N.Y. Adjunct Prof. Goes on Unhinged Rant against Pro-Life Students, Vandalizes Table

'You’re not educating s**t. This is f***ing propaganda... '

(Headline USA) A New York professor went on an unhinged rant against pro-life students this week, knocking over their information table inside the school building, according to video footage of the incident.

Shellyne Rodriguez, an adjunct professor at Hunter College in Manhattan, approached the pro-life students at their information table and accused them of “triggering” other students.

“You’re not educating s**t. This is f***ing propaganda,” the art professor said. “What are you going to do like anti-trans next?”

A student behind the table calmly responded, “I mean no, we’re talking about abortion.”

Rodriguez then claimed their information table was “violent” and yelled at the male student, saying, “You can’t even have a f***ing baby.”

She then began pushing pamphlets and other materials on the students’ table onto the ground, screaming “F*** this s**t.”

A spokesperson for Hunter College said the school is aware of the incident and is “taking this matter very seriously.”

“The provost has opened an investigation into the professor’s actions,” the spokesperson said. “Hunter College prides itself on maintaining decorum and respect for all, while encouraging the free expression of ideas. Students can display one side of a political issue, or more than one side. We consider our campus a vibrant marketplace of ideas.”

The labor union representing Rodriguez defended her behavior, saying her actions were justified because of “right-wing anti-abortion backlash.”

The pro-life students “set up a table and prominent banners to propagate dangerously false propaganda,” the PSC Graduate Center claimed.

“Hunter College adjunct educator Shellyne Rodriguez approached the display, constructively critiqued the group members, and eventually physically took down items from the table,” the union added. “Her actions to shut down the tabling were fully justified, and are part of a long and celebrated CUNY legacy of confronting groups such as military recruiters who disseminate misleading information.”
