Report: Local Cop, Not Secret Service, Stopped the Trump Shooter

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) At the outset of Tuesday’s congressional hearing into the July 13 Trump assassination attempt, Secret Service Acting Director Ronald Rowe said his agency’s counter sniper “neutralized the assailant within seconds.”

But according to a Tuesday report in the Washington Post, Rowe’s statement is misleading. The Post reported that it was a local cop who shot Thomas Crooks after the would-be assassin fired eight times. Immediately thereafter, he was struck by a shot from a local cop. It wasn’t until about 10 seconds later when a Secret Service sniper killed Crooks, the Post reported.

“The shot from the local officer caused the would-be assassin to temporarily recoil from his perch on a rooftop, according to the two officials and a Washington Post analysis of video evidence,” the Post reported.

“Crooks’s retreat coincided with a 10-second pause in shooting, according to audio experts who examined the gunshots, a critical period that ended when the Secret Service countersniper shot and killed him.”

The Post also reported that the local officer who shot at Crooks was assigned to a barn behind and to the north of the rally stage, along with a counterassault and quick-reaction force team from Butler County.

“The officer, who was not a sniper, had left the barn and was outside on the ground nearby when Crooks began firing from the rooftop about 110 yards away,” the Post said.

The Post also interviewed Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger, who confirmed that a member of the county’s Emergency Services Unit—which is similar to a SWAT team—fired a shot at Crooks that prompted a reaction from the gunman.

“I don’t know if the officer actually hit Crooks and don’t believe he fired the neutralizing shot,” Goldinger, who oversees the emergency services unit, told the Post in a text message.

SS Acting Director Rowe was still testifying at Tuesday’s hearing as of the publication of this article. He had not yet been asked about the Post’s report.

WATCH: Panicked Cops Surrounded Shooter before Assassination Attempt, w/ Trump on Stage

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) A man identifying himself as Dave Stewart has released new footage of the July 13 Trump assassination attempt, showing that panicked local police officers had alleged shooter Thomas Crooks surrounded while Donald Trump was on stage speaking—and seconds before Crooks opened fire.

“There’s somebody in this building,” Stewart can be heard saying.

He was right. One of the counter snipers who spotted Crooks left his second-floor perch to move through the first floor of the building to shadow Crooks, who was outside, and keep eyes on him. But the sniper, Greg Nicol, reportedly lost sight of Crooks as the counter sniper made his way down to the building’s first level.

Seconds later, shots rang out. Trump was shot in the ear, a firefighter was killed and at least two others were hospitalized with severe injuries.

Stewart also captured footage of the aftermath. Eventually, a federal agent approached him and took a picture of his driver’s license, he said.

Later, the same federal agent was captured by local police body cameras, talking about others who were detained.

“Those people detained were filming. Maybe they were involved; maybe they weren’t. The guys that saw them filming were like, ‘Oh they were filming us then, filming the guy on the roof, and then filming us. And when shots started firing, they tried to run away,’” the fed said, recounting a conversation he apparently had with other law enforcement agents.

“But isn’t that what everyone would do who had a phone? I’m not saying they’re not involved, but you know what I mean? I’ve got no problem detaining them, but … Detain them, find out what they know and who they are, whatever. But I’m trying to get clear information to get back to DC. So, we’ve got one shooter—deceased,” he added.

Stewart said he was arrested and his phone confiscated by the FBI. He posted the footage as soon as the FBI returned the phone to him, he said.

Lawmakers will have a chance to ask more questions about the incident Tuesday at a joint Senate hearing, where FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate and Secret Service Acting Director Ronald L. Rowe are set to testify.

IRS Employees Owe $50M, Despite Monitoring Americans’ Money

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A new audit by the Treasury Department’s inspector general found that IRS employees and contractors owe a collective $50 million in back taxes, who happened to be the same people who are constantly counting every penny in the wallets of the American taxpayers.

The Daily Wire reported that, of the more than 3,800 IRS employees who owe back taxes, 2,000 have not even established a payment plan. Over 50 of the agency’s employees have remained for five years or more.

