Cuomo Mocks Future Ex-‘Squad’ Rep. Bowman: ‘Going to Be Smoked’

(Headline USA) Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo mocked embattled “Squad” Rep. Jamaal Bowman this week, accurately predicting Bowman would get “smoked” in his primary election on Tuesday.

The incumbent Bowman was trailing in the polls behind Westchester County Executive George Latimer by double digits leading up to Tuesday’s election and went on to lose the race by a roughly 17 point margin.

It marked the most expensive House race in history, with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s super PAC throwing $15 million toward Latimer over Bowman’s anti-Israel rhetoric.

It also notably saw some of the Democrats’ biggest names taking sides in what could be an ominous sign as the rift between pro-Jewish and pro-Hamas factions within the party continues to grow.

Citing Bowman’s opposition to Israel, Cuomo urged New York primary voters to oust the radical progressive, while making a jab at Bowman’s infamous fire-alarm incident.

“Jamaal Bowman should pull the fire alarm again because he is going to be smoked by @LatimerforNY today,” he said in a post on X. “The message is clear: anti-semitism in any and all forms will not be tolerated in New York. And you can’t call yourself a progressive without making progress. Vote!”

Bowman stirred controversy in 2023 when he pulled a fire alarm during a critical government funding vote to avert a shutdown, forcing lawmakers on the floor to evacuate and interrupting the proceedings. Bowman claimed after the fact that he thought the fire alarm was a lever that would open the door he was trying to get through.

Latimer has cited the incident as yet another reason why Bowman should be ousted from Congress, arguing the “Squad” representative hasn’t taken his position seriously.

“[Bowman thinks] if you want to get attention for yourself, you have to say outrageous things,” Latimer said earlier this year. “I’ve got a record of showing you what I do and how I do it. … I offer a different strategy and style, and can back it up with years of accomplishment.”

Bowman held a last-minute rally in the Bronx over the weekend in a desperate attempt to boost his poll numbers, with guest appearances by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio–Cortez, D-N.Y., and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

Among the notable names backing Latimer was failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Both Clinton and Cuomo are suspected to be running shadow campaigns in the hopes of a presidential nod should 81-year-old incumbent Joe Biden falter in the final stretch ahead of the November election.

Some speculate that due to Biden’s lukewarm support for Israel, the majority of New York Jews may gravitate to Republican contender Donald Trump, a political game-changer that could put the Empire State in play for the GOP for the first time in four decades.

CIA Paid Spies Who Falsely Dubbed Biden Laptop Russian Disinfo

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The CIA paid several self-proclaimed intelligence experts who falsely claimed the Hunter Biden laptop was part of a Russian disinformation campaign before the 2020 election, House Republicans announced on Tuesday.

Even more, reports to Congress by the CIA revealed that the federal agency was taken aback by the infamous letter signed by 51 spies, which alleged that the emergence of the laptop, incriminating then-candidate Joe Biden, was merely a Russian attack.

Documents shared to Congress by the CIA exposed that former CIA acting director Michael Morell, the man behind the letter, was contracted with the spy agency when he led efforts to conceive the letter.

Former CIA inspector general David Buckley also received taxpayer dollars, according to an interim report from two House committees. Moreover, at least two other signees received CIA contracts when they signed the heavily partisan letter.

It remains unclear why the CIA allowed some of its contractors to play such a partisan role in leading a letter that sought to undermine the laptop’s exposé, which implicated Joe Biden in the business dealings of his embattled son, Hunter Biden.

The letter was used by Big Tech platforms to ban the New York Post’s first reporting of the laptop and any other individual who shared the report. Joe Biden would use the fake letter to defend himself from attacks.

“There are 50 former national intelligence folks who said that what he’s accusing me of is a Russian plant. Five former heads of the CIA, both parties, say what he’s saying is a bunch of garbage. Nobody believes it except his good friend Rudy Giuliani,” Biden claimed at the time.

Morell denied being a contractor, claiming, “If you write that, you would [be] wrong,” yet he failed to provide details on why the CIA listed him as a contractor in documents. “It’s wrong,” he added, contradicting documents provided by the CIA to House Republicans.

In a letter to Congress, CIA Deputy General Counsel Robert Dugas listed Morell as a contractor. “I write to provide an UNCLASSIFIED document related to your … letters seeking information,” Dugas told Congress, sharing a chart of five individuals that listed Morell and Buckley as contractors on the date the infamous letter was published.

