Biden Enters ‘Debate Camp’ to at Least Have Chance Against Trump

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Joe Biden entered Camp David in Maryland on June 20, 2024, to begin a full week of preparing for his contest with Donald Trump so that he would even have the slightest chance of winning the upcoming presidential debate.

Biden’s team of advisers will use the secluded rural setting to prepare and coach the senile old man in the days before the June 27, 2024, debate hosted by CNN in Atlanta, Breitbart reported, with Ron Klain, Biden’s former chief of staff, leading the debate camp preparations at the retreat.

Cedric Richmond, a former White House aide and current campaign co-chair, and other senior campaign aides and longtime advisers will also be at the retreat.

On the other hand, Trump’s advisers, who are wary of using the words “debate prep” when it comes to Trump, have consistently downplayed the notion that Trump needs to be prepared for the debates, especially considering that his only opponent cannot leave a stage without other people’s assistance.

Trump’s team said that Trump will not be preparing ahead of the public showdown, the news source reported.

“President Trump takes on numerous tough interviews every single week and delivers lengthy rally speeches while standing, demonstrating elite stamina,” Trump senior adviser Jason Miller said.

It was also reported ahead of the debate in Atlanta that Trump plans to hold a campaign rally in Philadelphia, a city that Biden has visited several times this year to make sure that the far-left city voting for him would turn the swing state of Pennsylvania blue, just like it was in 2020.

The debate, moderated by CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, will run for approximately 90 minutes with two commercial breaks.

ABC News will host the second presidential debate, which will take place on Sept. 10, 2024.

The Biden campaign previously announced that Biden would debate Trump only in June and September, without live audiences present.

Trump’s New RNC Chair Outlines Plan to Prevent Vote-Fraud Repeat

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) CHARLOTTE, NC—It was an upbeat atmosphere Thursday afternoon in sunny downtown Charlotte as dozens of Republican election volunteers from all walks of life filed into a local restaurant to strategize for this November.

The North Carolinians have a reason to be upbeat: They’re widely held among Republicans as a model for election integrity in the 2020 and 2022 elections. And the 2024 election will be no different, said Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley, a North Carolina native—except this time, other key battleground states will use the same model, he added.

Whatley, who previously chaired the state Republican party, was invited to become one of the national co-chairs, alongside Lara Trump, when former President Donald Trump secured the party’s nomination earlier this year and opted to relieve longtime RNC head Ronna Romney McDaniel following several disastrous election cycles.

The newly consolidated organization shares a more unified mission with its de-facto leader, and at the top of that agenda is ensuring the widespread irregularities and violations of election protocol that fueled suspicions of a stolen election are stopped dead in their tracks.

That’s where Whatley comes in, after he succeeded in staving off the efforts of Democrat Gov. Roy Cooper and state Attorney General Josh Stein where many other battleground states failed.

“When I talked to the president, [he said,] ‘Alright Whatley, what’s the plan? How are we going to win this?’,” Whatley told the crowd on Thursday—recounting an anecdote that both he and Trump are fond of sharing.

“And I said, ‘Well sir, it really comes down to fundamentals: We can’t be all things to all people. We’re stripping the mission creep we’ve seen at the RNC in the last 30 years, and we’re focusing on two core functions: We’re going to get out the vote, and we’re going to protect the ballot.”

To that end, the crowd at Thursday’s gathering was there to train for the big Election Day—part of the “Protect the Vote Tour” that’s been going from state to state, training Republican volunteers across the country.

Whatley told Headline USA that the volunteers were being trained on how to spot cheating, and what to do if that happens.

“We need to be in the room,” he said. “That’s absolutely critical and that’s what we did in North Carolina in the 2022 election cycle, we had 11,000 volunteers that came through our training program.”

Perhaps just as importantly, Whatley said volunteers were being trained to respect poll workers and to contain their zeal, even if they think they see something suspicious.

“Everybody wants to know that we have sanctity in the ballot, and I think here in North Carolina we’re a lot better than most,” he said.

Joining Whatley on Thursday were several other notables from state and national politics, including Rep. Dan Bishop, who is currently running to replace Stein as state attorney general; former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi; and Jason Simmons, who replaced Whatley as the NCGOP chair.

