023, the city of Denver agreed to a $100,000 contract to feed incoming illegals with Colorado Hospitality Services.

After a year, that contract was increased to $475,000 in January 2024. Then, the city had to pay another $450,000 in February 2024.

Now, Denver City Council is looking at another $500,000 to pay for food costs through June, raising the total to $1.4 million.

The city is facing the same issue with the another food provider that was contracted. Michaels of Denver Catering, Inc., started out with a $500,000 contract to feed the incoming immigrants in May 2023.

That increased to $1 million in October. Now, the city will review another $350,000 that will cover the costs through June.

“Due to the sustained high volume of newcomers, the current purchase order is exhausted and we are seeking to increase it again,” the city stated in a memo to the council explaining the reason for skyrocketing costs.

Denver has continued to receive an influx of illegals, with nearly 40,000 arriving in the city over the past year due to its status as a sanctuary city, and the cost is continuing to grow.

Since the beginning of the border crisis, the city has served 39,605 illegal aliens. Still, it faces a growing deficit as Denver continues to receive new border-hoppers, and offers food, shelter and other services.

The city continues to shelter 1,150 individuals while phasing out some services this week by closing one of five hotel shelters currently in use.

Much of the burden for covering the cost comes from those who never voted for it.

Denver recently received a $3.5 million kickback from the state of Colorado and a $1.6 million advancement from the Department of Homeland Security, with $12.2 million in potential federal reimbursements currently pending, according to a Mar. 18, 2024 update from the city.

Denver currently faces a nearly $60 million budget deficit, and Mayor Mike Johnston has said for the city to maintain current services that are provided for illegals, it would cost taxpayers well over $100 million over the next year, as previously reported by the Center Square.

While the continued influx comes at a cost of more than $61 million, resources for feeding those in the shelters are running low, and the city is looking to amend two contracts at the city council meeting on March 20.

The city of Denver did not reply to email seeking comment.

Nevada Next in Line for RNC Lawsuit over ‘Impossibly High’ Voter Rolls

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) On the heels of a similar suit in the state of Michigan, the Republican National Committee is suing the state of Nevada due to its “impossibly high” count of allegedly eligible voters on voter rolls, the Daily Wire reported.

Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar received the lawsuit Friday. It alleges that the state of Nevada, under Aguilar’s guidance, is failing to meet the election standards set by the National Voter Registration Act, which requires “clean and accurate” voter roles.

According to the RNC, five of the 17 counties in the state failed to keep appropriately clean voter-roll records.

Among those, “at least three Nevada counties have more registered voters than they have adult citizens who are over the age of 18,” the lawsuit alleges. “That number of voters is impossibly high.”

The state, in recent years under Democratic leadership, has been notoriously bad at keeping the appropriate records and following mandatory election procedures.

Newly elected RNC co-chair Michael Whatley penned a press release on Monday explaining the lawsuit, writing that Nevada had shirked its duty to conduct free and fair elections.

“Nevada has universal mail voting and no voter ID requirement, which makes Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar’s failure to comply with the NVRA and provide accurate voter rolls all the more concerning,” he wrote.

“Securing clean voter rolls in Nevada is a critical step towards ensuring that it will be easy to vote and hard to cheat,” Whatley added.

Nevada, however, is not the only state failing to keep clean voter rolls.

Earlier this month, the RNC announced that it will sue Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson because the Democrat-run state continues to allow large numbers of fake voters onto its rolls.

The lawsuit alleges that Benson also violated the National Voter Registration Act’s requirement to maintain up-to-date voter rolls, though to a greater degree than even Nevada.

Since Whatley and Lara Trump became RNC co-chairs, the organization already has filed more than 80 election-integrity lawsuits across 23 different states.

In taking a more serious approach to winning in 2024, Lara Trump—the daughter-in-law of presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump—announced recently that “we also have to start thinking about legal ballot harvesting, something we have never embraced as a party.”

After facing heavy losses in 2020 and 2022 due to the dubious practice, which Democrat officials have codified as law in many blue states, along with mail-in ballots and relaxed security standards, acceptance has become a matter of imperative, whether Republicans approve in principle or not.

“We are going to start doing it now,” Lara Trump added.

GOP Reps. Propose Bill to Halt Tax Dollars to Medical Schools Promoting Woke Racial Bias

(

Prior to becoming a 2016 presidential candidate and HUD secretary during the Trump administration, Carson was considered the world’s preeminent pediatric neurosurgeon—a fact made all the more remarkable by his having been raised in inner-city poverty by a single mother.

