Fetterman’s Communications Team Quits Amid Israel Comments

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., has encountered significant challenges in retaining staff, with his past three communications aides exiting his office.

Coinciding with their departures is Fetterman’s apparent willingness to address what he perceives as missteps by his own party concerning Israel.

As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer on Friday, among those who recently left Fetterman’s office are Nick Gavio, a former deputy communications director; Joe Calvello, a former communications director; and Emma Mustion, a press aide.

In recent months, Fetterman has diverged from his party’s stance on Israel’s military actions in the Gaza Strip, particularly in the context of efforts to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas terrorists since Oct. 7, 2023.

On March 24, Fetterman seemed to criticize Vice President Kamala Harris’s suggestion that Israel might face “consequences” in the event of a potential invasion of Rafah, situated at the southern tip of the Gaza Strip.

Critics argue that a potential military offensive in the southern region of the Gaza Strip could result in significant civilian casualties. Israel’s military actions began on the north, forcing Palestinians to flee south.

In response, Fetterman took to Twitter to express his disagreement with Harris’s statements.

“Israel has the right to prosecute Hamas to surrender or to be eliminated,” he wrote. “Hamas owns every innocent death for their cowardice hiding behind Palestinian lives.”

According to the Inquirer, Fetterman’s former staffers have found positions in left-wing organizations and entities.

Gavio has joined the left-leaning political party, Working Families Party. Calvello now serves under the Brandon Johnson, the left-wing mayor of Chicago. Mustion has moved to the re-election campaign of Sen. Bob Casey, Fetterman’s fellow senator from Pennsylvania.

While Fetterman campaigned as a progressive in 2022, he has since asserted that he has adopted a more centrist stance on certain issues, including illegal immigration

“I would just call myself a Democrat,” Fetterman claimed in remarks to CNN. “And I believe that I’m on the right side of issues, whether that’s being very pro-choice, maybe that I believe that is being pro-union, and if I believe that’s pro-Israel as well, too.”

Trump Slams Biden for Hijacking Easter Sunday for ‘Transgender’ Proclamation

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump has joined a growing chorus of critics lambasting President Biden’s proclamation of March 31 as the Transgender Day of Visibility, aligning with Easter Sunday.

Outrage erupted after the White House issued the proclamation on Friday, marking a controversial first with the presidential acknowledgment of the Transgender Day of Visibility.

The Trump campaign swiftly criticized Biden’s decision, emphasizing the significance of Easter Sunday by re-sharing a video of the former president commemorating the Christian holiday. In the clip, Trump says: “On Easter Sunday we proclaim with joy, ‘Christ has risen!’”

Trump’s remarks were accompanied by demands for an immediate apology to Christians from Biden’s camp.

“We call on Joe Biden’s failing campaign and the White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only — the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” said Karoline Leavitt, the Trump campaign’s national press secretary, in a statement posted on Friday.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., echoed the Trump campaign’s sentiments in a Twitter post, stating, “The Biden White House has betrayed the central tenet of Easter — which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

Johnson added, “Banning sacred truth and tradition—while at the same time proclaiming Easter Sunday as ‘Transgender Day’—is outrageous and abhorrent. The American people are taking note.”

This decision garnered significant backlash due to its timing alongside Easter Sunday, a Christian holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus. Transgender Day of Visibility has been celebrated by the left since 2009, Fox News reported.

In the proclamation, Biden stated: “I, Joseph R. Biden Jr., president of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility.”

Trump and Johnson were not the only ones who scolded Biden’s Transgender Day of Visibility proclamation:

Fed. Judge Strikes Down Biden’s ‘Climate Change’ Rule

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A Texas federal judge struck down a rule from the Biden administration that required states and cities to measure and set goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions that are “associated with transportation.”

The Federal Highway Administration’s (FHA) rule was criticized by Republicans who argued that the federal government lacked authority to implement the mandate and that it was an attempt by the Biden administration to impose its “climate change” agenda on conservative states, the Daily Wire reported.

In December 2023, Texas sued to have the rule vacated and a federal judge sided with the state on March 27, 2024.

“A federal administrative agency cannot act without congressional authorization. Here, the [FHA] created a rule requiring the states to measure, report and set declining targets for the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by vehicles using the interstate and national highway systems. Texas sued, alleging that the agency lacked authority to enact the rule. Given the statutory text’s plain language and context, the Court agrees,” Judge James Hendrix of the Northern District of Texas and a Donald Trump appointee wrote.

The Department of Transportation had attempted to override the law’s “clear limitation of authorized performance measures to those that track the physical condition and efficiency of the interstate and national-highway systems,” Hendrix wrote in his 49-page decision.

