House GOP Probing Whether White House Illegally Altered Biden’s ‘Garbage’ Comment in Transcript

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) It’s widely known by now that President Joe Biden called Trump supporters “garbage” on Tuesday during a Zoom call with Voto Latino, a prominent U.S. voter outreach group.

But you might not know it if you only read a White House transcript of Biden’s remarks. The official White House transcript of Biden’s remarks incorrectly placed an apostrophe in the word “supporters,” making it “supporter’s” to give the false impression the demeaning Democrat did not stoop to the name-calling seen on video.

Now, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky., and Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-Fla., are probing whether the White House’s alteration was illegal.

“Instead of apologizing or clarifying President Biden’s words, the White House instead sought to change them (despite them being recorded on video) by releasing a false transcript of his remarks. The move is not only craven, but it also appears to be in violation of federal law, including the Presidential Records Act of 1978,” Comer and Stefanik said Wednesday in a letter to Edward Siskel, the Assistant to the President and White House Counsel.

“White House staff cannot rewrite the words of the President of the United States to be more politically on message. Though President Biden’s relevance continues to diminish, his

words continue to matter, even as they become increasingly divisive and erratic.”

Comer and Stefanik demanded that the White House retain and preserve all documents and internal communications regarding President Biden’s statement and the ensuing inaccurate transcript. They also demanded that the White House issue a corrected transcript with the accurate words.

Biden remarks came in response to a question about comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s joke referring to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage” at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday.

“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said.

Biden’s comments hit news airwaves simultaneously as Vice President Kamala Harris delivered her closing pitch to voters at the Ellipse that evening in Washington, D.C.—leading to jokes among Trump supporters that Biden’s secretly trying to sabotage Harris.

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin Endorses Trump

(Headline USA) Astronaut Buzz Aldrin endorsed former President Donald Trump this week, arguing the U.S. needs a “proven, serious, tested leader” to face multiple “difficult realities.”

The Apollo 11 hero, who became the second man ever to walk on the moon, started by praising Trump for taking space policy seriously.

“Over the years, I have seen our government’s approach to space wax and wane, a fluctuating dynamic that has disappointed me from time to time,” Aldrin said in a statement released on Wednesday.

“But under the first Trump Administration, I was impressed to see how human space exploration was elevated, made a policy of high importance again,” he continued.

Trump’s commitment to the National Space Council and his creation of the U.S. Space Force were vital policy changes, Aldrin said, especially “as space becomes a contested domain.”

Aldrin also complimented tech mogul Elon Musk, who similarly endorsed Trump this summer.

“I have been enthused and excited by the great advancements in the private sector space economy, led by visionaries like Elon Musk,” Aldrin said. “These are concrete accomplishments that align with my concerns and America’s policy priorities.”

All together, Aldrin said he believes the U.S. is “best served” by electing Trump.

Aldrin has been active in Republican politics for years and spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2016. This is the first time, however, that he has endorsed Trump directly.

Trump has vowed to pursue an even more aggressive agenda when it comes to space exploration if he is elected in November.

In August, he proposed expanding the National Guard to include a Space National Guard.

“We’re leading in space throughout the armed forces,” Trump said. “We will make a historic investment in building a U.S. military for the 21st century, investing heavily in drones, robotics, artificial intelligence, hypersonics.”

Nikki Haley Sends Cease-and-Desist Order to ‘Haley Voters for Harris’ PAC

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that former GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley has sent a cease-and-desist letter to “Haley Voters for Harris,” a political-action committee spending about $4 million on digital ads to encourage moderates in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania to support Kamala Harris.

According to WSJ, Haley Voters for Harris is funded by the pro-Harris group, PivotPAC. The group originally launched “Haley Voters for Biden” before changing the name upon Biden’s ouster.

Now, Haley is reportedly trying to shut the PAC down.

“Haley sent a cease-and-desist letter to the group, demanding her name not be used; it disputed the legal claim and has continued to do so,” WSJ reported.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has yet to campaign with Haley, despite her offers to do so.

While the Harris campaign apparently sees Trump’s reluctance to campaign with Haley as an opportunity, Haley is deeply unpopular with Trump’s base—for good reason. Throughout the GOP primaries, Haley presented herself as the GOP’s anti-populist candidate, and its alternative to Trumpism.

