Biden Pays College Students to Collect Votes Illegally

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The Biden administration has established a scheme that forces colleges and universities to pay students with taxpayer dollars to “get out the vote.”

Lawyers told the College Fix that this is an unprecedented interpretation of the Higher Education Act that’s likely illegal.

In February 2024, the U.S. Department of Education announced that federal work-study funds that are typically meant to assist college students in offsetting tuition costs by working a part-time campus job could be used to pay students for “broad-based get-out-the-vote activities,” the news source reported.

In April 2022, the department’s financial aid office sent a memo to universities, warning them that their federal funding could be in jeopardy if they do not distribute voter registration forms, citing the Higher Education Act’s call to make a “good faith effort” to do so.

Several observers described the action as a partisan — and likely illegal — effort by the Biden administration to coerce universities to pay college students with tax dollars to conduct voter registration efforts on campuses that are overwhelmingly stocked with far-left students who would “vote blue no matter who.”

Hans von Spakovsky, a senior legal fellow in the Heritage Foundation’s Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, for example, said that the cited section of the Higher Education Act “simply says that universities should do their best to distribute voter registration information to their own students.”

“It does not authorize the use of federal funds to pay students to engage in such activities, particularly to pay them to go outside of their college community to register voters who are not students. That is unprecedented,” von Spakovsky said.

According to Robert Eitel, president of the Defense of Freedom Institute for Policy Studies, who served as senior counselor to the Secretary of Education from 2017 through 2020 under the Trump administration, the Biden administration is overreaching to get more people to vote for Biden.

“The responsibility of colleges and universities that receive federal financial aid to ‘make a good faith effort’ to provide voter registration forms to students has been a relatively uncontroversial requirement of federal student aid compliance for decades, but leave it to the Biden administration to politicize the most generic of requirements,” Eitel said.

He also said the Biden administration’s “heavy hand” is an aggressive reading of the Higher Education Act of 1965.

“When one combines this guidance with the president’s illegal efforts to cancel student loans, it gives off a pretty putrid partisan aroma,” Eitel said.

SCOTUS Justice Samuel Alito Accused of Flying Upside Down Flag to Protest Stolen 2020 Election

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The New York Times published an article on May 17, 2024, in which the far-left newspaper claimed that Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito flew an upside-down American flag at his Alexandria, Va., home in protest of the stolen 2020 presidential election.

Photographs and eyewitness accounts from neighbors confirmed that Justice Alito’s home displayed the inverted flag on Jan. 17, 2021 — just days after the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol event and shortly before Joe Biden’s “inauguration,” the Times reported.

In his statement to the Times, Justice Alito denied any personal involvement with the flying of the flag, attributing it to Martha-Ann Alito, his wife. He also said that the flag was a reaction to provocative and insulting yard signs posted by neighbors, rather than a political statement.

“I had no involvement whatsoever in the flying of the flag. It was briefly placed by Mrs. Alito in response to a neighbor’s use of objectionable and personally insulting language on yard signs,” he said.

Flying a flag upside down is traditionally recognized as a distress signal “in instances of extreme danger to life or property,” which makes it not an inherently political statement.

Despite the explanation, the leftist newspaper still promoted the idea that Justice Alito was too biased, citing the incident as evidence and saying that it was “a clear violation of ethics rules, which seek to avoid even the appearance of bias and could sow doubt about Alito’s impartiality in cases related to the election and the Capitol riot.”

“It might be his spouse or someone else living in his home, but he shouldn’t have it in his yard as his message to the world. [This is] the equivalent of putting a ‘Stop the Steal’ sign in your yard, which is a problem if you’re deciding election-related cases,” Amanda Frost, a law professor at the University of Virginia, said.

Hunter Biden’s Sugar Brother ‘Tapped Out,’ Will No Longer Cover His Legal Expenses

(Headline USA) Hunter Biden’s “sugar brother,” Kevin Morris, reportedly told his associates that he can no longer cover the first son’s legal expenses.

The development comes as Hunter Biden is set to face two trials starting next month.

“The reason Kevin got involved financially in the first place was that he could see that no one was going to help Hunter,” a person close to Morris, who is a Hollywood entertainment lawyer, told Politico.

“Now, four and a half years later, there’s still no help—and now Kevin is completely tapped out,” the source added. “So just when Hunter is facing two criminal trials starting in a few weeks, he has no resources. It’s pretty dire.”

