‘Free from the White Gaze’: London Play Invites Black-Only Audience

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Leftists expressed their hatred of white people once again when they announced that a London play would host two performances where only black audience members, or those “identifying” as black, would be permitted to view the play, “free from the white gaze.”

“Slave Play” will run at the Noël Coward Theater in London’s West End from June 29, 2024, to September 21, 2024, and feature performances on July 17, 2024, and September 17, 2024, with “Black Out nights,” according to the Daily Wire.

“Blackout nights are the purposeful creation of an environment in which an all-black-identifying audience can experience and discuss an event in the performing arts, film, athletic and cultural spaces — free from the white gaze,” the theater said.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s office released a statement, in which it vaguely supported the hatred of white people.

“The prime minister is a big supporter of the arts and he believes that the arts should be inclusive and open to everyone, particularly where those arts venues are in receipt of public funding. Restricting audiences on the basis of race would be wrong and divisive,” according to the statement.

However, some of the members of Parliament questioned the hatred of the entire race of people by pointing out the hypocrisy.

“I understand the subject matter of the show may have particular resonance for some but would simply question the legality of this? In other circles, it would be illegal and racial discrimination. I don’t understand why this isn’t,” one person said.

The play’s producers tried to have a cake and eat it too by appeasing the far-left, white-people-hating crowd while also defending their blatant racism in front of normal people.

“The Broadway production conceived of Black Out nights and we are carefully considering how to incorporate this endeavor as part of two performances in our 13-week run. We will release further details soon. To be absolutely clear, no one will be prevented or precluded from attending any performance of Slave Play,” they said.

Secretary of State Caught Using AI to Flag Accurate Vote-Fraud Stories as ‘Misinformation’

(An artificial intelligence company working on behalf of Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs’s office to track election and voter “misinformation” flagged factually accurate stories on noncitizens voting that were published by the Center Square.

While the reports from the AI company claimed the stories could undermine confidence in the state’s election process, the Center Square’s review of the stories were based on internal government documents and emails obtained through public-records requests.

Last year, the SOS signed a contract with U.K.-based AI company Logically to search online content on various social media platforms, including Twitter, for “harmful narratives” regarding Washington’s elections or voting.

The company was also tasked with generating reports to be sent to SOS for review highlighting “Emerging Narratives” related to Washington’s elections or voting.

According to SOS, “The criteria for these searches was specified by OSOS staff and is nonpartisan.”

In June and July, Logically generated reports on two separate stories published by the Center Square, which obtained the reports:

The first report claimed that the first story pushed the narrative that “no government agency in Washington State has the mandate or authority to verify citizenship of registered voters and some users claimed it represents intentional negligence by Washington authorities to enable voter fraud. Users claimed that this leads to foreign nationals regularly voting in Washington’s elections.”

The report warned that the story could “motivate individuals to call for stricter voter registration laws and more oversight of the process.”

The second report claimed that a story on a foreign national avoiding prosecution after voting 28 times meant “that Washington’s elections were not secure and should not be trusted, and they noted that the sheriff’s office declined to prosecute the foreign nationals.”

Though the report included screenshots of online users making such comments along with posts of the Center Square stories, the report also included social media posts simply linking to the story itself without additional commentary.

The report further warned that the Center Square story could “increase claims of voter fraud and motivate individuals to call on election officials to implement citizenship verification procedures for voter registration in Washington State.”

When The Center Square reached out to the SOS inquiring which state agency verifies citizenship of registered voters, Deputy Director of External Affairs Derrick Nunnally wrote that “voters are required to affirm eligibility when they register (on paper, in person, or online) and with their signature each time they cast a ballot.”

Nunnally claimed that the state imposed tough consequences on those who violated the law and that the rolls were regularly updated using national databases like the Electronic Registration Information Center.

“Non-citizens who attempt to participate in elections can be subject to prosecution, deportation, and/or potential loss of a path to citizenship,” he claimed. “Washington has 4.8 million active voter registrations, which are regularly verified using ERIC and other state and federal data sources.”

The SOS did not directly respond to questions regarding actions taken by the SOS to ensure non-citizens do not vote in elections and the coming primary.

Nunnally also stated that the Logically AI reports sent to the SOS were used “to formulate the office’s social media posts and other messaging” rather than to pressure companies like Twitter to shadow-ban the offending outlets.

“Neither Logically AI nor the Office of Secretary of State has used these reports to seek censorship, categorize specific social media users, or request action against any social media user,” he claimed.

Twitter, Facebook and other outlets long denied such censorship practices in the leadup to the 2020 election, although it was later revealed through internal communications exposed by the Twitter Files and elsewhere that the companies were colluding with deep-state intelligence agencies to do just that.

