Fmr. Planned Parenthood President Dies on Trump’s Inauguration Day

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Former Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, who oversaw nearly four million abortions while leading the organization between 2006 and 2018, died on President Donald Trump’s inauguration day at the age of 67 after battling brain cancer.

Breitbart reported that Richards was also accused of illegally harvesting and selling body parts from aborted babies. Planned Parenthood denied the allegations.

The family members confirmed to NPR that Richards died on Monday, adding that she passed away at home “surrounded by family and her ever-loyal dog, Ollie.”

“Our hearts are broken today, but no words can do justice to the joy she brought to our lives,” the family said.

Some conservatives on Twitter pointed out that it is “crazy” that Richards died “right as everyone was getting seated for Trump’s Inauguration ceremony.”

Even though they completely disagreed with her on the topic of abortion, some pro-lifers prayed to God, asking Him to be merciful and just toward Richards.

“May the Lord, in His perfect justice and infinite mercy, rest her soul. And may He have mercy on all of us and our nation,” the founder of Live Action, Lila Rose, wrote.

Others also stated that they hoped Richards was able to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior before dying and, therefore, go to Heaven.

“I hope she saw her need for Christ in the last days of her life because hell is eternal. Everyone needs Christ. You’re lost without Him,” @travisrusko wrote.

Other conservatives, however, acted differently. Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire, for example, stated that the “tragic thing about [one of the worst mass murderers in history’s] death is that it did not happen inside a prison.”

Others went even further than that.

“Clump of cells, known as Cecile Richards, the former president of Planned Parenthood, died today. May her body be mutilated and tossed in a dumpster,” host of Conspiracy-Pilled Abby Libby wrote.

Before she died, Joe Biden awarded Richards the Presidential Medal of Freedom in a private ceremony.

“Today, I had the honor of awarding Cecile Richards the Presidential Medal of Freedom,” he wrote. “With absolute courage, she fearlessly leads us forward to be the America we say we are – a nation of freedom. Through her work to lift up the dignity of workers, defend and advance women’s reproductive rights and equality and mobilize Americans to exercise their power to vote, she has carved an inspiring legacy.”

Report: Trump Strips John Bolton of Secret Service Protection

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Along with stripping his security clearance, President Donald Trump has removed Secret Service protection from his former national security adviser, John Bolton, according to CBS News.

Citing anonymous sources, CBS reported Tuesday that the decision was made in the past 24 hours. Bolton reportedly said he was “disappointed but not surprised” by the decision.

Bolton was granted Secret Service protection in December 2021. In August 2022, the Justice Department announced that the FBI had foiled an Iranian plot to assassinate Bolton in retaliation for the U.S. killing Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps–Qods Force commander Qasem Soleimani.

However, the “hitman” hired to target Bolton was an FBI informant. DOJ charging papers show that the “plot” against Bolton was largely contrived, and that he was never in actual danger. Moreover, the DOJ has claimed the man who tried hiring the FBI informant was a member of Iran’s IRGC-QF, but charging papers show that investigators never confirmed that fact.

To top it off, it turns out that a key FBI official overseeing this contrived Bolton-assassination plot was Steven D’Antuono—the same official who led the Detroit field office during the dubious Gretchen Whitmer kidnap plot before being transferred to head the DC field office during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill protest-turned-riot.

According to DOJ charging papers, the man who attempted to assassinate Bolton is Iranian national Shahram Poursafi, who was charged but has not been arrested, presumably because he’s in Iran.

FBI special agent Randi Beck said in an affidavit that he believes Poursafi is a member of the IRGC-QF because he “did not deny” the affiliation, and because he found one picture of Poursafi wearing a jacket with an IRGC-QF patch. The FBI provided no other evidence that Poursafi is actually an IRGC-QF member.

Beck’s affidavit said Poursafi first contacted a person online—identified only as “Individual A”—in November 2021, asking him to take photos of Bolton for a “book” the Iranian was writing. Individual A then contacted the FBI informant, who began a months-long dialogue with Poursafi.

