Speculation Emerges Online about SCOTUS Leaker’s Identity

'As a Yale student, Jain blasted Yale for supporting Brett Kavanaugh's nomination. Jain was quoted in a 2017 Politico piece by Josh Gerstein... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The leak of Justice Samuel Alito‘s draft concerning the possible overturning of Roe v. Wade has lead to speculation as to who could be responsible.

The investigation is ongoing, but that has not stopped the interest from growing—especially on Twitter.

A clerk for Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Amit Jain, has a connection to Josh Gerstein, the Politico reporter who published the document, according to Twitchy

Many Twitter users have brought up past examples of Jain’s open leftward bias, including signing a letter slamming Yale University for supporting Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his nomination hearings.

There has also been speculation that Elizabeth Deutsch, who currently clerks for Justice Stephen Breyer, may be behind the leaking of these documents.

Lawyer and Twitter user Will Chamberlain revealed in a thread that much of Deutsch’s career has been focused on abortion. Although she does not have a direct connection to Gerstein, her husband was a reporter for Politico for a time and even shared bylines with Gerstein.

There has also been some speculation on the left that Justice Alito’s own clerk leaked the documents in order to ensure the repeal was passed.
