(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) A biological male who committed a triple murder requested a room in a woman’s prison in California, sparking concern for the female inmates from several activist groups.
According to the Gateway Pundit, David Warfield, also known as Dana Rivers, faced conviction for a triple homicide of a lesbian couple and their adopted son in the city of Oakland.
Rivers reportedly met Reed at a meeting of an all-female biker gang known as the Deviants, where Rivers acted as an “enforcer.”
Rivers stabbed and shot the women, Charlotte Reed and Patricia Wright, with a .38 revolver. Rivers stabbed Reed 40 times. Police discovered Benny Diambu, their 19-year-old adoptee, in the street with gunshot wounds.
Rivers also carried additional bullets and brass knuckles. Police reported that Rivers also attempted to burn the evidence.
“Rivers had been a high-profile and pioneering transgender woman, who was open about her transition in 1999, discussing it with ABC News’ 20/20 shortly after she had surgery in 2001,” the New York Post reported.
Rivers will move to the Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla as a result of the “Transgender Respect, Agency and Dignity Act.” The act, written and proposed by State Sen. Scott Wiener, became law in 2021.
The bill allowed transgender inmates to choose the facility they stayed in and even choose their roommates. Ex-prisoner Amie Ichikawa detested the new law, and described her experience in jail.
“I got my ass whupped by my bunkie for three months but when I went to a housing officer to ask for a transfer to a different unit she just looked at me and said, what kind of Asian are you, Chinese, Japanese or on your knees?” Ichikawa told the Post. “I was devastated. But if I were a trans prisoner I could pick and choose where I wanted to live and with whom.”
California, Maine and New Jersey are currently the only three states that allow biological males to cry “gender identity” to gain entry into female prisons.