CIA officials voiced concerns about the letter, according to the New York Post. “This frustrates me,” an unnamed CIA official wrote on Oct. 20, 2020. “I don’t think it is helpful to the Agency in the long run.”

Another added, “I also love that at least a few of the random signatures belong to individuals currently working here on contracts…”

CNN Threatens YouTube Channels that Want to Provide Trump-Biden Debate Commentary

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Timcast’s host Tim Pool revealed on June 24, 2024, that CNN, which will host the presidential debate on June 27, 2024, warned any YouTube channels that livestreaming the debate and providing commentary to it would not be permitted under copyright.

“Confirming that we are offering digital platforms the ability to stream the debate only via CNN YouTube. We are not granting digital entities the right to stream the debate on their own YouTube channels. I hope that helps,” a CNN spox told Pool, according to the Post Millennial.

In the past, Pool and his team have previously streamed and commented on many debates, including the presidential ones.

“Now of course, like all presidential debates, which is the epitome of civic responsibility, of civic participation, we will provide live commentary and fact-checking on this presidential debate as we have done for every other so long as the show has been around,” Pool said.

He also talked about the censorship on Twitter.

CNN is now threatening any social channels that provide commentary on the debate stating they will not allow the use outside of CNN Commentary on a presidential debate is the epitome of fair use and we fully intend to provide insight and real-time fact-checking on Thursday LIVE,” he wrote.

Additionally, Pool responded to CNN.

“My response immediately was commentary on Presidential Debates is the epitome of fair use. We have two people running for the president of this country. One of them is the current president, and we’re going to fact-check and we’re going to comment and we are going to call them out in real time. If we can’t do that, if no one else can, then that’s strict, that’s severely limiting civic participation,” he said.

Pool also talked about how CNN is an anti-Trump network that just wants to “control the narrative.”

Biden Admin. Used ‘School Children’ to Register Left-Leaning Voters

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The emails obtained by Protect the Public’s Trust and shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation showed that the Biden administration sought taxpayer funding for a program that would use school children to provide voter registration materials to American Indians who tend to vote for Democrats.

Internal emails showed that in 2022, Department of the Interior (DOI) officials developed a plan that would have given American Indian children attending Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) schools voter registration materials so that they would bring them home to their parents.

According to DOI attorney-advisor Joshua Berg, BIE’s proposed native voter registration plan was formulated to comply with Executive Order 14019. The order was issued by Joe Biden in March 2021.

In March 2022, Berg wrote that he and his colleagues had “developed a plan to distribute voter registration applications at BIE schools so that school children [could] bring home voter registration applications to their parents and/or guardians.”

“[The federal government would also have provided] return envelopes with pre-paid postage so that parents and/or guardians [could] mail in their completed voter registration applications directly to the corresponding elections office in their state,” Berg wrote.

The BIE’s website stated that the agency, which is a division of the DOI, funds a network of 183 elementary and secondary schools all across 64 Indian reservations in 23 states. The news source added that these schools, 53 of which are directly administered by the agency and 130 of which are tribally operated, serve roughly 46,000 American Indian students.

The emails also showed that on March 2, 2024, Berg contacted DOI Deputy Assistant Secretary Eric Werwa to schedule a call so that they could discuss funding for the BEI school voter registration initiative.

On March 22, 2024, BIE team lead Jennifer Wiginton and Brian Quint, a DOI attorney-advisor, were sent a link to a meeting with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) where taxpayer funding for the BIE’s “voting rights” initiatives was supposed to be discussed.

DOI employees also maintained a list of states paired with information related to voting in those states. New Mexico, Arizona, South Dakota, Montana and Kansas were among the states included on the list.

“What a coincidence that there is such strong overlap between the states BIE apparently chose to target and those Democrats see Native American turnout as important to their chances of electoral success. These records show that the worst fears of those who believed this order would be used to help the President and his party were justified,” Protect the Public’s Trust director Michael Chamberlain said.

Jake Tapper May Cost CNN $1B in Navy Veteran’s Defamation Lawsuit

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) CNN could be forced to pay up to $1 billion in a defamation lawsuit over a report about a military veteran who decided to help people flee Afghanistan when the Joe Biden regime withdrew from the country in 2021 that aired on anchor Jake Tapper’s show.

The news came right before the network’s presidential debate on June 27, 2024, between Biden and Donald Trump, NewsBusters reported. Tapper is expected to moderate with fellow anchor Dana Bash.