Mother of Woman Assaulted, Killed by Illegal Blasts Biden Admin for ‘Political Statement’

(Headline USA) The mother of a Maryland woman murdered by an illegal immigrant last year blasted the Biden administration for not taking her daughter’s death seriously, the Daily Mail reported.

Rachel Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, was allegedly assaulted and murdered by Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, 23, in Harford County, Md.

Authorities this month arrested Martinez–Hernandez, an El Salvadoran gang member who crossed the southern border in February 2023, in connection with Morin’s murder.

He was already wanted for a previous killing in El Salvador and for assaulting a mother and young girl in a home invasion in Los Angeles.

Morin’s mother, Patty, revealed this week that no one in the Biden administration had bothered to contact her or anyone else in her family.

To make matters worse, Biden’s officials have refused to even identify Rachel Morin by name, Patty Morin said, referring to a CNN interview this week in which Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was asked about Morin’s killing.

“First and foremost of course our hearts break for the children, the loved ones and the friends of the individual who was murdered—the woman, the mother,” Mayorkas said.

Patty Morin responded: “It’s a completely political statement because they’re not even willing to acknowledge that she was a mother, a daughter. It totally depersonalizes her and makes her an object.”

The Morin family’s attorney, Randolph Rice, added that Mayorkas’s refusal to name Rachel proves just how “disconnected” they are “from what is happening at the southern border and how it is affecting Americans.”

He added, “They are hemorrhaging at the southern border and they’re arguing about what kind of bandaid to put on it when instead they should be putting a tourniquet on it and stopping this flow so that we don’t have another Rachel Morin.”

Patty Morin also revealed that former President Donald Trump reached out to her to offer his condolences for Rachel’s death.

“I am deeply touched by President Trump’s kindness and concern,” Patty said.

“He was genuine and truly wanted to know how our family was coping,” she continued.
“He asked about Rachel and showed honest compassion for her untimely death. His words brought comfort to me during this very difficult time.”

AOC Says Congress Should Disinvite ‘War Criminal’ Netanyahu

(Headline USA) Rep. Alexandria Ocasio–Cortez, D-N.Y., blasted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “war criminal” this week and argued Congress should disinvite him from addressing lawmakers next month.

House and Senate leaders invited Netanyahu to deliver a joint address on July 24 in a show of support for Israel’s continued military campaign in Gaza. But several Democrats, including Ocasio–Cortez, have protested the visit.

“This man should not be addressing Congress. He is a war criminal,” Ocasio–Cortez wrote on X. “And he certainly has no regard for US law, which is explicitly designed to prevent US weapons from facilitating human rights abuses. His invitation should be revoked. It should have never been sent in the first place.”

Earlier this month, Ocasio–Cortez claimed Netanyahu’s visit would be “counterproductive”—unless he wants to meet with Congress to announce a ceasefire against Hamas.

“I think it’s counterproductive right now for him to address Congress, particularly as we continue to try to nail down details on the cease-fire,” she said. “I certainly do not approve of it, potentially may not attend.”

Several other progressive Democrats have announced similar plans to boycott Netanyahu’s address.

“I don’t plan to attend, and I will plan to participate in whatever advocacy is being done to push for Netanyahu and Hamas to agree to a ceasefire,” said Rep. Greg Casar, D-Texas. “Instead of coming here, we need Netanyahu to stop bombing indiscriminately in Gaza and for him to respect the president’s red line of not having continued military operations in Rafah.”

Even Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., the former House whip, said he would boycott the address, citing Netanyahu’s past tensions with former President Barack Obama.

The progressives’ complaints reflect a growing fracture in the Democratic Party over the Gaza conflict—one that could jeopardize President Joe Biden’s standing in November’s election.

Perhaps in recognition of this, Biden himself has become more vocal of Netanyahu publicly, demanding that Israel pull out of Rafah and threatening to withhold further military aid if the Jewish state refuses.

As of May 2024, as many as 120 hostages were being held by Hamas. The Wall Street Journal reported that as few as 50 hostages were estimated to still be alive, citing U.S. officials.

Judges’ Botched Bid to Remove Cannon from Trump Case Exposed

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Two federal judges attempted but failed to bully Judge Aileen Cannon into stepping down from the Mar-a-Lago case against former President Donald Trump.

