Polls Show Most Americans Fear End of Democracy, Fault Democrats for It

(Headline USA) A new poll showed that a majority of Americans believe it is “likely” the U.S. will “cease to be a democracy in the future.”

The Yahoo News/YouGov poll showed that 55% of Democrats, 53% of Republicans, and 49% of all Americans, including independents, expressed despair at the future of the country. Just 25% said they believe the end of U.S. democracy is unlikely, and another 25% said they are unsure.

Unfortunately for Democrats, more voters said that Republicans are better than Democrats at preserving U.S. democracy:

These numbers come as President Joe BIden’s approval ratings continue to drop. A recent survey found that 82% of voters rate the economy negatively, and 50% said they blame Biden for soaring food and gas prices.
