Moms for Liberty Ups Its Political Advocacy as Leftists Attempt Anti-Parent Counterattack

(Headline USA)  In her welcoming remarks at Moms for Liberty’s annual gathering in the nation’s capital on Friday, the group’s co-founder, Tiffany Justice, urged members to “fight like a mother” against the Democratic presidential ticket.

Later that evening, after she had interviewed Republican nominee Donald Trump onstage, she made a point to say she was personally endorsing him for the presidency. Their talk show style chat was preceded by a “Trump, Trump, Trump” chant from the audience.

The weekend’s gathering, drawing parent activists from across the country, has showcased how Moms for Liberty has moved toward fully embracing Trump and his political messaging as November’s election draws nearer.

The group is officially a nonpartisan nonprofit that says it’s open to anyone who wants parents to have a greater say in their children’s education. However, with many on the Left leaning into the promotion of radical Marxist indoctrination and sexual perversion in the classroom, there was little pretense about which side of the nation’s political divide it has chosen.

A painting that was prominently displayed on an easel next to the security station attendees had to pass through before being allowed into the conference area showed Vice President Kamala Harris kneeling over a bald eagle carcass, a communist symbol on her jacket and her mouth dripping with blood.

A Moms for Liberty spokeswoman noted that the only official signage for the event included the group’s logo.

The group’s enthusiasm for Trump is likely to benefit the former president this fall by solidifying a key part of his base—parents who share his views that the U.S. Education Department is bloated and ineffective; so-called equity programs are distracting from academic fundamentals; vaccine mandates violate parental rights; and the embrace of transgenderism in student restrooms, lockerrooms and elsewhere was putting other students in danger.

Echoing the strategy of many tax-exempt leftist organizations that have pushed to advance the very objectives they oppose, Moms for Liberty says it won’t make an official endorsement in the presidential race, but it isn’t shying away from getting involved.

The group’s founders recently wrote an open letter to parents warning that Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz—a former high school social studies teacher who took students on dozens of field trips to communist China and handed out copies of Mao Zedong’s manifesto—would be “the most anti-parent, extremist government America has ever known.”

The group spent its first three years becoming synonymous with the “parents’ rights” movement in local school boards but recently has become more involved in national politics. It also has invested more than $3 million for advertising in four crucial presidential swing states: Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina and Wisconsin.

Justice said the advertising has helped increase Moms for Liberty membership in those states and mobilized members who were not previously politically active to register to vote.

“I think you’re going to see a lot of new voters who understand now that their vote and their voice matters,” she said in an interview.

She added that as the group continues to endorse in local school board races, she is encouraged by Florida’s recent primary, in which 60% of Moms for Liberty-backed candidates—some running for office for the first time—advanced to this fall’s general election.

Countering those wins were undeniable losses for the group, among them two in heavily Republican Sarasota County, and two in Pinellas County, where a Moms for Liberty-backed candidate coasted to a school board seat two years ago.

Those results come after conservative candidates struggled to gain traction with voters in local school board elections across the country last fall. In that election, Moms for Liberty said just 40% of its endorsed candidates won.

But a group of more than 600 Moms for Liberty supporters exchanging phone numbers and listening attentively to slide presentations in Washington on Friday offered a different perspective.

Gretchen Schmid, the chair of a Moms for Liberty chapter in Orange County, North Carolina, said her chapter helped advocate a new parents’ bill of rights law in her state. It passed last year after the Legislature, which is heavily gerrymandered to favor Republicans, overrode the Democratic governor’s veto.

Schmid said when parents used to call and ask schools to share information about assignments, they wouldn’t hear back, but now, “people are getting more responses.”

On Saturday, Moms for Liberty’s four-day summit paused sessions during the day to hold a demonstration a mile away, organized by a coalition of more than 30 conservative groups. Donning yellow rhinestone visors, Rachel Mack and Sarah Recupero said they had made the drive from Florida to support the protection of all children, especially in sports.

“I am definitely somebody who stands for the whole women-in-women’s sports and men-in-men’s sports,” Mack said.

Several blocks away, those opposed to Moms for Liberty held a competing event, a Celebration of Reading, attempting to promote the counternarrative that concerned parents’ efforts to keep pornography and child-grooming literature out of school libraries constituted “book banning.”

