Parents Sue School District Over Sexual, Physical Abuse of 5-Year-Old on School Bus

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A Washington State school district was sued by the parents of a 5-year-old kindergartner with special needs after it was discovered via video footage that the child was “sexually and physically abused” by a fifth-grade student on a school bus.

The child, who attended kindergarten in the North Mason School District, has developmental and speech delays and was provided door-to-door transportation by the district in a small bus for special education students, the complaint that was filed on Apr. 1, 2024, said, according to the Post Millennial.

The district modified its transportation plan on Sept. 13, 2023, so that younger children would begin riding the bus with older children. The kindergartner’s parents expressed their concerns regarding her “riding on the bus with older children given her age, speech delays and the number of children on the bus.”

On Sept. 22, 2023, when the mother greeted her daughter after she took the larger bus home, the child was crying, “distressed and acting out of character,” with the bus driver allegedly “brushing off” the child’s anxiety.

Instead of providing the video footage from the bus right away, the school informed the mother about her child being sexually and physically abused by a 5th-grade boy on the bus only on Sept. 26, 2023.

The complaint filed by lead attorney Amanda Searle with Connelly Law Offices in Tacoma, Wash., stated that “the footage showed the 5th-grade boy was told to sit next to [the girl] by the bus driver,” which resulted in the boy sexually and physically abusing the girl for “thirty-six minutes” while the girl was “crying and shaking her head no repeatedly.”

“The district was — in all circumstances — deliberately indifferent to the sexual abuse and physical abuse of [the child],” the complaint said.

The child’s parents accused the school district of negligently hiring, training and supervising employees, as well as failing to protect the girl from a student “with known behavioral issues.” In addition to that, the parents are seeking damages for negligence and discrimination.

“The district created a hostile environment for [the child] in ways including, but not limited to, placing her on a regular school bus given her age and disability, placing a 5th grader next to her with a history of behavioral issues, failing to supervise either the 5th grader or [the child] and allowing the abuse of [the child] by failing to intervene when she cried and yelled for help,” the complaint said.

GMA Host Michael Strahan Stunned at Grocery Prices in Biden Era: ‘Wow’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The impact of Bidenflation has reached the hosts of ABC News’s Good Morning America, as one host was left stunned after learning about the soaring grocery prices.

During a Friday segment comparing grocery prices from 2019 to 2024, co-host Michael Strahan appeared visibly shocked as his colleague and ABC News business correspondent, Rebecca Jarvis, revealed the stark contrast.

“Wow,” Strahan exclaimed in response to Jarvis’s presentation, first reported by Fox News.

“You’re getting about 30% less these days for your money,” Jarvis explained, as shown in a video shared by the Media Research Center. “$100 then would now cost you about $130.”

Jarvis laid out two tables displaying various grocery items such as bananas, broccoli, carrots, milk, bacon and cereal. The first table showcased items Americans were able to purchase for $100 between March 2019 and March 2020, while the second highlighted what $100 could afford between March 2023 and March 2024.

The items on the 2023-2024 table were visibly fewer than those on the 2019-2020 table, further emphasizing the inflationary impact.

“You’re getting less,” Jarvis pointed out to Strahan, prompting him to inquire about ways Americans can save money on groceries.

Jarvis suggested solutions like mobile apps, citing Ibotta, a cash-back app that offers discounts on certain items.

“This particular can of mayonnaise, we could save $3 if we shop at Walmart, using the Ibotta app. That’s one item but you make that for all items in your shopping cart, you’re going to really add up,” she explained.

This segment on Good Morning America sheds light on the struggles Americans are facing under the Biden administration.

According to the Heritage Foundation’s “The Biden Inflation Tracker,” Americans have also experienced rising prices gas and other essential household items.

Since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021, essential grocery items like flour, eggs, baby food, formulas, canned fruits and vegetables, bread, poultry and lunch meats have seen price hikes ranging between 23 percent and 37 percent.

Inflation has also impacted various financial aspects, with real disposable income per capita dropping by a staggering 7.5 percent, homeownership decreasing by 36.3 percent, credit card debt skyrocketing by 38.7 percent and monthly savings plummeting by 78.3 percent.

High School Allegedly Tells Students Bestiality Is OK, Part of LGBT

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The South Australia Department for Education launched an investigation into one of the country’s high schools after it hosted an unsupervised presentation for young girls that explicitly explained bestiality as part of a sex education session about LGBT.

Renmark High School’s principal, Matt Evans, issued a letter of apology to parents who heard that their children left in disgust during the session on March 22, 2024, which was given by a third-party presenter and put on by Headspace Berri, Human Events reported.

