White House Deletes Dishonest Social Security Tweet after Fact Check

'Readers added context they thought people might want to know... '

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) The left has gotten a taste of its own medicine with the White House recently being “fact checked” by Elon Musk’s Twitter for a dishonest post regarding Social Security.

Soon after the warning, the White House deleted the post, the Right Scoop reported.

“Seniors are getting the biggest increase in their Social Security checks in 10 years through President Biden’s leadership,” they wrote.

But, not to let the White House get away with spreading “misinformation”, Twitter stepped in to ensure that the truth was known.

“Seniors will receive a large Social Security benefit increase due to the annual cost of living adjustment, which is based on the inflation rate,” the warning said. “President Nixon in 1972 signed into law automatic benefit adjustments tied to the Consumer Price Index,” it continued.

The Biden administration shamelessly attempted to take credit for the increase in Social Security funds, which only resulted from the record inflation that they have caused.

The fact that Social Security increases are tied to inflation has been noted by several sources.

Further, it appears that the increased dole will only serve to add more strain on the welfare program’s trust fund, which is expected to expire within the next decade, even as younger taxpayers continue to invest money into the system that they are unlikely ever to see paid out.

The latest annual trustees report for Social Security said its trust funds that pay out retirement and survivors and disability benefits will be able to pay scheduled benefits on a timely basis until 2035.

After that, incoming cash from taxes will be enough to pay 80% of scheduled benefits.

Boosting Social Security payments is just the latest in a long train of Biden administration attempts to buy votes in the 2022 midterms.

Last month, for example, applications opened for student loan forgiveness program, meaning that basic contracts will no longer be enforced. The policy specifically favors luxury-indulging college graduates over those without degrees.

This week, the Biden regime announced it would be paying utility bills to entice voters to elect Democrats.
