(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) When Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., becomes House Oversight Committee chairman during the next Congress, he said he will start an “investigation of Joe Biden” by issuing a subpoena against Hunter Biden.
In response to a question from CNN, Comer said his committee has not planned to subpoena Joe Biden because it is “complicated to subpoena a president of the United States.”
Without directly targeting Joe Biden, the committee intends to investigate his alleged corrupt foreign business dealings, reported BizPac Review.
“Congress, this committee will evaluate the status of Joe Biden’s relationship with his family’s foreign partners and whether he is a President who is compromised or swayed by foreign dollars and influence,” Comer announced Thursday.

Comer did not give a timeframe for the committee to issue the subpoena against Hunter Biden, but he implied that it would act quickly.
“Well, I mean, you know, if I were Hunter Biden, I would want to come before my committee and prove my innocence, because I said some things today that should be very concerning to Hunter Biden,” Comer said.
“Hunter Biden is a criminal. Joe Biden knew about it. When Joe Biden said from the White House press stand last week that he was confident his son’s innocent, I mean, innocent of what? He’s guilty of seven or eight very serious crimes,” Comer said on Newsmax.
Although he reserved judgment about Joe Biden’s conduct, he indicated that some allegations, if proven, could amount to treason.
“But the investigation is about whether or not this White House is compromised, and that’s a national security concern and that’s a concern that I think every American would have if they understood the severity of what all the Biden family’s been involved in over the past decade,” Comer said.