This month, a Florida appellate court affirmed that U.S. Navy veteran Zachary Young and his company, Nemex Enterprises Inc., could seek punitive damages for the Afghanistan story. Young said that CNN improperly suggested he was an illegal profiteer.

Vel Freedman, Young’s lawyer, said Young lost $40-60 million in economic opportunity and could get up to $600 million if a jury awards him emotional damages. In the end, CNN could be forced to pay $1 billion to Young, if punitive damages would be included.

According to the lawsuit, CNN destroyed Young’s reputation and business after the network’s correspondent Alex Marquardt published the report about Young. Tapper introduced the segment by telling of a “black market” with demands of “exorbitant fees” and “no guarantee of safety or success,” the news source added.

It was revealed in the internal communications produced in the case that CNN employees called Young, the sole operator profiled in the TV and online report, a “sh**bag” and “a-hole,” adding that they were “going to nail this Zachary Young [motherf***er].”

Additionally, other CNN messages showed the discussions about how the story was “full of holes like Swiss cheese” and Young telling the lying correspondent hours before publication that there were errors in the reporting. Despite that, CNN still went and published the report.

In its appeal, CNN argued that it “did not intend to harm,” that its “language was either opinion or ambiguous,” and that the internal communications were “journalistic bravado that reflected a sincere belief in the reporting.”

“Young sufficiently proffered evidence of actual malice, express malice and a level of conduct outrageous enough to open the door for him to seek punitive damages,” the judges said as they affirmed a trial court judge’s ruling that came before it.

Pelosi Urges Insurrection against ‘Rogue’ Supreme Court, Claims She Has ‘No Confidence’

(Headline USA) Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., complained that she no longer has any confidence in the “rogue” Supreme Court, echoing a leftist talking point that billionaire oligarchs are pushing to potentially incite an insurrection ahead of major decisions this week involving President Donald Trump and Jan. 6 defendants.

During an interview with CNN, Pelosi was asked about the some of the court’s upcoming high-profile decisions, including one over whether former President Donald Trump should be granted presidential immunity in the federal case against him over his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol uprising.

“Do you have confidence in the Supreme Court,” host Anderson Cooper asked Pelosi.

“No, I think they’ve gone rogue. It’s most unfortunate,” she replied. “But it’s unfortunate further to see… what happened to the chief justice [John Roberts]? Did he go weak or did he go rogue? I don’t know.”

Ostensibly, Pelosi was referring to Roberts’s refusal to allow Democrat senators to call justices before the Senate Judiciary Committee in an unprecedented and deeply partisan move that would have severely undermined the high court’s autonomy as a co-equal branch of government.

That effort followed several contrived media-driven scandals that sought to ambush the court’s leading conservative justices, Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas in the hopes of forcing their recusal or, better yet, their resignation.

“[This is] constitutional overreach. They’re trying to micromanage the Roberts court. They’re trying to destroy Alito and Thomas because they don’t like the fact they’re conservative judges,” Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said in response to Democrats’ demand  that Congress impose a code of ethics onto the justices, the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act.

Graham and other Senate Republicans successfully blocked the SCERT Act earlier this month.

Democrats have also sought to politicize the court’s recent decisions, suggesting that they were ideologically motivated rather than driven by a plain reading of the rule of law.

Pelosi’s CNN interview on Monday, happened to be the two-year anniversary of the court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade.

On abortion, specifically, Pelosi claimed she “respect[ed]” the justices’ “point of view,” but that they had inappropriately forced that view onto the public.

“If they have a point of view about a woman’s right to choose, OK, but that’s not what they’re there to do—to advocate for a point of view. Run for Congress,” she said. “They’re there to uphold the Constitution of the United States.”

The justices ruled in Dobbs that, contrary to the 50-year-old Roe decision’s determination, the U.S. Constitution did not guarantee the right to abortion. Thus, states were at liberty legislate the issue without intrusion from the federal government, unless Congress passed a law otherwise.

SCOOP: Lawsuit Alleges Undercover FBI Officer Crippled Local Cop in Chicagoland DUI Crash

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) “Head-on crash kills driver; cop is critical,” was the dire headline that appeared in the Feb. 17, 2006, edition of the Chicago Tribune, describing an incident that happened the day before, when a drunk driver torpedoed down the wrong side of the rode and collided into an Arlington Heights police car driven by officer Tim Sheehan.