After Cannon resisted, details of their odd efforts were leaked to the leftist New York Times.

Cannon, a Trump appointee, has recently challenged some of the actions taken by Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is leading the investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents.

According to the Times, one of the judges who tried to push Cannon out was Cecilia María Altonaga, the chief judge for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

The second judge’s identity remains undisclosed.

This leak comes amid a broader smear campaign by the Democratic Party and leftist media outlets against Cannon.

Unlike other judges handling Trump-related cases, Cannon has been willing to challenge some of the prosecutor’s claims against Trump.

Despite the Times‘s negative portrayal, the outlet acknowledged that Cannon was under no obligation to relinquish the case, which was randomly assigned to her.

Sources claimed that the unidentified judge called Cannon, advising that the case be transferred to a busier courthouse in Miami.

When this failed, Altonaga contacted Cannon, arguing that it would look bad for her to continue after the Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit overturned her appointment of a special master to review the classified documents.

Conservatives took to social media to praise Cannon for standing her ground and criticized the leftist media for their continued attacks on her integrity, particularly as they have ignored the acts of the Democrat judges presiding over the other Trump cases:

Michigan Dems Change Election Laws to Prevent Fraud Detection, Challenges

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) GOP lawmakers and election-integrity watchdogs were sounding the alarm after Michigan Democrats passed a series of laws that will prevent vote fraud from being easily detected or challenged in future elections, the Michigan Advance reported.

Republicans in the state outlined some of the Left’s more egregious moves from the past two years at an event in Lansing on Wednesday.

For instance, SBs 603 and 604, which currently await the signature of far-left Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, would make it more difficult and expensive to request recounts and would restrict county election canvassers from initiating investigations into vote fraud.

Furthermore, Democrats passed the Michigan Voting Rights Act in 2023, a law which forces all local governments to help minority groups vote—including those who do not speak English and potentially even illegal immigrants.

In light of these radical changes, GOP state Sen. Jonathan Lindsey said Democrats were steadily codifying “the ability to manipulate elections in the law.”

“We’ve heard it said over and over, ‘The 2020 election was the most secure election in American history’—and this is crazy,” Lindsey said. “I think anytime you open the door and leave a possibility for people to cheat, especially in important things, some subset of people are going to do that.”

According to GOP state Sen. James Runestad, the bill goes far beyond federal standards in making it difficult to investigate elections.

He called the Democrats’ actions “a disgusting gutting of our election recount protections” and “a complete disgrace.”

Runestad also insisted that and would make life for county clerks even more challenging.

“It is so draconian,” Runestad said.

“It is all kinds of things where the clerks could be sued if they don’t get equal outcomes for different groups and voting patterns,” he added. “So this is the kind of thing that we’re dealing with in the Legislature.”

George Soros-funded leftist Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, however, maintained it was essential for Democrats to “fortify” democracy against the threat within—that is, against half of the American population.

“We always hope for the best and plan for every contingency,” Benson said, noting that she would “never underestimate how far or how low people would go to interfere with this basic element of American democracy.”

Hunter Biden Could Lose DC Law License Because of Felony Convictions

(Headline USA) It looks like Hunter Biden’s law license in Washington, D.C. is in jeopardy due to his recent felony convictions.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel filed a “notice of discipline” with the D.C. Court of Appeals this week asking the court to ensure that Hunter Biden “is suspended immediately from the practice of law in the District of Columbia.”

The D.C. bar prohibits anyone convicted of a felony, which it classifies as a “serious crime” from holding or using a law license — “notwithstanding the pendency of an appeal.”

Hunter Biden was found guilty of three felony gun charges earlier this month. The charges included making a false statement in the purchase of a gun, making a false statement related to information required to be kept by a federally licensed gun dealer, and possession of a gun by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance. He faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.

He is currently still listed by the D.C. bar as an “active” member in “good standing,” though he has never actively practiced law in D.C. He did, however, hold an “of counsel” position at the Democratic law firm Boies Schiller Flexner LLP when his father, President Joe Biden, was vice president.

The President’s son faces additional felony charges in a separate case against him for alleged tax fraud, which will go to trial in September.

According to legal scholar Jonathan Turley, the potential sentencing in Hunter’s tax case is “far more serious.”

