Trump Solicits Challenger for Pro-DeSantis ‘RINO’ Chip Roy

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump published a job posting for a primary candidate who could challenge current Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas.

In the post, Trump called Roy a “RINO,” and “very beatable,” according to The Messenger.

“Has any smart and energetic Republican in the Great State of Texas decided to run in the Primary against RINO Congressman Chip Roy,” Trump asked in the post. “For the right person, he is very beatable. If interested, let me know!!!”

The post came seven days after the Texas primary filing deadline of Dec. 11.

Roy will face one Republican challenger for Texas’s 12th district, which includes the city of Austin: Kirstin Hook, a biological scientist based in San Antonio.

Roy and Trump previously butted heads on Roy’s bid for chair of the House Republican Conference. Trump endorsed Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., who now holds the seat.

Roy also encouraged the certification of Joe Biden’s presidency in the contentious days following the 2020 election.

He also claimed that the government lacked the tools, data and information to fight election fraud, ignoring the many fruitful investigations that took place across the nation since the start of Biden’s presidency.

Throughout the tense months following the 2020 election, Roy pressed Trump and his staff to “tone down the rhetoric” and avoid “whipping his base into a conspiracy frenzy.”

Despite the history of controversy, Roy did question the timing of Trump’s arrest in August along with several other Republicans.

“President Trump is right to fight this political prosecution—the rule of law depends on it,” Roy tweeted.

However, since then, Roy has come down hard on MAGA supporters in an appearance on Steave Deace’s podcast.

“You want to come at me and call me a RINO? You can kiss my a**!” he said during the interview.

Roy enthusiastically endorsed candidate and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for the 2024 presidential race.

Capitol Police Nabs 60 Rioters in Anti-Israel Protest Led by Linda Sarsour

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The U.S. Capitol Police detained at least 60 individuals following an illegal protest orchestrated by Palestinian-American activist Linda Sarsour inside the Capitol Rotunda on Tuesday, according to the New York Post.

The rioters protested the U.S. support for Israel as it defends itself against a Hamas terrorist attack that left 1,400 individuals dead.

“Not another nickel! Not another dime! No more money for Israel’s crimes!” the group of protestors shouted while other individuals held signs that read, “Stop Arming Israel,” the NY Post reported.

Capitol Police became aware of the protest when the group requested a tour of the Capitol Building, police said in a statement.

“It is against the law to demonstrate inside the Congressional Buildings, so we brought in additional officers to be prepared for the moment the group would break the law,” USCP told the NY Post.

“The group was screened when they entered the building. Once they broke the law, roughly 60 people were immediately arrested for [violating] D.C. Code § 22–1307 — Crowding, Obstructing, or Incommoding,” USCP added.

It is unlikely that the protestors will face criminal prosecution, the NY Post said, citing the U.S. District Attorney’s inconsistency in prosecuting these alleged crimes.

Footage of protest swiftly circulated on Twitter, with notable Republicans calling it an “insurrection,” drawing comparisons to rhetoric often used by Democrats about the Jan. 6 protestors.

“Insurrection happening now in the Capital!! Is that Linda Sarsour leading the Pro-Hamas Anti-Israel insurrectionists?” questioned Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. “Very serious ties to terrorists & Progressive Democrats if it’s her. Arrest them all and throw them in the DC gulag in solitary confinement just like J6’ers!”

Echoing Greene, podcast host Monica Crowley remarked, “Raging anti-Semite Linda Sarsour was arrested for leading this actual insurrection at the Capitol today. Looking forward to her pretrial detention, conviction and lengthy prison sentence.”

Hogan Gidley, also known as DC Draino, added, “Will the DOJ lock them all up and throw them in the DC Gulag like J6ers? Or do we not have equal justice in this country?

Sarsour, a vocal critic of the Israeli government, previously faced criticism previously for mocking posters depicting Hamas hostages.

The protest came following the passage of $14.3 billion in aid for Israel by the Republican-led House of Representatives. Senate Democrats and President Joe Biden oppose such bill because it does not include aid for Ukraine, which is currently fighting Russia.

