Biden’s Notoriously Bad Press Sec. Declares Herself a ‘Historic’ Figure

'The Titanic was an historic figure, too...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced that she was a “historic figure” in an interview last week with TheGrio, a black news website.

“A year in this role, there’s been a couple of things that has made me incredibly proud,” she said, according to the Post Millennial. “Many things have made me incredibly proud to be at that podium during this historic moment.”

She also discussed her pride in her personal work and her coworkers.

“This is a historic administration,” she said. “I’m a historic figure—and I certainly walk in history every day—but this is also a historic making administration because of this president.”

Jean-Pierre—the first black, gay, immigrant press secretary—was, presumably, referring to the diversity points scored by the Biden administration, and not the many abysmal failures, impending financial disasters and astonishing political weaponization of the administrative state.

Jean-Pierre previously used her position at the podium to discuss her own greatness, highlighting herself on National Coming Out Day.

“Like so many in the LGBTQ community, coming out wasn’t an easy thing to do,” she explained. “My family was traditional and conservative; being gay in my family wasn’t something that you mention out loud or celebrated.”

She also took the moment to decry the “wave of anti-LGBTQ legislation” increasing in red states.

Jean-Pierre thanked President Joe Biden for his support of the LGBT community and promised the administration would “continue to stand with those who come out, and… those who are thinking about coming out.”

Twitter users called out Jean-Pierre for her presumption.

“Historical example of a “diversity” (as sole merit) hire gone terribly wrong,” one user said.

“The Titanic was a historic figure, too,” another user posted.

“If you have the egotism to call yourself ‘a historic figure,’ you definitely are NOT a historic figure,” Joseph Alexander said.