At the time, little was publicly known about the dead driver, then-35-year-old Evangelo Actipis, other than his history of drinking violations. Most of the local media coverage in the aftermath of the crash focused on Sheehan’s lengthy and difficult recovery.

“Tim Sheehan, 50, is still recuperating from severe head and abdominal injuries and uses a wheelchair or walker,” the Tribune updated its readers in October 2006.

But now, nearly 20 years after the fact, Headline USA has discovered a startling allegation included in a lawsuit filed against the FBI earlier this month: Actipis was working undercover for the FBI—something the bureau never disclosed.

The lawsuit comes from a credible source: former FBI agent Michael Zummer. The whistleblower’s transparency watchdog organization, Accountability FBI, filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit over the matter earlier this month.

Moreover, Zummer’s FOIA lawsuit about the Actipis incident is specific: Along with other records, he seeks a memorandum or e-mail to James H. “Chip” Burrus of the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division from Section Chief Richard Klein, during or around February 2006, regarding Actipis.

“Actipis is not identified as a law enforcement officer in the news article. Actipis’ blood alcohol concentration was four times the legal limit and the police officer in the crash, Tim Sheehan, was severely injured,” Zummer’s lawsuit stated.

Zummer also seeks any and all records pertaining to the FBI’s decision to allow Actipis act as an undercover officer for the FBI, including Undercover Safeguard Unit records regarding Actipis’ suitability for working undercover.

According to Zummer, Actipis was likely not an FBI employee, but a task force officer assigned to work with the bureau.

Zummer said records about the Acitipis incident are important to inform the public how the FBI approves officers for undercover work, including those with severe substance abuse problems.

The FBI whistleblower, who’s from Chicago but spent most of his career in New Orleans, declined to say how he knew about the incident. He did say he’s optimistic the FBI will provide him with the records he seeks.

Sheehan’s family couldn’t be reached for comment. A Facebook message sent to the local cop’s wife, Maryanne Sheehan, didn’t receive a response.

Likewise, Headline USA could find little information about Actipis or his family when searching for him online.

Arlington Heights Police Chief Nicholas Pecora didn’t respond to emails and phone calls seeking comment on the matter, while the FBI declined to comment.

“The FBI does not comment on pending litigation,” a bureau spokesperson in Chicago said. “There is no further information available for release at this time.”

Democrat Judge Who Drunkenly Assaulted Police Officer FIRED for ‘Systemic Incompetence’

(Elias Irizarry, Headline USA) In Georgia, Douglas County Probate Judge Christina Peterson, a Democrat, found herself handcuffed in the back of a police cruiser last Thursday after allegedly attacking a police officer outside an Atlanta nightclub and then refusing to identify herself. She appeared to be “under the influence” during the incident.

Police detained the embattled jurist and charged her with felony obstruction of law-enforcement officers by using threats or violence and simple battery of a police officer. She was booked at the Fulton County Jail with her bond set at $5,000.

On June 25, Georgia’s Supreme Court decided in support of Peterson’s removal from the bench, stating that she “portrays to the public an image of a judge who believes she is above the law.”

Surprisingly, their decision was completely unrelated to her recent arrest.

The now ex-judge’s removal—which was recommended in March by Georgia’s Judicial Qualifications Commission—stemmed from 30 separate charges for ethics violations, as well “systemic incompetence.”

The commission cited many incidents in which Peterson was said to have acted inappropriately in her official capacity—including inappropriate social-media posts, inappropriate contact with a litigant, abusive behavior toward other judges and county officials, and letting wedding guests into the courthouse after-hours.

One of the most harrowing incidents in Peterson’s streak of systemic incompetence was her decision to jail a naturalized U.S. citizen from Thailand after she attempted to amend her marriage certificate to include the name of her biological father.

The woman had brought a translated birth certificate of her father’s name to add to her marriage license. However, Peterson decided to charge her with contempt of court after deciding that the certificate was “fraudulent” and sentenced her to the maximum punishment—20 days in jail.

In this process, she failed to inform the woman what charges she was being arrested for, failed to inform her of her due rights, and did not permit her to have any legal counsel.

Peterson complained to the Judicial Qualifications Commission in her defense hearing that she was “the first African–American female judge who was a Democrat,” and that she “was never celebrated or congratulated.”

The office of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis will be responsible for prosecuting Peterson.