The Tuesday protest would not mark the first time that anti-Israel activists have flooded the U.S. Capitol to voice their opposition to the U.S.’s support for the Jewish state. A previous protest on Oct. 18 saw participation from at least 350 individuals within the Capitol premises.

Wash. State Dems Seek to Jail Gas-Powered Lawnmower Users

(Headline USA) Washington state Democrats introduced a proposal this week that would outlaw new gas-powered lawn equipment, such as lawn mowers, and punish violators with potential jail time.

A bill pre-filed by state Rep. Amy Walen would amend the state’s Clean Air Act to ban new “gasoline-powered and diesel-powered landscaping and other outdoor power equipment.”

The bill claims such equipment contributes to climate change and causes a range of health problems, including asthma and hearing loss, according to KTTH’s Jason Rantz.

“Nationally, the Department of Transportation data shows that one hour of running a gas lawnmower can contribute as much smog-forming pollution as driving a passenger car 300 miles,” the bill claims. “One hour of running a gas leaf blower can contribute as much smog-forming pollution as driving a passenger car 1,100 miles.”

Under the bill, the Washington state Department of Ecology would be required to “adopt rules to prohibit engine exhaust and evaporative emissions from new outdoor power equipment” by Jan. 1, 2026.

The only exceptions to this ban would be for gas-powered equipment used by government agencies and for commercial and residential use when there is no “suitable zero-emissions outdoor power equipment technology.”

If passed, the new rule would impact lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, augers, wood chippers, pressure washers, snowblowers and many other tools. Some have electric alternatives, but those can be nearly three times the price of gas-powered tools, Rantz noted.

Those found in violation of the law could be found guilty of a gross misdemeanor under Washington state penal code and be slapped with fines up to $10,000 and imprisonment of up to 364 days per violation.

Similar measures to ban gas-powered lawn equipment have been passed in other Democratic states, such as California.

In 2021, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into a law a ban on the sale of new gas-powered leaf blowers and lawn mowers, which is set to go into effect in 2024.

Anti-Border Wall Texas Democrat Admits ‘Tougher’ Immigration Policies Are Necessary

(Headline USA) Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, admitted this week that “tougher measures at the border” are necessary as immigration officers struggle to process the tens of thousands of migrants crossing the southern border every week.

Cuellar was responding to an announcement that U.S. Customs and Border Protection was forced to temporarily suspend railway operations in Eagle Pass and El Paso, Texas to crack down on a “recent resurgence of smuggling organizations moving through Mexico via freight trains.”

Cuellar tweeted, “The crisis at our border is seriously affecting legitimate trade.”

In a separate interview with CNN, Cuellar was asked whether he supports efforts by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican to enforce the border and crack down on illegal immigration. Abbott this week signed a law that authorized police officers in the state to arrest illegals.

Cuellar said that, like Abbott, he was “frustrated by the lack of activity, the more work that can be done” by the Biden administration.

It comes as Biden, already experiencing an unparalleled immigration crisis, experiences new record-breaking surges.

Cuellar also said he would be willing to look at border restrictions being proposed by congressional Republicans as part of the next aid package to Ukraine and Israel.

“I do support stricter policies, but at the same time not to the extreme that you don’t allow the rights of the immigrants to claim asylum,” he told CNN. “But do I believe in stricter? Yes.”

Though Cuellar has recently been more critical of the Biden administration’s immigration policies, he was also vocally opposed to efforts by the Trump administration to secure the southern border.

In fact, in 2021 he celebrated the Biden administration’s decision to reallocate all congressional-approved funds for construction of the southern border wall.

“I have worked hard to ensure the previous administration’s diverted military funding is returned, border wall construction is terminated, and local border communities receive those resources for legitimate priorities,” Cuellar said at the time.

“I want to thank the Biden Administration for its commitment to prioritizing, and giving back, limited resources that Congress had appropriated to specific causes and programs that create real impact on the border,” he added.

Sen. Cardin Breaks Silence Over Relationship w/ Gay Porn Staffer

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md., broke his silence after firing one of his legislative aides reportedly seen in a viral amateur gay porn filmed in a Senate conference room.