Morris has loaned Hunter Biden more than $6.5 million for legal expenses since late 2019, when the two met at a political fundraiser. However, the total amount Morris has spent on Hunter could be much higher than that.

Morris claimed during his congressional testimony in January that he did not need to divulge just how much he’s fronted the first son because of attorney–client privilege.

The source close to Morris acknowledged that cutting off Hunter would be a “huge problem” for the embattled first son, admitting he’s not sure how Hunter will pay expert witnesses in his defense. According to Politico, defense witnesses in a federal case can bill $500 per hour or more for their work rebutting the government’s prosecutors.

Hunter’s legal team also seemed to acknowledge these financial constraints in a filing on Tuesday, when Hunter’s attorney Abbe Lowell asked the judge presiding over the case regarding Hunter’s illegal purchase of a firearm if the trial could be pushed back.

The trial is set to start on June 3, but Lowell claimed defense “resources” were too strained to start then.

The judge, however, refused to move the trial start date.

Hunter has benefitted from a number of profitable business ventures, both before and during his father’s presidency, raising questions for many as to whether he was capitalizing on his own talent or on the political access and influence that accompanied his business relationships.

Most recently, Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, a Los Angeles megadonor who purchased at least one of Hunter Biden’s paintings from the Georges Bergès Gallery at a rate of up to $500,000 each was able to leverage that investment first for a plum appointment to the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad and later for special treatment in hostage negotiations after her great-niece was one of those kidnapped by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023.

While Biden has largely forgotten about some of the American hostages left behind to rot in Gaza, Abigail Mor Idan, 4, was free within two months of the attack, the first American to be exchanged.

“The president raised Abigail in nearly all of his phone calls with counterparts as well as with the Amir of Qatar,” an official said at the time of her release.

Morris also was one of the major patrons of Hunter Biden’s artistic endeavors. Despite claiming that the buyers were anonymous, Hunter reportedly was aware of his sugar-brother’s purchase, with the winning bid topping $875,000.

Leftist Chicago Council Member Called U.S. a ‘Garbage Society’ That ‘Favors White People’

(Headline USA) A leftist Chicago city council member has claimed that prosecuting criminals is “racist” and that the U.S. is a “garbage society” that “favors white people,” according her social-media history,” Fox News reported.

Alderwoman Rossana Rodriguez caucuses with the Democratic Socialists and has supported radical left-wing causes since being elected to the council in 2019, including defunding the police and teaching critical race theory in the city’s public schools.

She was reelected in 2023 for a four-year term.

During the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020, Rodriguez claimed in posts that have since been deleted that law enforcement exists to maintain “white power” and that Chicago should develop “alternatives to racist punishment.”

She added, “Police = safety is racist equation.”

According to screenshots of the posts obtained by Fox News, Rodriguez went on to claim that people commit crimes because of “white supremacy” and racism.

“White supremacy, systemic racism and exclusion are at the root of the issue of violence. If we want it to end we have to commit to dismantling white supremacist structures and fight for equity,” she said.

“Our BIPOC youth are on the streets because they are not gonna settle for this garbage society we have,” she continued. “They know we are better off investing in the things that protect us… not police.”

Rodriguez also defended teaching children about critical race theory, arguing that “white people are ahead in the game” and that “race is not a factor that can impact success for white people.”

She also dismissed the idea that minorities could be racist against white people.

“Reverse racism is not a thing,” she claimed.

Unsurprisingly, Rodriguez has become an outspoken critic of Israel in recent months.

In November, she wrote on X, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” a slogan that calls for the eradication of the state of Israel.

Trump Criticizes Biden for Blocking RFK Jr. from Debates

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Donald Trump criticized Joe Biden on May 16, 2024, for blocking independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from participating in upcoming debates.

On May 15, 2024, the Biden campaign agreed to two debates against Trump, setting specific parameters, like the prohibition of in-person audiences and RFK Jr.

“Crooked Joe Biden does not want RFK Jr. in the debates because Junior is far left [like] him and they would be debating over the same territory, like ridiculous Open Borders and the Green New Scam, both of which are killing our Country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He wrote that RFK Jr. would also make Biden look worse, adding that he thinks that RFK Jr. should be allowed to participate in the debates even though he doesn’t meet the requirements.

