(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump made bold declarations about his plans to address illegal immigration and security issues during a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Speaking about his 2024 presidential agenda, he pledged to undertake what he called “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.” Trump’s supporters gathered eagerly to hear his proposals, which included utilizing Title 42 to combat child trafficking and expanding the Trump travel ban.
“We have no choice, and we will use Title 42 to end the child trafficking crisis by returning all trafficked children to their families in their home countries immediately,” Trump passionately proclaimed to the enthusiastic crowd.
During the rally, Trump brought attention to a disturbing incident in North Dakota involving a Syrian refugee who committed a heinous crime.
He expressed outrage, stating, “This month in North Dakota, a Syrian refugee allowed in by Barack Hussein Obama — has anybody ever heard of him? — killed a 23-year-old police officer and badly injured two others, along with an innocent civilian, when he fired 60 rounds of ammunition from the back of his truck.”
As the leading candidate for the Republican nomination for president, Trump vowed to reintroduce the Trump travel ban, this time even more stringent, to safeguard the nation from radical Islamic terrorists and jihadists.
Reflecting on his previous tenure, Trump highlighted the absence of foreign-inspired terrorist attacks during his presidency. “We went four years without virtually a problem, didn’t we?” he asked the crowd, reminding them of past tragedies like the World Trade Center. He praised the effectiveness of his travel ban in preventing such incidents.
Trump’s remarks come at a time when President Joe Biden and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas face intense scrutiny over their handling of the open border crisis.
In fact, Mayorkas is currently under impeachment threats from the Republican-led House of Representatives due to the unprecedented admission of undocumented migrants into the country.
On Friday, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, urged his Republican colleagues to proceed with the impeachment process against Mayorkas, citing concerns about the nation’s security and immigration policies.
I believe the House should pursue three separate impeachment inquiries into Alejandro Mayorkas, Merrick Garland, and Joe Biden.
Each deserves a chance to present a defense to the serious allegations they face. pic.twitter.com/X2rIdZkwJf