The news source discovered that nearly 150,000 federal employees failed to pay their taxes, which resulted in them owing $1.5 billion to the government.

Sen. Joni Ernst, R–Iowa, who requested the audit, said IRS employees’ failure to pay taxes is ironic since American taxpayers were forced to pay for the $80 billion the Inflation Reduction Act allotted to expand the agency’s audit capacity.

“Surely the irony and hypocrisy can’t be missed here: taxpayers are being forced to pay billions more to the IRS to audit America while the agency won’t even collect the tens of millions of dollars in unpaid taxes owed by its employees,” she said.

After reviewing 1,068 cases where IRS management had initiated disciplinary action against employees for tax issues, the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration found that management often went easy on them.

“76 employees were suspended. Most of these cases involved willful … cases resulting in the employee being suspended for less than 14 days,” the inspector general’s report stated.

It was also discovered that, even though the law says that all IRS employees who “willfully” engaged in tax misconduct should be terminated, only 20 out of 70 IRS employees who engaged in this behavior between October 2021 and April 2023 were fired.

“Although the law requires an employee who has either willfully not filed or willfully understated their taxes due to be removed, subject only to the IRS Commissioner’s mitigation, this disciplinary action is not always enforced,” the document said.

In its response to the audit, the agency didn’t repent, writing that “for certain offenses, including the willful failure to file a tax return and willful understatement of federal tax liability, IRS employees shall be terminated unless the IRS Commissioner decides to mitigate the penalty of termination… The Commissioner exercised this authority.”

Kamala Endorses Biden’s Radical Supreme Court Overhaul

(Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris endorsed a plan released by President Joe Biden this week to make drastic changes to the Supreme Court.

“President Biden and I are calling on Congress to pass important reforms – from imposing term limits for Justices’ active service, to requiring Justices to comply with binding ethics rules just like every other federal judge,” Harris, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, said in a statement on Monday, according to WGME.

“And finally, in our democracy, no one should be above the law,” she added. “So we must also ensure that no former President has immunity for crimes committed while in the White House.”

Harris claimed the reforms being proposed were “popular,” and that they would “restore confidence in the court, strengthen our democracy, and ensure no one is above the law.”

The Biden–Harris proposal would impose an 18-year term limit on Supreme Court justices and require that justices disclose all gifts, avoid political activity, and recuse themselves from cases if they or their spouses had conflicts of interest.

The term limit conveniently would remove three justices: Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Chief Justice John Roberts. That effectively would allow Biden to flip the idealogical makeup of the court.

Democrats have long seethed over the fact that Republican President Donald Trump was able to appoint three justices during his first term, although all three have issued rulings that flew against conservative principles at various times.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett notably opposed several of the conservative positions in the court’s most recent session, fueling speculation that she may be on her way to transforming into a liberal judge.

The reforms come after a prolonged effort by Democrats and the leftist media to smear conservative justices on the bench, particularly Thomas and Alito.

Republicans have vowed to kill the plan in Congress, with House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., calling it “dead on arrival” in the House.

“President Biden’s proposal to radically overhaul the U.S. Supreme Court would tilt the balance of power and erode not only the rule of law, but the American people’s faith in our system of justice,” Johnson said Monday.

“This proposal is the logical conclusion to the Biden-Harris Administration and Congressional Democrats’ ongoing efforts to delegitimize the Supreme Court,” he added. “Their calls to expand and pack the Court will soon resume.”

Johnson added that Biden’s and Harris’s proposed reforms were motivated by recent Supreme Court rulings hampering their agenda—not by a legitimate concern for ethics.

“It is telling that Democrats want to change the system that has guided our nation since its founding simply because they disagree with some of the Court’s recent decisions,” he said. “This dangerous gambit of the Biden–Harris Administration is dead on arrival in the House.”

