Young Fan in Trump Costume Meets His Hero President at Philly Rally

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump had a touching encounter with a young fan dressed like him at a large Saturday rally in Philadelphia, Pa.

A video captured the heartwarming moment, showing a child adorned in a symbolic Trump suit, complete with a red tie, a pro-MAGA hat and a blond wig.

The rally occurred at Temple University, where Trump aimed to win over black and Hispanic voters in the key swing state of Pennsylvania in the 2024 presidential election.

In the video, shared by Trump campaign spokesperson Margo Martin, Trump is seen addressing the child and another man, seemingly the child’s father.

“Look at him!” Trump exclaimed, noticing the young fan with tears streaming down his face.

The former president pulled out a $20 bill and showed it to the fan. “I’m going to make it valuable. We’re going to add some value,” Trump said, proceeding to sign the bill. The child, visibly starstruck, continued to cry.

Trump then pulled the fan closer, displaying the signed bill and adding, “We love this kid.” Before departing the scene, Trump joked, “If your parents don’t want you, I’ll take you.”

This touching moment occurred as Trump challenges President Joe Biden, the scandal-plagued incumbent facing significant challenges in the polls.

Biden, at 81, is the oldest president in U.S. history, igniting concerns among many voters.

Countless viral videos have exposed Biden’s physical and cognitive decline, showing him walking oddly, slurring his speech, repeating teleprompter instructions, appearing confused and needing assistance while walking.

These issues are major obstacles for Biden, who could potentially end up as a one-term president.

Unhinged AOC Melts Down at Bowman Rally: ‘Are You Ready to Fight?’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A fired-up Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., delivered an intense and wild speech at a rally for embattled Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., even going so far as to scream and knock the microphone down.

At the rally—held to support Bowman during his primary campaign against George Latimer, the Hillary Clinton-endorsed Westchester County executive—Ocasio-Cortez didn’t hold back.

“Are you ready to win this country back?”  the New York Democrat shouted to the crowd, while rapper Cardi B played in the background.

Throughout her speech, Ocasio-Cortez pointed her fingers at the crowd and flipped her hair constantly.

“Are you ready to fight … for a ceasefire in Gaza?” she yelled again, this time knocking the microphone off the podium.

“I don’t know about y’all, but I am ready to fight,” the self-proclaimed Democratic socialist added.

The New York Post reported that the rally drew roughly 300 attendees at the South Bronx’s St. Mary’s Park. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., was also in attendance. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., was also in attendance.

Bowman is currently under fire from the left, the Democratic Party establishment and conservatives.

The radical left claims that Bowman has not done enough to protect Palestinians as Israel battles Hamas, the terrorist group responsible for the bloodbath on Oct. 7 in southern Israel.

Despite the left’s complaints, Bowman was one of the first lawmakers to demand a ceasefire in the war between Hamas and Israel.

Calls for a ceasefire early on meant that Israel would not have retaliated to the terror attacks of Oct. 7.

Bowman’s opposition to Israel prompted Clinton to endorse his opponent, Latimer, who is currently leading the polls ahead of the Tuesday primary.

Republicans have long chastised Bowman as a radical member of the self-described socialist “Squad” of the House of Representatives.

Bowman came under fire after falsely pulling a fire alarm during a government funding vote—and later faced misdemeanor charges for his act. As part of a sweetheart deal, Bowman pleaded guilty to the charge, which was then dismissed as part of the deal.

Wife of J6 Protestor, Also Veteran, Had Miscarriage after FBI Raided Home

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The wife of Chris Kuehne, a decorated Marine veteran convicted on Jan. 6 charges, suffered a miscarriage a day after the FBI raided her home in search of her husband.

Annette Kuehne recounted the traumatic ordeal during a speech at the Patriot Freedom Project at Trump Bedminster in New Jersey.

“We could’ve lost our lives,” Annette tearfully shared, adding, “The following day, we lost our baby.”

Her emotional revelation shocked the audience, prompting two individuals to comfort her as she wiped away tears.

“This has been a difficult time for us as we attempt to recover from the horror, trauma, loss that we experienced,” she expressed.

Security footage from their home showed heavily armed federal agents forcefully entering their residence during the raid.

