Leftist ‘Fact-Checker’ Admits: Trump Never Called Neo-Nazis ‘Very Fine People’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A self-proclaimed leftist “fact-checker” site has delivered some harsh truths about then-President Donald Trump’s 2017 speech regarding the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Snopes acknowledged that Trump never called neo-Nazis and white supremacists “very fine people,” debunking a long-standing assertion by the Democratic Party and President Joe Biden.

“In a news conference after the rally protesting the planned removal of a Confederate statue, Trump did say there were ‘very fine people on both sides,’ referring to the protesters and the counterprotesters,” Snopes wrote in a fact-check published on Thursday.

“He said in the same statement he wasn’t talking about neo-Nazis and white nationalists, who he said should be ‘condemned totally,’” Snopes added, referring to Trump.

It’s unclear why Snopes took seven years to correct the record.

As a candidate, Biden cited the false assertion that Trump referred to neo-Nazis as “very fine people” as a reason for running for president.

In his 2020 campaign announcement video, Biden falsely claimed, “The President of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it. And in that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any I’d ever seen in my lifetime.”

Several conservatives reacted forcefully to the Snopes fact-check on Twitter, expressing their views on the belated correction:

SHOCK: Border Czar’s Ex-Spokeswoman Refuses to Use ‘Illegal Aliens’ on MSNBC

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The former spokesperson for America’s border czar, Kamala Harris, revealed why the Biden administration had such difficulty uncovering the “root causes” of illegal immigration—since she refused to even use the term “illegal” in reference to the aliens flooding across Biden’s open border.

The awkward exchange with Kevin Roberts, the president of the conservative Heritage Foundation, underscored the notion that Harris, who is one heartbeat away from the presidency, had refused to take her top assignment seriously, with the results now evident.

On Tuesday, Roberts appeared on MSNBC’s The Weekend with Symone Sanders–Townsend, Harris’s former chief spokeswoman. The conservative leader discussed Project 2025 and the immigration policies of a potential second Trump administration.

Roberts drove the MSNBC panel into a frenzy when he exposed the harsh realities of the deadly policies of the  Biden–Harris regime, forcing the MSNBC host to defend illegal aliens accused of murdering American citizens.

“We don’t like that… we don’t use the term illegal. Undocumented individuals,” Sanders–Townsend cynically interjected as Roberts and guest Michael Steele, the leftist former chair of the Republican National Committee, discussed the horrific crimes committed by illegal aliens.

In response, Roberts sharply retorted, “That’s sweet. They are illegal aliens.”

Sanders-Townsend, known for her dramatic reactions, turned toward Roberts. “You’re weaponizing an horrific murder to smear 11 million people and that’s what unfortunate,” the insufferable MSNBC host continued.

“That’s a laughable assertion. What Joe Biden is doing is weaponizing the entire government,’ Roberts shot back.

Unable to handle the hard truth about Biden’s illegal immigration policies, Sanders-Townsend loudly responded, “Before we let you go, Dr. Roberts. I want to ask you about abortion because it is an issue that is on top of mind for folks all over the country.”

Earlier in the interview, when asked whether the immigration plan involved going “door to door,” Roberts responded, “There’s going to be a lot of self-deportation. Secondly, there are great plans using the Department of Homeland Security to return these people back to south of the border.”

He continued, “A lot of them are committing crimes, like murdering the 12-year-old girl in Houston.” He referred to Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old brutally strangled by two illegal aliens from Venezuela, according to law enforcement.

Obama Operatives Devised Plan to Label Trump Supporters as Terrorists

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Newly uncovered documents reveal a disturbing strategy by the Biden administration to classify former President Donald Trump’s supporters, military personnel and religious individuals as potential domestic terrorist threats.

America First Legal (AFL) obtained these documents through a Freedom of Information Request, exposing the operations of the now-defunct Homeland Intelligence Experts Group, a DHS advisory board.

This group, launched in September 2023, included figures like former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and ex-CIA Director John Brennan—both infamous for their partisan attacks on Trump and his supporters.

The documents detail recommendations from the board urging DHS to categorize individuals based on criteria such as “in the military” and “religious,” flagging them for potential extremism.

One document ominously suggests heightened concern for these groups. “We need the space to talk about it honestly,” it claimed.

“It seems that most of the Domestic Terrorism threat now comes from supporters of the former president,” the document read, acknowledging the political nature of the targeting. “It is not like you want a political advantage, but people have attacked the government and its institutions for the last six years.”

