Taco Jill Tests Positive for COVID-19, Biden’s Results Negative So Far

(Headline USA) First lady Jill Biden tested positive for COVID-19 Monday but is experiencing only mild symptoms, her spokeswoman said.

President Joe Biden was tested for the virus following his wife’s positive test, but his results were negative. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the president would continue testing regularly and would be monitored for symptoms.

Jill Biden will remain at the couple’s home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, for the time being, communications director Elizabeth Alexander said. The first lady had planned to start the new school year Tuesday at Northern Virginia Community College, where she teaches English and writing.

Due to her condition, she was working with school officials to arrange substitute teachers for her classes, Alexander said.

The first lady had traveled with her husband to Florida on Saturday to inspect the damage from Hurricane Idalia. President Biden then spent part of the Labor Day weekend at the Delaware beach house before traveling Monday to a union event in Philadelphia and then back to the White House.

The Bidens both contracted COVID previously, last summer.

Report: AI Will Rule Internet, Social Media w/in 3 Years

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Social media and online content are headed for a major invasion, with a report by Europol indicating that by 2026, artificial intelligence will generate and post the great majority of online content.

Several experts in the field predicted that AI will generate over 90% of online content by 2026, according to Breitbart.

Journalism, art, technology, law enforcement and other sectors may make use of the technology, and many groups already are in some capacity.

While artificial intelligence is a newer phenomenon, synthetic media is not.

“In most cases, synthetic media is generated for gaming, to improve services or to improve the quality of life,” the report states.  “The increase in synthetic media and improved technology has given rise to disinformation possibilities.”

Amazon reported instances of “garbage books,” or fake books that falsely use the real names of authors, posted on the site by AI.

Professor Jane Friedman discovered books she had not written of hers on the site. The retail giant initially refused the removal of the listings, as she could not prove the trademark of her own name.

Meanwhile, OpenAI and Microsoft faced lawsuits for allegedly stealing “vast amounts of private information” from internet users to teach and launch ChatGPT.

The suit compared OpenAI to Clearview AI, a facial recognition tool used by police departments. Clearview developers faced legal penalties for using people’s internet photos to instruct the AI without people’s permission.

“The proliferation of AI—including Defendants’ products—pose an existential threat if not constrained by the reasonable guardrails of our laws and societal mores,” the lawsuit said. “Defendants’ business and scraping practices raise fundamentally important legal and ethical questions that must also be addressed. Enforcing the law will not amount to stifling AI innovation, but rather a safe and just AI future for all.”

Several leaders in the Big Tech sector, including Elon Musk, signed a letter to pause training artificial intelligence until researchers can do so ethically.

White House in Shambles Preparing for Impeachment

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The White House is gearing up with a rapid response team as House Republicans throw their weight behind an impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden, who is currently facing numerous scandals.

White House aides are growing frustrated at the scorching allegations of bribery, political interference in the criminal investigation of Biden’s son, Hunter Biden and allegations of influence peddling totaling millions of dollars in payments received by the Biden family.

According to Politico, the Biden administration is bracing itself for a barrage of negative headlines and unexpected twists as House Republicans unveil more incriminating evidence related to their investigation against Biden.

Despite dismissing the mounting allegations as false, the White House has taken proactive steps by assembling a crisis management team. As reported by Politico, this team consists of approximately a dozen attorneys, legislative assistants, and communications professionals who are crafting strategies to effectively combat the looming scandals.

“The only problem with [Republicans’] impeachment strategy is they have absolutely no grounds for impeaching the president,” a Biden adviser told Politico.

The Biden team has criticized House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., for what they perceive as a lack of an overarching strategy regarding impeachment. This criticism comes after McCarthy announced that an impeachment inquiry would only proceed after a House vote. This approach differs from former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who initiated impeachment proceedings against former President Donald Trump on two separate occasions.

“To open an impeachment inquiry is a serious matter, and House Republicans would not take it lightly or use it for political purposes. The American people deserve to be heard on this matter through their elected representatives,” McCarthy told Breitbart on Friday. “That’s why, if we move forward with an impeachment inquiry, it would occur through a vote on the floor of the People’s House and not through a declaration by one person.”

Biden is also banking on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to support him during government funding negotiations. In recent weeks, McConnell has cautioned House Republicans against pursuing impeachment against Biden. In response, Biden referred to McConnell as a “close friend” when asked about McConnell’s health.

“Speaker McCarthy should join Senate Republicans, House and Senate Democrats, and President Biden in keeping their promise and funding the government,” a White House press secretary claimed, further proving the relationship between McConnell and Biden.