The Wire reported that the judge said that for the federal government to force states to make greenhouse gas measurements Congress either had to amend 23 U.S. Code Section 150, a federal law related to national highways and interstates, or pass an entirely new law.

Republicans in Congress, including Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves, R-Mo., and Highways and Transit Subcommittee Chairman Rick Crawford, R-Ark., celebrated the decision.

“This was a clear case of blatant overreach by the Biden Administration from the beginning, and we commend the Court for its ruling that a ‘federal administrative agency cannot act without congressional authorization,’” Graves and Crawford said.

Student Protesters Call 911 for Tampon, Pee in Bottles to Avoid Arrest

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Student protesters at Vanderbilt University realized that they were not prepared for their sit-in protest against Israel, which resulted in them urinating into plastic bottles and calling 911 because one of the protesters said that she would go into toxic shock if she couldn’t change her tampon.

It all started when the students rushed into Kirkland Hall, an administrative building on the Vanderbilt campus that was closed for construction, pushing past a Community Service Officer.

The demonstrators remained inside the building for about 21.5 hours, protesting the university administration’s decision to halt a vote from the student government in favor of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel, according to the Daily Wire.

However, the protest was derailed when the students realized they couldn’t leave the hall to even go to a bathroom without getting arrested for their protest. At one point, other leftists gathered in front of the building and clapped while chanting “Let them pee! Let them eat!”

Some of the other protesters called emergency medical services for a woman who said that she was at risk of toxic shock because she was not able to change her tampon, citing concerns that she would be arrested if she left the building.

The leftists also blamed the university for “starving” them after the officers monitoring the sit-in were brought food from Panera Bread for themselves.

“Vanderbilt administration prohibited students from receiving food from outside Kirkland and students are currently peeing in bottles,” one graphic posted by students about the sit-in said.

In the end, four of the students were arrested and 16 of the students were reportedly suspended. In addition to that, one journalist covering the event on behalf of the Nashville Scene was arrested by the university police after he allegedly attempted to enter an administrative building despite being told by authorities that he could not enter.

In her statement, Vanderbilt Spokeswoman Julia Jordan explained the reasons for the arrests, saying that three students pushed “a Community Service Officer and a staff member who offered to meet with them as they entered Kirkland Hall on Tuesday,” going on to add that “a fourth student has been charged with vandalism after breaking a window on the building’s exterior last evening,” the Wire reported.

Trump Appeals Judge’s Decision on Prosecutor Disqualification

(Brett Rowland, The Center Square) – Donald Trump appealed a judge’s decision to allow Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to remain on the case after she had a romantic relationship with the lead prosecutor in the case.

“While the trial court factually found DA Willis’s out-of-court statements were improper and Defendants proved an apparent conflict of interest, the trial court erred as a matter of law by not requiring dismissal and DA Willis disqualification,” attorneys for Trump and eight other defendants wrote in the appeal. “This legal error requires the Court’s immediate review.”

Earlier this month, Judge Scott McAfee, overseeing Trump’s election interference racketeering case, said Willis could remain on the case if she removed lead prosecutor Nathan Wade. Wade resigned after that ruling.

In August 2023, a Fulton County grand jury indicted Trump and 18 others on charges they tried to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. Trump has pleaded not guilty.

In the appeal application, attorneys for the defense said the trial court error was significant.

“The erroneous failure to disqualify a prosecutor is a structural error that would not just cause substantial error at trial it would render each and every trial in this case a nullity,” they wrote.

They also said it would prove costly for Fulton County.

“It is neither prudent nor efficient to require the courts, the parties, or taxpayers to run the significant and avoidable risk of having to go through this painful, divisive, and expensive process more than once when an existing structural error can be remedied by this Court now,” the defense wrote.

The defense argued both Willis and Wade must be removed.

Biden’s Push for Billions in Spending on Gender, Race Ideology Under Fire

(Casey Harper, The Center Square) – Joe Biden’s persistent push for billions of dollars in taxpayer funding toward progressive ideology on gender and race at home and abroad is under fire.

Since Biden took office, the federal government has doled out huge sums to prop up Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and LGBTQ projects in the U.S. and around the globe.

Biden’s budget, proposed earlier this month, drew attention for its many proposed tax increases and $7.3 trillion in proposed spending.

The White house announced the budget includes $3 billion to “advance gender equity and equality worldwide,” a request that’s several hundred million dollars more than last year’s budget.

On top of that, the budget provides hundreds of millions of dollars to train the next generation of school teachers in progressive orthodoxy on race, gender and sexuality issues.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, blasted Biden’s push for more spending on progressive gender ideology.