“He’s also sharper and far more intelligent than Joe, all making for a bad combination of ingredients. I don’t care if [Junior] joins the Debate, but right now his polling numbers are very low, he is not properly qualified in the States, and he seems to be on a downward path. Junior’ needs more than his name to get on the ‘stage!’” Trump wrote.

On May 15, 2024, RFK Jr. responded to the news by writing that he would meet debate qualifications by the deadline.

“I’m happy to report that I will meet the criteria to participate in the @CNN debate before the June 20 deadline. I look forward to holding Presidents Biden and Trump accountable for their records in Atlanta on June 27 to give Americans the debate they deserve,” he wrote.

RFK Jr. also wrote on Twitter that Biden and Trump are “colluding to lock America into a head-to-head match-up that 70% say they do not want.”

“They are trying to exclude me from their debate because they are afraid I would win. Keeping viable candidates off the debate stage undermines democracy. By excluding me from the stage, Presidents Biden and Trump seek to avoid discussion of their eight years of mutual failure including deficits, wars, lockdowns, chronic disease and inflation,” he wrote.

Cohen Implodes on Cross-Exam, Admits Stormy Chat Really about 14-Yr-Old Boy

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) While testifying in court on Thursday, Michael Cohen, former lawyer for previous president Donald Trump, revealed that a phone call he previously testified concerned a bribe given to Stormy Daniels was actually a complaint about a 14 year-old prank caller, according to the New York Post.

The revelation took place at the tail end of a three-day cross examination of Trump’s Manhattan criminal trial.

Trump lawyer Todd Blanche introduced evidence that on the same day he allegedly paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 to cover up Trump’s affair, Cohen also threatened to report his prank caller to the Secret Service.

Cohen texted his colleague, Keith Schiller, about the situation, who responded with a brief “call me” text.

Cohen’s phone records from that day show a 96-second phone call, in which he previously claimed to update Trump on the situation with Daniels.

After Blanche entered the new evidence, Cohen changed his statement.

“Part of it was about the phone calls [with the prankster], but I knew that Keith was with Mr. Trump at the time, and it was more than potentially just this,” he claimed.

Blanche responded with disbelief, saying he did not think a minute and 30 seconds was enough to discuss both topics.

“I believe I was telling the truth,” Cohen replied.

Reports from all sides of the political aisle indicated disbelief on this point, even at CNN, where a legal analyst described Cohen’s situation as “get[ting] his knees chopped out.”

Anderson Cooper even praised Blanche for his legal strategy.

“It was incredible… lawyers want to build a box around the witness and slam it shut–that’s what Todd Blanche did to Cohen,” he said. “It was an extraordinary cross. Cohen was cornered… in a lie.”

MSNBC’s Ari Melber and CNN’s Jake Tapper both admitted that Blanche cornered Cohen in a lie.

Why Did Witness-Coaching Rep. Dan Goldman Send $162K to This House in Va.?

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) In a move that is almost certain to trigger felony election-interference charges from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., has attempted to obfuscate $162,091.92 in payments to the digital advertising firm Authentic Campaigns during the 2024 election cycle by surreptitiously sending them to the private Richmond, Virginia, residence of company president Loren Merchan.

The bombshell discovery was first reported Friday by investigative journalist and activist Laura Loomer, who noted that Goldman’s filings to the Federal Election Commission also dropped the “s” at the end of the company name, further throwing any would-be sleuths off the trail of an open-records search.

Loomer’s discovery comes not long after Goldman boasted about having helped coach star prosecution witness Michael Cohen, whose testimony this week nonetheless unraveled on cross-examination as was widely expected.

Cohen, the ex-attorney of former President Donald Trump, made payments to porn-star Stormy Daniels and others during the 2016 campaign to keep negative publicity from sinking the tight race against Hillary Clinton. Those payments, although unseemly on their face, were not inherently illegal.

However, there are no indications that Cohen believed Daniels’s account of a decade-old sexual liaison with Trump in the early days of his marriage to Melania Trump, the future first lady.

During cross-examination, Trump’s attorneys also called into question whether Cohen fully consulted Trump on the payments, with accounts suggesting that what he claimed to be a brief phone call about Stormy Daniels might, in fact, have been about a 14-year-old boy who had been prank-calling him.

The case hinges on several factors that Bragg and his prosecutors have yet to establish—including the commission of a second—yet unknown—crime that would justify the upgrading of charges from state misdemeanors that had exceeded their statute of limitations to federal felonies.