Horrible Law Student Joe Biden Passed Bar Exam on First Try, Unlike Kamala Harris

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Joe Biden was a notoriously horrible law student who failed a torts class after he was caught plagiarizing a paper and graduated near the bottom of his class—76th of 85—at Syracuse University Law School.

However, despite that, he still managed to pass the Delaware bar exam, which is considered one of the most difficult in the country, on his first try. The Delaware Bar told the Washington Free Beacon that Biden was admitted in 1968, the same year he graduated.

On the other hand, Kamala Harris, to whom Biden decided to “pass the torch” after top Democrats threatened him so that he would drop his candidacy for reelection, wasn’t smart enough to do that.

She failed the California State Bar exam on her first attempt in July 1989, the same year she graduated from UC Hastings Law School in San Francisco.

“In studying for the bar, I had put forward the most half-assed performance of my life,” Harris wrote in her memoir, The Truths We Hold.

According to public data, nearly 82% of Harris’s fellow Hastings graduates and more than 72% of first-time exam takers in California passed the bar in 1989.

Harris’s horrible academic record could affect the results of the 2024 election, with the New York Times columnist Bret Stephens warning this week that swing state voters could be turned off by the fact that her career has been fueled not by her intellectual abilities but by “connections and favoritism.”

Harris passed the exam only on her second attempt and was admitted to the California State Bar in June 1990. After that, she became an assistant district attorney in the Oakland Alameda County prosecutor’s office. While working there, she started her political career by sleeping with Democratic California Assembly speaker Willie Brown, who was married and 30 years older than her.

Brown appointed her to posts on the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and the Medical Assistance Commission, earning her a combined $80,000 a year on top of her existing prosecutor’s salary. He also connected her with powerful Democrats who would launch her political career in California.

Jill Biden Praises ‘Spectacular’ Olympics Opening Ceremony That Mocked Christianity

(Headline USA) First lady Jill Biden praised Friday’s opening ceremony at the Paris Olympics, despite widespread criticism that the woke performance—laden with Satanic imagery and LGBT virtue-signaling, including a man surrounded by children displaying his testicles—was insulting to Christians.

Leading the U.S. delegation to the Paris Olympics, Biden called the ceremony “spectacular” and joked that the U.S. would have to work hard to top it when the games are next held in Los Angeles in 2028, according to the Daily Wire.

“So, last night, it was just spectacular,” Biden told reporters.

“The rain did not dampen our spirits,” she continued. ” … Every step of the way, I was thinking to myself, oh my god, oh my god. How are we going to top this?”

The organizers of the opening ceremony have come under fire after the event started with an LGBT depiction of Leonardo da Vinci’s painting of The Last Supper with Jesus and his disciples.

The ceremony’s tableau vivant featured multiple drag queens posed just like the disciples in da Vinci’s painting.

The French Catholic Church issued a statement blasting the “scenes of derision and mockery of Christianity.”

The portrayal was so offensive that C Spire, a tech company based in Mississippi, announced it would be pulling its ads from the Olympics.

“We were shocked by the mockery of the Last Supper during the opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics,” the firm said on X. “C Spire will be pulling our advertising from the Olympics.”

The outrage prompted a response from the Paris Olympics organizers, with spokesperson Anne Descamps issuing a half-hearted apology to believers who felt disrespected.

“There was clearly never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group,” she claimed during a news conference on Sunday. “On the contrary, I think we tried to celebrate community, tolerance. We believe this ambition was achieved. If people have taken any offense, we’re of course really sorry.”

The ceremony’s artistic director, Thomas Jolly, defended the ceremony, saying, “We wanted to talk about diversity. Diversity means being together. We wanted to include everyone, as simple as that.”

It was unclear whether calls to boycott the Olympics would have any significant impact.

Jill Biden, who has been known for a fashion sense that closely resembles that of couch upholstery, has faced controversies before over her questionable praise of tastelessly woke performances.

A Christmas video that she posted last year was derided by many as seeming more like a terrifying acid trip than a festive start to the yuletide season.

She also waded into the controversy surrounding an inappropriate White House “pride” celebration that included a transgender activist flashing surgically constructed female breasts and another who had received a double mastectomy flashing a newly “masculine” chest.