“I looked up the word equity: The quality of being fair or impartial,” he said.

“But the idea of being ruled in—or, in some cases, ruled out—based on attributes that have nothing to do with trying to create someone who can be a caring, compassionate and competent caregiver is not impartial,” he added. “It is partial. It is not fair. It is unfair. In fact, it is blatant discrimination.”

The EDUCATE Act—an acronym for Embracing anti-Discrimination, Unbiased Curricula and Advancing Truth in Education—would ban race-based mandates at medical schools and accrediting institutions.

The EDUCATE Act will cut off federal funding to medical schools that force students or faculty to adopt certain beliefs; discriminate based on race or ethnicity; or have diversity, equity and inclusion offices or any functional equivalent.

The bill will also require accreditation agencies to check that their standards don’t push these practices, while still allowing instruction about health issues tied to race, or collecting data for statistics.

Rep. Burgess Owens, R-Utah—one of the few non-doctors speaking and member of the 1980 Super Bowl champion Raiders—said his physicians growing up in the 1960s around Tallahassee, Fla., were in positions because of their merit.

They were black like him, he said.

He also explained the real problem of getting blacks or other minorities to become physicians begins with the failures to educate, particularly reading, in grades K-12.

Owens said his son-in-law, who is not black, worked hard and was at the top of his class. He now owns his business.

“Based on DEI, because Chris doesn’t look like me, he’s a different color, he might not have the opportunity he has today,” Owens said.

“DEI promotes people and policies based on race, gender, religion and sexual orientation rather than merit, talent and hard work,” he said. “This is not the American dream.”

Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, chairman of Do No Harm, told those assembled that he’d witnessed firsthand the pernicious impact of this corruption in the medical schools.

“One medical student recently told my organization, ‘I’ve learned more about pronouns than I have about kidney disease.’ And patients should be terrified about this kind of education.”

Among the core DEI topics being pushed in medical schools are intersectionality, oppression, colonization and white supremacy.

Goldfarb said the Association of American Medical Colleges, which effectively controls medical education, is behind the woke makeover.

“Precious classroom and clinical time is now devoted to such issues as climate change, homelessness, policing and other social issues that doctors cannot change,” he said. “The idealogues behind this trend don’t want a doctor, they want lobbyists in white coats.”

Dr. Tabia Lee, fired from her position as faculty director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at De Anza Community College in California, sued the institution on First Amendment rights.

She said she’s not affiliated with either major party, but each should have members wanting to pass the legislation.

“I come to you today as a lifelong educator, former DEI faculty director in the California community college system, who has up close and personal experience with toxic critical social justice DEI overtaking institutions of learning. “It’s important for us to educate, not indoctrinate.”

Kenny Xu, like Murphy an alumnus of Davidson College, was unsuccessful two weeks ago in a North Carolina Republican primary bid in the 13th Congressional District. Fright best describes what he sees and feels.

“DEI is strictly based on the critical race theory ideology, that America is systemically a racist country, that white people are racist, and in order to combat that, we have to be racist against white people, and against Southerners, and against conservatives,” Xu said.

“As a member of a southern state, and a conservative state, the fact that medical schools treat people and leverage people’s education to indulge them in critical race theory-based woke philosophy based on DEI really scares me,” he added.

Owens said bigotry is not embraced in any segment of society.

“As Americans, we disdain it,” he said.

“There are results that are very predictable when it comes to bigotry called DEI,” he added. “It is not a matter of if, but when and how many lives will be lost if we do not eradicate this from our medical system.”

Leftist Reporter’s ‘Creepy Obsession’ w/ Newly Legal Barron Trump Exposed

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A self-described former senior executive at NBC Universal came under fire on Wednesday after expressing an unusual fixation on Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump. Even more concerning was the resurfacing of old tweets.

“Barron Trump turns 18 today,” wrote Mike Sington in a since-deleted tweet to his over 100,000 followers, referencing Barron’s first birthday on May 20. “He’s fair game now.”

Sington’s post did not specify whether he referred to the notion that Barron, as the former first son, is “fair game” for political criticism or whether he had reached legal age for dating—critics on Twitter claimed Sington meant the latter.

