Biden DOJ Accused of Arresting Jan. 6 Dissidents for Being Outside the Capitol

'IF this is a new standard for DOJ, there are thousands of potential defendants still uncharged...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Allegations have surfaced that the DOJ is targeting individuals solely for their presence outside the U.S. Capitol.

In a scathing rebuke, William “Bill” Shipley, a prominent attorney affiliated with the Jan. 6 Legal Defense Fund, took to Twitter on Wednesday to voice his outrage, alleging that two of his clients had been charged with Jan. 6-related crimes despite not entering the Capitol nor engaging in any violent activities.

“I have two new clients charged with J6 crimes. Neither went inside the Capitol and there are no allegations of any interference with the police,” Shipley disclosed in a tweet that quickly garnered over half a million views.

“I’m not aware of any previous case where defendants were charged just for being present outside the building and watching. If anyone knows of such a case, mention it in the comments,” he added before warning that if the DOJ is prosecuting individuals who did not enter the building, “there are thousands of potential defendants still uncharged.”

The Gateway Pundit echoed Shipley’s allegations, highlighting a purported collaboration between the federal government and undisclosed private entities in a sweeping surveillance scheme.

Citing the Electronic Freedom Foundation’s findings, they highlighted the use of tracking technology similar to the one depicted in the documentary 2000 Mules.

Moreover, the Pundit raised the alarm that federal prosecutors would begin jailing individuals for merely standing outside the U.S. capitol.

Shipley’s legal defense fund has raised $328,729 out of its goal of $750,000. The attorney did not provide more details about the new charges.

However, a list of cases showed that Shipley has taken at least 24 cases.