“I was angry. I was disappointed,” Cardin told reporters outside the Capitol on Monday. “It’s a breach of trust.”

Cardin’s comments followed the leak of a disturbing video depicting two men having anal sex within a Senate Judiciary Committee room. One of the individuals was reportedly identified as Cardin’s since-fired legislative aide, Aidan Maese-Czeropski.

Cardin did not to disclose the staffer’s name allegedly seen in porn video, first made public by the Daily Caller. He did, however, mention that the U.S. Capitol Police is investigating the incident. In a weekend statement, Cardin announced the termination of Czeropski.

The Maryland Democrat refrained from providing details about a potential internal investigation into his office’s hiring practices. “These are personnel issues that I won’t talk about publicly,” Cardin claimed.

A reporter persisted, asking, “Did your office book the room?” Cardin replied that he was unaware of how his former legislative aide gained access to the room where the video was reportedly recorded.

“My knowledge of this was over the weekend,” Cardin said. “When I learned about it, I made sure he was separated, so he left the Senate employment.”

A CNN reporter inquired if the staffer had exhibited “any unusual behavior while he was working in the office,” to which Cardin replied, “These are personnel issues.”

When asked if he knew the staffer well, Cardin said, “I know all my staff people.” Another reporter chimed in asking, “Were you particularly close to this staffer?” But Cardin declined to answer: “I can’t tell you. I’m not going to get into my relationship with staff people?”

According to Fox News, the U.S. Capitol Police is investigating the incident and said that the men in the video could potentially face prosecution. Cardin declined to say whether he thinks any charges would be filed against his former staffer.

The porn scandal began after the Daily Caller reported the discovery of a video allegedly found in a Washington, D.C. gay men’s group chat, depicting a nude man being anally penetrated by another.

Colorado’s Corrupt, Leftist Court Colludes w/ Activists to Block Trump from Ballot

(Headline USA) In one of the greatest travesties of American jurisprudence in modern memory, a far-left Colorado Supreme Court split from other states in ruling that the Republican Party had no right to determine its own candidate for president, and that activist judges instead had the power to do so by semantically redefining the meaning of “insurrection” to fit their own political objectives.

A divided Colorado Supreme Court on Tuesday declared former President Donald Trump ineligible for the White House under the U.S. Constitution’s insurrection clause and removed him from the state’s presidential primary ballot, setting up an inevitable showdown in the nation’s highest court.

Trump has never been found guilt of insurrection, nor is he currently charged with it. His post-presidential impeachment, also led by partisan Democrats in the U.S. House, ultimately led to his acquittal in the U.S. Senate.

The decision from a court whose justices were all appointed by Democratic governors marks the first time in history that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment has been used to disqualify a presidential candidate.

It is but the latest in a stunning series of unprecedented lawfare attacks by the radical Left designed at subverting the system of justice into a political weapon to use against Trump and his million of supporters.

Despite the heavy weight and implications of their lopsided decision, the 4–3 verdict ultimately came down to the vote of a single judge.

“A majority of the court holds that Trump is disqualified from holding the office of president under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment,” the court wrote.

It overturned a ruling from a district court judge who found that Trump incited an insurrection for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, but said he could not be barred from the ballot because it was unclear that the provision was intended to cover the presidency.

The court stayed its decision until Jan. 4, or until the U.S. Supreme Court rules on the case.

“We do not reach these conclusions lightly,” wrote the corrupt bench.

“We are mindful of the magnitude and weight of the questions now before us,” they claimed, despite their callous indifference to the underlying legal principles. “We are likewise mindful of our solemn duty to apply the law, without fear or favor, and without being swayed by public reaction to the decisions that the law mandates we reach.”

Trump’s attorneys had promised to appeal any disqualification immediately to the nation’s highest court, which has the final say about constitutional matters.

“The Colorado Supreme Court issued a completely flawed decision tonight and we will swiftly file an appeal to the United States Supreme Court and a concurrent request for a stay of this deeply undemocratic decision,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said in a statement Tuesday night.