“It was insane for Hunter not to plead guilty [in the gun case] to increase the chances that he might avoid a prison sentence. That is doubly true with the California [tax fraud] charges,” Turley argued.

Hunter’s lawyer Abbe Lowell said in a statement they would “vigorously pursue all the legal challenges available to Hunter.”

Whistleblower Exposes How Corrupt Obama Admin. Supposedly Stayed ‘Scandal-Free’

(Headline USA) Former Secretary of State John Kerry used a pseudonymous email account while working for the Obama administration, just like former Vice President Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to a new whistleblower report.

Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., revealed that Kerry frequently used the private email alias “[email protected]” in violation of federal record-keeping laws, as well as likely circumventing Freedom of Information Act requests.

One example cited by the whistleblower was a 2016 email exchange between the address and Victoria Nuland, the assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, which showed Nuland calling the recipient “Boss.”

Kerry’s tenure at the State Department notably overlapped with Hunter Biden’s stint as a board member of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma—a matter that Grassley and Johnson previously investigated. The probe also implicated Kerry’s own stepson, Chris Heinz, a partner of Hunter’s in the Rosemont Seneca lawfirm.

It was not immediately clear if the recent bombshell came in connection with the GOP senators’ oversight concerning the Burisma scandal, although prior analyses of Hunter Biden’s laptop revealed Joe Biden’s use of multiple fake email aliases, including “Robin Ware,” which he used to secretly monitor the exchanges with his son’s business partners.

In a letter to current Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Grassley and Johnson asked the department to confirm whether Kerry “properly complied with all federal records laws and regulations with respect to his official email communications.”

They also noted that the use of private emails and pseudonyms appeared to be a frequent pattern of behavior in the Obama administration. In addition to Biden and Kerry, Clinton notoriously rerouted her email to private, unsecured server that she maintained possession of at her home.

The server, which revealed several emails with classified markings, despite Clinton’s efforts to destroy the evidence, was believed to have been compromised by the Chinese.

The collective disregard by these top officials for federal recordkeeping law undermines former President Barack Obama’s claim that his administration had been completely scandal-free, while it also offers some explanation for how the administration was create the illusion of good government through its unprecedented dishonesty.

“We didn’t have a scandal that embarrassed us,” Obama said in 2018 according to CNN. “I know that seems like a low bar. General speaking, you didn’t hear about a lot of drama inside our White House.”

As the whistleblower’s latest revelations suggest, much of the Obama administration’s internal drama was likely hidden from public scrutiny, and the shockingly brazen efforts to conceal information from the public have themselves become one of the biggest scandals.

Nonetheless, several controversies did spill out into the public, as when four Americans were killed in Benghazi, Libya, due to Clinton’s “systematic failures and leadership and management deficiencies,” according to an independent accountability board.

Former CNN Analyst Admits the Network’s Debate Rules Help Biden

(Headline USA) Former CNN analyst Chris Cilizza admitted Monday that the network’s rules for next week’s presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump only benefit Biden, the Daily Caller reported.

CNN announced the finalized rules for the June 27 debate on Saturday. They include muted microphones, commercial breaks, no live audience, no opening statements and no use of pre-written notes.

Though the last rule might hinder Biden, who has become heavily dependent on his note cards and cheat sheets during public events, the rest will only help him, according to Cilizza.

“From a ‘Who does this benefit?’ perspective, it clearly benefits Biden,” he said.

The leftist then sheepishly sought to justify the rigged rules by suggesting that without them Biden would have no opportunity to speek. In fairness, both candidates bickered over top of each other in one of the 2020 debates, while Trump was stricken with COVID-19 in the other and offered a substandard performance.

“If you go back and look at the debates they had— they had two in 2020 between Biden and Trump—Trump just talks and talks and talks and talks, and that’s true in 2016, too,” Cilizza claimed. “I do think it helps Biden, because I think Trump just tries to get you off your pace, off your rhythm, off your game just by talking and talking and talking.”

CNN’s two commercial breaks could also help Biden, Cilizza noted, though the network has said neither candidate will be allowed to meet with their campaign staff during the breaks.

“This probably benefits Biden a little bit just because he gets a little time to regroup,” Cillizza admitted. “I do think he struggles more with these live performance kind-of-things than does Trump. I think he benefits from a little breather within.”