Whether Washington State’s office is doing it or not, the misuse of AI in such a way raises concerns about leftist censorship efforts on a larger scale. The U.S. State Department, for instance, was revealed in a recent lawsuit to be colluding with private activist groups such as the Global Disinformation Index and NewsGuard to establish a de-facto blacklist of mostly conservative outlets who promoted information that they deemed problematic.

When contacted by the Center Square about the SOS program, Aaron Terr, director of public advocacy at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, wrote that they were “concerned about how government efforts to combat misinformation can give rise to censorship.”

The actions being taken by the Washington State officials suggested, at best, that they were going down a slippery slope that violated the spirit of the First Amendment.

“Government monitoring of publicly accessible social media posts for alleged misinformation doesn’t in itself violate the First Amendment, even if it gives off a creepy authoritarian vibe,” Terr wrote.

“But First Amendment issues could arise depending on what the government does with that information,” he added. “We’ve seen, for example, how White House officials have unlawfully coerced social media platforms to remove or downgrade content related to controversial topics like COVID-19 and election fraud.”

Terr suggested that additional transparency and accountability on the part of Hobbs’s office and others attempting to use this technology would help to reassure free-speech watchdogs and members of the public that they were acting in good faith.

If “government officials are only trying to understand prevailing narratives about an issue so they can respond with their own speech, that’s less concerning,” he said.

“But the government should always be fully transparent about its actions and careful not to do or say anything to suggest citizens will face repercussions for constitutionally protected speech, even if officials deem that speech false or misleading,” he added. “The First Amendment doesn’t permit the government to dictate truth and squash dissent.”

Univ. of Calif. Suspends Center Over Pro-Palestine, Jew-Hating Propaganda

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The University of California-Santa Barbara (USCB) suspended its “Multicultural Center” one day after the center expressed its anti-Jewish views, even going as far as suggesting that Jews drink blood.

On Feb. 26, 2024, the Multicultural Center MCC held a “collective action,” displaying visible signs such as “Zionists not welcome,” “F— pinkwashing. Queers for Palestine,” “Zionism is terrorism” and “when people are occupied, resistance is justified,” Daily Nexus wrote.

There were more than 100 signs inside the building, among which were “Dykes 4 Palestine,” “DEI is white supremacy,” “Zionists — just say you hate black, brown and indigenous” and some that targeted the student association president for being “neutral.”

In an email to students, Chancellor Henry T. Yang wrote that there were “offensive social media messages and signage at the Multicultural Center entrance” that campus offices are currently reviewing.

“The posting of such messages is a violation of our principles of community and inclusion,” he wrote.

As expected, Students Supporting Israel, a pro-Israel campus group, commented on what happened by saying that the multicultural center was excluding the Jewish community.

“While the MCC prides itself on dedicating to creating a safe and inclusive space for cultural minorities, this attempt aims to silence, threaten, intimidate and discriminate against the Jewish community,” the group said.

The center continued its anti-Semitic messaging on social media, among which was the now-infamous blood libel, “Why does our school support a regime to feast on the blood of our fellow humans?”

“For over 24 hours, these messages went unchallenged while extremist elements celebrated the latest attempt to harass, bully and intimidate Jewish students,” USCB’s Hillel, a Jewish group, said.

The news source also reported that the Monday gathering took place from 9 a.m. until after 3 p.m., with the university administration being present.

The UCSB MCC’s official Instagram account wrote “In case we aren’t clear, let us spell it out” above a picture of the front doors with signs saying “Zionists not welcome,” the school newspaper added.

Coast Guard Tells California to Shove Off over New Carbon-Capture Regulations

(The U.S. Coast Guard says it “will not enforce” a new California Air Resources Board regulation, citing “safety concerns.”

The Coast Guard and business organizations oppose CARB’s requirement that commercial harbor craft install diesel particulate filters (DPFs) linked to a number of fires.

Seventeen states are suing the Environmental Protection Agency for giving an exemption to California alone to enact its own air standards that, by power of its market size, govern much of the rest of the country.

Before enforcing the rule, CARB is required to receive authorization for a waiver from the EPA under the Clean Air Act, which it is yet to secure. DPFs capture nearly all the soot and other particulate matter leaving a diesel engine.

This highly flammable material is cleared out by DPF “regeneration”—bringing the engine up to high speeds and heat to make the built-up material catch on fire to clear itself out. This regeneration process is a much higher temperature than combustion and produces carbon dioxide, water vapor, and much smaller levels of soot.

