CCP Threatens Elon Musk over Discussion of COVID Origins

'These remarks of his have been continuously used by those US right-wing and anti-China media hostile to China as material to frame China... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The Chinese Communist Party threatened Elon Musk after he posted on social media calling attention to the suspicious origins of the COVID virus.

Musk responded to a post with an attached report from the Department of Energy that deduced the coronavirus originated in Wuhan and escaped from the lab in an accident. FBI Director Chris Wray publicly agreed with the findings.

“Dr. Anthony Fauci funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, lied to Congress about it, and now both the FBI & the Department of Energy have concluded that the coronavirus originated at the Wuhan lab,” an author wrote in a tweet that included a video of Dr. Anthony Fauci testifying to Congress. “Does that mean Dr. Anthony Fauci funded the development of COVID-19?”

Musk directly replied to the tweet, claiming Fauci “did it via a pass-through organization (EcoHealth).”

The Global Times, a CCP sponsored and run paper, responded to the tweet, calling it “hostile,” according to the Daily Wire.

“These remarks of his have been continuously used by those US right-wing and anti-China media hostile to China as material to frame China,” the report read. They warned that Musk should not bite the hand that feeds him, as he has several business interests in China. Musk did not respond to the article.

The EcoHealth Alliance is one of the many ties between China and the Biden administration. The group takes in millions of dollars worth of grant funding—including for the first round of research into coronaviruses and bats that kickstarted the pandemic.

The current regime recently granted the group $3 million for more research on coronaviruses, despite contact with the lab being cut off since the start of the lockdowns due to security concerns.

Congressional Republicans launched an investigation into the recent grant and subsequent research, which is officially relegated to “reducing the threat of viral spillover from wildlife in the Philippines.”

“The origins of COVID is something we’ve talked about a lot, and looking into whether or not taxpayer money was used by companies like EcoHealth Alliance to promote gain-of-function research in the Wuhan lab, where many scientists have said that’s where COVID started, not at some wet market,” said Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., in a statement.
