Plea Deal Possible for NYC Prof. Who Threatened Journalist w/ Machete

'Get the f–k away from my door, or I’m gonna chop you up with this machete!'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A former adjunct college professor in New York City who threatened a reporter by holding a large machete to his neck may be getting a plea deal, the New York Post reported.

Bronx Criminal Court Judge Matthew Bondy suggested that there may be a “possible disposition” in the case, despite the fact that Shellyne Rodriguez has been charged with harassment and menacing.

The judge also set a court date for the “possible disposition” on Oct. 2.

Bondy noted that he had received a letter from Bronx Community Solutions, a program that offers “jail alternatives” to criminal defendants.

The “alternatives” include counseling and community service.

Meanwhile, the Bronx District Attorney’s Office said it had neither “determined nor communicated a plea offer yet” to Rodriguez and her lawyer.

“We are reviewing information sent by defense counsel, continuing our investigation, and keeping the victim apprised of any developments,” a DA spokesperson told the press.

The craziness began in May, when Rodriguez, an adjunct art professor at Hunter College, screamed at pro-life students and attacked their display table.

“You’re not educating s**t,” she yelled at the hapless and stunned subordinates exercising their free-speech rights.

“This is f***ing propaganda,” she continued. “What are you going to do, like anti-trans next?”

When a reporter from the New York Post tried to inquire with Rodriguez about her actions, she proceeded to hold a machete to his throat, telling him to “get the f*** away from more door, or I’m gonna chop you up with this machete!”

Rodriguez was subsequently fired after Hunter College officials reviewed the footage of the on-campus episode.

However, she insisted that she was the victim because the students robbed her of her “sense of safety.”

She claimed that students “manipulated” the video of the incident in order to mobilize “their members and supporters to attack me.”

She also cited her “fear that they would show up at my home to cause me physical harm, as has happened with so many other women who have similarly had their personal info exposed as a form of politically motivated harassment.”

Rodriguez’s lawyer will likely advance the same argument in court.