In the video, Annette, visibly stunned, clutched her child close as agents rushed past. The child, visibly distressed, was in tears.

“I want to share the perception of a four-year-old child. On one occasion our son said, ‘The FBI didn’t pick me. They picked Papa,’” she added. “On another occasion, we heard the sirens of an ambulance. Our said, ‘Mama, I’m scared.’ I felt scared too.” She added, “There are things that trigger us.”

On Feb. 23, 2024, Christopher Kuehne was sentenced to 75 days in federal prison and 24 months of supervised release after pleading guilty to one count of obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder.

Despite assertions from Kuehne’s supporters that he did not commit a violent act on Jan. 6, he was among over 1,300 individuals federally prosecuted in connection with the Jan. 6 protests.

MURDOCK: Trump and Tim Scott Can Make America One Big Opportunity Zone

(Deroy Murdock, Headline USA) President Donald J. Trump should select U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., as his running mate.

Trump–Scott 2024 would be a juggernaut. Scott would serve Trump ably as vice president. He is well positioned to step in for Trump, should he become sidelined.

Long before any of that, this duo must get elected. Here, Scott looks uniquely promising.

A May 15-16 Harvard–Harris survey of 1,660 registered voters discovered that, among seven potential veep choices, Scott is the only one who makes Americans more likely to back Trump, by an additional 6%.

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., with 0%, does not move the needle. Gov. Doug Burgum, R–N.D. curbs enthusiasm for Trump by 6%.

Scott’s broad appeal—across the Palmetto State’s cities, suburbs, and rural towns—helps explain why he regularly outperforms other top statewide Republican contenders.

Tim Scott statewide ballots chart
Source: South Carolina Election Commission

In November 2014, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham was re-elected with 54.3% of the vote. Gov. Nikki Haley scored a second term with 55.9% of the ballots. Scott bested them both, with 61.1%.

In 2016, Trump won the White House, partially thanks to 54.9% of South Carolina’s vote. That same Election Night, Scott won 60.6%.

And in 2022, Gov. Henry McMaster earned four more years with 58.0%. Sen. Scott that evening won six more years, with a 62.9% victory.

While Scott was a low-key presidential candidate, he has been one of Trump’s best surrogates. He is upbeat, energetic, informative, and persuasive.

Those qualities will serve Trump well on the hustings, via Scott’s debate with Kamala Harris, and as his chief advocate as 50th vice president of the United States.

Tim Scott’s experience in the House and Senate, his work as ranking Republican on the Senate Banking Committee, and author of the Opportunity Zones and related tax cuts that he has sponsored or endorsed make him the right man to help President Trump push the “Make America Great Again” agenda through Congress.

While South Carolina’s nine electoral votes have not gone Democrat since 1976, Scott could attract far more electoral votes elsewhere.

The mere presence of Tim Scott on the GOP ticket would consolidate the recent rightward shift of black voters. They are marching toward Trump in stunning numbers.

CNN data analyst Harry Enten was visibly shocked on June 17, when he discussed an aggregate of network polls that captured Trump’s swelling share of the black vote.

At this point in 2020, Trump had 7% of the black vote, before scoring 12% that November, according to exit surveys by Edison Research. Trump now has 21% support among black voters—triple his position in June 2020.

Meanwhile, excitement for Biden among black voters has vanished. Overall, he has plunged from 86% at this point in 2020 to 70% in 2024. With those age 50+, he has slid from 83% to 74%. Biden has collapsed among blacks under 50, from 80% to 37%.

Scott would solidify and enhance the 20% or so of the black vote that consistently has backed Trump in polls since last fall.

Trump–Scott could secure 25% of the black vote; 35% no longer seems beyond imagination. If that many black Americans also vote GOP down ballot, Republicans should keep the House and capture the Senate from New York’s Chuck Schumer and the Biden Democrats.

Stylistically, Scott would be the cream in Trump’s coffee. While some people find the former president a tad hot and strong, Scott is relaxed and soothing. Stirred together, these two would make a fine blend, and complement each other—as running mates and governing partners should.

Given his personal integrity, legislative experience, increasingly polished rhetorical skills, and everything he will gain while riding shotgun to Trump, Tim Scott will make a suitable successor to the 45th/47th POTUS.