The girls’ parents learned that their daughters had been pulled from their regular classes and placed in a separate classroom with the Headspace Berri facilitators and the speaker without the supervision of a teacher. In addition to that, it was revealed that the parents were neither notified about the presentation nor consented to it.

“We had a teacher that told us to grab a chair and sit in front of the board, and then the Headspace people came in, and then [the teacher] left, so then we’re sitting in front of a board alone with no teachers, just the Headspace people,” 14-year-old student Courtney White said.

According to the students, the title slide of the presentation stated, “You can see queerly now. No point in hiding.”

Another student, a 14-year-old Emelia Wunderberg, said all the girls felt extremely “uncomfortable” as the presenter went into graphic detail about their sexuality and then showed a slide about what each component in “LGBTQIA+” meant.

“There was a slide for what the ‘plus’ means, and they just started randomly saying words that no one knew, like ‘bestiality.’ They said [the queer community] just accepts all of it, even though… isn’t it illegal?” she said.

The girl continued talking about how she and other teens felt extremely uncomfortable about the entire situation.

“We’re all just sitting there like, ‘What the he**? What are we doing here? Why are we learning about animals having sex with humans?’ It was really disgusting. It was really uncomfortable,” she said.

Kamala Makes Bizarre ‘Women’s History’ Claim about March Madness Brackets

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris got her history wrong in a false assertion regarding women’s March Madness brackets, marking a failed attempt to interject identity politics into sports.

During a Friday interview with Spectrum News 1 at a campaign event in North Carolina, Harris falsely claimed that the NCAA women’s basketball tournaments “were not allowed to have brackets until 2022.”

Offering what she called “a bit of a history lesson” to Spectrum News reporter Reuben Jones, Harris made the demonstrably false statement: “Do you know that women were not—the women’s teams were not allowed to have brackets until 2022. Think about that… better late than ever.”

Critics swiftly rebuked Harris’s claims on Twitter, with the research account of the RNC reposting a tweet from Harris’s husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, boasting about his March Madness women brackets. The timestamp on Emhoff’s tweet? 2021—a year prior to Harris’s statements that brackets were permitted.

“As usual, she is wrong,” the RNC wrote, before sharing a series of tweets from 2021 where both Harris and her husband discussed March Madness—including a bracket for the women’s division.

On March 18, 2021, Emhoff shared a photo of himself completing what seemed to be March Madness brackets. “It’s been a busy week on the road but I couldn’t miss the chance to fill out my #MarchMadness brackets,” he captioned the post.

Harris, using her own Twitter account, responded to Emhoff’s tweet, asking: “Well… who are you taking?”

In reply, Emhoff shared two images of his March Madness selections, one of which was for the “2021 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship.”

Despite Harris’s claim, women have had their own NCAA tournaments since 1982, as reported by the Daily Caller. From 1972 to 1982, they used brackets under the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women, the outlet added.

A source told the New York Post that Harris may have been alluding that women’s NCAA Tournaments were not formally branded as part of March Madness until 2022. However, that is not what Harris explicitly stated.

White House Continues to Defend Jill Biden’s ‘Work Husband’ Despite Harassment Allegations

(Headline USA) The White House refused to answer a question this week over whether first lady Jill Biden was shielding an aide from an investigation into sexual harassment allegations against him, the New York Post reported.

Anthony Bernal, whom Biden has reportedly dubbed her “work husband,” was accused last month of verbally harassing his colleagues and creating a toxic work environment.

When asked about the allegations, White House press secretary Karine Jean–Pierre defended Bernal.

“I don’t know who your sources are so I can’t—just with all due respect—I can’t speak to that… I mean, they’re blind sources,” Jean-Pierre said during a press briefing.

“What I can speak to is you saw a statement from our Chief of Staff Jeff Zients saying [the allegations] are ‘unfounded,’” she continued. “You saw a very strong statement from Anthony himself… and he said the same.”

Pressed again on whether the allegations against Bernal would at least warrant an investigation, Jean-Pierre said, “I cannot speak to personnel investigations here or anything like that. That is not something I will ever speak to. And I’m not saying there is one—I’m just saying that I will never, I cannot speak to that and that’s not something that I can do.”

She went on to describe Bernal as a “friend” and “colleague that I respect.”

In his statement last month, Zients dismissed the allegations against Bernal as “unfounded.” However, there has been no recorded investigation into them.

At least three anonymous former colleagues of Bernal’s, including one in the Biden White House, accused Bernal of repeatedly making inappropriate comments about his colleagues’ appearances.