The popular Libs of TikTok Twitter page, known for calling out left-wing radicals, described the tweet as “depraved.” In another post, the page resurfaced previous postings from Sington, highlighting his apparent admiration for the younger Trump.

“Sington has a very creepy obsession with Barron Trump going back years,” the page added.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Sington worked for NBCUniversal for approximately 30 years as a director of operations, where he produced Studio Tour, a behind-the-scenes live show at Universal Parks and Resorts.

Since Donald Trump’s election, he has emerged as a vocal left-wing critic of the former president—but seemingly spared Donald Trump’s son from criticism.

In tweets resurfaced by Libs of TikTok, Sington shared several photos of the former first son and complimented his height.

The tweets referenced included a 2018 post celebrating Barron Trump’s 12th birthday. In 2017, Sington posted four photos of the first son, with the simple caption: “Barron Trump is cool.”

In an even more disturbing post dated Aug. 28, 2020, Sington—who is gay—expressed his desire for Barron Trump to “be gay” and “end up marrying a guy.”

The tweets referenced included a 2018 page, celebrating Barron Trump’s twelfth birthday. In 2017, Sington posted four photos of the first son, with the simple caption: “Barron Trump is cool.” In the same post, he commented on Trump’s height.

In the same post, he commented on Trump’s height. Similarly, Sington hailed Trump as a potential model. “A very fashionable Barron towers over his father, who is 6’3”,” he wrote on Nov. 27, 2019.

Amid widespread backlash, Sington clarified the remarks he made about Barron Trump’s age on Wednesday.

“I posted he was ‘fair game’ now, meaning, as an adult, he’s ‘fair game’ for criticism from the press,” he told Newsweek.

He added, “Someone pointed out to me ‘fair game’ could mean fair game to be harmed. I don’t wish physical harm on anyone, so I took it down. I listen to the comments and criticism I receive.”

Ironically, in 2021, Sington called on critics of the Trump family to “Leave Barron Trump alone.”

Apathetic GOP Officials Could Cost Republicans 2024 Election, Investigation Warns

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) After dealing with unprecedented online censorship, mail-in voting, sketchy ballot machines and other issues in the 2020 presidential election, are Republicans any better prepared for 2024?

Attempting to bring clarity to that question, The Daily Caller published a 3,000-plus word report last week, in which the publication interviewed numerous GOP election officials about their preparations for the upcoming race.

From what the Daily Caller reported, Republicans should be worried.

For instance, The Daily Caller reported apparent widespread apathy within the National Republican Congressional Committee, which is helping bankroll the GOP’s legal fights. According to The Daily Caller, the NRCC ignored numerous interview requests, and only sent a link to an Axios article in response to questions about get out the vote efforts.

After the Caller told the NRCC that its response was the “laziest shit [it has] ever seen,” an NRCC spokesperson sent the Caller the following: “We’ve complained about your coverage several times to editors, so to tell you the truth, we really don’t care to engage on pieces we don’t care about to help you guys out.”

Other organizations were more responsive, but still didn’t engender much confidence.

The Republican National Committee, for its part, touted its 79 election integrity lawsuits filed in 23 states ahead of the 2024 election. The RNC said it plans to have at least 100 lawsuits filed by the time November rolls around.

However, conservative attorney and pundit Kurt Schlicter scoffed at the RNC’s statement.

“From what I have seen and what I haven’t, we definitely are,” Schlicter said about whether he thought the GOP would end up in a similar situation to 2020.

“And I would love to be wrong. I hear ‘we’ve filed 78 lawsuits’ that’s like saying if I’m a commander, ‘Oh I’ve fired 78 shells.’”

Public Interest Legal Foundation President J. Christian Adams expressed similar thoughts.

“When Republicans file cases, they run into a buzzsaw,” Adams told the Daily Caller. “To go on offense, you really needed to do it last year.”

If there’s a bright side to the GOP election prep efforts, it’s coming from non-partisan groups such as PILF.

“Instead of suing on behalf of Republicans, we’re suing on behalf of a county election official who has to accept the ballots,” Adams said.

“You see the difference? Because if you bring a case under the brand Republican versus I’m just this poor schlub, who has to make a decision, the courts are more likely to rule in favor of the poor schlub than they are in favor of a Republican Party,” Adams added.