While the display was slammed for being totally inappropriate for the venue, the first lady didn’t seem to think so, applauding the activists for their “bravery.”

“[F]for so many of you, just coming to this event is an act of bravery,” she noted.

Biden’s Ex-Comms Chief Admits Dems Are Lying about Recent Trump Comments

(Headline USA) Kate Bedingfield, the former White House communications director for President Joe Biden, admitted this weekend that Democrats were misrepresenting recent comments by former President Donald Trump about the upcoming election.

Trump spoke at the Turning Point USA-sponsored Believers Summit in Florida on Friday, where he encouraged his supporters to “get out and vote, just this time.”

After November, “You won’t have to do it anymore … In four years, you don’t have to vote again,” he added. “We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not going to have to vote.”

Democrats immediately pounced on Trump’s comments to claim the former president would “end democracy,” with Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., calling Trump an “authoritarian” who would make sure Americans “never have the chance to vote again.”

However, even Bedingfield argued this was an uncharitable interpretation.

“I realize this will earn me the ire of many Dems, but … I don’t think that here he’s saying there will be no more elections,” Bedingfield wrote on X.

“I think he is saying I won’t be on the ticket either way, so who cares,” she added. “Which is hideously damning in its own right, cause this is what the Republican Party has turned itself inside out and shredded its credibility for — to become a stan account for this one awful, narcissistic guy.”

In a follow up post, Bedingfield insisted that she was “in no way minimizing” the “threats that Trump poses” to democracy.

“I’m just saying that right here what he is telling us is WHY he doesn’t care about this country—cause he only cares about him,” she claimed.

After continuing to receive backlash from the Left, though, Bedingfield tried to walk back her earlier statement.

“I’m neither defending him nor giving him the benefit of the doubt—I called him an awful, narcissistic man who is a threat to democracy in my tweets,” she wrote.

“But we win this thing in part by persuading people who aren’t yet persuaded,” she added. “And telling them why he’s a threat—bc he only cares about himself—is more persuasive than just saying he’s a threat,” she said.

The former Biden staffer came under fire earlier this month for stoking inflammatory rhetoric about Trump just days after the former president narrowly avoided an assassination attempt.

Trump Promises to Establish Federal Cryptocurrency Reserve

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) On July 27, 2024, Donald Trump said at the Bitcoin conference in Nashville that the United States must dominate the cryptocurrency sector, promising to make the country the world’s cryptocurrency leader.

Trending Politics reported that he also said he would embrace friendlier regulations, which Kamala Harris would never support.

“If we don’t embrace crypto and bitcoin technology, China will. Other countries will. They’ll dominate, and we cannot let China dominate. They are making too much progress as it is,” he said.

The news source added that Trump vowed to create an established presidential advisory council and create a national “stockpile” of bitcoin, which would be done using cryptocurrency already held by the American government after being seized through various law enforcement operations.

“Never sell your bitcoin. If I am elected, it will be the policy of my administration, the United States of America, to keep 100% of all the bitcoin the U.S. government currently holds or acquires into the future,” he said.

Trump also called for increased involvement in Bitcoin mining by U.S. firms.

“This afternoon, I’m laying out my plan to ensure that the United States will be the crypto capital of the planet and the bitcoin superpower of the world, and we’ll get it done,” he said.

Throughout his speech, Trump also constantly highlighted the contrast between his own policies and those of the Biden administration.

“The Biden-Harris administration’s repression of crypto and bitcoin is wrong, and it’s very bad for our country. Let me tell you, if they win this election, every one of you will be gone. They will be vicious. They will be ruthless. They will do things that you wouldn’t believe,” he said.

Additionally, Trump said that he is committed to commuting the sentence of Ross Ulbricht, who is serving a life sentence for creating the black market site Silk Road, saying that his time served was “enough.”