Biden Crime Wave Forces Supermarket Chain Into Lockdown

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Grocery store chain Giant Food, located in Washington D.C., opted to remove several staple brands from shelves amid rising crime rates, essentially placing the stores on internal lockdowns..

The supermarket chain announced that Tide detergent, Colgate toothpaste and even Advil ibuprofen faced removal, according to the Daily Caller.

The company considered closing the location altogether, as they lost 20% of their revenue due to theft.

“We want to continue to be able to serve the community, but we can’t do so at the level of significant loss or risk to our associates that we have today,” Ira Kress, the president of Giant Food said.

The stores hired security guards, locked up high-value items and limited the items allowed in the self-checkout area throughout their 165 locations in D.C., Maryland and Virginia.

None of the chain’s locations closed yet, despite administrators conversations concerning the viability of several locations.

“We’ve invested a significant amount of money here, even more security here than any other store,” Kress said of the Ward 8 location.

Other chain stores such as Whole Foods, Walmart, CVS and Target either closed down locations or started locking up items such as toothpaste and deodorant, the Caller reported. Washington D.C. logged 8,562 thefts in 2023, a 24% increase from 2022.

T-Mobile’s flagship location in San Francisco recently closed, moving its employees out of the downtown area and into a friendlier location. Whole Foods also closed their first location in the city due to extensive crime and drug use around the store.

The CEO of Gump’s department store—a hallmark store in San Francisco’s downtown—even took out a full page newspaper ad calling out local and state-level politicians for their “destructive” and “failed public policies.

“As San Franciscans, we will continue to support the compassionate efforts of helping those in need,” Chachas said. “But we believe failed public policies must be abandoned and a renewed focus must be brought to restore the city we all love.”

Trudeau ‘Hoax’ Debunked: No Indigenous Remains Found 2 Years After Destruction of Catholic Churches

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Extensive excavations fueled by leftist activists and conducted at historic Catholic churches in Canada have failed to uncover any human remains, casting doubt on previous claims made by some groups.

The controversial searches, spanning two years, have ignited a heated debate over the veracity of allegations related to the treatment of Indigenous children in church-run residential schools, leading to the burning of some churches.

As reported by the New York Post on Aug. 31, the Pine Creek First Nation undertook excavations at 14 sites in the basement of the Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Catholic Church over four weeks earlier this year. Despite limited evidence, the group claimed the detection of “anomalies.” However, on Aug. 18, Chief Derek Nepiniak made a startling admission: No remains had been found.

Historian Jacques Rouillard, a professor emeritus in the Department of History at the Université de Montréal, expressed skepticism about the prevailing narrative.

“I don’t like to use the word hoax because it’s too strong, but there are also too many falsehoods circulating about this issue with no evidence,” he told the Post. Rouillard called for more excavations but also warned that groups jumped to conclusions “before there was any proof.”

The hoax was so far-reaching that even Pope Francis was reportedly duped into believing the story and issued an apology over the apparently non-existent tragedy that left no trace or remains of any bodies.

Popular podcast host Jack Posobiec chimed in with a fiery response. “So Canada just made up an entire hoax about Catholic schools genociding indigenous children, let churches get burned, and no one is held accountable,” he said on Twitter. “This is blood libel.”

The backdrop to this controversy is the historical context provided by the University of British Columbia’s First Nations and Indigenous Studies website, which reports that approximately 150,000 children attended schools managed by Catholic Churches and funded by the Canadian government. These children allegedly endured forced abandonment of their Indigenous heritage and language, the university warned.

In response to these allegations, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, infamously known for wearing blackface in 2001, allocated $320 million for research, and Pope Francis issued an official apology on behalf of the Catholic Church.

However, researchers like James C. McCrae, a former attorney general for Manitoba, argue that evidence supporting these claims remains limited. McCreae was forced to resign after a wave of criticism from cancel culture fanatics.

Tom Flanagan, a professor emeritus of political science at the University of Calgary, highlighted the challenge of dispelling deeply held beliefs, even when no concrete evidence surfaces. In statements to the Post, Flanagan stated, “People believe things that are not true or improbable, and they continue to believe it even when no evidence turns up.”

EXCLUSIVE: Law Enforcement Still Treating Exonerated Whitmer Kidnap Defendant as Terror Threat

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Brandon Caserta was found not guilty of conspiring to kidnap Michigan’s governor in April 2022, but Headline USA has learned that law enforcement is still treating him as a domestic terrorist threat.