The openly gay staffer allegedly speculated about the penis sizes of his colleagues, including political aides and Secret Service agents.

At one point, Bernal allegedly told a colleague he had a small penis during a dispute. On another occasion, he allegedly commented on a “staffer’s bulge in his khakis.”

The sources said Bernal’s close relationship with Jill Biden has likely shielded him from any repercussions.

Texas Gov. Abbott Reveals that NYC Mayor’s Political Games Inspired Busloads of Illegals

(Headline USA) Texas Gov. Greg Abbott vowed this week to keep busing illegal migrants to blue cities and states as long as President Joe Biden is in office.

Speaking at the New York Republican Party’s annual gala in Manhattan, Abbott explained the rationale behind his busing program, which has sent more than 40,000 illegals to New York City alone over the past two years.

Abbott said his team came up with the strategy after local officials near the state’s southern border expressed concern with the number of illegals that were being dropped off in their communities by federal authorities.

At first, Abbott said Texas planned to send illegals only to Washington, D.C. to draw attention to the Biden administration’s inaction.

“Neither Joe Biden nor the border czar [Vice President Kamala Harris] had actually been to the border to see the chaos and cost,” he pointed out. “And so my thought process was if they’re not going to come to the border, we’re going to take the border to them.”

Abbott decided to expand the busing program to New York, however, after receiving criticism from Mayor Eric Adams.

“Quite literally out of nowhere Eric Adams starts criticizing me for sending them to New York City,” Abbott recalled.

“We made clear, by contacting his office, and said, ‘We’re not sending them to New York,’” he continued. “We issued press releases to the press saying we’re not sending migrants to New York—that’s Joe Biden sending them to New York.”

But Adams and other New York Democrats continued to blame Texas, Abbott said, so he decided that “if I’m going to get the criticism, I want to get the credit. And thus began the busing of illegal immigrants to the sanctuary city of New York City.”

Texas has bused more than 107,000 illegal immigrants out of the Lone Star State to blue cities across the country since April 2022. Abbott made it clear his state will continue to do so until whoever occupies the White House decides to take the border crisis seriously.

“We are going to have to maintain this process until we get a new president next November who will secure the border of the United States of America,” he said.

Newsom’s Luxury Restaurant Pays Employees Far Under New State Minimum Wage

(Headline USA) A restaurant partially owned by California Gov. Gavin Newsom is reportedly paying its employees $16 per hour—$4 less than what a new state minimum-wage law requires for major food chains.

PlumpJack Cafe, in the Olympic Valley ski resort near Lake Tahoe, posted a job listing this week for a part-time busser who will “aim to assist the food server … to ensure guest satisfaction during all aspects of the dining experience,” according to the ZipRecruiter ad. The job listing specified the salary for the busser would be $16 per hour plus tips.

However, a new fast-food minimum wage that went into effect on Monday requires many restaurants to pay their employees at least $20 per hour. The new law applies to restaurants offering limited or no table service that are part of a chain with 60 or more locations nationwide.

PlumpJack Group operates four restaurants and bars and four wineries, according to its website, and therefore it is below the standards to meet the $20-hour wage minimum.

Still, critics pointed out that the wage discrepancy means an employee at a California McDonald’s would make more than most of the staff at Newsom’s luxury restaurant.

“I wonder why [Gov. Newsom’s] food businesses don’t pay $20/hour? Live job posting at $16/hr in Olympic Valley,” tweeted California state Rep. Joe Patterson. “It’s very, very expensive to live there … but he doesn’t do as he tells others and doesn’t pay a living wage.”

When asked about the discrepancy, a spokesperson for Newsom clarified that he put his holdings in the restaurant in a blind trust back in 2018 and that he does not have an active role in its day-to-day operations.

“He has no role in any of the holdings that may be held by the blind trust,” a spokesperson said in a statement.

TPUSA’s Early Vote-Banking Project Gets Fawning N.Y. Times Treatment

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The New York Times published a lengthy feature on conservative group Turning Point USA’s plan to “chase the ballots,” and encourage voters to take advantage of the early and mail-in voting programs put in place in the 2020 election.

The stated goal of the Phoenix-based TPUSA is to get citizens who usually do not participate in elections to vote, not to turn Election Day voters into early voters.

“It’s better to participate, even in that way, than not participate at all,” said Charlie Kirk, founder of the organization. “That’s our argument.”

Kirk and his team changed from being fervently against mail-in voting to considering it as a way to gain an even footing with the Democrats after the 2022 gubernatorial election in Arizona.

