(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his presidential campaign team released an ad on Monday that shows fake images of Donald Trump embracing and kissing Anthony Fauci.
According to the Daily Caller, the people behind the DeSantis War Room Twitter account uploaded the ad in one of their tweets, showing Trump saying his famous line “You’re fired” before switching to the videos of him praising Fauci and refusing to fire him.
One video clip included six images of Trump and Fauci together. However, three of the images were reportedly AI-generated.
Signs that the images were bogus were quickly spotted, including the length of Trump’s hands, the appearance of his hair and the spelling of the signage behind them that displays gibberish that AI is infamous for not being able to reproduce words and phrases, as shown in an AFP fact check.
Trump Magadonians jumped on DeSantis for deceiving the public.
“Ron DeSantis has to rely on fake images because the real record shows that he’s lying about his COVID response,” MAGA War Room wrote. “He shut down Florida and praised Fauci.”
One of Trump’s sons also defended his father against his political opponent.
“While Biden is weaponizing his corrupt DOJ to try to put President Trump in prison, the liars on Team Tiny D are following the dishonest Dem playbook because just like the rest of the Deep State, they’re just that desperate to stop Trump,” Donald Trump Jr. wrote.
It's also hilarious to watch the DeSantis campaign actually try to justify getting caught red-handed using Deep Fake images in their ad with the caption "real life Trump," by comparing it to my dad posting a joke meme of Ron riding his favorite animal 🤣🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/zM6rV0FGPZ

Sen. J. D. Vance, R-Ohio, also defended Trump, adding that people should become more skeptical about what they see on the internet.
“Smearing Donald Trump with fake AI images is completely unacceptable. I’m not sharing them, but we’re in a new era. Be even more skeptical of what you see on the internet,” he wrote.
Laura Loomer, an active Trump supporter, also shared her perspective in a lengthy Twitter post.
“@RonDeSantis’s shady foreign agent rapid response director @ChristinaPushaw must be fired for using AI to deceive voters… The fact that DeSantis won’t disavow these tactics shows you he’s willing to lie and distort the truth in order to push his agenda,” she wrote.