Caserta was arrested on Aug. 18 in Texas for misdemeanor domestic assault—a charge he vehemently denies.

Caserta told Headline USA that he had been arguing with his ex-girlfriend, Jeinay LeBlanc, who kicked him out of her Bay City, Texas house and took his phone.

Stranded in Texas, Caserta took his laptop to a local Starbucks to communicate with his mother and figure out how he’d be able to make it back to the Midwest.

“The next thing you know, a huge tactical squad rolls up to the Starbucks and starts pointing their pistols and ARs in my face, [telling me], ‘Get the f— out of the car, put your mother——- hands up, mother——!’” Caserta said, estimating that at least 10 heavily armed officers surrounded him, along with a tow truck to impound his vehicle.

Caserta, who is working on a documentary about the Whitmer kidnap case with independent journalist Christina Urso, spent that weekend in jail and was released on Monday, Aug. 21.

Headline USA contacted the Bay City Police Department last week, inquiring why a heavily armed squad was used to arrest Caserta over a misdemeanor. This reporter specifically asked if such tactics were used because the Bay City Police Department viewed Caserta was a domestic terrorist threat.

“Yes, that’s why,” Bay City Police Lt. Irene Kjergaard said in response to that question.

This reporter then asked Kjergaard if they viewed Caserta as a potential terrorist because of the FBI, or if they had made that assessment based on media reports.

“I’m not sure. They don’t add that to the report, so I don’t know how they got that information—if it was from the victim, or how,” Kjergaard said.

The FBI did not respond to an email inquiry about the matter.

Local police have relied on faulty FBI data in the past to target innocent people as potential terrorist threats. Oklahoma native Saadiq Long filed a lawsuit over the matter in January, after Oklahoma City police targeted him on the basis that his name appeared on a bureau watchlist.

“In the span of only two months, Saadiq Long has been repeatedly pulled over, arrested twice, held at gunpoint, and had his car searched by Oklahoma City Police Department officers. It is not because Saadiq is a criminal or suspected of being one,” Long’s lawsuit said.

“The FBI distributes its list, via the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Database, to the Oklahoma City Police Department. That is all that the FBI distributes: a list of names,” Long, who has previously successfully sued the government to have his name removed from no-fly lists, said in his lawsuit.

“The FBI keeps its reasons and evidence about the placement to itself. Because of this, the Department knows that the FBI put Saadiq Long on a watchlist, but the Department has no idea why.”

Long’s lawsuit is still pending. Meanwhile, Caserta said he’s yet to receive a court date to face the misdemeanor assault charge.

The exonerated Whitmer kidnap defendant said he has evidence that will also clear his name in this latest misdemeanor case.

Caserta explained that his accuser, LeBlanc, used pictures of herself with bruises as evidence that he assaulted her. However, LeBlanc had already sent those same pictures to him months ago, he said.

“She stole my phone and used pictures from months ago,” he said, providing Headline USA with some of those messages.

LeBlanc, who is affiliated with the Redacted Caucus of the Libertarian Party, declined to comment on the matter.

Caserta further contrasted how he was treated by law enforcement to former FBI agent Richard Trask, who investigated him in the Whitmer case. Trask nearly killed his wife, but was not arrested at gunpoint.

Trask savagely beat his wife after a July 2021 swingers party, smashing her face in a nightstand and choking her. He was fired from the FBI, but escaped serious criminal penalties—he was sentenced to time served and ordered to pay court costs after pleading no contest in December 2021.

Calif. Schools Forced to Pay Hefty Fine for Secretly Transitioning Kids

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A Monterey County, California, school district agreed to pay a $100,000 fine after it facilitated a secret gender transition without the knowledge of the child’s parents, the Los Angeles Times reported.

According to the report, the staff of middle school teachers “convinced” the student, Alicia Konen, daughter of Jessica Konen, to identify as bisexual, and eventually as transgender, all without informing the mother of the 11-year-old.

As a result, the Spreckels Union School District was forced to pay $100,000 to the mother and her daughter for denying the mother the right to care for her own child, constituting a violation of the 14th amendment.

The lawsuit alleges that teachers were “instructing A.G. that she must not tell her mother about her new gender identity.”

The suit also notes that the policy of the school was effectively to “keep certain information about students’ gender identity and expression secret from parents.”

Both the mother and the daughter will receive $48,000, with the remaining $4,000 going to the California Department of Health Care Services to cover healthcare costs.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta noted previously that the California Department of Education Code dictates that the student has a right to privacy, and that such information cannot be released to parents without the student’s permission.

