Mexico President Insults Republicans, Demands Americas Union and Open Borders

'Of course, the most inhuman, anti-immigrant, authoritarian [politicians] are the Republicans... '

(Chris Parker, Headline USA) Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has renewed calls for an EU-like superstate across North and Central America, apparently unaware that U.S. President Joe Biden has already essentially opened the border.

López will be traveling to the US next month to discuss the proposal with Biden. He stated, “My position is that, just as how the European community was created … we have to do that in America,” reported Breitbart.

During a call between the two presidents, they “recognized the importance of joint efforts underway to fast-track the development and implementation of key infrastructure projects on both sides of the 2,000 mile U.S.-Mexico border,” according to the White House’s website.

He also expressed a need to control the opinions of Americans and our nation’s immigration policies.

“Not anymore, we will not remain silent anymore in the face of insults to immigrants and Mexicans,” López Obrador said. “And I will insist on immigration reform.”

This isn’t the first time that a continental superstate has been proposed by both nations. In 20001, then presidents George W. Bush and Vincente Fox discussed a North American Union, even calling it “inevitable.”

They also discussed a common currency, the Amero. The New York Times called it a conspiracy theory, despite Fox having admitted the discussions during a 2007 interview with Larry King.

They also discussed the “Any Willing Worker” plan, a proposal that would have allowed Mexican citizens to take more jobs in place of legal Americans at lower wages. López Obrador has echoed similar beliefs. Ultimately, talks of a superstate between Fox and Bush were derailed by 9/11.

López Obrador accused Republicans and Cubans of a conspiracy to undermine relations between the two countries.

“Of course, the most inhuman, anti-immigrant, authoritarian [politicians] are the Republicans. But there are also those in the Democratic Party too …  [For example, Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J.] he is from the Cuban community — and this one has enormous influence,” he said.

He also blamed the US for trying “to resolve everything with coercive measures regarding immigration.”