“I have a granddaughter who’s 2, and I want her to grow up in a world where she can read whatever she wants to read and no one bothers her or makes a fuss about it, so, I hopped on that plane, really for her and all children,” said Heidi Ross—a lactation consultant from Buckeye, Arizona, who said she volunteered for the event after seeing a post on Facebook about it.

Several school-board members backed by Moms for Liberty or who carry out the group’s agenda have been recalled in recent months by left-wing activist groups who opposed the parental rights movement in favor of giving total autonomy to schools in decisions involving child-rearing.

In Woodland, California, north of the state capital, a school board member backed by Moms for Liberty members was recalled in March after she raised alarm during a 2023 school board meeting that children were coming out as transgender “as a result of social contagion.”

In Southern California, a trustee with the Temecula Valley Unified School District Board of Education was recalled after he and two of his colleagues voted to reject a controversial social studies curriculum that promoted the so-called gay rights movement—including a celebration of notorious pederast Harvey Milk.

And in Idaho’s heavily Republican panhandle, community members recall two members of their board last year who sought to root out critical race theory and institute a conservative agenda.

However, critics noted that the reason was that West Bonner County school board chair Keith Rutledge and vice chair Susan Brown had “failed to uphold their oaths of office to improve public schools” and that they didn’t “respect their constituents or fellow board members,” the Spokane Spokesman–Review noted.

The two had previously voted to appoint Branden Durst, a former Democrat state lawmaker with “no experience as a school administrator or teacher,” to be the district’s new superintendent.

Police: Deranged Trump Protester Who Stormed Press Area at Pa. Rally Will Face Charges

(Headline USA) Police said Saturday that a man—believed to be a radical leftist—will face misdemeanor charges after he stormed into the press area at Donald Trump’s rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

The assailant was quickly surrounded by authorities and eventually subdued with a Taser as the former president spoke at the campaign stop.

Although his identity had not yet been released—preventing a fuller understanding of his motives and political views—multiple social-media accounts featuring video of the episode suggested that it was a left-wing protester.

Video of the incident does not make clear what the man was yelling as he climbed barriers or as he was being subdued and arrested. However, other rallygoers were less than receptive to the disturbance and appeared to be jeering the assailant, as well as giving him the middle finger.

The incident Friday came moments after Trump had criticized major media outlets for what he said was unfavorable coverage and had dismissed CNN as fawning for its interview Thursday with his Democratic rival Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.

Moments before the man ventured into the media’s designated section, Trump had reprised his familiar assertion that the mainstream media is a collective “enemy of the people.”

However, it also comes just weeks after an unhinged Democrat donor attempted to assassinate Trump at a rally in Butler, Pa., roughly 80 miles from the site of Friday’s rally.

The man made it over a barrier ringing the media area and began climbing the back side of a riser where television reporters and cameras were stationed, according to a video of the incident posted to social media by a reporter for CBS News. People near him tried to pull him off the riser and were quickly joined by police officers and sheriff’s deputies.

The crowd cheered as a pack of police led the man away, prompting Trump to say, “Is there anywhere that’s more fun to be than a Trump rally?”

Johnstown’s police chief, Richard M. Pritchard, confirmed to the Associated Press on Saturday that the man was arrested, released and will be formally charged next week.

Pritchard said the man, whose identity will be disclosed when charges are filed, will face misdemeanors in municipal court for alleged disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and disrupting a public assembly.

Pritchard, who was not directly involved in the arrest, declined to speculate on the man’s motives.

Trump’s campaign sought to distance the former president from the man and his actions, suggesting he was a Trump opponent.

“Witnesses, including some in the press corps, described a crazed individual shouting expletives at President Trump,” said campaign senior adviser Danielle Alvarez. “His aggression was focused on the president and towards the stage as he entered the press area.”

Alvarez did not identify the witnesses she cited or expound on what the man may have shouted. Alvarez added that the campaign appreciates the response of local law enforcement officials and the U.S. Secret Service for acting quickly.

Shortly after the incident, police handcuffed another man in the crowd and led him out of the arena. It was not immediately clear whether that detention was related to the initial altercation.