Bragg and his team must also explain how Trump intended to deceive the public by listing the reimbursements to Cohen as “legal expenses” in his private ledgers, and how that constituted a falsification of business records since it was, in fact, an accurate explanation of the expenses.

All of these mitigating factors, of course, assume that there will not first be a public corruption scandal so great that the humiliation and pressure will force Merchan to declare a mistrial.

The judge, who himself made several small donations to Biden during the 2020 election, was not randomly selected but was deliberately chosen after his handling of a tax-fraud trial involving the Trump Organization.

Yet, even after his conflicts of interest—including his daughter’s political involvement—became widely known, he refused to recuse himself, instead putting a gag order on Trump that would prevent the presumptive GOP presidential nominee from discussing the judge’s family.

With Loren Merchan’s direct connection to the trial via Goldman now firmly established, it is no longer possible to ignore the appearance of impropriety.

Bragg, likewise, has several serious conflicts of interest. The George Soros-funded district attorney is one of many prosecutors who campaigned on a “Get Trump” platform.

Despite the fact that his predecessor and he both saw little compelling evidence to press forward with the trial against Trump, he yielded to the political pressure, effectively engaging in his own form of election interference while accusing Trump of doing just that.

Despite the parallel situation between Goldman’s attempted falsification of records and what Trump stands accused of, it is unlikely that Bragg would, in fact, file charges against the New York congressman, who appears to be colluding with the DA’s office in some capacity.

However, Headline USA reached out to Victoria LaCivita, the spokesperson for Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares (as well as the daughter of Trump campaign manager Chris LaCivita) to inquire whether the Republican attorney general was considering any investigations into Goldman or Authentic Campaigns for their nefarious practices.

Headline USA also reached out to Loren and Juan Merchan, staffers for Goldman’s office, Bragg and Cohen. We will update with any response.

ICE Blames Mayorkas Order for Hindering Deportation of Murder Suspect

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A federal immigration agency suggested on Friday that an order from DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas inherently blocked the removal proceedings of an illegal immigrant years before he would face murder charges in the death of a teen in Mobile County, Alabama.

The illegal alien in question, Antonio Antonio-Rodas, a Guatemalan national, is facing murder charges after allegedly driving his vehicle at 88 miles per hour before crashing into the vehicle of 19-year-old Adam Luker. The teen died a week after the crash.

ICE told the Daily Caller that Antonio-Rodas had not been deported, despite being convicted of a previous crime, because of Mayorkas’s directive to prioritize the removal of illegal immigrants with more severe crimes.

The Biden-led immigration agency said that Antonio-Rodas entered the U.S. unlawfully at an unknown date and location and was arrested on Dec. 27, 2018. At that time, Border Patrol served Antonio-Rodas with a Notice to Appear order.

He was subsequently released on Jan. 4, 2019.

Nearly three years after, in November 2021, Antonio-Rodas was arrested and convicted for driving under the influence.

Despite the conviction, ICE did not prioritize his deportation due to Mayorkas’s Sept. 30, 2021 directive, which instructed immigration officials to use “prosecutorial discretion” in deciding who should be removed from the U.S., the Caller reported.

ICE also cited the COVID-19 pandemic to excuse its failure to remove Antonio-Rodas, who would later allegedly go on to kill a 19-year-old.

An attorney for Luker’s family, Will Phillips, said that their beloved son would still be alive had Antonio-Rodas been removed from the U.S.

“If that had been the case, then this would have never happened,” he said. “You know, the federal government has access to all of the, you know, information about arrests and that kind of thing.”

The Semmes Police Department did not respond to Headline USA’s calls seeking information about when Antonio-Rodas is scheduled to appear before a judge.

Rep. Massie Gives David Hogg a Reading Lesson on the Federal Reserve

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The late Austrian economist Murray Rothbard once said, “It is no crime to be ignorant of economics … But it is totally irresponsible to have a loud and vociferous opinion on economic subjects while remaining in this state of ignorance.”

Apparently, Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg never got Rothbard’s memo. The fanatical anti-gun activist put his economic ignorance on full display Thursday when he reacted to new legislation from Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., to abolish the Federal Reserve.

“This is f—ing crazy. These people need to read a history book,” Hogg posted on Twitter.