Willis, herself has recently been marred by ethics complaints regarding her romantic escapades with Nathan Wade, the prosecutor assigned to former President Donald Trump.

She currently faces several investigations a the state and federal level, including a House investigation alleging her office misused federal funds earmarked for gang-prevention initiatives to pay for “computers, travel and swag.”

Biden Admin to Close Largest ICE Detention Center, Move Deportation-Eligible Illegals Inward

(Headline USA) The Biden administration is set to shut down Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s largest detention center amidst the ongoing border surge.

The South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas, has the capacity to hold 2,400 illegal immigrants and is run by a private prison contractor, Tennessee-based CoreCivic.

Earlier this month, ICE announced it would be shutting down the Dilley facility, calling it the “most expensive facility” in the country.

“ICE continually reviews the overall detention capacity and in doing so, takes action to close certain facilities that no longer provide a sufficient return on investment,” the agency said. “This includes closing the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas, which is the most expensive facility in the national detention network.”

ICE then claimed it would reallocate funding from the detention center to “increase the overall detention bed capacity across the system. … This additional bedspace is being pursued across the country and is expected to be available immediately.”

It is unclear how many illegal immigrants are currently being held in the Texas facility. Since 2021, it has been used to hold single adults ineligible for asylum in the U.S.

It is also unclear what the Biden administration intends to do with the illegal immigrants currently being housed in Dilley, Texas.

However, it comes as Democrats make preparations for the possibility of a November defeat at the hands of Republican Donald Trump, who has pledged to undertake a mass deportation effort.

Biden officials have sought to preemptively take other steps to sabotage Trump’s agenda, including the recent announcement of an amnesty plan with a pathway to citizenship for at least half a million illegals, which Biden intends to implement by executive fiat.

John Fabbricatore, a retired ICE Denver Field Office director, told the New York Post that the decision to close the facility was not just a “lapse in judgment, but a deliberate act of amnesty through inaction.”

He argued most of the illegal immigrants being held in Dilley will now be released into the interior of the U.S.

The decision also flies in the face of President Joe Biden’s recent executive order supposedly meant to help his administration get a handle on the border crisis, Fabbricatore argued.

That order was “nothing more than political theater aimed at appeasing certain voter bases rather than addressing the real issues at hand,” he added.

Wisconsin Court to Decide Electronic Absentee Voting Eligibility

(Thérèse Boudreaux, The Center Square) A Wisconsin court is set to rule on whether disabled citizens will be eligible to vote via electronic absentee ballots starting in November.

The case, Disability Rights Wisconsin v. Wisconsin Elections Commission, hinges on whether meaningful access to absentee voting is currently provided for disabled voters, and whether the requested electronic ballot accommodation does not fundamentally alter or impose undue hardship on voting services and their providers.

The WEC has the burden of proving the new accommodation would fundamentally alter or unduly burden the service.

Lawyers for plaintiff stated that under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act, WEC is subject to ensuring that absentee ballot voting is offered on equal terms for all voters. The plaintiff argued the current services provided to disabled voters do not satisfy the requirements for “meaningful access.”

Those services include allowing voters with disabilities in Wisconsin to request an assistant when voting absentee, and audio-marking options for ballots at in-person polls.

“But this accommodation does not allow plaintiffs to read and mark the ballot privately and independently. By doing so, they are not allowed to enjoy the full benefits of the program on equal terms as other voters without disabilities…Requiring a voter with a disability to rely on assistance does not provide them with meaningful access to absentee ballot voting,” a DRW lawyer said.

DRW argued the new accommodations would not fundamentally change or unreasonably burden the state’s election services, as Wisconsin already offers electronic absentee ballots via email to military personnel overseas.

Lawyers for WEC countered both points, saying meaningful access is already provided under both state and federal standards, and the new requirements would be impossible to implement by November.

“This would take three months to implement, and there are only two months left until absentee ballots are sent out for November elections. And this is while clerks are preparing for August primary – they can’t develop, approve and provide training for municipal 2,000 clerks,” a WEC lawyer said.

The accommodation change, she added, would weaken election security and uniformity because it would create a new class of voters that are not as easily identifiable as military personnel–individual clerks would have to decide eligibility.

WEC also pointed out that under SCOTUS case Purcell v. Gonzalez, changes to election procedure are not allowed under such a short timeframe.

Judge Everett Mitchell of the Dane County Circuit Court presided over the hearing and is expected to release a ruling in the next couple of days.
