US Leads the World in Monkeypox Cases

'Meanwhile, testing capacity, another bottleneck, has improved... '

(Chris ParkerHeadline USA) The latest viral craze that’s sweeping the world is hitting especially hard in Biden’s America.

The US now leads all other nations for the most confirmed or suspected cases of monkeypox, reported Breitbart.

Domestic cases have increased 33% in just three days, shortly after the World Health Organization declared a global health emergency. Spain was previously in the lead with the most cases. The US case count currently sits at 3,846.

The WHO believes a coordinated global effort is needed to “prevent the virus from spreading further and potentially escalating into a pandemic.” Some countries are already mandating 21-day quarantines.

When asked if similar measures are necessary in the US, President Joe Biden replied, “No, I don’t think so.” The federal government has done very little to educate the population on how monkeypox spreads and what measures can help prevent infections.

So far, the virus has largely spread via sex within the gay community. Unlike COVID, the government isn’t as outspoken in its efforts to quell the behaviors facilitating this outbreak.

The White House is currently vetting experts to name as its monkeypox coordinator. The administration is also weighing whether it should issue an emergency declaration, which would give the government sweeping powers similar to those used during the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, some officials argued that such a response isn’t merited since no US deaths have been linked to the disease. They thought the move would be “mostly symbolic.”

Testing for the virus has also remained lackluster despite the two years and trillions of taxpayer dollars spent learning from the COVID-19 outbreak. The federal government, it appears, is largely starting from scratch.

“Meanwhile, testing capacity, another bottleneck, has improved,” according to the Biden regime.

The virus recently infected two children in the US. One is a toddler in California, while the other is a foreign infant visiting Washington, DC. Both are recovering. Officials believe they contracted the virus through household contact.
