Kamala Unveils Biden Regime’s Latest Scheme to Buy Votes for Democrats

'There are chilling consequences of Democrats' assault on American energy... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) With a potential red wave midterm lurking on the horizon, a panicked Biden administration on Wednesday announced its latest vote-buying ruse, this one offering to help pay utility bills for low- and middle-income households.

Taxpayers, of course, are the ones who will be footing the estimated $4.5 billion tab for Biden’s largesse days before the crucial Nov. 8 midterms election. That hasn’t prevented Biden from claiming credit, similar to his dictum for student loan forgiveness that he announced earlier this year in another shameless attempt to buy votes with other people’s money.

With energy costs projected to explode in large part because of Biden’s aggressive war on the very industries that fuel the country, the administration is trying to game its way out of the problem it created.

Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services will dole out $4.5 billion to “help lower heating costs for American families this winter,” according to a press release from the White House. The money will be used to cover unpaid utility bills and “help families make cost-effective home energy repairs to lower their heating and cooling bills.”

Biden’s latest round largesse was delivered as even candidates from his own party try to distance themselves from the aged and increasingly feeble president, who has little to offer less than a week away from Election Day, expect for desperate pitches to lure voters through  pricey promises.

Vice President Kamala Harris announced the pre-midterm enticements for voters during an appearance in Boston to cheerlead and “underscore how the Administration is continuing to cut energy costs for families ahead of winter,” according to the White House’s statement.

The administration is also promoting “$9 billion in rebates through the Department of Energy to help 1.6 million households upgrade their homes to lower energy bills.” That loot is coming from the climate alarmist $740-billion so Inflation Reduction Act that will do nothing to reduce inflation, but spends prolifically on a radical Green New Deal agenda.

Fuel costs for this winter are forecast to soar as high as 28% for many households, according to the Energy Information Administration.

“There are chilling consequences of Democrats’ assault on American energy,” said Rep. Stephanie Bice, R-Okla. “According to the EIA, the prices for Oklahoman families to heat their homes this winter will hit record highs.

“We must reboot American production to provide reliable and affordable solutions for families.”

The Biden administration would prefer to stay on its collision course with reality, and give away money days before the midterms. Biden’s announcement comes as several polls showed the economy as the driving issue for midterm voters, and none of the numbers favored Democrats or the president.

Against that backdrop, a Gallop poll released on Halloween likely sent shivers through Democrats, with voters overwhelmingly ranking the economy as their top issue.

According to the poll, 49% of respondents said the economy will be “extremely important” in determining who gets their votes.