Among other positions, Haley has endorsed escalating U.S. involvement in the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, removing caps on American corporations hiring foreign workers, and removing anonymity from the internet.

She was endorsed by a variety of deep state actors, including  Jeffrey Epstein’s former banker, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon. Former CIA Director Michael Morrell—one of the 51 disgraced intelligence officials who called the Hunter Biden laptop story “Russian disinfo” ahead of the 2020 presidential election—also endorsed her.

According to WSJ, Haley was scheduled Wednesday to hit the campaign trail in Pennsylvania to support Republican David McCormick in his challenge of Democratic Sen. Bob Casey.

“It will be her first real campaigning since dropping out of the primary. More than 16% of GOP voters in the state picked Haley in April—more than a month after she dropped out of the race. That was almost 160,000 people, or roughly double the vote margin Joe Biden secured in winning the state in the 2020 presidential election,” WSJ reported.

Leftist Reporter Targets Ramaswamy’s Globalist Rift w/ Trump over Blanket Tariffs

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Former 2024 presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy swatted down a left-wing journalist’s claims that he sounded like a globalist during an interview Tuesday about GOP nominee Donald Trump’s plan to enact tariffs as part of his “America First” agenda.

Ramaswamy, who founded the pharmaceutical company Roivant Sciences prior to entering into politics, sparred with Ezra Klein—the former Vox editor and co-founder now writing for the New York Times.

After rolling out his economic-recovery plan for a second term in September, Trump has frequently said in interviews and rallies that his new favorite word is “tariff”—in particular, his plan to reinstate tariffs on Chinese goods to incentivize manufacturing in the U.S.

“It’s more beautiful than love … it’s the most beautiful word,” he said during an interview last week with influential podcaster Joe Rogan. “This country can become rich with the use—the proper use—of tarrifs.”

Trump praised a predecessor, former President William McKinley, for having ushered America into a time of prosperity in the late 19th century by taxing imported goods at a higher rate than those produced domestically, garnering him the nickname “the tariff king.”

Trump previously warned John Deere that, as president, he would hit the tractor company with a 200% tariff if it outsourced its manufacturing to Mexico.

The Republican nominee also announced that he would impose a blanket tariff on all imported goods, as well as a 60% tariff on Chinese imports to boost manufacturing in the U.S.

Ramaswamy, whose parents immigrated from India, appeared to take a broader view of the economic benefits the plan had to offer beyond America’s borders.

He told Klein that the “chief and vital objective” for the U.S. was to declare economic independence from China, adding that by expanding trade relationships with countries like South Korea, Japan and India, others could benefit from the resulting trade war.

“[I]f your top goal is to protect American manufacturers from effects of foreign price competition, then you actually want less trade with those countries,” Ramaswamy explained.

“But if that’s your objective, then you’re necessarily delaying the time period it takes to declare independence from China,” he added. “So there’s a choice.”

Klein claimed that Ramaswamy’s stance seemed more aligned with where the Biden administration stood on foreign trade policies than with Trump.

“I disagree with that,” Ramaswamy said.

“I’m sure you will,” Klein shot back, saying Ramaswamy was describing “friend-shoring.”

He argued that the former president intended to ban all imported goods from friends and foes of the U.S., not just China, in order to incentivize American production and to level off existing trade deficits.

“It sounds to me like you’re interested in this other idea that our trade with friends should go up in order to make trade with China go down,” Klein said. “That strikes me as actually more common cause right now with people on the Democratic side than people on the Republican ticket.”

Ramaswamy said he did not care about party label because both parties have “deep divides” when it came to matters of free trade and U.S. isolationism.

“Donald Trump is all about, with respect to the international stage, using our leverage to the maximum extent possible,” Ramaswamy said.

Paul Pelosi Attacker Gets Life Without Parole Sentence

(Headline USA) The man who was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for attacking the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with a hammer in their California home was given a life term without the possibility of parole on Tuesday following a separate state trial.

A San Francisco jury in June found David DePape guilty of charges including aggravated kidnapping, first-degree burglary and false imprisonment of an elder.

Before sentencing DePape to life for the kidnapping conviction, Judge Harry Dorfman rejected defense attorneys’ arguments that he be granted a new state trial for the 2022 attack against Paul Pelosi, who was 82 years old at the time.