The lack of an in-studio audience is the biggest win for Biden, according to Cilizza, because Trump thrives on the energy of a crowd.

Ultimately, Cilizza said he was “surprised” Trump’s team agreed to the terms of the debate.

For his part, however, Trump said he was willing to debate Biden however and whenever the Democratic candidate wants.

“It is important for the Good of our Country, that Joe Biden and I Debate issues that are so vital to American, and the American people,” Trump wrote on Truth Social last month. “Therefore, I am calling for Debates, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE!”

Democrat Lawmaker Seeks to Criminalize Flying American Flag Upside Down

(Catrina Peterson, The Center Square) A Republican lawmaker and retired Air Force veteran in Illinois slammed state Democrats for introducing legislation to ban government officials from knowingly flying an upside-down flag on government property.

“Even as a veteran, I don’t lose my cool,” said state Rep. David Friess.

” … I understand that one of the greatest freedoms we have is free speech,” he added. “And I may not agree with an individual if he or she flies the flag upside down, but I absolutely respect your right to do that.”

State Rep. Harry Benton, a Democrat, drafted the legislation in response to what he claimed were politically motivated efforts that disrespected the American flag.

“The flag of the United States is an enduring symbol of our national spirit and pride, and of the sacrifices made by every generation of Americans,” he said.

Benton’s House Bill 5860 would make it a crime for a government official to knowingly cause the national flag to be displayed upside down on government property. He also filed House Bill 5861, which makes it punishable by a fine of up to $25,000.

Both bills could advance during the fall veto session in November.

Benton said he was inspired to draft the legislation by local incident in which a Will County official flew the American flag upside-down after former President Donald Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business documents.

“The public official who made this sad choice—to disrespect our nation’s flag and everything it stands for—may be disappointed in the outcome of a certain criminal trial, but that is no excuse,” claimed Benton. “That he then attempted to deflect rising outrage by draping himself in the very same flag he’d just finished spitting on makes his actions all the more pathetic.”

County Supervisor Steve Balich reportedly ordered the national flag outside the Homer Township offices to be flown upside down after the presumptive GOP presidential nominee’s conviction by a Manhattan jury in the case.

Many—including Friess—saw the verdict as a miscarriage of justice and a blatant attempt by leftist, George Soros-backed District Attorney Alvin Bragg to interfere in the 2024 election.

“You have a former president prosecuted. And I firmly believe that the only reason he was prosecuted is because he’s running for president again,” Friess said. “Had he not thrown his hat in the ring for 2024 … they would not have prosecuted him, no doubt in my mind.”

Other conservatives have appropriated the upside-down flag predominantly as a protest symbol after leftists attempted to turn an incident involving Martha-Ann Alito, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, into a media smear attack as part of a well-funded campaign to discredit the high court and eradicate its conservative majority.

But in a classic example of the so-called Streisand Effect, those efforts to stigmatize the Alitos have failed, with supporters on the Right now embracing the upside-down flag as the ultimate symbol of patriotism, representing a nation under attack or in a state of severe distress.

Benton said in a news release that both of his bills, House Bill 5860 and House Bill 5861, clarify that the flag may only be flown upside down in situations where there is dire distress or extreme danger to life or property, the purpose for which such display is prescribed in the U.S. Flag Code.

Some, however, have pointed out the irony over the fact that leftists have no issue celebrating far more egregious examples of flag-desecration—even flying the flags of terrorists and enemy combatants as symbols of protests—that are protected by the First Amendment’s right to free speech.

Friess said when he saw House Bill 5861 making the offense of flying a flag upside down punishable by a fine of up to $25,000, he laughed out loud.

“This comes at a time when the Democrat party is doing everything they can to decriminalize any and all behavior,” he noted.

“Anytime there’s a penalty enhancement, their hair catches on fire,” he added. “So, you’re going to fine somebody $25,000 for an expression of what I would think would be covered by the First Amendment,” said Friess.

Although he doesn’t think the bills will go anywhere, he said he hopes Benton will couple the legislation with a measure prohibiting the burning of flags at Black Lives Matter or pro-Hamas protests.

“I would love to see him put out a bill that you can’t burn a flag during a pro-Hamas rally, a pro-Palestinian rally or BLM rally,” he said.