In his attempt to vote for GOP candidate Kari Lake, Kirk said he went to the polls only to wait in a two-and-a-half-hour line caused by malfunctioning machines.

Lake lost the race to Democrat Secretary of State Katie Hobbs by about 17,000 votes. In 2022, about 19,000 more Democrats voted by mail than Republicans.

Since then, Kirk and TPUSA changed their tune on mail-in voting, claiming that Republicans should be made aware and take advantage of their “buffet line of voting options.”

The group started the effort in Arizona and Wisconsin, and announced potential plans to expand into Georgia and Michigan.

This is a vast departure from the Republican’s former strategy, and may cause some whiplash among the voter base, in which many suspect that Democrats and other corrupt election officials are not legitimately tallying early votes but using the ruse to encourage illegitimate ballot harvesting and vote fraud after the election has ended.

Kirk, presumptive 2024 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump and several other conservative pundits and commentators spent much of the aftermath of the 2020 election decrying early voting as a fraudulent system.

As recently as last month, Trump said “if you have mail-in voting, you automatically have fraud” in a Fox News town hall with hostess Laura Ingraham.

TPUSA planned to train hundreds of people to attempt to sway non-committal citizens, and took in millions in donations in order to expand their operation across the nation.

6 States Report Spread of ‘Super Bird Flu’ to Cows; Human Case Emerges

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A new livestock-borne virus that has contributed to the surging prices of chicken and eggs, forcing Chick-fil-A to backtrack on its longstanding policy against the use of antibiotics, may now be threatening cows and even humans, raising anxieties about potential food shortages, another pandemic or both.

The so-called super bird flu was previously detected in cattle in three states: Texas, Michigan and Kansas. Now, three more states are reporting cases in their own livestock as the virus spreads, Legal Insurrection reported.

The virus, known as H5N1, has now been detected in relatively small numbers of cows in Idaho, New Mexico and Ohio, each of which are monitoring the situation according to the report.

In New Mexico, no numbers were available as officials tried to track down which herds had and had not been infected by the virus. New Mexico State Veterinarian Samantha Uhrig said that officials were working to isolate afflicted herds.

“We don’t have an actual count of the cows individually,” said Uhrig. “We have a number of herds that have been confirmed.”

Though the disease, H5N1, causes cows to behave strangely and get sick for some time, most healthy animals survive the ordeal according to the report.

Humans can also contract H5N1, as can house cats.

On Wednesday, the European Food Safety Authority sounded the alarm over a potential spread to humans, which could create pandemic-like situations due to a lack of natural immunity, Fox News reported.

“These viruses continue to evolve globally, and with the migration of wild birds, new strains carrying potential mutations for mammalian adaptation could be selected,” noted the EFSA alert.

“If avian A (H5N1) influenza viruses acquire the ability to spread efficiently among humans, large‐scale transmission could occur due to the lack of immune defenses against H5 viruses in humans,” it added.

More concerning yet was a recent report suggesting that the U.S. Department of Agriculture may be performing gain-of-function research in collaboration with Chinese scientists that would make the bird flu even more infectious and deadly, the Daily Mail reported.

“It’s reckless and indefensible for… bureaucrats to bankroll dangerous avian flu gain-of-function studies involving virus experimenters from the notorious Wuhan animal lab that likely caused COVID and its CCP-run parent organization, the Chinese Academy of Sciences,” said Justin Goodman, senior vice president of the White Coat Waste Project, which exposed the $1 million research program.

‘Taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to foot the bill for animal experiments with foreign adversaries that soup up viruses and can cause pandemics or create bioweapons.’

A recent Smithsonian magazine report about H5N1 suggested that livestock contracted the disease by way of exposure to sick birds. Humans then could contract the disease by way of exposure to sick livestock.

In this instance, a Texas man who works with livestock was confirmed on Monday to have come down with H5N1, Time magazine reported, but he was said to be recovering well.

According to Nirav Shah, the principal deputy director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, none of the patient’s contacts appeared to have contracted the disease from him.

“We are not aware of reports that any of this individual’s close contacts have developed any symptoms,” Shah wrote.

“The fact that there are not other samples cooking right now is reassuring, insofar as that we’re not aware of other individuals who are symptomatic following an exposure to livestock.”

In response to the situation, the CDC put out a press release, claiming that the outbreak would not affect mass-produced milk prices, though some are worried that it might provide pretext for further raids on small-time dairy operations.

“The cattle infections do not present a concern for the commercial milk supply,” the CDC wrote. “Dairies are required to destroy or divert milk from any sick cows, plus pasteurization kills avian flu viruses.”