Responding to these revelations, AFL Executive Director Gene Hamilton condemned the board’s “unabashed partisanship” in the “Deep State” committee.

“All efforts to weaponize the federal government against political opponents of the ruling regime should be stopped,” Hamilton told Fox News on Saturday, the outlet to first report on the findings. “We look forward to exposing more records in the coming days.”

This would not mark the first time the Biden administration has targeted conservatives, Republicans and Christians as potential dangers to the nation.

This is not an isolated incident.

In May 2023, documents released by the Media Research Center exposed how the Biden administration exploited the Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program to vilify conservatives, Republicans and Christians.

One grant application from the University of Dayton equated conservative organizations with hate groups and Neo-Nazis—a clear attempt to demonize ideological opponents.

‘What Constitutes a Border Crisis?’ Sanctuary Cities Finding Out

(Tom Gantert, The Center Square) In March 2021, the Los Angeles Times published a story with a headline that asked, “What constitutes a border crisis?”

The story quoted then House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy as saying, “There is no other way to claim it than a Biden border crisis.”

Then the LA Times asked, “But is it a crisis?”

Just a month later in April 2021, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio released a statement about his city being a sanctuary city.

“New York City is proud to be a welcoming and inclusive city for immigrants,” de Blasio said at the time.

The debate in the U.S. on illegal immigrants took off in April 2022 when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott decided to take a stand against President Joe Biden and what Abbott called an open border policy.

Abbott said that Texas border towns were being overrun by migrants and were overwhelmed. His solution was to bus many of the arriving migrants to sanctuary cities across the U.S.

In August 2022, when the first bus of migrants leaving Texas arrived in New York, Abbott was clear why he had his state paid for the trip. New York had a new mayor by then.

“New York City is the ideal destination for these migrants, who can receive the abundance of city services and housing that Mayor Eric Adams has boasted about within the sanctuary city,” Abbott in a news release. “I hope he follows through on his promise of welcoming all migrants with open arms so that our overrun and overwhelmed border towns can find relief.”

And just over a year later, New York Gov. Kathleen Hochul was on in September 2023 pleading with immigrants to “go somewhere else.”

How it has played out was not lost on liberal comedian Bill Maher.

“Could everyone just stop the posturing?” Maher said on a July 2023 podcast with Sharon Osbourne. “Don’t pretend that you love migrants so much and then when we send them to you, you don’t like them. You know? You’re full of [expletive]. And we can see that. Yeah, you liked them when it wasn’t your problem because you’re not a border state. And then when they show up in Chicago and New York, you’re like ‘What the [expletive] are we going to do with these people?’”

New York wasn’t the only destination for Abbott’s buses. He also targeted other sanctuary cities, such as Washington, D.C, Chicago and Denver.

The New York Times published an article in July 2023 that had a headline that asked, “Is Texas’ Busing Responsible for the Migrant Crisis Across Cities?”

On June 14, Abbott’s office stated that it had bused 119,200 migrants to six sanctuary cities since August 2022. That included 45,700 migrants to New York City and 36,900 migrants to Chicago since August 2022. There were also 19,200 migrants bused to Denver since May 2023 and 12,500 migrants bused to Washington D.C. since April 2022.

But Abbott wasn’t alone in busing migrants from the border to locations throughout the country. The Democratic-run city of El Paso also bused migrants north.

Democratic Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs stated in September 2023 that Arizona was “overwhelmed” by the flow of migrants into her state. Arizona spent $10.5 million transporting 10,247 migrants out of state as of September 2023.

That’s just part of a bigger surge of migrants into the U.S. Since Biden took office in January 2021, about 12 million illegal border crossings have been documented, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data and a compilation of “gotaway” data obtained from border agents by The Center Square. Gotaways is the official CBP term to describe those who illegally crossed the border between ports of entry but who were not apprehended. CBP does not publicly release “gotaway” data.

The increase in migrants has hammered the budgets of sanctuary cities.

Washington, D.C. created an Office of Migrant Services with an initial start-up cost of $10 million in 2022. In 2025, the city budgeted $39 million for that office.

Chicago has spent $299 million on migrants since 2022, according to a March 2024 report by the Illinois Policy Institute, and that does not include the hundreds of millions of dollars state taxpayers have paid for costs such as migrant health care.

New York City Mayor Adams said in August 2023 the migrant crisis may cost his city $12 billion over three years.

The city of Denver stated in April 2024 that the increase in migrants has cost it $63 million.

The cost to taxpayers in the state of Texas was $13.4 billion in 2023, according to the Federation For American Immigration Reform. Only California had a higher cost at $30.9 billion.