“It’s my intention that Mr. DePape will never get out of prison, he can never be paroled,” Dorfman said while handing out the punishment.

He later said, “I don’t feel sympathy for you. I feel sympathy for the victim in this case, who’s lucky to be alive.”

Adam Lipson, a San Francisco deputy public defender, had asked Dorfman to consider DePape’s mental health and isolation that made him susceptible to online propaganda.

“This is a man who has always been a peaceful, law-abiding person up until his activation,” Lipson said before the punishment was handed down.

When given the chance to address the court prior to his sentencing, DePape, dressed in prison orange and with his brown hair in a ponytail, spoke at length about Sept. 11 being an inside job, his ex-wife being replaced by a body double, and his government-provided attorneys conspiring against him.

“I’m a psychic,” DePape told the court, reading from sheets of paper.

“The more I meditate, the more psychic I get,” he continued.

The judge interrupted DePape multiple times to ask if he wanted to address the jury’s verdict or his conduct on the night of the attack, but DePape ignored the offers.

In a letter read in court by the victim’s daughter, Christine Pelosi, Paul Pelosi called for the maximum sentence, saying the “last peaceful sleep” he had ended abruptly “when the defendant violently broke into my home, burst into my bedroom and stood over my bed with a hammer and zip ties demanding to see my wife, yelling ‘Where’s Nancy?'”

He said the attack left him with bumps on his head, a metal plate in it, dizziness and nerve damage in his left hand.

Sleeping alone at home evokes memories of the attack, he said.

In a statement after Tuesday’s sentencing, the Pelosi family said that after a grueling two years, “legal justice has been served.”

“Today’s sentence of life without parole gives our Pop some measure of legal justice and, we hope, a message to others that political violence against elected officials or their family members will not be tolerated, minimized or condoned,” the statement said.

“We must each do our part to build a peaceful democracy,” it continued.

Previously, a federal jury convicted DePape of assaulting a federal official’s family member and attempting to kidnap a federal official.

In May, he was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison.

Although DePape expressed remorse for his actions at the federal sentencing, he did not do that on Tuesday.

Judges in both cases said they could not ignore the seriousness of targeting elected officials.

Judge Dorfman on Tuesday also sentenced DePape to additional years on the other counts, but all the sentences, including the federal one, will run concurrently.

He said that if an appellate court overturns his sentence of life without parole, he will ask that the case be sent back to his court for resentencing.

Lipson told reporters after the hearing that he will appeal the ruling. “This was a really tragic end to a tragic story,” he said.

The prosecutors, San Francisco assistant district attorneys Sean Connolly and Phoebe Maffei, said in a statement that the sentence reflects the seriousness of DePape’s conduct and the harm he inflicted on an innocent man.

“There is no rejoicing in such cases. There are no winners,” it said.

The defense argued that the state trial amounted to double jeopardy, saying that although the state and federal counts weren’t exactly the same, the two cases stem from the same act.

The judge dismissed some of the state charges, but he kept others that weren’t covered by the federal case.

The Oct. 28, 2022, attack on Paul Pelosi was captured on police body camera video just days before the midterm elections and shocked the political world.

He suffered head wounds, including a skull fracture that was mended with plates and screws.

DePape, a Canadian citizen who has been living in the U.S. for years, admitted during his federal trial that he planned to hold Nancy Pelosi hostage, record his interrogation of her, and “break her kneecaps” if she did not admit to the lies he said she told about “Russiagate,” a reference to the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign.

Update: Trump Campaign Wins Pa. Lawsuit; Early Voting Through Friday in Bucks County

UPDATE: Hours after filing suit against a Pennsylvania county that shut down precincts up to three hours early on Tuesday, the Trump campaign declared victory.

“The Pennsylvania Court has ordered that Bucks County must extend its in-person absentee voting (Pennsylvania’s early voting) through November 1,” it wrote in a statement. “This is a huge win for President Trump’s election integrity efforts.”

The campaign also urged voters in the county—and anywhere else that was trying to disfranchise law-abiding voters—to stick to their guns if anyone attempted to misdirect them.