“The [informant] asked POURSAFI to be direct about his request so there was no misunderstanding as to what POURSAFI had requested. POURSAFI responded that he wanted ‘the guy’ purged or eliminated. POURSAFI then clarified that [Bolton] was the target,” Beck’s affidavit said.

In December 2021, the FBI informant took photos of Bolton—with Bolton’s full knowledge and consent—and sent them to Poursafi, Beck said in his affidavit.

Poursafi and the FBI informant would discuss payment over the next several months. Poursafi initially indicated that he could pay the informant before the job was completed, but then later backtracked and wanted Bolton killed first.

By April 2022, Poursafi was apparently fed up with the FBI informant.

“POURSAFI informed the CHS that if the CHS did not complete the second assassination, his group had others prepared to finish the operation,” Beck’s affidavit said.

The FBI informant responded by asking for a $100 payment—just to prove that the Iranian could send him money.

Records indicate that Poursafi made the $100 payment, and then the FBI wrapped up its investigation.

Several months later, D’Antuono trumpeted the successful takedown of the Bolton assassination plot.

“An attempted assassination of a former U.S. Government official on U.S. soil is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” said D’Antuono, who has since retired.

White Students Avoiding College at Higher Rate than Other Racial Demographics

(Tate Miller, The Center Square) The college enrollment of white students has been dropping by a larger percentage than any other race bracket, while anti-white college courses abound.

A Chronicle of Higher Education story stated that “over the last decade, undergraduate enrollment of white students has dropped more than that of any other racial group.”

According to statistics gathered by the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, from 2019 to 2023, white students experienced the most severe drop—around 20%—in enrollment in all sectors, meaning public four-year schools, private four-year schools, and others.

The decrease of enrollment for all races collectively from 2019 to 2023 is about 7%, according to the statistics.

Black enrollment decline is about 11% from 2019 to 2023, while Hispanic enrollment has increased by nearly 2%.

The National Student Clearinghouse Research Center exists to publish “data on postsecondary metrics,” and to influence policy, according to its website.

White enrollment had been declining before the pandemic, but “we didn’t really notice it until the last couple of years,” said Doug Shapiro, executive director of the Clearinghouse.

“When the pandemic started in 2020, we were focused on race and ethnicity and the large declines in black and Hispanic enrollments,” he continued. “Over the next couple of years, we started noticing, with some surprise, that the declines among white students were equally large as black declines.”

The years 2021 and 2022, at the height of the COVID pandemic—and on the heels of a nationwide cancel-culture movement promoting values like critical race theory that largely incubated on college campuses—were when the Clearinghouse first saw the trend take shape among white students.

That was “when the declines in white numbers really took off,” Shapiro said.

In recent years, higher education has become a hostile place towards white people, especially white men.

For instance, an assignment at Indiana University recently told students that being white or male is oppressive and forced them to admit to one oppressive or “dominant” identity they possess and one “subordinate” identity they possess—like being black or atheist.

Similarly, Northwestern University is offering a course called “Unsettling Whiteness,” which examines whiteness in four ways: “as the racialization of white populations; as the formation of white supremacy; as the cultural institution of the White Gaze; and as the regime of White Democracy.”

A 2023 survey by the Chronicle of Higher Education showed that while 56% of minority respondents said they believed college does an “excellent” or “very good job” educating, “only 31 percent of white respondents believed that.”

A factor the Chronicle named for the decline in enrollment was the opportunity for well-paying jobs that don’t require college degrees.

The Center Square previously reported on Gen Z’s interest in skilled trades rising, because one can “earn money and work right away” in the trades.

‘That Ain’t Good’: Cruz Blasts China for American Kids ‘Chewing Tide Pods’ on TikTok

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, blasted China for its ownership of TikTok on Monday’s episode of his podcast, saying American children are “chewing on Tide Pods” as Chinese kids are learning advanced math.

Ahead of President Donald Trump’s executive order extending Chinese company ByteDance’s deadline to make a deal with the U.S. on TikTok, Cruz warned of the national security risks of the popular social media app.