It remained to be determined what impact it might otherwise have on the beef and poultry industries, which inflation already has made, in many ways, unsustainable, with a tumultuous summer in store for gas prices and other economic factors likewise suggesting that shortages could lead to further price hikes.

Gold Is Rallying Again, But Silver Could Get REALLY Interesting

(Mike Gleason, Money Metals News Service) Another week, another record high for gold. On Wednesday, the monetary metal surged above $2,300 per ounce. It took a bit of a breather Thursday ahead of today’s key employment report but it rallied again on Friday.

Turning to silver, it made a significant breakout of its own this week. The white metal shot up above the $27 level to a fresh 2-year high and rallied to over $27.50 on Friday.

As gold prices continue to reach new heights, bulls are eying even higher highs.  Detractors, meanwhile, are pushing the narrative that gold has gotten too expensive.

They could both turn out to be right, though for different reasons.

In terms of depreciating U.S. fiat dollars, there can be little doubt that gold prices will continue to gain over time. The official inflation rate may rise or fall from here, but inflation itself is here to stay.

Those in the deflation camp have for years, and in some cases decades, been calling for gold and most other assets to suffer massive price collapses.  At this point, the deflationists have been totally discredited. But a few still stubbornly persist in their belief that a deflationary depression is coming.

For some reason, they just don’t get that inflation is built into the machinery of our monetary system. It’s not the 1930s anymore. Back then, politicians and central bankers were still constrained by the remnants of a gold standard. The U.S. Treasury still minted coins made of silver. The Federal Reserve had no access to a digital printing press.

Today’s Fed can create unbacked currency in unlimited quantities with the click of a few keystrokes on a computer. Moreover, today’s Fed has vowed that it will not tolerate deflation for any sustained period of time.  Fed officials won’t even tolerate a positive inflation rate that they arbitrarily deem to be too low.

Gold’s surge to new records reflects the Fed’s ongoing campaign of currency debasement. Yet the gold naysayers may have a point about the precious metal being too pricey – not in terms of dollars, but in terms of other hard assets.

In recent years, gold has outperformed silver, platinum, palladium, and copper. In fact, despite rallying of late, all of those other non-gold metals still have a long way to go in order to post new all-time highs.

Metals analysts have noted that structural supply deficits exist in these markets, perhaps most glaringly so in silver. It may only be a matter of time before chronic supply and demand imbalances trigger some sort of reckoning in the price-setting mechanism on futures exchanges.

Given that silver in particular is a small market that attracts some highly leveraged players, a price squeeze could result in some major fireworks to the upside. Silver is certainly gathering some upside momentum, but the timing of when it might accelerate toward new highs may depend on how the Fed’s shifting stance toward inflation plays out.

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell seemed to confirm last month that central bankers are giving up on trying to get inflation down to their arbitrary 2% target. Powell indicated rate cuts would come later this year even if inflation stays elevated at current levels.

But this week, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis President Neel Kashkari suggested that persistently high inflation may require policymakers to cancel rate cuts – and even consider rate hikes.

Neel Kashkari: Ultimately, we’ve been surprised in a good way that the economy has been very resilient, even though we’ve raised interest rates a lot. So, if we continue to see strong job growth, if we continue to see strong consumer spending and strong GDP growth, then that raises a question in my mind, well, why would we cut rates? Maybe the dynamics that we have right now are actually sustainable.

Interviewer: Here’s another question. Are rate hikes off the table?

Neel Kashkari: No, they’re certainly not off the table. I don’t know of anybody who’s taken them officially off the table. I don’t think they’re very likely. Even me, I think I’m on the more hawkish side of the committee. Even for me, I don’t think it’s likely. I think if we continue to be surprised that inflation is more persistent. The first thing I think we would do is just hold rates here for an extended period of time to see if that ultimately does the trick. But ultimately, if we get convinced that that’s not enough to bring inflation back down to our target in a reasonable period of time, that I think we would consider raising interest rates from here.

Kashkari is admittedly more hawkish on inflation than most of his central planning colleagues. He may be playing a sort of “good cop, bad cop” routine with markets to try to discourage exuberant investors from aggressively front-running the Fed’s likely rate cut.

In any event, central bankers have no actual intention of eliminating the inflation problem. They will never raise rates high enough or constrict the money supply tightly enough to deliver true price stability.

Given the inevitability of further currency depreciation, gold isn’t done going up in terms of fiat Federal Reserve notes. And the moves in other metals may just be getting started.