Security at political events has been noticeably tighter since the July 13 assassination attempt.

A Secret Service spokesperson referred questions to local authorities.

Leftist Media Viciously Targets Vance’s Hindu Wife after Pearl-Clutching over Kamala’s Heritage

(Headline USA) Despite insisting repeatedly that race should not be an issue while trying to bait former President Donald Trump into attacking Vice President Kamala Harris for her identity politics, leftists at the influential Associated Press launched their own smear attack against the wife of Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio.

The syndicated outlet suggested spurilously that the Republican Party, which recently made history with two major-party primary candidates of full Indian heritage, Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy, was somehow resistant to the idea of embracing a non-white or non-Christian vice-presidential spouse.

The GOP was the first party to put into office a governor of Indian heritage—former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. Jindal, who was elected in 2008—the same year that Barack Obama became the first half-black president—served as chair of the Republican Governor’s Association from 2012 to 2013.

In 2010, Haley was elected by South Carolina Republicans as the second Indian–American governor. No other Indian–American governors from either party have been elected since.

Incidentally, the GOP also holds the distinction of putting the first African–American and Mexican–American governors in office (former Louisiana Gov. P.B.S. Pinchback in 1872 and former California Gov. Romualdo Pacheco in 1875, respectively).

During this year’s Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, the GOP even featured a Sikh prayer by prominent pro-MAGA attorney Harmeet Dhillon.

Harris, who is only half-Indian, has faced backlash within her own party, meanwhile, for having a Jewish husband as Democrats increasingly lean into a pernicious streak of overt anti-Semitism within their ranks. She was widely reported to have rejected Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as her running mate due to his outspoken Jewish identity, in favor of the radical communist sympathizer Tim Walz.

Walz, the current governor of Minnesota, recently oversaw the replacement of the state’s flag with one that, controversially, resembled the flag of Somalia—a nod to the growing population of Muslim refugees that has overtaken Minneapolis and other parts of the Rust Belt—despite their well-known hostility toward Judaism and homosexuality.

As part of our ongoing effort to expose the repugnant media bias and double standards at the AP and other news outlets, Headline USA is running the complete, unedited smear attack on Usha Vance below:

Is Usha Vance’s Hindu identity an asset or a liability to the Trump-Vance campaign?

(Associated Press) Usha Chilukuri Vance loves her “meat and potatoes” husband, JD Vance. She explained to a rapt Republican National Convention audience how their vice-presidential candidate adapted to her vegetarian diet and even learned to cook Indian food from her immigrant mother.

That image of her white, Christian husband making the spicy cuisine of her parents’ native state in South India is atypical for the leaders of a party whose members are still largely white and Christian. Her presence at the RNC sparked enthusiasm on social media among some Indian American conservatives, particularly Hindu Americans, although most Indian Americans identify as Democrats.

But for all Usha Vance shared about their identity-blending marriage in her speech last month in Milwaukee, which was a little over four minutes, she made no mention of her Hindu upbringing or her personal faith and their interfaith relationship—biographical details that have exposed her to online vitriol and hate.

While some political analysts say her strong presence as a Hindu American still makes the community proud, others question whether the Republican Party is really ready for a Hindu second lady.

Usha Vance is choosing to remain silent about her religion in the run-up to the election and declined to speak with The Associated Press about it. She opted not to answer questions about whether she is a practicing Hindu or if she attends Mass with her Catholic husband, an adult convert to the faith in which their three young children are being raised.

Brought up in San Diego by immigrant parents, both professors, in a Hindu household, Usha Vance did confirm that one of their children has an Indian name, and she and JD Vance were married in both “an Indian and an American wedding.” The pair met as students at Yale Law School.

Her Hindu background could appeal to some South Asian voters, which might add value in swing states with larger South Asian communities like Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina, said Dheepa Sundaram, a Hindu Studies professor at the University of Denver. Sundaram says that while some Indian and Hindu conservatives may be eager to embrace Usha Vance, that doesn’t appear to be part of the party’s public-facing strategy.

“To me it seems like her Hindu identity is more of a liability than an asset,” she said. “It also feels like the campaign wants to have it both ways: Usha may be Hindu, which is great, but we don’t want to talk about it.”