However, he made clear it would be “very good” if Trump could resolve TikTok’s ownership issue.

“The Chinese Communist government uses TikTok and uses it in a way that I think poses a very real national security risk to the United States,” the senator said on Verdict with Ted Cruz.

He accused the Chinese government of using TikTok to “engage in espionage” and “to push propaganda.”

“You know, the Chinese kids are getting calculus, and our kids are getting chewing Tide Pods. That ain’t good,” Cruz said, referencing the viral meme “Tide Pod Challenge” that took social media by storm in early 2018.

Trump’s executive order titled “Application of Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act to TikTok” acknowledges national security concerns surrounding TikTok while appreciating the popular app’s importance to 170 million Americans.

The president gave TikTok 75 days to make a deal with the U.S. on TikTok’s ownership.

Hours before Trump took executive action, Cruz said, “If in the next 90 days, TikTok follows through and sells the company to a non-Chinese buyer, a non-Chinese government controlled buyer, ideally to an American company, that will be a very, very good thing.”

He noted the goal was to remove China from the platform.

“The objective of this law, it’s important to understand the objective of this law was never to ban TikTok,” he continued. “The objective of this law was to force the Chinese Communist government to end its ownership and control of TikTok.”

Cruz praised the “greater level of experience” of the second Trump administration.

“I think there’s just a much greater level of experience and also awareness of the deep state, awareness of the career bureaucrats who fight against a common sense, free market, freedom-oriented agenda,” the senator said.

New DOJ Drops Charges against Self-Described ‘Fed’ Who Fired Gun in Jan. 6 Crowd

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The new U.S. Attorney for DC, Edward Martin, has dropped the remaining outstanding cases against Jan. 6 defendants—including a possible federal provocateur, John Emanuel Banuelos, who fired two shots into the air during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill uprising.

Banuelos was identified immediately after Jan. 6, 2021—featured on a Vice documentary flashing a handgun. The FBI had Banuelos on its radar by Feb. 4, 2021, according to charging documents.

However, Banuelos wasn’t arrested until last March, a month after J6er Derrick Evans released footage of him firing the gun. At the time, Evans said it’s highly suspicious that the FBI didn’t arrest Banuelos until after his footage was made public.

“Government had video of him shooting a gun on J6 for over three years, but they didn’t arrest him until I broke the story and it got national coverage. Most likely another Ray Epps situation,” Evans said last March—the same month that Banuelos identified himself as “fed” on his Twitter account.

After the Jan. 6 protest, Banuelos was again in the spotlight about a year later in February 2022, when news broke that he had been arrested in relation to a fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old in a Utah park in July 2021.

When he was arrested, he reportedly told police about his activities on Jan. 6.

“Man, should I just tell the FBI to come get me or what?” Banuelos, 39, asked detectives, according to a transcript of the interview obtained by KSL.com through a public records request.

“Do you have a warrant?” one detective asked.

“Probably,” he said. “I was in the D.C. riots.”

“On Jan. 6?” the other detective asked. “Did you go inside the Capitol?”

“Yeah, I went inside and I’m the one with the video with the gun right here,” Banuelos said.

Sedition Hunters, the group that helped the Biden administration’s FBI hunt down Jan. 6 prosecutors, has a file on Banuelos. One of the most interesting videos of him is from what appears to be the night before the rally, when he reveals his history of mental-health problems.

“Now I’ve got a purpose … Democrats just give you free stuff and they don’t tell you you’re crazy. How many hospitals have I been to? How many mental hospitals? Because I thought I had a problem … Now I’ve got to reprogram my brain and be humble … I’m willing to play my role. Are you willing to play yours?” he said in the video.

Trump Executive Order Aims to Make Buildings Beautiful Again

(Matt Lamb, Headline USA) President Donald Trump wants to make federal buildings beautiful again.

Amidst a flurry of executive orders on DEI, gender, and energy, Trump also signed an executive order Monday requiring new federal buildings to be “beautiful.”

“Promoting Beautiful Federal Civic Architecture” required the General Services Administration to create a “policy that Federal public buildings should be visually identifiable as civic buildings and respect regional, traditional, and classical architectural heritage.”