“Disclosing that a student is transgender without the student’s permission may violate California’s anti-discrimination law by increasing the student’s vulnerability to harassment and may violate the student’s right to privacy,” Bonta wrote.

Harmeet Dhillon, a member of the Republican National Committee, noted that the win will be important precedent in the larger push for parental rights across America.

“This win sends a clear message that parental rights must be respected,” said Dhillon, lead counsel for plaintiffs. “Jessica and Alicia’s courage continued to inspire countless other parents to stand against the violation of their rights.”

Tulsi Gabbard Slams ‘Associated Propaganda’ for ‘Exploiting’ Blacks to Push Political Agenda

(Corine Gatti, Headline USA) Former Hawaii Democrat congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard was outraged after an Associated Press reporter wrote a story that appeared to exploit the recent racially motivated mass shooting in Jacksonville, Florida. Gabbard called the article “offensive” and “egregious,” and took a dig at the Associated Press by renaming it the “Associated Propaganda.”

The article Gabbard referenced was “Florida Governor Ron DeSantis faces Black leaders’ anger after racist killings in Jacksonville” on how DeSantis dismissed an “all-out attack” on black Americans and the NAACP’s concerns, and now faced the consequences of a racially motivated shooting in Jacksonville where three black people were killed by a white gunman.

“Ron DeSantis scoffed when the NAACP issued a travel advisory this spring warning black people to use ‘extreme care’ if traveling to Florida,” the writer of the article tweeted.

Gabbard slammed the Associated Press for its fake news bias and alignment with the “Democrat elite” in the wake of a tragic shooting at a Dollar Tree store in Jacksonville. Despite efforts by Democrat politicians and mainstream media to use the tragedy to push for more gun control, County Sheriff TK Waters said the blame was with the individual, not the weapon used.

“I know you remember as well as I do back when the AP was a trusted news source that would objectively just report the news, just report information, Gabbard told Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Tuesday. “Seeing how they’re inserting their political bias in political narrative, writing pieces that sound a lot more like opinion pieces than they do just actually reporting the news.”

Gabbard expressed further frustration with those in the media who disregard the needs and intelligence of the American people. She highlighted the importance of providing information and facts and allowing individuals to draw their own conclusions.

“They disrespect us and our intelligence by assuming that they can just feed us whatever propaganda they want. We’re just going to soak it up,” Gabbard added. “We’re not that stupid.”

Last year, Gabbard left the Democrat Party due to reasons like elitism, pro-war stance, hostility towards people of faith, and racialization of every issue. She urged others to do the same.

Trump’s Truth Social Faces Key Merger Vote Reportedly to Remain Viable

(Robert Jonathan, Headline USA) The continued viability of Truth Social may or may not be hanging in the balance with a looming shareholder vote.

Trump Media & Technology Group, the Twitter rival’s parent company, and Digital World Acquisition Corp. are or were set to merge, but the deal announced back in October 2021 has yet to finalize.

The closing is now scheduled for Sept. 8, unless enough shareholders go along with a DWAC recommendation to vote on Tuesday to extend the deadline by another year.

If the merger ever happens, the new tech entity is reportedly projected to be valued at a range of $875 million to $1.7 billion. The deadline for the high-finance transaction to consummate has reportedly been extended five times already.

“If the vote fails, Digital World will be required by law to liquidate and return $300 million to its shareholders, leaving Trump’s company with nothing from the transaction,” the Washington Post reported on Sept. 2.

Digital World, which is a so-called special purpose acquisition company that enables the merged organization to go public, needs yes votes from slightly less than two-thirds of the shares owned by approximately 400,000 shareholders.

As a practical matter, getting the necessary votes may be problematic, the Post noted, given the SPAC’s unique composition.

“Digital World’s shareholder base is made up largely of small-time ‘retail’ investors, making it harder for the company to boost shareholder participation in critical votes. [Univ. of Florida finance professor Jay] Ritter said he suspects these investors, many of whom bought shares out of love for Trump or loyalty to his brand, may not be paying attention as the liquidation deadline approaches.”

About the merger, Ritter also opined that it has “been pretty much unprecedented in terms of all of the glitches. The deal does seem to be running out of time. You can’t just keep getting extensions forever.”

According to the Post, Digital World has allegedly encountered various issues with regulators including “an $18 million settlement to resolve charges that it had misled investors and given false information to the Securities and Exchange Commission.”

Trump Media has reportedly blamed SEC regulators in the Biden administration for the stalled deal.

