Some Cry Double-Standard as Raiders Coach Axed for Offensive Emails

'There’s something wrong with a world that cares more about some dumb jocks emails than the emails in a laptop dropped off by the self enriching President’s son...'

NFL coach Jon Gruden was forced to resign on Monday after emails of his came out revealing his use of vulgar language, Newsmax reported.

But questions have since arisen over the double-standard he faced after the cache of old emails was dredged up recently as part of an undisclosed investigation.

The emails, which dated from when Gruden worked at ESPN, included pejoratives against homosexuals and blacks, as well as disparaging remarks about current President Joe Biden, according to the New York Times.

In these exchange he called the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell a “f****t” and a “clueless anti football p***y,” and alluded to Michael Sam, as a “queer,” which apparently is insulting to the first openly gay NFL player.

Gruden also referred to Biden as a “”nervous clueless p***y,” according to Breitbart.

There has been rampant speculation around why Gruden’s emails were released to the public.

One theory is that breaking off the contract this way would save the Raiders franchise a lot of money.

Gruden’s 10-year contract was worth $10 million per year, and it was the richest coaching contract in NFL history in terms of the total contract value, Sporting News reported.

In the three years Gruden coached the Raiders, he has never had a winning record.

It is possible, though unconfirmed, that the emails were leaked to sully Gruden’s image and make it easier for the team to let him go.

Yet, some couldn’t help but notice the parallels to other leaked emails—including some with racist content—that largely went ignored by the same media.