While DPF filters reduce immediate particulate pollution, they are linked to many fires, including a 3,600-acre fire in Washington state, that weigh against this benefit.

Rear Admiral Andrew M. Sugimoto, who commands the U.S. Coast Guard’s Eleventh District that stretches from the California-Oregon border all the way to Peru, wrote a letter to CARB detailing his issues with the pending DTF requirement.

Sugimoto cited “potential fire safety issues associated with DPFs,” “feasibility and potential stability issues,” and “potential safety issues over DPF operating temperatures and the fire load of the vessel due to varied hull materials” as reasons that the Coast Guard would not follow the regulations.

“DPS verified by CARB may not necessarily be accepted by the Coast Guard for installation on inspected commercial vessels,” Sugimoto said.

“Coast Guard inspectors will not perform emissions tests on vessels operating in U.S. waters to evaluate DPF system performance,” he continued. “Therefore, please note that the Coast Guard will not enforce California’s CHC regulation.”

The American Waterways Operators also oppose the rule.

“Our industry safely and efficiently moves over 665 million tons of cargo each year while emitting 43 percent less greenhouse gasses than rail and 832 percent less than trucks,” wrote AWO president and CEO Jennifer Carpenter to California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

“CARB has made it clear that it intends to continue to enforce the CHC rule deadlines without EPA authorization,” she added. “This ill-advised position should be reconsidered not only for legal reasons, but also to protect mariner safety, the environment, and the California supply chain.”

AWO also said retrofitting each tugboat or other commercial harbor craft by the state’s deadline 10 months from now would cost $5 million per boat—cash many operators simply don’t have, and due to the lack of available drydocks, physically impossible to complete on time.

CARB is increasingly under pressure from businesses and other states who say the state’s unique, federal government-granted sway in environmental standards is unfair.

A 17-state coalition suing the EPA claims California’s exceptional status violates the doctrine of equal sovereignty among states and effectively allows the state to dictate national environmental policy. California was allowed to start creating its own air standards under the 1970 Clean Air Act due to the tremendous smog and pollution in the state at the time.

Notably, while Southern California’s smog levels must still be cut by 100 tons per day to reach the EPA’s 1997 ozone standards, the South Coast Air Quality Management District says ⅔ of the required cuts must be done at the federal level for trains, ships, and aircraft because it lacks the power to regulate them itself.

Apple Won’t Be Making Electric Cars

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Apple recently revealed that it ended its decade-long pursuit to enter the electric vehicle market after wasting billions of dollars.

One of the reasons why Apple pulled the plug was that the company was spending a lot of money while trying to catch up to Elon Musk’s Tesla Motors, according to the Daily Wire.

“It makes no sense whatsoever for Apple to sell a car. Apple makes 40-50pc gross margins on the products it sells, and it will not make that on seats and steering wheels,” technology analyst Richard Windsor said back in 2023.

The news source added that the company wanted to develop new battery technology that would dramatically cut the cost of electric vehicles and develop software that would make their cars fully self-driving.

Some of the 2,000 Apple employees who were working on the project will be transferred to other areas of the company while others will be fired.

“Apple canceling this project is a sigh of relief for us. When you look at Apple’s future initiatives, the car project was always the most far-fetched for Apple. This just isn’t in their wheelhouse,” Dan Morgan, a senior portfolio manager at Apple shareholder Synovus Trust, said.

Last month, Apple said that it was pushing back its timetable for debuting its electric car from 2026 to 2028, which comes as the electric vehicle market has fallen off significantly in recent years due to the vehicles not being popular among people and other consumer concerns.

Last week, Mercedes-Benz also announced that it was abandoning its plans to only sell electric vehicles after 2030 due to low consumer demand, which is a huge turnaround for the company from its three-year-old pledge to completely phase out selling gas-powered vehicles by 2030 and to only sell EVs.

“Customers and market conditions will set the pace of the transformation. The company plans to be in a position to cater to different customer needs, whether it’s an all-electric drivetrain or an electrified combustion engine, until well into the 2030s,” the company stated.

CDC Drops 5-Day Isolation Guidance for COVID-19

(Brett Rowland, The Center Square) – The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is longer recommending people stay home from work or school for five days after testing positive for COVID-19.

The agency said its new guidance aligns COVID recommendations with the agency’s approach to a range of common respiratory viral illnesses.

These respiratory viral illnesses including flu and RSV.

The update comes as the U.S. reports fewer hospitalizations and deaths linked to COVID-19.

“Today’s announcement reflects the progress we have made in protecting against severe illness from COVID-19,” CDC Director Dr. Mandy Cohen said.