Sundaram said Usha Vance would appeal particularly to those Hindu Americans who support the politics of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, under whom Hindu nationalism has surged.

There are deep divisions within some Indian American communities over issues such as taxes, education, relations with India and anti-caste discrimination legislation that gained momentum in Seattle and California. Caste is a division of people based on birth or descent and calls to outlaw related discrimination are growing in the U.S.

About 7 in 10 Indian Americans identify with or lean toward the Democratic Party, while about 3 in 10 identify with or lean toward the Republican Party, according to Pew Research Center surveys conducted in 2022 and 2023. AAPI Data/AP-NORC surveys from earlier this year found that less than 1 in 10 South Asian Americans trust the Republican Party over the Democrats on key issues like abortion, gun policy and climate change, while around half or more trusted the Democratic Party more than the Republicans.

Still Usha Vance, “a second lady who looks like us and speaks like us,” may help capture the attention of a block of voters that has been challenging for Republicans to reach, said Ohio State Sen. Niraj Antani, a Republican and Hindu American who is the youngest member of the state senate.

“If Republicans don’t reach out to minority groups, we will lose elections.”

Vivek Ramaswamy, the 39-year-old biotech entrepreneur who ran for president in 2020 and now supports the Trump-Vance ticket, made his Hindu faith front and center during his campaign last year. He said Hindu teachings had much in common Judeo-Christian values. He declined comment about Usha Vance’s religious background.

Usha Vance’s silence about her religion and Ramaswamy’s defeat in the primary election may indicate that being anything other than Christian in the Republican Party might still be an issue for a part of the base, said Karthick Ramakrishnan, a researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, and executive director of AAPI Data.

“What we’ve seen since the convention is more exclusionary elements within the Republican Party speaking up and against Usha and JD Vance,” Ramakrishnan said. “This, to me, suggests that there is a political price to pay in terms of being open about one’s religious identity that is not Christian. There’s still a long way to go.”

Antani, a Hindu candidate who has won several Ohio state elections in a region that is mostly Christian and deeply conservative, said “the racism in the Republican Party is coming from racists, not Republicans.” Antani, who celebrated Usha Vance speaking about her Indian heritage at the RNC, believes Ramaswamy lost not because he is Hindu, because he was not as well-known as the other candidates.

JD Vance, who publicly condemned the online attacks against his wife, talks about raising his three children Catholic, but his wife doesn’t feature in those conversations. He has also talked about how she helped him find his Catholic faith after a roller coaster of a spiritual journey as he was raised Protestant and became an atheist in college. He and his children were baptized in the church in 2019.

Suhag Shukla, executive director of the Hindu American Foundation, said the fact that Usha Vance inspired her husband on his religious journey to become Catholic is “as Hindu as it gets.”

“Hinduism is about finding your own path and getting in touch with your own spirituality,” she said, adding that the definition of a “practicing Hindu” ranges from someone who goes to temple and performs rituals to someone who is a cultural Hindu who observes festivals such as Diwali, or just engages in a spiritual practice such as meditation.

Usha Vance is an example of the positive contributions made by Hindus, and her interfaith marriage and her ability to listen to different perspectives are reflective of Hindu teachings, she said.

“Hindu Americans assimilate, but also hold on to what inspired them from their tradition and culture,” Shukla said. “Our pluralistic background puts us in a good position to get along with different people without compromising who we are. Hindu culture is very comfortable with differences of opinion.”

Shukla said those who are turning to the Republican party are reacting to anti-Hindu prejudice against Hindu Democrats that is not being shut down by their own party.

“There is this perception that the Democratic Party does not care about the well-being of Hindu Americans or is deaf to the community’s concerns,” she said, referring to legislation including caste as a category in anti-discrimination laws, which was proposed and passed in Seattle. Similar legislation was vetoed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in California.

But Ramakrishnan is not so sure Indian Americans feel welcome in the Republican Party even if they may see eye to eye with conservatives on some issues.

“One of the reasons Indian Americans have been consistently supporting the Democrats is because of the rise of Christian conservatism and nationalism,” he said. “That in itself makes it less likely they will vote Republican or identify as Republican.”