And after The Daily Caller published its report last week, the Republican State Leadership Committee PAC announced its own vote-by-mail initiative in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

“Republicans expect that the 2024 election will be decided by a razor-thin margin just as it was in 2020 and 2022 in the Commonwealth,” the group said in a Tuesday press release.

“This first-of-its-kind effort will help to expand their voter base by targeting low-propensity voters and persuadable swing voters and ensure that voters have the ability and know-how to cast their vote in the manner that works best for them.”

Chicago Tax-Hike Referendum May Fail as Red Wave Rises among Fed Up Black Residents

(

Their arguments against it—which sounded decidedly conservative, both in terms of fiscal policy and the Trumpian opposition to Democrat open-borders—may portend a remarkable shift in the coming November election for a city so deeply associated with Democrat machine politics that it provided the perfect launchpad for a young Barack Obama in his days of “community organizing.”

And it could signal trouble ahead for Democrats who intend to hold their nominating convention in the Windy City in August, where—barring any late-season surprises, the presumptive nominee will be 81-year-old Joe Biden, the supposed architect of the open-border policy.

The referendum on Tuesday asked residents residents whether the city should change the way it assesses real estate transfer taxes on the sale of higher-valued property for the stated purpose of addressing homelessness.

Chicago already levies some of the highest commercial real-estate property taxes in the nation.

Cornel Darden, the Chicago Southland Black Chamber of Commerce chairman, said advocates of the tax hike were pushing a narrative that it was just the “rich, white man” who was going to see an increase in taxes.

“They make it a race thing and say, ‘we’re just going to tax the rich, white people and we’re going to help out everyone else,’ but it’s not just white people who own property just north of a million. Our chamber members own property north of a million dollars,” Darden said.

While Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has said the new revenue would be used to help the city address homelessness, critics noted that the referendum doesn’t restrict how the money can be spent. The Chicago City Council could vote to spend the money any way it chooses.

The Chicago Teachers Union, which is up for a new contract this summer and which has campaigned aggressively in favor of the measure, is seeking housing assistance for its members.

Regardless, Darden said the measure could actually cause more homelessness, and he wished Johnson would have included the chamber during discussions.

“Home insecurity is a huge issue,” he said. “When the price of doing business as a landowner goes up, then the price of rent goes up, whether you’re a business owner renting a storefront or you’re renting an apartment in Chicago.”

Some individuals in the black business community also have called the referendum the “migrant tax” as city and state taxpayers have spent hundreds of millions of dollars on services for foreign nationals arriving from the southern border.

With 98% of precincts reporting, 54% of votes cast were against the measure, with 46% voting in favor.

Tuesday’s results are unofficial. It could take up to two weeks for the election to be certified because of outstanding mail-in ballots.

About 41% of the mail-in ballots sent out by Illinois election authorities have been returned.

Data from the Illinois State Board of Elections showed that in Chicago, 181,000 people requested mail-in ballots, and 68,000 were returned before Tuesday. That left 113,000 mail-in ballots that could still be outstanding.

Advocates of the so-called “Bring Chicago Home” tax increase said the hike would have only affected homes and commercial buildings sold for more than $1 million, and there would have been a 20% tax reduction on properties that sell for less than $1 million.

Darden said the question on the ballot itself was improperly written.”The reason it was so manipulative is because it was 231 words and it included multiple things in one question,” Darden said.

Bryce Hill, the director of Fiscal and Economic Research with the Illinois Policy Institute, said officials should be fostering an environment where there is economic opportunity for people. He said officials should claw back regulations in the city.

“You have widespread aldermanic privilege that affects zoning laws throughout the city, keeping housing prices unaffordable and preventing new construction and deterring builders from building more homes,” Hill said. “We need to be doing other things to address the homelessness crisis rather than throwing money and tax hikes at the problem.”

Hill said government officials have spent more on homeless services. Direct spending from the city is over $60 million annually, yet homelessness hasn’t changed.

There are 6,000 homeless Chicagoans at any given point in time and that number hasn’t changed over the past decade, according to Hill.

Hill said 90% of the property that would have been affected by the tax increase would have been commercial real estate, adding that vacancy rates are at record highs in Chicago because it’s unaffordable to do business in the downtown area.

“If the tax passes, then the value of real estate will continue to crater because you’ll have fewer people wanting to do business, but also job opportunities are going to continue to decline,” said Hill. “This could have some devastating effects.”

Hill said the tax increase would have actually resulted in a failure to generate the revenue promised to address homelessness.