The policy aimed to “uplift and beautify public spaces and ennoble the United States and our system of self-government.”

It is similar to a 2020 executive order Trump signed in his first term under the same name. That directive criticized “modernist” and “unappealing” designs. President Joe Biden repealed that directive, however.

Conservatives praised the newest executive order in statements on X.

“Thanks to President Trump Americans can once again be proud and inspired by our federal buildings,” Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-TN, wrote.

“Great to have this back. Thank you,” Rep. Chip Roy, R-TX, wrote on X.

“The purpose of brutalism is to intimidate the public about government power through massively ugly buildings,” Steve Milloy suggested in a post on X.

President Trump also signed executive orders cracking down on government censorship, promoting energy independence, and recognizing that sex is immutable.

He signed a total of 41 executive orders yesterday and more are expected in the coming days.

The ugly nature of many federal buildings has been acknowledged by media outlets across the political spectrum, including Buzzfeed, the Washington Post, and Reason.

The National Building Museum in D.C. is even hosting an exhibit through mid-February called “Capital Brutalism,” exploring ugly buildings.

Biden Spending Forces Treasury to Take ‘Extraordinary Measures’ as Debt Ceiling Approaches

(Brett Rowland, The Center Square) The day after President Donald Trump took office, the U.S. Treasury said it would need to employ “extraordinary measures” to avoid hitting the debt limit.

In a letter, outgoing Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said extraordinary measures would begin Jan. 21.

Because of that limit, Yellen said she could not fully invest the portion of the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund immediately required to pay beneficiaries, and that a “debt issuance suspension period” would begin Tuesday and last through March 14.

“My predecessors have declared debt issuance suspension periods under similar circumstances,” she wrote. “With these determinations, the Treasury Department will suspend additional investments of amounts credited to, and redeem a portion of the investments held by, the CSRDF, as expressly authorized by law.”

Treasury will also suspend investments in the Postal Service Retiree Health Benefits Fund.

By law, both funds will be made whole once the debt limit is increased or suspended, Yellen said.

The Treasury actions won’t affect federal retirees and employees.

“The period of time that extraordinary measures may last is subject to considerable uncertainty, including the challenges of forecasting the payments and receipts of the U.S. Government months into the future,” Yellen wrote.

“The debt limit does not authorize new spending, but it creates a risk that the federal government might not be able to finance its existing legal obligations that Congresses and Presidents of both parties have made in the past,” she added.

She asked Congress to act.

“I respectfully urge Congress to act promptly to protect the full faith and credit of the United States,” she wrote.

The debt limit is the total amount of money the U.S. government is authorized to borrow to meet existing legal obligations, including Social Security and Medicare benefits, military salaries, interest on the national debt, tax refunds and other payments.

Since 1960, Congress has acted 78 separate times to permanently raise, temporarily extend, or revise the definition of the debt limit. Fourty-nine of those times were under Republican presidents and 29 times under Democratic presidents, according to the Treasury Department.

Marco Rubio Unanimously Confirmed as Secretary of State

(, The Center Square) Days after a smooth confirmation hearing, the U.S. Senate on Monday unanimously approved Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., for America’s next secretary of State.

All 99 of Rubio’s Senate colleagues voted for him. Following precedent, he declined to vote for himself.

Representing Florida since 2010, Rubio has served on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Intelligence Committee. The son of Cuban immigrants, Rubio is known for his expertise on countries and conflicts in South America and the Middle East, as well as his hawkish stance on China.

During his Wednesday hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Rubio committed to ensuring the State Department prioritizes “the alignment of our foreign policy to our national interests” and is “a source of creative ideas and effective implementation.”

Foreign policy decisions going forward must always place America’s interests first, Rubio said, because without national security and prosperity, the U.S. will be unable to support its allies and peace abroad.

He also highlighted the importance of prudence and compromise, particularly relating to America’s tense relations with China and President Donald Trump’s strategies to end the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.