America’s future will be quite bright, indeed, if, on Jan. 20, 2029, President Donald J. Trump hands the keys to the White House to President-elect Tim Scott.

CBP: More than 241,000 Illegal Entries in May, 2.2 Million in Fiscal Year

(Bethany Blankley, The Center Square) – More than 241,000 people were apprehended after illegally entering the U.S. in May, according to newly released data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

May’s numbers push the total number of apprehensions and encounters of illegal border crossers to more than 2.2 million in the first eight months of fiscal 2024.

Last month, the majority of illegal entries occurred at the southwest border of 170,723.

At the northern border, they totaled a record-breaking 18,644, the highest for the month in recorded history. The northern border has seen the highest number of illegal entries in U.S. history under the Biden administration, The Center Square has reported.

As is the case every month, the majority of apprehensions of illegal border crossers were of single adults. Last month, 148,944 single adults were apprehended, while 1.35 million were apprehended in the first eight months of fiscal 2024, according to the data.

The next greatest number of apprehensions were of individuals claiming to be in a family unit. They totaled 82,833 last month and 785,631 in fiscal 2024 through May.

Last month, CBP continued to advance parole programs created by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas designed to process and release foreign nationals into the country, surpassing records every month.

In May, more than 44,500 foreign nationals were processed using the CBP One app. Since DHS launched the app in January 2023, through May 2024, more than 636,600 foreign nationals “successfully scheduled appointments to present at ports of entry,” CBP said.

CBP also processed and released an unprecedented number of Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans through Mayorkas’ newly created CHNV parole program. It prioritizes releasing into the country citizens from these four countries who are considered inadmissibles under current law and would otherwise be prohibited entry.

“Through the end of May 2024, about 462,100 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans arrived lawfully on commercial flights and were granted parole under these processes,” CBP said.

Among them, approximately 100,500 Cubans, 193,400 Haitians, 87,800 Nicaraguans, and 113,400 Venezuelans “were vetted and authorized for travel.” Of those, 98,200 Cubans, 177,100 Haitians, 80,700 Nicaraguans, and 106,100 Venezuelans were granted parole and released into the country, CBP said.

Multiple states have sued to stop Mayorkas’ parole programs, arguing they are illegal. The U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security also identified them as illegal and included them in the charges brought against Mayorkas for which he was impeached in February.

The committee’s chairman, U.S. Rep. Mark Green, R-Tenn., argues the May numbers are as high as they are because the “illegal” parole programs are being used.

Apprehensions and encounters at ports of entry “remain at historic levels, because Biden and Mayorkas have implemented unlawful policies like the CBP One and CHNV mass-parole schemes,” he said. “Encouraging inadmissible aliens to show up at the ports of entry instead of between them might be better optics for the Biden administration, but the outcome is the same – hundreds of thousands being processed and released into our country at unprecedented rates.”

“Meanwhile, CBP continues to be directed to release individuals into our communities, only to later learn of terrorist connections missed in the vetting process,” he said.

DHS Inspector General audits have found that Border Patrol, CBP, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other agencies aren’t properly vetting illegal border crossers at ports of entry and at airports and are releasing known or suspected terrorists into the country.

Green also took aim at the president’s latest so-called amnesty plan, which The Center Square reported would usher in another two million illegal border crossers.

Biden’s plan will “doing nothing to stem the tide,” Green said. “There’s no end in sight to this disaster under the current administration and its policies.”

When releasing the CBP data, Troy Miller, a senior CBP official, said, “In close coordination with U.S. and foreign partners, CBP continues to take strong enforcement efforts against transnational criminal organizations at our borders and beyond. Our enforcement efforts are continuing to reduce southwest border encounters. But the fact remains that our immigration system is not resourced for what we are seeing.”

Green and others in the House have pushed back against this argument, pointing out that the Biden administration cut funding for detention and removal programs and staffing. Congress increased CBP funding by $2.98 billion since fiscal 2021, The Center Square reported.

‘Squad’ Rep. Bowman Admits His Hamas Rape Denials Show ‘The Kind of Person’ He Is

(Headline USA) “Squad” Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., tried to explain away his denial that Hamas sexually assaulted women during its Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, claiming the bombastic statement in support of violent terrorists was just part of his nature.

