DeSantis Retaliates Against Soros Elections Scheme

'The Soros-funded radical Left is running a scheme to manipulate local media in Florida to push their Marxist agenda on voters... '

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) One week after the launch of the George Soros-funded Latino Media Network, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has responded by purchasing Spanish-language ads on the oligarch’s fledgling network.

“Governor Ron DeSantis is taking [on] Soros on his own turf with a Spanish language ad buy on the Soros network, serving as a PSA to Hispanic Floridians to warn of the pro-socialism, radical agenda behind The Latino Media Network,” the governor’s office wrote in a statement to Fox News.

“The Soros-funded radical Left is running a scheme to manipulate local media in Florida to push their Marxist agenda on voters,” the statement continued. “In Florida, we reject the professional Left and their attempt to infiltrate our state.”

The Latino Media Network was founded by leftist Hispanic activists Jess Morales Rocketto and Stephanie Valencia, who moved to acquire 18 Hispanic radio stations across 10 states, Axios reported.

Axios also reported that Soros-affiliated investment firm, Lakestar Finance, is “leading the investment.”

The Team DeSantis Twitter account instantly accused the billionaire of attempting to influence electoral politics.

“The radical Left will stop at nothing to push their Marxist agenda on voters, even buying local media,” Team DeSantis wrote. “They are running a takeover scheme in Florida, but Governor @RonDeSantisFL is fighting back.”

According to an English translation provided by Breitbart, DeSantis’ ad warns Florida residents that Soros is buying up Hispanic media in Miami.

“Billionaire George Soros, known for financing extreme leftist causes, is now financing the purchase of Hispanic radio stations right here in Miami,” the ad reads.

“Soros teamed up with Biden supporters to buy this station from TelevisaUnivision.”