“Bucks County, GO VOTE! If you’re in line by 5:00PM, it’s your right to vote – stay in line!” the statement said.

Original story below:

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) In the opening salvo of what is likely to be a brutal courtroom battle against Marc Elias and his legion of lawyers to force Democrats (and some corrupt Republicans) in swing states to uphold election law, the Trump campaign sued Bucks County, Pennsylvania, for illegally shutting down early voting on Tuesday, the final day to do so before next week’s election.

“This is a direct violation of Pennsylvanians’ rights to cast their ballot – and all voters have a right to STAY in line,” the campaign said in a statement announcing the lawsuit.

Turnout for early voting has been robust nationwide, with Republicans reportingly leading in several swing states, although Democrats maintained a significant advantage in Pennsylvania, where more than 1.4 million of the commonwealth’s 9 million registered voters had cast early ballots as of Monday.

Multiple Pennsylvania counties, however, had also reported on malfeasance, including suspicious ballot requests in at least three counties, reports of broken machines, a bomb threat and other efforts to derail voters.

A video posted to X also showed what watchdogs said was buses full of non-English-speakers wearing Harris/Walz stickers who were allowed to cut ahead of those waiting in line and received assistance from “translators” filling out their ballots.

Most outrageous of all, however, was Bucks County, where officials illegally closed down early voting in Quakerstown at 1:45 p.m. and in Levittown at 3:45 p.m., despite Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro and the commonwealth’s State Department having already announced that the early voting deadline was 5 p.m.

Several people dressed in police uniforms harrassed those who refused to exit the line while trying to assert their legal right to vote.

Watchdogs also documented individuals with fake “Voter Protection” badges claiming to be voting officials, although they were revealed, upon closer inspection, to be Democrat operatives.

One of the officers prominently featured in the viral videos appeared to be Charles Geiger, a Bucks County Emergency Services peace officer (i.e. security guard) who made two donations totaling $99 to WinRed, a Republican donation aggregator, in September. Headline USA reached out to Geiger and will update with any response.

The episodes followed a similar incident on Monday that was denounced by Republican National Committee co-chair Michael Whatley, in which a woman was reportedly arrested for telling others it was their right to stay in line.

After outrage grew on social media, prompting Republican lawyers to respond, Bucks County officials subsequently announced that those who had been forced to leave the line on Tuesday could return later in the week to cast their vote.

The Trump campaign said that anyone asked to exit the line before the designated time should submit a report for its team of litigators to review.

Billionaire X owner Elon Musk, who has been a staunch supporter of Trump’s campaign, also announced that any voters who had encountered evidence of fraud or other issues undermining election integrity could document them at a database on the platform.

RARE BARGAIN: The Remarkable Backstory of the Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle Coin

(Money Metals News Service) The Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle is arguably America’s most iconic, beautiful, and historic coin. It’s easy to see why it’s immensely popular among collectors and investors alike.

Yet this classic U.S. coin is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition at bullion pricing right now!

The $20 “Saint” boasts a fascinating backstory, a gorgeous design, and a hefty gold weight of nearly one troy ounce.

In 1904, President Theodore Roosevelt lamented that America’s coinage had become stale in appearance. The four major gold coins, in particular, had gone decades without any significant change.

Teddy Roosevelt had recently examined the Smithsonian Institution’s collection of ancient coins and was impressed by their beauty—especially those struck in high relief. With this in mind, Roosevelt asked famed sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens if he could overhaul the Double Eagle.

As requested, Saint-Gaudens submitted an innovative design in ultra high relief. The sculptor was apparently more concerned with form than function; his prototypes required an immense amount of striking pressure.

The coins, while stunning in appearance, had to be struck nine times with a special medal press! This was completely impractical for mass production. Just two dozen of these initial “Ultra High Relief” Double Eagles were made in 1907; one sold at auction for over $3,600,000!

Later that year, the coin was modified so that each piece could be struck with less effort. This proved to be a necessary adjustment, as there was intense worldwide demand for the $20 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle.

Millions of pieces were requested by banks, institutions, and even foreign governments. The $20 Saint was not just a popular form of money in America; it was one of the world’s preferred ways to own gold.

