Erotic Novelist Stacey Abrams Finds New Topic to Romanticize

'I think Stacy Abrams probably thinks she's the governor of Ukraine... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Stacey Abrams, failed Georgia Democrat gubernatorial candidate and former smut peddler, is being roundly mocked for a recent comparison of the situation of Democrats to the recent Ukrainian invasion.

The clip of Abrams, taken from “The Daily Show,” was featured in a Fox News segment and highlighted by The Federalist.

“Any impediment to [voting] is wrong,” Abrams said. “We are a stronger nation when we allow people to participate.”

“If we ever doubted that, the war Putin is waging against Ukraine, President Zelenskyy said… ‘this isn’t a war on Ukraine, this is a war on democracy in Ukraine,'” she continued. “When we allow democracy to be taken over by those who want to choose who can be heard… that is wrong.”

Abrams did not elaborate on the alleged connection between democracy in the United States and democracy in Ukraine, or how her fight for leftist voting policies in the U.S. is in anyway analogous to their situation.

Journalist and author Eddie Scarry commented on Abrams’s response, claiming she is representative of a larger problem within our government.

“She represents a real problem we have with this entire issue when it comes to our political leaders,” Scarry said. “Particularly on the left. They’re romanticizing Ukraine, as if people aren’t dying every single day.”

“She represents a real problem of romanticizing this conflict and making political points in the US when that’s not at all appropriate and that’s not want this is about,” he said.

“I think Stacy Abrams probably thinks she’s the governor of Ukraine,” Scarry added.

He also pointed out that Ukraine enforces voter ID laws, requiring all citizens to bring some form of identification to the polls.