“Biden’s budget is not a real budget – it is a campaign messaging item,” Cruz told The Center Square. “DEI is the cornerstone of Biden’s woke ideology, so it’s no surprise that his budget reflects his divisive ideology. Biden’s budget proposes $5 trillion in new taxes to fund these worthless woke programs. Despite Biden’s gaslighting at the State of the Union, Americans know that our economy is in trouble.”

While the president’s budget does not get passed wholesale into law, it sets the agenda for the White House and sends a clear message to Congress, particularly members of the president’s own party, on what to prioritize that year.

As The Center Square previously reported, one example of that kind of spending in the president’s budget includes a $30 million allotment to the Hawkins Centers of Excellence, a federal program for teachers that trains them in inclusivity on race, gender and sexuality.

The taxpayer-funded programs are set up at institutions that historically serve minority populations and must “examine the sources of inequity and inadequacy in resources and opportunity and implement pedagogical practices in teacher preparation programs that are inclusive with regard to race, ethnicity, culture, language, and disability status and that prepare teachers to create inclusive, supportive, equitable, unbiased, and identity-safe learning environments for their students.”

This kind of spending is not merely a proposal in Biden’s budget, however. It is already commonplace across the federal government.

For example, the Pentagon has prioritized spending tax dollars on DEI and LGBTQ issues, such as $86.5 million for “dedicated diversity and inclusion activities.”

In one example, the 2022 Department of Defense Comptroller report noted, “ensuring accountable leadership by adding nearly $500 million in FY 2023 to implement the recommendations of the Independent Review Commission (IRC) on Sexual Assault in the Military, enhancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) programs, and addressing extremism in the ranks.”

“The Department will lead with our values – building diversity, equity, and inclusion into everything we do,” the report added.

In another example, as The Center Square previously reported, the latest Congressional budget passed and signed into law included a litany of earmarks, when lawmakers set aside federal money for pet projects in their districts.

One such earmark is for $1 million to renovate the William Way LGBT Community Center in Philadelphia.

These examples are just a few of many that have become commonplace priorities in the budgets of lawmakers, the White House and the federal agencies.

Biden’s budget doubles down on these kinds of spending measures.

Meanwhile, the national debt is drawing closer to $35 trillion with no signs of slowing down.

Cruz argued the gender spending is far from Americans’ top priority.

“The price of rent, groceries, gas, and utilities has skyrocketed with Biden’s inflation,” Cruz said.

“The last thing our economy needs is more woke spending. This election, the American people have a choice: keep voting for financial policies that are bankrupting the country over worthless woke programs, or vote for jobs, opportunity, and security.”

Two Cops Shot in Nevada

(Headline USA) Police surrounded a house in a residential Sparks neighborhood Friday where they said a suspect in an officer-involved shooting was barricaded inside shortly after two law enforcement officers were shot and hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

It wasn’t immediately clear if any other people or police officers were injured in the incident that began shortly after 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Police closed nearby streets, evacuated some residences and told other residents to shelter in place in a four-square-block perimeter in the suburban neighborhood a couple of miles east of Reno.

“I can confirm we have had an officer-involved shooting and officers have been shot,” Sparks Police Lt. Chris Rowe told reporters at an initial briefing near the scene.

“The suspect is still outstanding, but I can confirm he has been contained,” Rowe said. He didn’t provide any information about the seriousness of the officers’ injuries or any other details.

It wasn’t known if the officers who were shot were from Sparks or neighboring jurisdictions.

A Sparks police SWAT team, officers from Reno and sheriff’s deputies from Washoe County were on the scene in the area where the shooting was reported near Rock Boulevard and

Greenbrae drive about 1 mile north of Interstate 80.

Local TV stations reported the two officers were taken to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.

CNN Sinks Even Lower, Calls Dead Christians ‘Easter Worshipers’

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Several mainstream media outlets, among which were CNN and NBC News, have once again started referring to Christians as “Easter worshippers” as their most sacred day approaches.

The phrase was brought up after a tragic accident that happened in South Africa, where 45 people were killed after a bus plunged off a cliff in the nation’s Limpopo province on March 28, 2024, according to Trending Politics. The victims were headed to an Easter conference when the accident occurred. In the end, only one person was able to survive with critical injuries.

“Bus carrying Easter worshippers falls off cliff killing 45 people in South Africa,” CNN’s headline stated.

People Magazine, NBC News and dozens of other far-left and anti-Christian outlets used similar headlines.

Back in 2019, the term previously generated controversy when Islamic extremists murdered dozens of Christians during Easter celebrations in Sri Lanka.

“The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity. On a day devoted to love, redemption and renewal, we pray for the victims and stand with the people of Sri Lanka,” Barack Obama said back then.

