(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon, has been subject to controversy after offering information and materials instructing children to “tuck” their genitals.
“Tucking is moving the penis, testicles or both out of the way,” the hospital’s instructional guide reads. “Tucking can reduce any concerns you have about your body, how your clothes fit and how safe you feel in public.”
“People of all genders can tuck.”
The document goes on to provide methods for children interested in tucking: taping, wearing specific kinds of underwear or “putting your testicles inside your body,” including graphic diagrams, reported the Gateway Pundit.
The hospital’s document also encourages kids to visit sex shops to purchase “gender affirming clothing items as well as sex toys, videos and more.”
They recommend an Oregon sex shop called SheBob, which offers “appointments before or after hours for younger shoppers.”
They also have pamphlets on puberty blockers for minors:
Here’s their guide on puberty blockers where they practically promote kids taking them. They call males “people with testicles” and females “people with ovaries” pic.twitter.com/uFVCMbiQgf

This news has brought the hospital under scrutiny, especially from Twitter users:
I’ll say it again. Children and teens must be protected at all costs because they are the most gullible and manipulable in society.
This is beyond repulsive and horrifying, especially coming from a medical establishment. But what can we expect from Portland… Lord have mercy.

The discussion of risks in this document is inadequate. It does not discuss the risks of loss of testicle from testicular torsion, which they’ve tried to minimise as merely “twisting” of the testicle. Bring on the personal injury lawyers….

My question is why are parents going along with it? What parent would want their child to tuck or bind their body parts. If a child is uncomfortable with their bodies educate, love, and esteem them.

So if you are younger than 18 you can make an after hours appt to this shop. I was always taught never to take candy from strangers in white vans as a kid. pic.twitter.com/AWWBzhEtRF