Pentagon Activates Troops for 2024 Presidential Campaign Events

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Pentagon announced Thursday that the U.S. Northern Command will assist the Secret Service for the presidential and vice-presidential campaigns through Inauguration Day 2025.

“As part of this effort, the Department of Defense is providing the U.S. Secret Service with additional assistance including logistics, transportation and communications, through the 2024 campaign season,” Secret Service spokesman Guglielmi said in a Defense Department press release.

The Pentagon assistance comes as the Secret Service faces a reported 650-agent deficit for the United Nations General Assembly, which is scheduled to begin Sept. 10th in New York City. According to journalist Susan Crabtree, there are concerns in the Secret Service that the Pentagon’s soldiers don’t have proper training, and that their presence will create the perception that the U.S. has turned into a militarized police state.

However, the Pentagon insisted in its press release that there’s nothing unusual about its decision.

“The Department of Defense has supported Secret Service protective activities for the sitting president and vice president since Congress passed the Presidential Protection Assistance Act of 1976,” said Guglielmi, the chief of communications for the Secret Service.

“As has been the case for many years, the U.S. Secret Service relies on federal, state and local partners to assist with protective operations.”

Among the times the DoD has assisted the Secret Service was in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill uprising, when National Guard troops guarded the inauguration of President Joe Biden. The Pentagon attached a photo of the 2021 inauguration with its Thursday press release.

The presence of U.S. service members in New York City has also sparked theories that they will be help Democrat Judge Juan Merchan—who’s set to sentence Donald Trump in the Manhattan campaign finance case on Sept. 18.

According to Laura Loomer—who has reported false stories in the past—a federal agent told her the National Guard is in New York City to help send Trump to prison.

“Source says the National Guard is being staged there because the Mayor of NYC @ericadamsfornyc and the Governor of New York @GovKathyHochul both believe the police unions are preparing to stage a mass ‘out sick’ day in support of President Trump on September 18th because none of the officers want to be involved in the persecution of Donald Trump,” Loomer said Friday.

It turns out, the National Guard were guarding a migrant hotel in the video circulated in conjunction with the Loomer report.

WATCH: Nancy Pelosi’s Motorcade Passed Near DNC Pipe Bomb on Jan. 6, 2021

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Newly released footage from the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight shows that then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s motorcade passed near the Democratic National Committee headquarters as she fled the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

“Is this all the way blocked off? We’re going to Fort McNair,” Pelosi’s driver said on the video, before proceeding towards the DNC. The comment was caught on camera by Pelosi’s daughter, Alexandra, who used the footage for an eventual HBO movie. The unaired and previously hidden Pelosi footage is only coming out now, after it was released by House Administration Oversight Subcommittee Chairman Barry Loudermilk.

A House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight spokeswoman told the New York Times that the new information underscores the importance of their work investigating security failures at the Capitol. Pelosi’s spokesman didn’t immediately respond to the NYT’s request for comment, while Capitol Police reportedly admitted that its bomb technicians had “released the pressure and vastly decreased the threat” that the bomb posed by the time Pelosi passed by.

The Pelosi footage comes on the heels of DHS Inspector General Joseph Cuffari releasing a report last month, which revealed that then-Vice President-elect Kamala Harris ended up within feet of the “viable” pipe bomb outside the DNC.

Harris arrived to the DNC at 11:25 a.m., but the nearby pipe bomb wasn’t discovered until 1:07 p.m. by a plainclothes Capitol Police officer.

“The motorcade entered the DNC building via the garage driveway ramp, passing near the still undiscovered pipe bomb,” the DHG-OIG report said.

“The Vice President-elect was ultimately evacuated safely. The motorcade including the Vice President-elect came within less than 20 feet of the pipe bomb, and the Vice President-elect spent approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes at the DNC building before evacuating. Further, a Secret Service agent assigned to the garage entrance spent a total of 5 hours at his post, which was in proximity to the pipe bomb,” the report added.

Despite Pelosi and Harris presumably having their lives endangered from the DNC pipe bomb, both of them have remained tight-lipped on the matter. Conservatives have speculated that they don’t want to call attention to the pipe bombs because they were planted by law enforcement as part of an inside job.