Ira Mehlman, spokesman for the Federation For American Immigration Reform, said Abbott’s busing strategy has worked.

“His busing policy exposed the hypocrisy of many sanctuary jurisdiction politicians who extolled the virtues of mass immigration regardless of its legality, but are not so happy when they actually have to deal with the real impact of large numbers of migrants,” Mehlman said in an email to The Center Square. “So long as it was someone else’s problem, they were happy to virtue signal and criticize others. Once it became their problem, they demanded that Abbott and others stop sending them migrants. For years, these sanctuary proponents claimed that illegal aliens were a benefit to the country, but are now demanding federal assistance to manage to cover their costs, exposing the fact that illegal immigration imposes huge fiscal costs.”

Trump Endorses 10 Commandments in School, Begs Christians to Vote

(Headline USA) Donald Trump told a group of evangelicals they “cannot afford to sit on the sidelines” of the 2024 election, imploring them at one point to “go and vote, Christians, please!”

Trump also endorsed displaying the Ten Commandments in schools and elsewhere while speaking to a group of politically influential evangelical Christians in Washington on Saturday. He drew cheers as he invoked a new law signed in Louisiana this week requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom.

“Has anyone read the ‘Thou shalt not steal’? I mean, has anybody read this incredible stuff? It’s just incredible,” Trump said at the gathering of the Faith & Freedom Coalition. “They don’t want it to go up. It’s a crazy world.’’

Trump a day earlier posted an endorsement of the new law on his social media network, saying: “I LOVE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, PRIVATE SCHOOLS, AND MANY OTHER PLACES, FOR THAT MATTER. READ IT — HOW CAN WE, AS A NATION, GO WRONG???”

The former president and presumptive Republican presidential nominee backed the move as he seeks to galvanize his supporters on the religious right, which has fiercely backed him.

While many members of the movement would like to see him do more to restrict abortion, they cheer him as the greatest champion for the cause because of his role in appointing U.S. Supreme Court justices who overturned national abortion rights in 2022.

Trump highlighted that Saturday, saying, “We did something that was amazing,” but the issue would be left to people to decide in the states.

“Every voter has to go with your heart and do what’s right, but we also have to get elected,” he said.

According to AP VoteCast, a wide-ranging survey of the electorate, about 8 in 10 white evangelical Christian voters supported Trump in 2020, and nearly 4 in 10 Trump voters identified as white evangelical Christians. White evangelical Christians made up about 20% of the overall electorate that year.

Beyond just offering their own support in the general election, the Faith & Freedom Coalition plans to help get out the vote for Trump and other Republicans, aiming to use volunteers and paid workers to knock on millions of doors in battleground states.

Trump also rallied voters in Philadelphia on Saturday with a speech heavily focused on violent crime, telling supporters at an arena that he would grant police officers immunity from prosecution.

“Under Crooked Joe, the City of Brotherly Love is being ravaged by bloodshed and crime,” he said. “We will surge federal law enforcement resources to the places that need them most.”

Tyler Cecconi, 25, of Richmond, Virginia, said he was glad that Trump is stepping out of his comfort zone and going to places that may not be red. At the venue, a digital banner read “Philadelphia is Trump Country.”

“He’s showing the people that regardless if you vote for him or not, or if it’s a blue county or a red county, it doesn’t matter to him,” Cecconi said. “A president is for everybody in this country.”

The GOP Senate candidate of Pennsylvania, Dave McCormick, attended the rally and appeared on stage to talk to voters about the economy and immigration.

Illegal Border Crossings at Northern Border Continue to Break Records

(Bethany Blankley, The Center Square) Illegal border crossings at the northern border continue to break records, according to the latest data released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

A record-breaking 18,644, were apprehended illegally entering the U.S. at the northern border in May, the highest total for the month of May in recorded history.

The northern border has seen the highest number of illegal entries in U.S. history under the Biden administration, The Center Square has reported.

In the first eight months of fiscal 2024, more than 99,000 were apprehended after illegally entering through the northern border, according to CBP data. If the current trajectory continues, the numbers are on track to surpass fiscal 2023 apprehensions of 147,666.

Those numbers are up from 92,737 apprehensions in fiscal 2022 and 24,895 in fiscal 2021.

CBP’s fiscal year begins Oct. 1.

The data excluded “gotaways,” the official term used by CBP to describe foreign nationals who illegally enter the U.S. between ports of entry and don’t return to Mexico or Canada. CBP does not publicly report this data. The Center Square first began obtaining it from a Border Patrol agent on condition of anonymity to provide a more accurate picture of monthly apprehension data.