“However, we still must use the commonsense solutions we know work to protect ourselves and others from serious illness from respiratory viruses – this includes vaccination, treatment, and staying home when we get sick.”

The new guidance recommends people who catch a respiratory virus stay home and away from others.

It said people who get COVID-19 or the flu should return to normal activities when symptoms are improving overall for at least 24 hours.

Biden Signs Stopgap Measure to Keep Government Open One Week

(Casey Harper, The Center Square) Joe Biden signed a temporary funding measure Friday that will keep the government open roughly one more week while lawmakers work to broker a longer-term deal.

As The Center Square previously reported, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Continuing Resolution with a vote 320-99, sending it to the Senate, which passed it 77-13.

Biden signed the funding measure Friday afternoon, just hours before a partial government shutdown.

The spending measure only delays the shutdown, though, which has two staggered deadlines of March 8 and March 22.

Democrats are insistent on including supplemental funding for Ukraine in its war against Russia while Republicans are demanding action on the border from Biden.

On the border, Biden has called on legislation to be passed, but Republicans say Biden already has the funding and administrative authority to fix the border.

Biden met with Congressional leaders earlier this week and called on lawmakers to keep the government open and pass more military aide for Ukraine and Israel and humanitarian aid for Gaza.

“Every day that House Republicans refuse to hold a vote on the bipartisan National Security Supplemental, the consequences for Ukraine grow more severe,” Biden said in a statement this week.

That foreign aid funding will be a key sticking point in the ongoing negotiations.

“It’s pretty safe to say we all agree we need to avoid a government shutdown,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said during a press conference earlier this week.

“Under no circumstances does anybody want to shut the government down so I think we can stop that drama right here before it emerges,” he added.

Other Republicans, though, seem less willing to keep the government open no matter what.

“I’m not scared of a government shutdown if it’s the price we need to pay to secure our border, get our debt under control, and stop the government from going after my fellow Americans,” Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo., wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Whether lawmakers can get a deal across the finish line and resolve the disagreements over Ukraine funding remains to be seen.

“I stand here today again opposing the status quo of more reckless spending in Washington,” Rep. Bob Good, R-Va., who leads the House Freedom Caucus, said from the House floor. “This House is supposedly run by Republicans, and yet here we are continuing to pass the Pelosi-Biden-Schumer spending levels and the policies connected to them, predictably with a majority of Democrat votes.

Good went on to point to the national debt, which is over $34 trillion, a concern Republicans have repeatedly raised. Good’s concerns largely represent those of of the reluctant Republican holdouts, nearly half of the Republican members in the House, who Johnson will need to win over or otherwise cave to Democratic policy demands to pass a year-long spending measure.

“As a matter of fact, I had a Democrat tell me this morning in a private conversation, he likes it when we are in charge because nothing changes, but we get the blame for it because we have the majority,” Good said.

Food Stamp Costs for a Family’s Meal Jump 31% Over Last Three Years

(Shirleen Guerra, The Center Square) – The monthly costs for healthy meals for a family of four participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program increased by 31% over the past three years.

The United States Department of Agriculture stated the food stamp benefit amounts are based every year upon the cost of the Thrifty Food Plan.

SNAP spent $7.9 billion on food stamps in November 2023.

The thrifty plan is considered the cost of groceries needed to provide a healthy, cost-friendly diet for families to prepare at home. The foods include dark green vegetables, poultry, and whole fruit, according to the USDA website.

These meals serve as a model for nutrition, now the typical meal for a family of four has increased in cost by 31% from January 2021 to January 2024, according to reports.

The cost for a family of four under the thrifty plan in 2021 with children ages 6 to 8 and 9 to 11 was $675 a month.

The United States Department of Agriculture’s 2023 updated thrifty plan for a family of four with children 6 to 8 and 9 to 11 now totals $975.90 monthly.

The United States Department of Agriculture’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recommends meals for people on food stamps that their allotment is based upon.

The thrifty meal plan must be re-evaluated every five years as of 2022 as directed by the 2018 Farm Bill.

MURDOCK: Fani Under Fire for Getting Rump Instead of Trump

(Deroy Murdock, Headline USA) The fun never sets in the Atlanta courtroom of Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee. That is the red-hot scene of the adults-only reality TV hit called The Real Prosecutors of Fulton County.

As the Associated Press observed on Wednesday, a perilous political matter has “taken on a soap opera atmosphere, bogged down by testimony about sex, dating, cash stashes and text messages…”

This week’s guest star is Terrence Bradley, Esq., the former law partner of Nathan Wade.