Franklin D. Roosevelt Melted Down Most St. Gaudens Coins in the 1930s

Even though the U.S. Mint produced an enormous number of $20 Saints, vast quantities were later melted in the 1930s. Ironically, just as one Roosevelt created this coin, a different Roosevelt called for its demise.

Franklin D. Roosevelt issued a 1933 executive order halting all gold coin production and banning private ownership of the yellow metal.

The result: virtually all unreleased $20 Saints (i.e., pieces sitting in government vaults) were melted into large “coin melt” bars, as were countless other coins involuntarily turned in by private citizens.

Fortunately for collectors, some $20 Saints had been sent overseas and were shielded from destruction (along with those coins Americans hid away). Many of the surviving examples probably spent time sitting in European or South American bank vaults.

Even though millions of $20 Saints were made, a relatively small percentage exists today. Unlike modern gold bullion products, which can usually be produced to meet demand, there is a finite supply of Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles.

Sometimes, the market supply cannot satisfy demand; premiums can rise dramatically in these situations.

Market Anomaly Prices St. Gaudens Coins in Same Range As Modern-Day Gold Eagles

While $20 Saints normally trade for significant premiums, you can actually now pick up these coins at low bullion rates.

In fact, as of October 2024, the premium over spot on a classic $20 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle is about the Same as the premium on back-dated 1 oz American Gold Eagle!

Even better: these Saints are in Brilliant Uncirculated Mint State condition (BU), meaning they display original luster and do not have any loss of detail from circulation. However, BU specimens can display contact marks from storage in original mint bags (this is sometimes referred to as “bag wear”).

Not only are $20 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles in Brilliant Uncirculated condition a more cost-effective way to acquire gold than purchasing an American Gold Eagle – but they’re also a pleasure to own, hold, and behold.

Plus, they offer you two ways to profit: an increase in spot prices and/or a jump in premiums. Whether you’re a collector or investor, these BU $20 Saints might be one of the smartest ways to accumulate gold today!

Court Gives Immunity to FBI Agents Who Coerced Targets to Become Informants

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The U.S. Second Circuit Appeals Court ruled Tuesday that FBI agents who placed several targets on the “No-Fly List” for refusing to become informants are protected by qualified immunity.

The decision stems from 2013, when three Muslim men sued the government, alleging that FBI agents asked them to serve as government informants in Muslim communities. When they refused, the agents placed them on the “No Fly List”—even though none of them were national security threats. The agents then suggested that they could remove the Muslims from the list if they turned snitch, according to the lawsuit.

The case bounced around the courts for more than a decade, until the Second Circuit finally upheld a lower court’s dismissal. In doing so, the Second Circuit stated for the “first time that U.S. government officials cannot use the No Fly List to try to coerce U.S. Muslims into spying on their communities against their religious beliefs,” according to a press release from the Center for Constitutional Rights.

However, “At the same time, the court upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit seeking damages from federal agents who engaged in the illegal practice,” the rights watchdog added.

In its ruling, the Second Circuit rebuked the FBI agents for their constitutional violations.

“At its core, the complaint alleges that government agents pressured individuals to serve as informants—at risk to their own and their families’ safety—and to report on the activities of their neighbors and community members by falsely and in bad faith accusing them of terrorism to deny them significant liberties under a program designed to protect lives from genuine terrorists. That is improper behavior,” the justices wrote in their opinion.

However, the Second Circuit declined to assess damages against the FBI agents, ruling that they have qualified immunity.

“None of the Appellees had reason to understand that their actions violated clearly established law,” the court ruled. “As a result, they are entitled to qualified immunity, and the district court properly dismissed the Appellants’ RFRA claims for damages.”

One of the plaintiffs said he’s thankful for the ruling, even though he won’t be receiving any damages.

“We sued and won back our ability to fly to see our families and for work,” the lead plaintiff, Muhammad Tanvir, explained in a press release Tuesday.

“Then the Supreme Court agreed we could try to make federal agents pay for violating our religious rights. But it was never just about money. We fought for a decade so people would know what happened to us and so the same thing wouldn’t happen to others. Even if this decision does not give us everything, we still won.”

Report: Facebook Censored Hunter Biden Laptop Scandal out of Fear for Biden-Harris Backlash

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The House Weaponization Subcommittee has released another report on Big Tech’s suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story, revealing that Facebook may have de-amplified the news before the 2020 election to prevent backlash from a potential Biden-Harris administration.

