MTG Tears Into Fulton DA’s ‘Grand Conspiracy’ to Take Down Trump

'Americans are not going to have it...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., launched a fiery response against the radical left, labeling the recent charges against former President Trump by Fulton County DA Fani Willis as part of a broad “grand conspiracy.”

In an interview with Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo on Sunday, Greene said that the Democratic Party is seeking to destroy Trump ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

“Americans are not going to have it,” Greene asserted during a segment on Sunday Morning Futures. “This election is not going to be swayed by indictments against President Trump that are really pure communism in America today.”

The Georgia lawmaker’s remarks come a week after Willis announced charges against Trump and 18 other alleged co-conspirators to violate state law by leading efforts to investigate reports of potential voter irregularities in the state.

Emphasizing the notion of a calculated plot allegedly led by state and federal prosecutors, Greene stated, “This is an attempt to steal the 2024 election from Donald Trump by trying to put him in jail.”

Pressed on the trial’s fairness, the Georgia lawmaker voiced doubt about the assumption that Trump is unlikely to face a fair trial.

“I don’t think he’s going to get a fair trial at all,” Greene added. “As a matter of fact, I don’t think these charges are fair. What Fani Willis is trying to do is exactly what she’s guilty of. She’s charging him with RICO, racketeering and conspiracy in Fulton County, which is a largely Democrat county.”

Greene concluded by highlighting voters’ memory of Trump’s economic achievements. “Americans are going to vote with their wallet and they remember President Trump’s four years. They remember how great our economy was.”

These concerns were echoed by former Trump adviser Stephen Miller, who also appeared during the same segment. Both Greene and Miller believe that Arizona prosecutors are likely to follow suit by filing charges against Trump in relation to the former president’s efforts to question the results of the contentious 2020 presidential election.

Earlier in the interview, Green asserted, “I’m sure Arizona is next and just as Stephen Miller laid out, this is a conspiracy, a grand conspiracy, by the Democrat Party to use the justice system at the federal level but also in the states, using these state D.A.’s like in Georgia, Fani Willis, they are using Arizona, they’re using New York and using this giant collaboration basically to affect the 2024 election.”

According to CBS News, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes is leading an investigation on an alleged effort to funnel alternative electors in the state.

“We are taking this investigation very seriously, very solemnly,” Mayes claimed in a statement to local media. “We’re going to do it on our timetable as justice demands.”