Trump lost Colorado by 13 percentage points in 2020 and doesn’t need the state to win next year’s presidential election. But the danger for the former president is that more courts and election officials will follow Colorado’s lead and exclude Trump from must-win states.

Colorado officials say the issue must be settled by Jan. 5, the deadline for the state to print its presidential primary ballots.

Dozens of lawsuits have been filed nationally to disqualify Trump under Section 3, which was designed to keep former Confederates from returning to government after the Civil War.

It bars from office anyone who swore an oath to “support” the Constitution and then “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” against it, and has been used only a handful of times since the decade after the Civil War.

The Colorado case is the first where the plaintiffs succeeded. After a weeklong hearing in November, District Judge Sarah B. Wallace found that Trump indeed had “engaged in insurrection” but her ruling that kept him on the ballot was a fairly technical one.

Wallace had been under scrutiny herself for a series of donations she made to radical leftist politicians and activist groups, including one that she made after being appointed a judge but before assuming the bench.

The so-called insurrection provision explicitly says offices covered include senator, representative, electors of the president and vice president, and all others “under the United States,” but doesn’t name the presidency.

Trump’s attorneys argued that because the language in Section 3 refers to “officers of the United States” who take an oath to “support” the Constitution, it must not apply to the president, who is not included as an “officer of the United States” elsewhere in the document and whose oath is to “preserve, protect and defend” the Constitution.

Trump has contended elsewhere that he was doing just that on Jan. 6 and in the leadup to it, as rampant evidence of vote fraud—both through illegal mail-in ballots and the possible off-site manipulation of voting machines—suggested that there was systemic manipulation in several key swing states.

Thousands of protesters convened at the U.S. Capitol to assert their First Amendment rights to assembly and to petition the government for a redress of grievances as the Joint Session of Congress was meeting to certify the disputed Electoral College vote for Democrat Joe Biden.

The state’s highest court didn’t agree, siding with anti-Trump activists who argued that it was nonsensical to imagine the framers of the amendment, fearful of former Confederates returning to power, would bar them from low-level offices but not the highest one in the land.

“You’d be saying a rebel who took up arms against the government couldn’t be a county sheriff, but could be the president,” attorney Jason Murray said in arguments before the court in early December.

Trump never took up arms against the government, and the Jan. 6 dissidents who entered the U.S. Capitol were largely unarmed. The only casualties to die as the result of violence were unarmed Trump supporters who were victims of excessive police force—most notably, Ashli Babbitt.

Trump’s attorneys argued unsuccessfully that the writers of the amendment expected the Electoral College to prevent former insurrectionists from becoming president.

Trump attorney Scott Gessler also argued the attack was more of a “riot” than an insurrection.

That met skepticism from several of the justices.

“Why isn’t it enough that a violent mob breached the Capitol when Congress was performing a core constitutional function?” Justice William W. Hood III, an appointee of ethically challenged former Gov. John Hickenlooper, said during the Dec. 6 arguments. “In some ways, that seems like a poster child for insurrection.”

In the ruling issued Tuesday, the court’s majority dismissed the arguments that Trump wasn’t responsible for his supporters’ actions: “President Trump then gave a speech in which he literally exhorted his supporters to fight at the Capitol,” they wrote.

Colorado Supreme Court Justices Richard L. Gabriel (Hickenlooper), Melissa Hart (Hickenlooper), William W. Hood III and Monica Márquez (Ritter) ruled with the activists.

Chief Justice Brian D. Boatright (Hickenlooper) dissented, arguing the constitutional questions were too complex to be solved in a state hearing. Justices Maria E. Berkenkotter (Polis) and Carlos Samour (Hickenlooper) also dissented.

“Our government cannot deprive someone of the right to hold public office without due process of law,” Samour wrote in his dissent.

“Even if we are convinced that a candidate committed horrible acts in the past—dare I say, engaged in insurrection—there must be procedural due process before we can declare that individual disqualified from holding public office.”

The Colorado ruling stands in contrast with the Minnesota Supreme Court, which last month decided that the state party can put anyone it wants on its primary ballot. It dismissed a Section 3 lawsuit but said the plaintiffs could try again during the general election.