The Weaponization Subcommittee report, first obtained and released by journalist Breanna Morello, includes new internal Facebook communications about the laptop story, both before and after it was published in October 2020 by the New York Post.

For example, on Sept. 19, 2020, an unnamed Facebook employee warned colleagues that the story was incoming. The Facebook employee said they wouldn’t be able to prove that the laptop story was Russian disinformation—as officials in the U.S. government were alleging—but the message suggested that Facebook was prepared to censor the story.

“We are likely to have in the next few weeks a leak of series of leaks about Biden’s supposed link to Burisma, where we won’t be able to prove they were ‘leaked,’ but where we will have responsible USG players publicly saying this is part of a foreign influence operation,” the Facebook employee said in September 2020.

“Our own assessment will align that this is a Russian op, and we will hear from our trusted secret squirrel partners that this is a Russian op,” the employee added, presumably referring to government officials as the “trusted secret squirrel partners.”

Another Facebook email from Oct. 5, 2020, admitted that the company planned to censor the laptop story “whether evidence of a hack exists or not.”

And after the Post published its initial report on the laptop scandal on Oct. 14, 2020, Facebook executive Nick Clegg suggested that it be censored to avoid backlash from a potential Biden administration.

“Obviously, our calls on this could colour the way an incoming Biden administration views us more than almost anything else,” Clegg told Facebook Vice President of Global Public Policy Joel Kaplan.

As readers are surely aware, Facebook and other tech firms did censor the laptop story, which Republicans say helped swing the election to Biden.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted on the Joe Rogan Experience in August 2022 that his company censored the story at the behest of government agents.

As a result, “For a pivotal week, the most important story of the 2020 presidential election was censored,” the Weaponization Subcommittee concluded in its report.

Zuckerberg wasn’t only responsible for censorship in the 2020 election. He also funneled $350 million into the Center for Technology and Civic Life, which issued grants, infamously known as “Zuckbucks,” to counties and city election officials ahead of the election.

These grants have faced widespread criticism, leading to at least 28 states enacting laws to ban or restrict third-party financing in elections. Similarly, 12 counties have passed similar restrictions, according to the Capital Research Center.

Top Conservatives Call Out NYTimes over Media Matters Hit Piece

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Numerous conservative media outlets called out the New York Times ahead of its forthcoming hit piece Monday, to be published in joint with the far-left group Media Matters.

In order to get comment from a number of conservative media figures, New York Times journalist Nico Grant reached out to likes of Tucker Carlson, who immediately shared the text exchange on X:

According to the message, Media Matters “identified 286 YouTube videos between May and August that contained election misinformation, including narratives that have been debunked or are not supported with credible evidence.”

The laughable message also suggested that Carlson himself posted several videos containing “election misinformation” during that time frame.

In response, Carlson amusingly wrote that he hopes the journalist is “filled with guilt and self-loathing for sending me a text like this.”

“Would I like to participate in your attempt to censor me?” Carlson queried.

“No thanks. But I do hope you’ll quote what I wrote above and also note that I told you to f*** off, which I am doing now. Thanks.”

But Carlson was far from alone in receiving messages from the corporate media.

The Babylon Bee’s Seth Dillon also received messages from Grant, who appears to be tone-deaf to the Bee’s satire.

“Do you have documentation to support your claim that Satan is in direct communication with Democrats?” the journalist asked, seemingly failing to understand the satirical nature of the publication.

Conservative pundit Ben Shapiro also received the veiled threat, suggesting that the corporate media’s “October surprise” is here.

In a follow-up X thread, Shapiro pointed out the Times’ nefarious intentions.

“It’s perfectly obvious,” he wrote. “[U]sing research from Media Matters, a radical Left-wing organization whose sole purpose is destroying conservative media… in order to pressure YouTube to demonetize and penalize any and all conservatives ONE WEEK FROM THE ELECTION.”

This would have the potential effect of discrediting “pretty much every major conservative a purveyor of ‘misinformation’ on YouTube, thus strong-arming YouTube into taking action against conservatives.”

Conservative commentator Benny Johnson was also hit with the same set of questions.

In the wake of the story, Times journalist Nico Grant locked his X account.