Radical Islamic Cleric Plans to Buy Scottish Island, Practice Sharia Law

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A Muslim cleric who has been accused of spreading hate and potential Islamic dominance has raised more than £3 million to buy a small island in the United Kingdom and turn it into his own Islamic country.

The Daily Mail reported that a 45-year-old Sheikh Yasser al-Habib, who claimed asylum in the United Kingdom 20 years ago after fleeing his native Kuwait, and his followers are in advanced talks to buy the remote isle of Torsa, off the west coast of Scotland.

The Islamic extremist, who already runs military-style training camps, said that he hopes that his organization would build its own school, hospital and mosque on the island to practice only Sharia law and abandon the laws of the United Kingdom.

In a video obtained by the Mail, he encouraged his supporters to donate towards their £3.5 million target so that the complacent government would give away the territory to the terrorists who currently live inside the country and allow the new terrorists to come “from all over the world” to be given a visa to “their new homeland.”

As expected, the residents of the neighboring island of Luing didn’t like this idea.

Al-Habib said the “new homeland” would be called the Mahdi [Messiah] Servants Union (MSU), adding that the island is an “irreplaceable opportunity.”

“If you want to live free under the banner of the imam [Shia leader], in a special homeland where you feel everything in it reminds you of the awaited Mahdi, everything is the Shia homeland… support this project,” he said.

Sarah Zaaimi, a deputy director for communications at the American think tank Atlantic Council, also expressed her concerns regarding the recent news.

“They will have their own army, their own justice system, they will manage their own schools and hospitals and people from around the world will be able to migrate to this homeland. It does challenge the notion of sovereignty. It’s puzzling to me how the U.K. authorities are allowing such a discourse. You are fundraising for the creation of a sovereign country on the margins of another country,” she said.

Google, Facebook Pulling Laptop-Style Cover-Up on Trump Assassination Attempt

(Elias Irizarry, Headline USA) In the latest Big Tech election scheme, Google and Meta were accused of censoring information about the July 13 assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump—and possibly even implementing a total search ban on Trump’s name.

Users on X sounded the alarm over the weekend after they noticed that search results on Google for the assassination attempt failed to automatically appear when typed in, instead suggesting a search for an assassination attempt on former President Harry Truman.

Several Republican lawmakers—including Sens. Roger Marshall of Kansas and Mike Lee of Utah—called for investigations into the matter.

“Has there been a dramatic increase in Truman biographers in the last two weeks?” asked Marshall before announcing a formal inquiry.

In a statement, Google denied taking any manual action to censor the search result, claiming, “Our systems have protections against Autocomplete predictions associated with political violence, which were working as intended before this horrific event occurring.”

However, Google was not the only company to be accused of censoring Trump’s assassination attempt.

Meta’s artificial intelligence software and the Microsoft-linked ChatGPT both refused to admit that the assassination attempt ever happened, labeling it as fictional.

Moreover, an iconic photograph by Associated Press photographer Evan Vucci of Trump raising his fist amid the chaos was reportedly being labeled as “misinformation” by Meta platforms Facebook and Instagram.

The AP claimed that the photo being censored was not the original photo but a modified version that showed the Secret Service agents smiling.

A photo posted to Facebook by Headline USA on Monday evening did not appear to be censored, nor did the original photos on Vucci’s Instagram account.

Nonetheless, the reports of the censorship attempts follow a recent Axios story revealing that media editors had openly discussed efforts to suppress the photos because of the benefit they would likely have serving as “photogranda” for Trump’s campaign.

The stunning censorship campaign by Big Tech emerged only a week after Democrats staged a coup to replace President Joe Biden with Vice President Kamala Harris on their 2024 presidential ticket, while otherwise facing certain electoral defeat.

It hearkened back for many conservatives to the companies’ election-meddling in 2020 to suppress legitimate information on stories such as the Hunter Biden laptop.

Yet, the woke tech companies are likely to be emboldened following last month’s Supreme Court decision in Murthy vs. Missouri, which upheld their right to censor viewpoints at their discretion—or in partnership with government entities who may coerce them to limit unapproved speech.
