(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump released a video outlining his plan to address the southern border and reform the immigration system by stopping taxpayer dollars from being used to free illegals, as is currently taking place under the Biden regime, and by taking noncompliant administrators to court for their misconduct.
“Far more illegal immigrants have entered America in the last two years than at any time in American history, and by a massive margin,” Trump stated, introducing the video. “We’ve never seen anything like it. Our country is under invasion.”
The former president explained the situation at the border and detailed the seriousness of the problem America faces by citing a statistic. According to Trump, a group of 16,000 immigrants crossed the border in the space of two days.
“A colossal migrant caravan recently poured across the Rio Grande and into the streets of El Paso, Texas,” he said. “The people—and the police—didn’t know what to do about it. It is truly a massive invasion.”
Trump said he is against any form of amnesty for illegal immigrants because it would reward President Joe Biden’s “lawlessness.”
“Our border is not open because of insufficient resources or legal authorities—our border is open because Joe Biden has ordered it to be open,” Trump explained.
Trump then slammed Biden for getting rid of the “Return to Mexico” policy and other bills passed during his administration that deterred massive waves of illegal immigrants from coming to the border and prevented them from coming into the United States.
“In our history we never did so well on the border as we were doing just a short time ago under the Trump administration,” he added. “Giving Biden more resources will simply translate to even more releases [of illegal immigrants] because that’s really what they have in mind.”
Trump concluded his video by stating that the best thing that can be done right now is completely banning Biden’s access to taxpayer funds to free illegal aliens and taking noncompliant administrators to court for their misconduct.
This is the second video of the former president detailing policy positions; the first was regarding First Amendment rights and the reclamation of free speech in America.