The busiest sector at the northern border is the Swanton Sector, which includes all of Vermont, six upstate New York counties and three New Hampshire counties.

The sector spans 295 miles of international boundary with the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario and is the first international land boundary east of the Great Lakes.

In fiscal 2023, Swanton Sector Border Patrol agents broke previous records by apprehending the greatest number of illegal border crossers in history of more than 6,700 foreign nationals from 76 countries, The Center Square exclusively reported.

They continue to break records.

“In less than 9 months, Swanton Sector Border Patrol Agents have apprehended more than 10,000 subjects from 83 countries,” Chief Border Patrol Agent Robert Garcia said. The total so far this fiscal year, as of June 10, was more than the sector’s entire record-setting fiscal 2023 year, he said. “We continue to see an unprecedented increase of illegal entries across eastern New York and Vermont.”

This is after northern border apprehensions reached their highest level in U.S. history in the first six months of fiscal 2024, with Swanton Sector agents apprehending in one week more than they did in fiscal 2021, The Center Square reported.

Border Patrol agents at the northern border are also apprehending the greatest number of known or suspected terrorists (KSTs), according to CBP data. In the first six months of fiscal 2024, they apprehended 143 KSTs, The Center Square reported, including an Iranian with terrorist ties.

That number is now up to 199, according to CBP data as of June 20. By comparison, 117 KSTs were apprehended at the southwest border over the same time period.

The U.S.-Canada border is the longest international border in the world of 5,525 miles. Unlike the U.S.-Mexico border, there are no border walls or similar barriers separating the U.S. from Canada and most of the northern border is unmanned and unpatrolled.

Numerous reports indicate that lack of operational control at the northern border poses a serious national security threat, The Center Square first reported.

“The northern border is under-resourced by far compared to the southwest border,” former Border Patrol chief Mark Morgan told The Center Square. “But at the same time, it still represents significant threats. Cartels are expanding their operations, flying people into Canada, which doesn’t require a visa, presenting an opportunity for terrorist watch-listed individuals to exploit. It’s much easier to get to Canada to come across.”

The Swanton Sector is currently hiring, Garcia says, offering up to $30,000 in incentives for new recruits, up from $20,000 hiring incentives offered in February.

Garcia also emphasizes how the local community plays a vital role supporting Border Patrol efforts. “Agents rely on the vigilance of our community,” he said. “Swanton Sector received more than 1,000 suspicious activity reports in 2023 and we are grateful for every call. We cannot effectively do our job without assistance from the public.”

As record numbers continue to pour through the northern border, he’s appealing to the public, saying, “We need your help now more than ever. YOUR call matters! 1-800-689-3362.”

Cop Shot During Traffic Stop

(Headline USA) A Philadelphia police officer was shot in the neck and was in critical condition Saturday night, officials said.

The 31-year-old officer was in critical condition and undergoing surgery at Temple University Hospital, Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel said during a news conference outside the hospital.

The officer, a veteran of more than six years on the force, and his partner stopped a car with four people inside shortly before 8 p.m.

The officers saw a person with a gun holster and the suspect fled, firing three times at the officers, Bethel said.

The wounded officer’s partner returned fire, but it was not immediately clear if the officer who was shot fired his weapon.

The shooting suspect and all the people who were in the car are in custody and are considered “persons of interest” at this time, Bethel said.

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker asked residents to pray for the officer, whose name was not released.

“He didn’t expect that he would be in a fight for his life,” Parker said.

Garland Runs in Desperation as Luna Threatens ‘Inherent Contempt’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Attorney General Merrick Garland could face arrest by the House Sergeant at Arms after refusing to hand over potentially incriminating audio of President Joe Biden’s deposition.

This potential arrest has led Garland to reach out to Republicans to thwart the “inherent contempt” push led by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla.

The DOJ recently refused to prosecute Garland on contempt of Congress charges passed by the House last week.

On Friday, Fox News reporter Chad Pergram tweeted that Garland “has reached out to moderate Republicans, pushing them to reject inherent contempt.”

In response, Luna scolded Garland for believing he is “above the law,” labeling his calls to Republicans as “the very definition of corruption.”

In a press statement, Luna said, “He believes he is above the law and can tell elected members of Congress what to do. My message to Garland is straightforward: release the tapes to Congress and let us listen to them.”

