(Alex Tien, Headline USA) After openly crying on national television because of online bullying, Washington Post columnist Taylor Lorenz has continued to defend her decision to reveal the identity of the person behind the “Libs of TikTok” twitter account.
Lorenz, appearing on Brian Stetler‘s Sunday CNN program “Reliable Sources”, continued to double-down on her hypocrisy and said that what she did was “very by the book,” the Daily Caller reported.
The “Libs of TikTok” twitter account has gained a massive following over the past few months. The content of the account reposts woke recordings that liberals have made of themselves. Examples include leftist teachers presenting slideshows to their students about transgenderism, instructions on how to identify a toddler’s gender, as well as teachers shouting to students, “I’m your parents now!”
Unsurprisingly, the account became worrisome for many, particularly those who are apolitical who previously had not witnessed any of the leftist woke insanity, especially when it was happening in the nation’s public school system.
The Washington Post’s Taylor Lorenz apparently decided that this account was becoming too popular and began an investigation to find who was behind this account. Unfortunately, she was successful and revealed the identity of the woman behind the account.
Less than a month ago, Lorenz broke down during an MSNBC interview where she claimed to have received “severe PTSD” from threats she had received online.
Many conservatives were confused and outraged when the liberal journalist did exactly what she claimed to have caused her such an enormous amount of pain only weeks later.
On Sunday, Lorenz made a number of baffling comments showing an extreme lack of self-awareness.
“I think it’s rare to see an account gain so much prominence so quickly and be shaping these narratives in such an effective way, especially against trans people,” she said.
“So, I was — I mean, my story was kind of long, but I really wanted to make the case like why this account mattered.
“And I think it’s incredibly important, you know, as someone that covers the influencer industry to know who is exerting influence in this way. I mean, for all we knew, this could have been a foreign actor, right, or someone — we just didn’t know,” she said.
