Tucker Carlson: Email from Burisma’s PR Firm Links Obama Admin to Ukrainian Corruption Probe

Burisma exec asked Hunter Biden to help 'close down ... any cases/pursuits...'

Fox News host Tucker Carlson said in his show’s opening monologue Thursday that he had obtained more “exclusive” emails, presumed to be from Hunter Biden‘s abandoned laptop, that offered direct links between the Obama administration and the corrupt Burisma energy company.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, currently the Democrat nominee for president, has regularly denied ever having discussed his son Hunter’s foreign business dealings.

But the trove of emails recently obtained by the New York Post, courtesy of a Delaware computer technician by way of Rudy Giuliani, indicated that Joe Biden met with a Burisma representative who visited Washington DC in April 2015—a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board with an estimated $1 million annual compensation.

That meeting came two months after Viktor Shokin was appointed prosecutor-general in Ukraine to replace Vitaly Yarema, whom Burisma had succeeded in bribing to back off the corruption probe.

Shokin’s reopening of the probe prompted Burisma to seek the support of Blue Star Strategies, a DC-based public relations firm, which ramped up its pressure on US officials while using as leverage Hunter Biden and his business partner Devon Archer, who had close ties to then-Secretary of State John Kerry.

That November, Vadym Pozharskyi—the same Burisma official believed to have met Vice President Biden earlier that year in Washington—emailed Hunter Biden and Devon Archer so that they might “be on the same page re our final goals … including, but not limited to: a concrete course of actions,” Carlson revealed.

In addition to seeking positive PR by soliciting praise from and meeting with high-ranking US officials, Pozharskyi wrote that Burisma sought to “close down for [sic] any cases/pursuits.”

A month later, another email in Hunter Biden’s possession included a follow-up from Blue Star outlining the minutes of a call between the firm and White House officials.

“This morning, the White House hosted a conference call regarding the Vice President’s upcoming trip to Ukraine,” said the email obtained by Carlson. “Attached is a memo from the Blue Star Strategies team with the minutes of the call, which outlined the trip’s agenda and addressed several questions regarding U.S. policy toward Ukraine.”

By Joe Biden’s own acknowledgement, he demanded during that December visit to Kyiv that Shokin—who had refused to drop his Burisma probe despite pressure from the Petro Poroshenko administration, according to a signed affidavit from the prosecutor—be fired.

If Shokin remained, Biden threatened to withhold a billion-dollar US loan guarantee to the cash-strapped ex-Soviet satellite, which was embroiled in a turf-war with Russia following a 2014 populist revolution.

Three months later, Shokin was ousted.

Biden explained it thusly during a 2018 panel discussion for the Council on Foreign Relations:

“I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well—son of a b****—he got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time.”

While President Donald Trump’s request last July to Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, that he reopen the Burisma probe was enough to trigger House Democrats to pursue impeachment, the newly uncovered evidence indicates that there was some justification for reopening the probe into the Bidens’ business deals.

Joe Biden, meanwhile, has continued to deny any impropriety, using the failure of the Ukrainian prosecutors and the American media to establish any evidence of corruption as the basis for asserting his and his son’s innocence.

At a recent presidential debate, he falsely claimed that the Burisma probe and the allegations against several members of his family made by a recent Senate report had been “discredited.”

But other revelations surfacing from the laptop’s recovered data suggest that the Burisma scandal may only be the tip of the iceberg.

Evidence showed that Hunter Biden, along with his uncle James and aunt Sara Biden, brokered a profit-sharing arrangement with a leading Chinese energy firm that was worth 10 times as much as his Burisma compensation.

And there are several indications that Hunter was designated to hold anywhere between 10 and 50 percent of his paycheck for “the big guy”—presumed to be his father, who was in office at the time—even as the Constitution’s emoluments class expressly prohibits public officials from receiving gifts and compensation from foreign entities.

The data also contain pictures of Hunter appearing to smoke a crack pipe and engage in sex acts, as well as vast amounts of pornography, some of which Giuliani has hinted may have been illegal.