In another 14th Amendment case, a Michigan judge ruled that Congress, not the judiciary, should decide whether Trump can stay on the ballot. That ruling is being appealed.

The leftist group behind those cases, Free Speech For People, also filed another lawsuit in Oregon seeking to bounce Trump from the ballot there. The Colorado case was filed by another far-left group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

Both groups are financed by leftist donors who also support President Joe Biden. Trump has blamed the president for the lawsuits against him, saying his rival is “defacing the constitution” to try to end his campaign.

Chicago Mayor Claims Abbott’s Busing of Immigrants Is an ‘Attack’ on U.S.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson rebuked the influx of Texas buses carrying illegal immigrants, calling it an “attack” on the U.S.

Addressing the death of a sick 5-year-old child in a Chicago immigrant shelter, Johnson criticized Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott for bussing illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities, including Chicago.

“The governor of Texas needs to take a look in the mirror of the chaos that he is causing for this country,” Johnson said on Monday. “This is not just a Chicago dynamic—he is attacking our country.” Johnson also accused Abbott of undermining the “sanity and civility” of the country.

Johnson’s comments come amid an unprecedented increase in illegal border crossing. Border states, including Texas, have been significantly impacted, leading Abbott to prepare transportation for these individuals to locations historically welcoming to immigrants.

However, Chicago said it doesn’t have the means to care for all immigrants.

“I want you to hear me good: They’re showing up sick. Do you hear me? They’re showing up sick,” Johnson said of bused illegal aliens. The mayor warned that Chicago, already struggling with homelessness and a lack of medical facilities, is not prepared to handle the immigration burden.

“The issue is not just how we respond in the city of Chicago,” Johnson added. “It’s the fact that we have a governor… that is placing families on buses without shoes, cold, wet, tired, hungry, afraid, traumatized—and then they come to the city of Chicago where we have homelessness, we have mental health clinics that have been shut down and closed.”

Chicago faced increased scrutiny following the death of Jean Carlos Martinez, a 5-year-old immigrant residing in temporary housing for illegal immigrants.

A pro-immigration group criticized the conditions within the Chicago-funded shelters. Annie Gomberg, a volunteer with Chicago’s Police Station Response Team, claimed that Johnson is obstructing access to the shelters to conceal their dire conditions.

“The shelters are completely locked down to outside access. They’re doing this allegedly in order to protect the residents inside,” she said, according to the Associated Press. “The people who live inside are coming to us and saying, ‘please give us blankets, give us clothing for our children, we need bottles, we need diapers.”

Johnson has called on the Biden administration to tackle rampant immigration on the southern border. Johnson himself pledged to visit the southern border to survey the crisis but instead ordered a small delegation.

Va. Gov. Youngkin Will Prohibit Minors from Using TikTok

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Gov. Glenn Youngkin, R–Va., announced on Dec. 14, 2023, that he intends to restrict those under the age of 18 from accessing TikTok.

The announcement was made by Gov. Youngkin on the first anniversary of his mental health initiative titled “Right Help, Right Now,” according to the Washington Examiner. That was the same initiative that created the 988 suicide and crisis hotline.

Even though Gov. Youngkin hadn’t issued any policies regarding mental health and social media despite the initiative being two years old, he demonstrated that he would do something about the problem. In its press release, Gov. Youngkin’s office estimated that children spend roughly five hours a day on social media.

“The impact of Chinese Communist Party-affiliated TikTok on our children’s mental health has been detrimental. That’s why we are introducing legislation to restrict access to TikTok for children under 18 in Virginia,” he wrote.

The news from Virginia came after the state of Montana attempted to ban TikTok all around the state. The federal court overturned the attempts of Montana politicians, which were the first of their kind when lawmakers voted for it earlier this year.

TikTok, a company that is owned by America-hating communists from China, previously fought the attempts to ban its app by hiding behind the U.S. Constitution, saying that banning the app is an infringement on the First Amendment.

Virginia also expressed the desire to protect the privacy of children on social media and prohibit all social media companies from using targeted ads on children, using addictive practices or offering virtual merchandise for sale, the Examiner wrote.