“I think that’s representative of the kind of person I am and the kind of representative that I have tried to be,” he said, downplaying the comments.

“I am not going to be perfect; I am going to make mistakes; I’m going to say things that harm people even though I don’t mean to,” he said. “And when I do, I’m going to take accountability for it.”

Bowman made the controversial remarks shortly after the Oct. 7 attack, telling a pro-Palestinian rally in Westchester, N.Y., that the witness accounts and graphic images detailing the traumatic acts of sexual violence were Israeli propaganda.

“There was propaganda used in the beginning of the siege,” he said to a crowd of around 50 demonstrators on Nov. 17.

“There’s still no evidence of beheaded babies or raped women,” he claimed, despite strong documentation from the Israeli Defense Forces, who granted media access to the crime scenes and encouraged people not to turn away from the horrific images. “But they still keep using that lie [for] propaganda.”

Bowman has since been forced to walk back that claim, especially as his primary race against Democratic challenger and Westchester County Executive George Latimer has tightened.

In March, he released a statement clarifying that he stands “against sexual violence in all forms and … for peace for all.”

And in an interview with WNYC this week, he again tried to distance himself from his earlier rape denial.

“Immediately when the [United Nations] provided additional evidence, I voted to condemn the sexual violence,” he claimed. “As soon as I got the additional information from the UN, we condemned the sexual violence, we voted to condemn it, and we’re continuing to do the work.”

However, the lawmaker, best known for pulling a fire alarm last year during a critical vote on a government shutdown, rarely appears to accept any actual accountability for the harm his actions may cause.

In fact, after prominent Democrats including Hillary Clinton recently endorsed Latimer to replace him due largely to his anti-Semitic statements and tacit support for terrorism, Bowman accused his fellow Democrats of racism.

He previously accused Latimer of using racial dogwhistles against him for criticizing his anti-Semitic remarks.

“It’s the ‘Southern strategy’ in the North!” Bowman claimed.

A recent poll by Emerson College/WPIX found Bowman trailing Latimer by 17 points among likely voters.

Teachers Union Pushes Climate Demands in Negotiations

(Jim Talamonti, The Center Square) – The Chicago Teachers Union is pushing its Green Schools Campaign in negotiations with Chicago Public Schools.

The union wants retro-fitted buildings, solar panels, electric school buses and carbon-neutral programs, in addition to major increases in pay and staffing levels.

CTU President Stacy Davis Gates said it was students who pushed the union to bargain about things not immediately connected to reading, writing and arithmetic.

“They don’t want to talk about how the kids are failing in Chicago Public Schools, how minority kids are failing, how people are leaving,” Fiedler said.

CPS enrollment is down about 20% since 2010. Taxpayer funding of CPS has increased more than 50% during the same period.

Fiedler explained that the climate demands are CTU’s Green New Deal.

“How is any of this going to solve the immediate problem that most of the children, who are Chicago children, cannot read, cannot write, and cannot compute?” Fiedler asked.

Both Chicago Public Schools and Chicago Teachers Union negotiators focused on the union’s Green Schools Campaign during their first public negotiating session.

Fiedler said it is a disgrace that the Chicago mayor and teachers union boss are focused on green schools 15-to-20 years down the road.

“Are the kids in Chicago Public Schools right now throwaway kids Brandon Johnson? Are those throwaway kids Stacy Davis Gates? Do those kids matter? They matter a lot,” Fiedler said.

Health Care Company CEO Convicted of Insider Trading

(Headline USA) The former CEO and chairman of Ontrak, a publicly traded health care company based in Nevada, was found guilty Friday of a multimillion-dollar insider trading scheme.

A federal jury in Los Angeles convicted Terren Scott Peizer, a resident of Puerto Rico and Santa Monica, California, of one count of securities fraud and two counts of insider trading.

In a statement announcing the conviction, the Justice Department described it as the first case it has prosecuted exclusively based on what is known as Rule 10b5-1, which allows company insiders to create a predetermined plan to sell shares while also setting limits on certain trading practices.

Authorities said Peizer violated some of those limits when he set up plans in 2021 to sell shares in order to avoid more than $12.5 million in losses, after he learned that Ontrak’s largest customer at the time was set to terminate its contract with the company based just outside of Las Vegas.