It didn’t take long for Massie to respond with an actual history book about the origins of the Federal Reserve.

“Based on the ratio, I think Mr. Hogg needs to read a history book. Might I suggest The Creature from Jekyll Island?” Massie wrote on Twitter.

Hogg hasn’t responded to Massie’s reading suggestion. If he does pick up Massie’s recommended reading, Hogg will learn about how the Fed has enabled the U.S. government to get away with more than a century of reckless spending and endless war.

Massie’s legislation looks to put an end to the horrors described in The Creature from Jekyll Island.

“Americans are suffering under crippling inflation, and the Federal Reserve is to blame. During COVID, the Federal Reserve created trillions of dollars out of thin air and loaned it to the Treasury Department to enable unprecedented deficit spending. By monetizing the debt, the Federal Reserve devalued the dollar and enabled free money policies that caused the high inflation we see today,” Massie explained in a press release Thursday.

“Monetizing debt is a closely coordinated effort between the White House, Federal Reserve, Treasury Department, Congress, Big Banks, and Wall Street. Through this process, retirees see their savings evaporate due to the actions of a central bank pursuing inflationary policies that benefit the wealthy and connected,” he added.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., has joined the effort to end the Fed. She is a co-sponsor of Massie’s legislation, which would abolish the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve and the Federal Reserve banks. The bill would also repeal the Federal Reserve Act, the 1913 law that created the Federal Reserve System.

Additionally, Massie has introduced the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2023 to audit the Federal Reserve. That legislation was originally introduced by former Representative Ron Paul, R-Texas, in 2009.

None of Massie’s bills to abolish or audit the Fed have received hearings.

FBI Records Reveal Anthrax Attacks from Japan during WWII

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Newly discovered FBI records show that the bureau investigated possible biological attacks from Japan during World War II.

The documents were found by investigative journalist and biological warfare researcher Jeffrey Kaye.

According to Kaye, one report is from two months after the end of World War II, and it states that anthrax was discovered in Japanese balloons that came down in the U.S. Midwest. The other report was dated five years after the war, and it discusses outbreaks of bubonic plague that experts felt were linked to the Japanese balloon attacks, Kaye said.

The first report—a July 6, 1945 FBI memorandum addressed to the Chief of the FBI’s Domestic Intelligence Division, Daniel M. Ladd—states that “recently several Japanese balloons were found in [North and South Dakota, and Nebraska] which were determined to have been carrying bacteria.”

The bacteria were reportedly identified as anthrax. Kaye wrote that the pathogen was discovered in the hydrogen gas that inflated the massive paper-laminated balloons.

The second report—separate FBI memo, dated May 11, 1950, from none other than FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover—reveals that some of Japan’s balloons landed in New Mexico’s Sandia Mountains.

In his memo, Hoover highlighted warnings from Dr. Lincoln La Paz, then Head of the Department of Mathematics and Astronomy at the University of New Mexico, who apparently had determined that an outbreak of bubonic plague in New Mexico’s Sandia Mountains was related to the Japanese balloon landings.

“The report further described how the 1949 plague outbreak occurred ‘principally in the northern part of the province, precisely the area most heavily bombarded with [Japanese] paper balloons,’” Kaye noted.

“It is noteworthy that no other history or list of Japan’s balloon attacks has ever indicated that any balloons were sighted or landed in New Mexico, suggesting the New Mexico sightings were covered-up,” he wrote.

The biological attacks were suspected to be a part of Japan’s balloon attack campaign—code-named “Fu-Go”—which entailed Japan launching some 9,300 high-altitude balloons against the U.S. and Canada in late 1944 and early 1945.

“This new evidence significantly challenges our understanding of a little-known but important episode in World War II. If this new historical evidence holds up, it means that Japan, the United States, and Canada, have hidden evidence of a germ warfare attack against the North American mainland for nearly eighty years,” Kaye said of the newly discovered reports.

Kaye’s new info on Japan follows the FBI releasing its file on the Pearl Harbor attacks in December. As Headline USA reported in December, the FBI’s Pearl Harbor file shows that the bureau was monitoring phone calls between Hawaii and Japan ahead of the Dec. 7, 1941, attack.

The records, which remain heavily redacted more than 80 years after the fact, also show that the FBI investigated—but found no evidence of—subversive activities by Japanese people living in Hawaii before and after Pearl Harbor.