Wade, for his part, swims in controversy. He conducted an adulterous relationship with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, even while he was married (en route to divorce) and works for Willis as lead prosecutor in her criminal trial related to President Donald J. Trump’s alleged efforts to “overturn” the 2020 election.

Bradley testified about when Willis and Wade started their swingin’ affair. He previously had exchanged hundreds of e-mails with Ashleigh Merchant, an attorney for Trump’s co-defendant Michael Roman, regarding the timing of Willis and Wade’s romance.

In one message, Bradley said that it “absolutely” began before Willis employed Wade in November 2021. But then Bradley contracted courtroom-induced amnesia.

Frustrated, Merchant told McAfee: “Judge, he doesn’t remember much of anything right now.”

Memories fade. But, alas for Willis and Wade, phone bills are forever.

Wade’s cell-phone records are highly incriminating. They show some 2,000 calls and 10,000 text messages between Willis and Wade. They communicated nonstop, with the frenzied back and forth of teenagers in heat.

Even more revealing are the location data from Wade’s cellphone. They confirm that Wade repeatedly showed up at Willis’s home ’round midnight and then went home by the dawn’s early light.

Did they burn the midnight oil reviewing documents and plotting trial procedures, or were other things afoot by candlelight?

Wade and Willis testified that they “did not sleep together” before Willis hired Wade.

As the late, great Dr. Henry Kissinger would have put it, this most likely “has the added advantage of being true.” These visits in the wee small hours involved little, if any, actual sleep.

The opposing counsel should have asked the obvious question as directly as this: “Did you two have sex before Willis employed Wade?”

Of course, Willis paid Wade an enormous sum to argue a complex Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) case against a former president of the United States. This is the legal equivalent of starring in the flying trapeze. Wade seems better equipped to drive a clown car. Nonetheless, he got paid like P.T. Barnum.

Wade has earned some $654,000 from Willis’s case against Trump since January 2022. Fishier still, Willis paid Wade $250 per hour in November and December 2021 while disbursing only $150 per hour to John Floyd, reputedly Georgia’s go-to RICO expert, according to a contract secured by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Wade then spent part of this bonanza to take Willis on cruises, a fabulous weekend in Napa Valley, and other hot times in posh spots.

Willis seems to have recruited Wade in exchange for sexual favors and financial benefits, namely Earth-shaking assignations and splashy vacations.

This was a giant sexual kickback scheme—call it play to pay—all financed with Fulton County, Georgia’s tax dollars.

If Willis hired her boyfriend, then this is corruption.

If Willis hired Wade and then started copulating with him, then this sounds like sexual harassment: A boss knocking boots with an employee over whom she wields professional and economic power.

This is either a kickback scam or #MeToo in reverse.

Which is it, Fani?

Willis and Wade should be booted from this case. Indeed, this entire stinking wreck should be dismissed—and Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, Sidney Powell, Harrison Floyd, Michael Roman and the other defendants who are being persecuted—or who already have pleaded guilty—should have their charges dropped, their legal fees reimbursed, and profound apologies rendered by people of Fulton County.

Eric Adams Aide Rushed to Hospital after FBI Raided Home

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Federal investigators carried out yet raid in their investigation into New York City Mayor Eric Adams’s 2021 campaign — this time the FBI targeted the home of top aide Winnie Greco.

The raid’s frenzy ultimately led to Greco being rushed to hospital as the FBI seized boxes in their investigation into the potential use of an NYC mall’s workers for straw donations—where individuals donate to a campaign but later receive reimbursement.

News outlet The City first reported the allegations, revealing that Greco held campaign fundraising operations for Adams’s 2021 mayoral campaign at New World Mall.

Specifically, the news outlet claimed that one mall worker admitted to making a $249 donation to Adams at the request of her employer, only to then be reimbursed. Almost two dozen others admitted to participating in similar donation schemes under the same agreements.

A separate, but related, scheme led to a plea deal on Feb. 5 between Adams aide Dwayne Montgomery and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Similarly, Shahid and Yahya Mushtag pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor conspiracy charge in October, according to outlet.

These allegations also ignited a high-profile federal investigation into purported favors carried out by Adams on behalf of Turkish donors.

Greco currently serves as an Asian affairs advisor for the Adams administration, where she enjoys annual salary of $100,000.

The federal investigation into Greco initially surfaced in November 2023. After her medical episode, she is on leave.

Responding to the allegations, Adams asserted that he consistently urged his workers to abide by the rules. “Follow the law, follow the rules. I said it throughout my entire law enforcement career, and I’ve said it in my public life as well,” Adams said in an interview on NY1, according to the New York Post.