Harris’s Commie Veep Pick Promoted Research Facility Connected to Chinese Military

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Gov. Tim Walz, D–Minn., has been a longtime vocal supporter of a medical research institute with a long track record of collaborating with a firm labeled by the Pentagon as a “Chinese military company” and with Chinese officials with ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

Fox News reported that Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’s running mate has long been aligned with the Hormel Institute, a biomedical research center in Austin, Minn., within the University of Minnesota’s Research and Innovation Office.

As recently as April of this year, a press release from the institute indicated that Walz went to “meet with local leaders and learn of the Institute’s recent progress in groundbreaking biomedical and agricultural research and its expanding education and outreach initiatives.”

“[The Hormel Institute] is no longer a secret, and we don’t want it to be—it’s very un-Minnesotan of us because we’re bragging all the time,” Walz said.

The Hormel Institute has done extensive work with the Beijing Genomics Institute, a group that the Pentagon labeled a “Chinese military company.” Some of this involved research on BGI machines and studies conducted with BGI laboratories in Shenzhen, China, for analysis.

“BGI may be serving, wittingly or unwittingly, as a global collection mechanism for Chinese government gene databases, providing China with greater raw numbers and diversity of human genome samples as well as access to sensitive personal information about key individuals around the world,” The National Security Commission on AI stated in 2022.

The news source reported that concerns about BGI became so prevalent that Congress started considering legislation banning government contracts with the Chinese military subsidiary.

FEC filings also indicated that Dr. Zigang Dong, the former executive director of the Hormel Institute with extensive ties to BGI, has been a longtime and almost exclusive donor to Walz’s political career, including five donations of over $200 to Walz’s congressional campaigns dating back to 2005.

Far-Left Chicago Mayor Admits City Faces $1B Deficit in 2025 Budget

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson recently announced that the far-left city can expect a $982 million deficit for its 2025 budget, almost double what it was for his first year in office.

The Post Millennial reported that Johnson blamed the shortfall on higher spending on city workers and lower revenues from city taxes.

“The size of the budget gap is significant. It’s going to require decisions that will speak to our overall collective desire to build an economy that works for working people. There will be sacrifices that will be made,” Johnson told reporters on Aug. 28, 2024.

In 2023, Johnson dealt with a $538 million budget deficit for 2024 and managed not to lay off city personnel or raise taxes. Johnson declined to say if he would reach for either of those options in the current financial crisis. He also said nothing about possibly legalizing video gambling in the city and slot machines at the airport to raise more money. The mayor also did not deny that layoffs or a hiring freeze in the city could happen.

“There are a number of options that we’ll explore. What we’re working to safeguard against is harm to constituents, to everyday people. We’re working to provide as soft of a landing as possible,” he said.

According to government spending analysts, the city was running a massive deficit, and the mayor will have to understand spending cuts and tax increases.

“The chickens have come home to roost. It is time to get busy. There’s not a silver bullet here. There is not a one size takes care of everything in all situation. We have to open up the budget itself in ways that we haven’t done for many years,” Joe Ferguson, president of the Civic Federation, a nonpartisan watchdog group that focuses on the city’s finances, said.

U.S. Contributed to Creation of Over 1,000 Patents for Chinese Entities

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was revealed that U.S. government agencies have funded research for more than a decade, which resulted in the creation of 1,020 U.S. patents for China-based entities.

The Daily Caller reported that the American government granted patents in semiconductors, chemical engineering, nanotechnology and biotechnology. The parents were all funded, at least in part, by the U.S. and one China-based investor.

The revelations come alongside debates over whether the American government should withdraw from the U.S.-China Science and Technology Agreement, a bilateral research deal criticized for benefiting China too much.

“It’s alarming that U.S. taxpayers have unwittingly funded over 1,000 patents claimed by Chinese entities, with the Department of Defense accounting for nearly 100 of these patents,” Rep. John Moolenar, R-Mich., chairman of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, said.

Patent data revealed that 197 patents were listed in the pharmaceutical sector and 154 in biotechnologies, which are both highly strategic fields for the U.S. and China.

The news source reported whether American entities or other individuals shared the patents was unclear.