In addition to Obama, many elected officials also used the derogatory term, including Hillary Clinton.

“How do President Obama and Secretary Clinton both come up with Easter worshippers in their tweets about the murders in Sri Lanka? To have both of them use the same term on the same day is strange. Is Easter Worshipper the left’s new way to avoid the word Christian? Pathetic,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich wrote in response to the phrase.

After the headlines by CNN and other outlets became viral, people on social media immediately criticized the phrase.

“Perhaps we should start referring to leftists as ‘Satan worshipers,'” Twitter user @richarddibX wrote.

Another person, @WhirlaWhirla1, also responded to CNN’s headline.

“I guess ‘Christians’ is not in CNN’s vocabulary,” the person wrote.

Award-winning cartoonist George Alexopoulos criticized CNN as well.

“[Have] you become so demonic you can’t even type the word ‘Christ’ anymore?” he wrote.

Infamous Nickelodeon Hired 5 Convicted Child Molesters, 2 Accused Pedophiles

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The recent court records revealed that Nickelodeon employed or worked with five child molesters as well as two other people who were accused of pedophilia.

The channel was infiltrated by predators who saw the power it gave them as a way to get close to their victims, child safety activists told the Daily Mail.

Two of the offenders were highlighted in a new HBO documentary, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, about child abuse on the channel.

One of those pedophiles was former Nickelodeon dialogue coach and actor Brian Peck, who molested child star Drake Bell when he was 15.

Another one was Dan Schneider, a controversial producer of several successful kids’ shows on Nickelodeon, who was constantly inserting sexually suggestive scenes, which usually involved someone’s feet — a well-known fascination of Schneider.

However, legal records indicated that convicted and accused pedophiles’ prior involvement with the channel was far more extensive than what was shown in the documentary.

Among the molesters are Jason Handy, a Nickelodeon production assistant who had sexual contact with a nine-year-old girl, and Ezell Channel, who was hired as a production assistant at the cable channel after a child sex offense conviction and then arrested for sexually assaulting an underage teen at the studio.

Other pedophiles are Marty Weiss, a talent manager who placed clients on top Nickelodeon shows and was later convicted for “lewd acts” with a 12-year-old male client, and Cody Longo, the late star of TeenNick 2012 show Hollywood Heights who was accused of sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl in Colorado in 2019 and pleaded guilty to a lesser charge two years later.

There were also civil claims and public allegations that have been made against two other people who were close to the channel.

The first one was former Nickelodeon adult performer Joby Harte who was found liable for repeatedly sexually abusing Disney star and Forever In Your Mind boyband member Ricky Garcia.

The second person was John Kricfalusi, the creator of the Nickelodeon show Ren & Stimpy, who was accused of sexual misconduct with two teenage girls he employed.

“Convicted pedophiles still get hired in Hollywood today. Sex offenders worked with children at Nickelodeon, and unless the industry makes changes, more children in Hollywood will end up getting abused,” Gabe Hoffman, a child safety activist, said.

Additionally, even though California passed a law in 2012 to prevent convicted pedophiles from working with child actors by requiring background checks and permits, it was revealed that the law is just ignored.

“Investigations have demonstrated this important law is mostly ignored by Hollywood, and state and local law enforcement appear to have little interest in enforcing it,” Hoffman added.

Biden Administration Deems Easter Sunday ‘Transgender Day of Visibility’

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) In its latest demonstration of contempt for Christianity, the Biden White House has deemed Easter to be “Transgender Day of Visibility.”

“I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility,” Biden said in a Friday proclamation.

“I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender identity.”

Biden’s proclamation was met with widespread outrage from Christians online.

“This is like declaring ‘NATIONAL BACON WEEK’ during the Muslim Ramadan,” said conservative media personality Chuck Callesto on Twitter.

Others chose to poke fun at the situation rather than express outrage.

“Apparently, Biden saw a bunny delivering eggs as the perfect symbol for the transgender,” said Federalist correspondent Margot Cleveland.

Biden’s proclamation appears to be following a nationwide trend. As Headline USA reported earlier this week, Fairfax County, Va., has also blasphemed God by naming Easter Sunday as Transgender Visibility Day.

In that case, the Fairfax County School Board reportedly added “Transgender Visibility Day” to its prior designations of June as LGBT “Pride” Month and October as LGBT History Month for a 62-day LGBT celebration in the district’s schools.

However, it was revealed that the board members were essentially telling Christians that they do not matter by turning “one of their holiest days into a celebration of an ideology that undermines the church’s core convictions.”

As expected, all of the school board’s nine Democrats voted in favor of the measure, while the RINO on the board, Patrick Herrity, did not show up for the vote.