Inherent contempt is a tool that allows the House sergeant at arms to arrest individuals for violations of congressional proceedings, such as contempt, obstruction of justice or disobedience of a court order.

The dispute centers on audio of Biden’s deposition with Special Counsel Robert Hur, who investigated Biden’s mishandling of classified documents from his time as vice president.

House Republicans are seeking the audio’s release after Hur declined to file criminal charges against Biden, citing his age and incoherent thoughts during the deposition.

According to Hur, a jury would likely sympathize with the 81-year-old president and refuse to convict him.

Republicans argue that the audio would provide insight into Biden’s thinking and help determine his fitness to govern.

Despite public interest and subpoenas, the DOJ advised Biden to invoke executive privilege to block the release of the audio.

As a result, Republicans voted to hold Garland in contempt of Congress—charges the DOJ refused to prosecute.

“Why is Merrick Garland fighting so hard to keep these tapes hidden? What is on those tapes that is making him act in a criminal manner to protect Joe Biden?” Luna asked in her press release.

“Any other American would be in jail for what he is doing. This blatant abuse of power must be stopped. The American people deserve integrity in our institutions, not political corruption,” Luna added.

Andrew Cuomo: Trump’s Last Name Is Reason for These Criminal Charges

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo criticized Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, suggesting that the case against former President Donald Trump is politically motivated.

Cuomo made these remarks during a Friday interview on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, specifically calling out Bragg’s pursuit of Trump over business payments.

“The attorney general’s case in New York, frankly, should have never been brought,” Cuomo asserted, seemingly confusing Bragg’s role.

“And if his name was not Donald Trump and if he wasn’t running for president… I’m the former AG of in New York [and] I’m telling you that case would’ve never been brought,” he added.

Cuomo emphasized the political implications, stating, “That’s what is offensive to people, and it should be because if there’s anything left, it’s belief in the justice system.”

Cuomo’s comments came in response to Maher highlighting the over $50 million Trump’s campaign received following his conviction, mostly from small-dollar donors, including 30% new GOP donors.

Earlier this month, a Manhattan jury found Trump guilty on charges related to business records, led by Bragg, a radical Democrat prosecutor with ties to George Soros who campaigned on exploiting the justice system to go after Trump.

Even residents of leftist New Yorker have asserted that justice system, Cuomo affirmed during the Real Time interview, citing a survey where 66% of New Yorkers believe politicians exploit the system. Headline USA couldn’t immediately verify the poll.

“You want to talk about a threat to democracy,” Cuomo warned, “when you have this country believing you’re playing politics with the justice system, and you’re trying to put people in jail or convict them for political reasons, then we have a real problem.”

Cuomo’s critique echoes that of Judy Sheindlin, known as reality TV star Judge Judy, who previously rebuked Bragg for prioritizing Trump over addressing real crime in New York City.

“You gotta twist yourself into a pretzel to figure out what the crime was. [Bragg] doesn’t like him. New York City didn’t like him for a while,” Sheindlin said during an interview with CNN.

“I would be happier, as someone who owns property in Manhattan, if the district attorney of New York County would take care of criminals who were making it impossible for citizens to walk in the streets and use the subway,” she added.

Cannon Presses Smith over Biden Ties, Leaving Him Scrambling

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Special Counsel Jack Smith found himself under intense scrutiny as U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon pressed him on his ties to Attorney General Merrick Garland, triggering evasive responses from Smith’s team.

During a Friday hearing, Cannon posed pointed questions about Garland’s influence in the Justice Department’s aggressive stance against Trump and his supporters, according to Politico.

The inquiries reportedly caught Smith’s prosecutors off guard, with James Pearce, Smith’s deputy, claiming he was “not authorized” to provide detailed answers.

Tellingly, Pearce claimed, “I don’t want to make it seem like I’m hiding something.”

Cannon’s interrogation followed a lengthy five-hour session centered on Trump’s efforts to dismiss charges against him, Politico reported.

Critics, including Trump and legal experts, argue that Smith’s appointment as special counsel is unconstitutional, asserting that only Senate-confirmed former officials can hold such roles.

Smith previously served as acting U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee in 2017, assuming the position after U.S. Attorney David Rivera’s resignation.

His acting position did not require Senate confirmation, leading legal scholars to question his authority to prosecute Trump.

Cannon’s probing into Smith’s ties with Garland coincides with growing criticism against the Biden administration is using the Justice Department to target political opponents.

Unlike her counterparts overseeing similar cases, Cannon has been vocal in challenging Smith’s legal maneuvers, questioning the justification behind some of his stringent filings.