The funding was provided by agencies such as the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy, and four agencies received financial backing from NASA, which cannot directly cooperate with Chinese entities under U.S. law. The Department of Health and Human Services also provided more funding than any other agency to help create 356 patents.

The news source stated that it wasn’t clear what specific projects were protected under the patents, adding that there wasn’t an indication that the patents were funded by the U.S.-China Science and Technology Agreement, which is the framework deal penned in 1979 to conduct research between the two countries jointly.

The U.S.-China Science and Technology Agreement was criticized for allowing China to collaborate and glean from research that could help upgrade its military capabilities. Even though the deal expired in August, it has been given multiple extensions, with the latest extension ending on Aug. 27, 2024.

Kamala Harris’s New Arab Outreach Director Is a Rabid Jew-Hater

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was revealed that Kamala Harris’s newly appointed head of Arab-American outreach once exposed her anti-Semitic beliefs by accusing “Zionists” of “controlling” American politics.

“The Zionists have a strong voice in American politics. I would say they’re controlling a lot of it,” Brenda Abdelall, an Egyptian-American lawyer and former Department of Homeland Security official, said in a 2002 interview with the New York Sun while attending the American Muslim Council’s annual convention.

The Washinton Free Beacon reported that Abdelall, whom Harris chose earlier this week to recruit more Arabs as new “vote blue no matter who” voters, made the remarks after a speaker at the event, anti-Israel professor Jamil Fayez, said that “Zionists are destroying America.” Abdelall then noted that while “‘destroying’ is a harsh word,” supporters of the Jewish state do control American politics.

In 2002, the American Muslim Council also invited an infamous anti-Semitic former congresswoman, Cynthia McKinney, D-Ga., who blamed Jews for the 9/11 terror attack and attended a 2009 Holocaust-denial gathering in London. When she lost her congressional seat shortly after the 2002 conference, her father also blamed Jews for that.

“Jews have bought everybody. Jews. J-E-W-S,” he said.

The reason why Harris decided to appoint Abdelall was because she is now trying to appease members of her party’s far-left, Jew-hating flank who want her to more aggressively confront Israel and undermine its war on Hamas, including by cutting off arms sales.

Harris also praised pro-Hamas campus protesters as “showing exactly what the human emotion should be, as a response to Gaza.” Additionally, Harris accused Israel of stoking a “humanitarian catastrophe” this March.

The Beacon reported that Abdelall also suggested during the 2002 American Muslim Council event that the election defeat of former congressman Earl Hilliard Sr., D-Ala., “shows the Jewish influence in politics.” Hilliard had faced criticism from pro-Israel groups for voting against a congressional resolution condemning suicide bombers from Palestine.

Abdelall’s mother also turned out to be an anti-Semite when she founded the American Muslim Council’s Ann Arbor branch, helping the anti-Israel advocacy group expand its presence across the country.

As expected, the Harris campaign defended Adelall, saying that as a DHS official, she “worked closely on the implementation of the country’s first National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism” and “led efforts for the first United We Stand summit, a White House event to counter hate-fueled violence.”

“We are proud to add her to the campaign,” the campaign stated.

White House Defends Facebook Censorship

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A White House spokesperson said the Biden–Harris administration encouraged Facebook to be responsible, even though Mark Zuckerberg was “pressured” to “censor” specific content.

The House Judiciary Committee recently published a letter from Zuckerberg about repeated demands from the Biden-Harris administration to censor any content related to coronavirus and vaccines.

In 2021, Zuckerberg wrote that “senior officials from the Biden administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire, and expressed a lot of frustration with our teams when we didn’t agree.”

Blaze Media reported that the White House declined to acknowledge its fault and that Zuckerberg had used terms regarding censorship and pressure.

“When confronted with a deadly pandemic, this administration encouraged responsible actions to protect public health and safety,” a White House spokesperson said.

The White House official then said that Big Tech platforms, like Facebook, are responsible for the censorship because they can make “independent” choices about the content posted on their apps.

“Our position has been clear and consistent. We believe tech companies and other private actors should take into account the effects their actions have on the American people while making independent choices about the information they present,” the official said in the statement.