After the news later became public, Ontrak’s stock price dropped by more than 44%, authorities said.

“This is the Justice Department’s first insider trading prosecution based exclusively on the use of a trading plan, but it will not be our last,” said Deputy Assistant Attorney General Nicole M. Argentieri, who heads the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. “We will not let corporate executives who trade on inside information hide behind trading plans they established in bad faith.”

One of Peizer’s lawyers, David Willingham, said in an emailed statement that they will appeal, and that testimony at trial showed Peizer didn’t act in bad faith because he relied on the advice of his management team when he set up the trading plans.

“In our view, this result is a travesty of justice, as Terren Peizer is innocent of these charges,” Willingham said. “We will not rest until it is overturned.”

Peizer, 64, is scheduled to be sentenced in October. He stepped down as CEO last March after he was indicted.

He faces up to 25 years in prison for securities fraud, and up to 20 years for each count of insider trading.

Alvin Bragg Drops All Charges Against Dozens of Pro-Hamas Columbia Protesters

(Headline USA) Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg dropped all charges this week against dozens of pro-Hamas protesters who broke into and occupied buildings on Columbia University’s campus.

Judge Kevin McGrath announced Bragg’s decision on Thursday, revealing that the cases against 30 Columbia students and staff members will no longer be prosecuted by the city.

“All these matters are dismissed and sealed in the interest of justice,” McGrath said in the courtroom.

Most of those arrested at Columbia were initially charged with trespass in the third degree, a misdemeanor. Some also faced charges for violent behavior, such as arson.

Stephen Millan, a prosecutor in Bragg’s office, claimed there was insufficient evidence to show that the protesters damaged property or injured anyone due to the fact that many of the protesters wore masks and covered surveillance cameras.

“It would be extremely difficult for the people to prove any charge of misconduct,” Millan told the judge.

Moreover, none of the students arrested by the New York Police Department during the protests had prior criminal histories, and all are facing disciplinary proceedings at Columbia, Millan said.

Bragg’s office said in a statement that it was still pursuing some cases from the illegal Columbia riot, “including all assaults against police officers.”

There are 13 defendants involved in the protests still facing charges, 11 of whom have no affiliation with the school.

However, Bragg tried to drop the charges against them as well, offering them a deal to drop their cases if they avoided being arrested over the next six months. They reportedly declined the offer.

Members of New York’s Jewish community blasted Bragg’s decision, arguing it will encourage further crime and anti-Semitism.

“This is turnstile justice,” Michael Nussbaum, a member of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, told the New York Post. “This a green light for chaos, a green light for destroying property.”

Law Protecting Parental Access to Kids’ Medical Record Paused

(Headline USA) A judge has paused parts of a new Washington state parental rights law derided by leftists as a “forced outing measure.”

King County Superior Court Judge Michael Scott on Friday paused portions of the law while a lawsuit brought by civil liberties groups and others is pending, The Seattle Times reported.

The law, known as Initiative 2081, went into effect on June 6. A provision of the law outlining how and when schools must respond to records requests from parents was placed on hold Friday, as well as a provision permitting a parent to access their student’s medical and mental health records.

Other provisions of the law will remain in effect for now, including a section giving parents the ability to opt their children out of assignments and other “student engagements” that include questions about topics such as morality, religion, sexuality and politics.

Adrien Leavitt, staff attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union of Washington, which is one of the groups that brought the lawsuit, said the organization was pleased the ruling would prevent parts of the law from “causing further harm” while a final decision is sought.

The initiative was backed by Brian Heywood, a conservative donor who has said the measure was not designed to give parents veto power over their child’s decision to access counseling or medical treatment, but just says they have a right to know about it.

Heywood said in a statement that “activist judges think they are smarter than legislators who in turn think they are smarter than voters.”

The state legislature overwhelmingly approved the measure in March, with progressive lawmakers wanting to keep it off the fall ballot and calculating that courts would likely block it.

Leftists have said the measure could harm students who go to school clinics seeking access to birth control, referrals for an abortion, counseling related to their gender identity or sexual orientation, or treatment or support for sexual assault or domestic violence. In many of those cases, the students do not want their parents to know, they said.
