Left-Wing Activists Caught Bribing Voters in Wisc. Supreme Court Race

'We are offering an opportunity for you to earn $250-plus by talking to your friends and family about voting...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Left-wing activists in Wisconsin have been caught openly bribing voters to turn the state’s Supreme Court blue, WISN reported.

“The willingness of these groups to win by any means necessary should disgust Republicans, Democrats, independents, and all voters of Wisconsin,” said state Rep. Janel Brandtjen in a press release.

The group Wisconsin Take Action sent out a mass text encouraging people to campaign for far-left Supreme Court candidates and bribing them with money to tell their friends and family members.

“Hi! It’s Wisconsin Takes Action,” they wrote. “We are helping to elect a progressive majority to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. We are offering an opportunity for you to earn $250-plus by talking to your friends and family about voting.”

According to the state’s legal code, the action constitutes election bribery, a felony in the state of Wisconsin, punishable by a sentence of more than three years in prison.

WINA noted that the text likely went out to thousands of Wisconsin citizens. Those who expressed interest in the cash offer were directed to a live Zoom session wherein the cash-for-campaigning deal was described.

A video recording revealed that those who signed up would add their names and contact information to the activist group’s database, ensuring their continued campaign support for leftist state Supreme Court candidate Janet Protasiewicz.

“The primary was just last night for the Supreme Court so we know who will be on the ballot in the general election,” one organizer said.

“We have Dan Kelly, the conservative former Supreme Court justice and then Janet Protasiewicz—the progressive circuit court judge currently—and she is the progressive candidate who just won the primary.”

He also noted that the activist group will eagerly continue to support Protasiewicz in the upcoming election.

“Of course, Wisconsin Takes Action is focused on putting forth progressive ideas and implementing progressive laws, so, you know, we really are looking forward to her as the candidate for this upcoming election.”