In addition to that, Gov. Youngkin promised another $500 million toward the initiative, most of which would go to waivers that allow eligible people with a developmental disability to receive medical, residential and behavioral services, with over 3,000 more waivers for those who are eligible being allowed.

House Oversight Witness: James Biden’s $600K Loan Linked to Family Name

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Joe Biden’s brother, James Biden, reportedly received a $600,000 loan from Americore with the promise of securing Middle Eastern funding for the now-bankrupt healthcare company, Fox News reported Monday.

Carol Fox, a Chapter 11 trustee for Americore, revealed to the House Oversight Committee that James Biden’s commitment to bring in future funding never materialized, giving insight into the ties between the company and Joe Biden’s scrutinized brother.

Fox told congressional investigators, who are leading an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden, that James Biden obtained the loan without any documented agreement in exchange for future financial support.

According to Fox News, a lawsuit filed by Fox accused James Biden of making “representations that his last name, ‘Biden,’ could ‘open doors’ and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections.”

The lawsuit sought the repayment of the $600,000 loan to Americore, but ultimately resulted in a settlement agreement of $350,000, according to the National Review.

This revealing testimony came amid allegations of Joe Biden and his siblings participating in an alleged illegal influence-peddling scheme.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., raised concerns regarding a $200,000 check received by Joe Biden from James Biden.

This check, dated March 1, 2018, coincided with the day James Biden acquired a $200,000 personal loan from Americore.

“Does Joe have docs proving he leant such a large amount to his brother, and what were the terms? And did he know that the same day James wrote him a check, James had just received a loan from Americore?” Comer asked in a video unveiling the discovery of the check.

Fox told investigators that she wasn’t aware of the $200,000 payment to Joe Biden but warned about the substantial amount. She also said she has not seen evidence showing the president was involved into any of James Biden’s businesses.

The Biden family largely disregarded the payment, with Paul Fishman, an attorney for James Biden, dismissing the revelations as misleading.

“The Oversight Committee’s description of the $200,000 check is highly selective and misleading,” Fishman contested. “The Committee has the bank documents that show both the loan Jim received from his brother in January 2018 and the repayment by check six weeks later. At no time did Jim involve his brother in any of his business relationships.”

U.S. Secret Service Boats Stopped Working When Obama Chef Was Drowning

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was revealed by Judicial Watch that the U.S. Secret Service boats mysteriously stopped working while Barack Obama’s chef Tafari Campbell was drowning earlier this year.

The 31 pages of records that were obtained by Judicial Watch identified the identity of Campbell’s companion as a woman named “Ms. Taylor,” who reported that “[Campbell] fell in the water and struggled for a couple of seconds before giving up and sinking underwater.”

The SS could not get the first two boats they tried to use to search for Campbell to function and had to use the groundskeeper’s boat, according to the records.

A July 24, 2023, report from an SS agent whose name was redacted was included in the records. The interview details — including the name — of Campbell’s paddle boarding companion were revealed in the report.

“Ms. Taylor stated that Mr. Campbell was not wearing a life jacket and had no personal flotation devices aboard the paddleboard at the time of the incident,” the report said.

Another report stated that Campbell’s companion “collapsed on the ground” and Campbell sank underwater after “struggling for a couple of seconds.”

“[A supervisory agent and another agent] attempted to start one of the boats but had difficulties lowering the motor… I sprinted to the CP [Command Post], grabbed the keys and sprinted back towards the boats. A similar issue occurred with the motor on the second boat. We jumped into a third boat belonging to the groundskeeper and it worked without issue,” the report said.

Obama came to the incident scene and the search was paused so he could speak to the eyewitness, the same report noted.

“We continued our search with flashlights. Shortly thereafter we were called to Wilson’s Landing as FPOTUS Obama was there and the local Fire Department in conjunction with the Massachusetts Police Department and other local agencies were setting up an Incident Command Post. He had wanted to talk with [redacted],” the report said.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton commented on the recent discovery.

“It is disturbing that Secret Service boats did not work for this emergency. This new information perhaps explains why the Secret Service is still hiding video related to the tragic drowning,” he said.