Like many of Trump’s cabinet picks, Rubio pledged to secure the southern border and crack down on cartel activity in the U.S., hinting that placing direct or indirect pressure on Mexico to do its part may be required.

With Rubio required to step down from his congressional position to assume his federal role, Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., has announced that Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody will take the new State secretary’s place in the Senate.

MURDOCK: Hegseth’s Foes Hot and Bothered over Pro-Christian Pectoral Tattoo

(Deroy Murdock, Headline USA) As the debate rages over Pete Hegseth’s nomination to become President re-elect Donald J. Trump’s secretary of Defense, the former soldier and broadcaster’s critics still claim that he is a closet white nationalist.

Hegseth’s foes get jumpy over a tattoo on his chest. The Jerusalem Cross that Hegseth’s jackets and ties cover is, indeed, a Christian symbol—just like every cross. This large cross surrounded by four smaller ones might be five times “too much” Christianity for some people. 

Hegseth’s “detractors have said the Jerusalem Cross is an indicator of extremism, White supremacist, and Christian nationalist sentiment,” wrote FoxNews.com’s Peter Pinedo. “Some have even mistaken it for the Nazi swastika.”

Like every other rock that the Hegseth haters hurl at him, this one bounces right off.

As Hegseth explains in his manifesto for Pentagon reform, The War on Warriors, the Jerusalem Cross forced him out of uniform. 

“As a member of the DC National Guard, our unit was tasked with supporting … the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden” in January 2021, Hegseth wrote.

But things suddenly changed. 

“Just one day prior to reporting for duty—out of the blue—I received a call from my unit leadership that I was to ‘stand down’ and that I was ‘not needed,’” Hegseth elaborated.

Feeling betrayed, he soon became disenchanted with the Army. After 14 years of service, March 31, 2021, was his final day in camouflage. 

While researching his book, Hegseth probed the genesis of his “stand down” orders. He pressed a unit leader for answers.

“You were not brought to the inauguration because … they dubbed you as a white nationalist and an extremist,” the senior officer revealed. Two soldiers found a shirtless photo among Hegseth’s social media. “And the tattoo was what they flagged you on.” 

“It’s a Jerusalem Cross!” Hegseth recoiled. “Did they even google it?!”

The fantasies of Hegseth’s enemies notwithstanding, this emblem is not the brainchild of Dr. Joseph Goebbels.  

“This was part of the coat of arms after AD 1203 and the 104-year reign of the Jerusalem Kingdom. I got it after I saw it on a church while walking the streets of Jerusalem,” Hegseth’s book details.

“The laughable ignorance of so many on the subject of the Jerusalem Cross reminds one of how impoverished education is these days,” Manhattan-based Father George Rutler told me.

“A professor friend of mine was astonished when a freshman at Harvard College asked him if the term ‘World War II’ means that there was a First World War,” the retired Catholic priest and member of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre added.

“Many Christians who visit Jerusalem get the cross tattooed on their bodies during their pilgrimage, including world leaders,” the Washington Examiner’s Timothy Nerozzi recalled. “Multiple male members of the British royal family have received Jerusalem cross tattoos while visiting the Holy Land, beginning with the future King Edward VII in 1862.”

Anyone itching to see a Jerusalem Cross need not talk the raiment off of a duke at Windsor Castle. Among many places, it is built into a mosaic at Washington, D.C.’s Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America. It’s also on their website.

The late President Jimmy Carter’s casket at Washington’s National Cathedral sat atop a wood-inlaid floor bearing none other than the Jerusalem Cross.

Far more conspicuous was the program for the 100-year-old chief executive’s January 9 memorial service. Right on the cover, in black and white, was—you guessed it—the Jerusalem Cross.

So, either Pete Hegseth follows Jimmy Carter’s example of devoted white supremacy, or this entire bogus controversy is not even skin deep.

Even a committed heathen like me, who cannot stand tattoos, can see just how fake this nonsense is.

The United States Senate should get on with it and send the overly inked, but otherwise visionary and highly qualified, Pete Hegseth to the Pentagon, so he can terminate the former Biden administration’s War on Warriors.