The start-up company, whose CEO is former GOP Congressman Devin Nunes, has previously sued the Post for defamation in the context of the left-wing news outlet’s coverage of the pending merger.

Former President Donald Trump is still very active on Truth Social.

Ever the salesman, on August 28, he wrote that “I believe that Truth Social is the greatest &  ‘hottest’ form, system, & platform of communication in America, & indeed the world, today. That’s why I use it — there is nothing that comes even close!!!”

The Post elucidated, however, that “Trump, who would retain his 90 percent ownership of Trump Media if the deal falls apart, has yet to make mention of the shareholder vote on his own Truth Social account.”

The momentum behind Truth Social perhaps may have lessened once Elon Musk bought Twitter in the name of free speech.

Pursuant to a May 2022 SEC filing by DWAC, “President Trump is generally obligated to make any social media post on Truth Social and may not make the same post on another social media site for 6 hours. Thereafter, he is free to post on any site to which he has access.”

Perhaps in the best of circumstances, it would be challenging for any of Twitter’s less-established social media competitors to catch up, even with Trump on board.

Truth Social, for example, reportedly has about two million or less users as compared to an estimated 400 million or more on Twitter.

In November 2022, Musk reactivated Trump’s Twitter account, which has only sent out one post on the platform so far, the historic Fulton County mugshot.

Digital World’s share price is currently about $16, down from its peak of $175.

In an SEC filing dated July 14, 2023, DWAC explained, in part, that “If we liquidate, our public shareholders may only receive $10.24 per share, and our warrants will expire worthless.”

In the announcement of Tuesday’s special shareholder meeting, DWA CEO Eric Swider asserted the following:

“…Our SPAC is at a defining crossroads. The proposal to approve the Extension, giving us time to potentially complete the business combination with Trump Media & Technology Group Corp., isn’t just a formality; it’s a decision deeply rooted in our shared vision for freedom of speech, innovation, and growth.

He added that “As the Special Stockholders Meeting approaches, I earnestly urge each stockholder to cast their vote in favor of this extension. Every vote is essential for our ability to progress with the merger.”

Swider separately told the Post in statement that its latest report was “inaccurate or wildly misleading.”

A Trump Media spokeswoman also condemned the Post report as adding to “its heaping pile of bias.”

Mass. Leftists Unleash National Guard to Deal w/ Illegals Surge

(Corine Gatti, Headline USA) Democrat Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey activated the National Guard that transported the latest wave of Haitian asylum seekers to shelters across the state, while protests moved to a fever pitch under President Joe Biden’s failed border policies in the blue state.

“Massachusetts is in a state of emergency, and we need all hands-on deck to meet this moment and ensure families have access to safe shelter and basic services,” Healey said in a statement, failing to note it was  sanctuary city policies and Biden’s open border that delivered the emergency to the region.

The New York Post reported that while the National Guard has been brought in to alleviate the shortage of manpower, there’s little that the state can do to address the housing shortage. The only option available was to build new shelters, which was vehemently opposed by local residents.

Droves of protesters, including veterans, flashed signs during a rally Saturday that read, “Vets and Cape Homeless First!!” showed up at the Yarmouth Resort motel last weekend, where the state was expected to set aside 100 units for migrant families, many of whom include Haitian immigrants displaced by natural disasters, the Post noted.

The Left-Wing leaders of the state, like Healey, which supported open borders, scrambled to find shelters due to low resources.  “Right now, the non-profits that are in Massachusetts are stretched and so thin they cannot provide any more staff,” state Sen. Jamie Eldridge told CBS News.

The state created 1,500 temporary hotels, and new permanent shelters have been added statewide since 2022. The state’s Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities said in a statement, “The administration is exploring all options to expand family shelter capacity to meet rising demand.”

Notably, all sanctuary zones refused to cooperate with U.S. government immigration authorities, including states like Massachusetts, Illinois and New York that led to the currently crises. Meanwhile, Massachusetts joined other Democrat-run states, which supported open borders, and cried foul after immigrants infiltrated cities like New York.

Last week, over 400 people protested in Staten Island of a shuttered Catholic school into a 300-bed makeshift shelter. Scores of migrants were left stranded outside the Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown last month, after an unexpected surge of illegal immigrants arrived in Manhattan.

With no available beds inside the hotel, the area surrounding the processing center quickly turned into a makeshift shelter for those who had nowhere else to go.  In Chicago’s South Side, residents slammed local leaders during a community forum for setting up a hotel shelter to care for illegal immigrants pouring into the city because of the Left’s pro-open border policies.
