Schiff Amendment Aims to Thwart GOP Probes of Dems’ Abuse of Power

'This is abuse of power on an industrial scale... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) With Republican lawmakers eyeing an increasingly possible midterm red wave and promising Congressional investigations on an expansive front of Democrat policy failures, corruption and foreign entanglements, Rep. Adam Schiff, a Democrat and lead J6 inquisitor, has begun a massive coverup campaign to shield himself and his leftist cronies from future troubles.

Schiff on Thursday took the extraordinarily conspiratorial step of filing an “amendment to the NDAA that would conceal any info collected by the U.S. military for use in congressional investigations or court proceedings,” reported American Greatness’ Julie Kelly, via the JD Rucker Substack.

If the amendment is successful it would be a “massive attempted coverup of enormous proportions and preemptive power grab to prevent GOP oversight next year,” Kelly wrote.

And there could be extensive “oversight” in the future.

Stumbling off a roundly-panned performance by the partisan stars of J6 Tribunal TV programming, Democrats are scrambling like panicked gnus scenting a lion on the hunt.

The Jan. 6 committee’s big reveals were supposed to divert attention from the disasters unfolding on a daily basis under the Biden administration and Democrat leadership. The J6 Inquisition failed miserably on that front, instead raising even more public doubts and suspicions of the long-running witch hunt.

Voters have remained focused on the failing economy, a bungled response to the Russian-Ukraine war, soaring inflation and headlines about President Joe Biden’s dealings with his crack-addict son’s ongoing criminal investigations.

Questions and concerns also remain in the public’s eye surrounding Biden’s mishandling of the deadly Afghan troop withdrawal, his tepid response to leftist, Antifa and BLM rioting and mounting destruction and mayhem on the southern border, where Biden’s policies and failures have spawned violent crime, soaring illegal immigration and record fentanyl deaths.

Republicans have promised to investigate it all if they regain majority control, which would explain the Democrat’s desperation to cover their tracks.

The budding coverup initiated by Schiff started with his National Defense Authorization Act amendment that reads:

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any information obtained by or with the assistance of a member of the Armed Forces in violation of section 1384 of title 18, shall not be received in evidence in any trial, hearing, or other proceedings in or before any court, grand jury, department, officer, agency, regulatory body, legislative committee, or other authority of the United States, a State, or a political subdivision thereof.

The ramifications of the amendment could be shocking in their scope and nefarious intent, strengthening a leftist tradition of acting with impunity.

Under such a scenario, the secretary of defense, currently a leftist cog tucked deep into the Democrat machine, could “decline any request for materials related to deadly Afghanistan withdrawal, woke policies, vaccine mandates/injuries, and January 6 among other issues,” Kelly wrote.

And the protective shield could potentially stretch even wider, preventing the GOP from “examining the military’s role in the events of January 6 including the use of assets before and on that day as well as the use of intelligence services such as NCIS, which we know were part of the investigatory process,” according to Kelly.

“What are they trying to hide?” she tweeted.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., responded to the news of the Democrat’s latest bullschiff with a simple observation and dire warning.

“What we are witnessing is Congressional Democrats giving themselves cover from repercussions for the various dirty deeds in which they are currently involved,” wrote Rucker.

“This is abuse of power on an industrial scale.”
