(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Democrats have tried to explain the bizarre attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband by blaming Republicans for alleged violent rhetoric, while calling for peace and civility in public discourse.
The same standard doesn’t apply to a top-ranking Biden/Obama operative, who maligned Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake as a “disgusting piece of shit.”
Jon Cooper, former national finance chair of Draft Biden and campaign chair for Barack Obama, claimed the slur was in response to Lake joking about the attack on Paul Pelosi.
During a campaign event, as news about the assault was still breaking and the severity of the attack unknown, Lake made an off-the-cuff remark while talking about protecting kids in school that, “Nancy Pelosi has protection when she’s in DC. Apparently, her house doesn’t have a lot of protection.”
That was enough for a leading voice of the self-proclaimed party of civility to not only smear a female MAGA Republican, but also brag about it.
“Breaking: I’ve just learned that Shit is suing me for libel for comparing it to Kari Lake,” yukked Obama’s campaign chair.
“Hey Kari, I see you left out the key detail that I only called you a “disgusting piece of shit” AFTER you cruelly mocked the violent attack on Paul Pelosi before a laughing crowd at one of your campaign events,” Cooper claimed in attempted defense of his offensively demeaning slur, apparently referencing Lake’s innocuous one-liner.
“You’re such a snowflake — and a truly horrible person.”
Lake, who polls show has surged to a solid lead in the Arizona’s governor’s race over Democrat Katie Hobbs, responded with a tweet that encapsulated the Left’s hypocrisy.

During a Tuesday night rally, Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk credited Lake for not backing down to haters like Biden’s campaign chief and a biased media, while standing up to the same for pro-liberty Republicans that are similarly being slurred and defamed.
“The media knows the significance of what Kari Lake will mean as governor,” Kirk said. “It means all of a sudden that the media can no longer just destroy you with a bad article.
“For all of you that are slandered, and are slurred, and are defamed, Kari Lake stands in the chasm and she says ‘You’re not going to be able to do that to 75 million Americans anymore.’”
