(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) As the invasion of Ukraine continues, speculation has only grown with regard to the underlying causes that provoked Russian President Vladimir Putin to attack, the Conservative Tree House reported.
In a recent interview with CNN, Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that US President Joe Biden and NATO leaders had told him privately that the country’s inclusion in the Western NATO alliance was off the table—even as they publically goaded Putin by dangling the prospect.
“I requested them personally to say directly that we are going to accept you into NATO in a year or two or five—just say it directly and clearly, or just say no,” Zelenskyy said. “And the response was very clear: ‘You’re not going to be a NATO member, but publicly, the doors will remain open.'”
There has been no public explanation as to why Biden and NATO would want Zelenskyy to pretend Ukraine had the potential to be a NATO country.
This statement came out months after Biden publicly assured Zelenskyy that Ukraine’s bid to join NATO was in its own hands.
Vice President Kamala Harris has gone even farther—implying in several public addresses that Ukraine already was a NATO member.

Russian officials have made it clear in the past that they would not concede allowing Ukraine to join NATO—an understanding that stemmed from the terms which granted Ukraine its independence following the fall of the Soviet Union.
But those 30-year-old agreements have been regularly tested since came to power in March 2000.
Some speculate that Biden and his globalist allies were attempting to distract the world by leapfrogging strate from the coronavirus pandemic into another world crisis that allows them to reassert authoritarian control over the population.
Despite public outrage over the rising inflation and supply shortages, such steps are necessary to usher America and other western nations through the transition to a “new world order” with Russia being the latest in a litany of obvious scapegoats.
“The people around Biden want soaring energy costs; they want huge increases in gasoline costs as part of their Green New Deal agenda,” the Conservative Treehouse said.
Of course, Biden himself may be a patsy for the true culprits of this audacious conspiracy, the article added.
“These are… the most intense elements within the Obama crowd, and Biden has been installed as a disposable figurehead allowing them to operate a policy agenda without any concern for political damage,” it said.
