(Chris Parker, Headline USA) The ACLU is filing lawsuits against Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Biden administration for allegedly denying legal representation to illegal immigrants.
The lawsuit claims that lawyers face a series of challenges when they try to communicate with detainees, reported Fox News. It claims these challenges make legal representation “extremely difficult and, sometimes, impossible” for the illegal immigrants.
“The government locks people up — often in remote facilities far from family and legal services providers — while erecting arbitrary barriers to accessing counsel,” said Emma Winger, senior attorney at the American Immigration Council, one of the legal groups involved in the lawsuit.
“Immigrants in detention should not have to struggle to have private conversations with their lawyers. The stakes are too high.”
The US Border Patrol has experienced an unprecedented and overwhelming surge in illegal immigration during Biden’s presidency. They have resorted to only paroling many of the migrants detained due to a lack of resources.
Overall, an estimated 5 million illegal immigrants from 150 countries have flooded the US border since Biden took office last year. The Biden administration maintains its claim that the border is secure.
Meanwhile, the illegals pouring across that border have personally thanked Biden for his accommodations.

While the ACLU’s lawsuit proves a double-standard for the woke organization that cares about laws regarding representation but not illegal immigration, it also further reveals the unraveling of the Left’s supposed love and compassion for illegal aliens. Just last month, the Left’s elite could not rid themselves of the 50 illegal immigrants sent by Florida quickly enough.
Those migrants were shipped away to a military base less than 48 hours after their arrival. Similar situations have occurred in Chicago and other liberal sanctuary cities.
This isn’t the first time that the ACLU has sued the Biden administration over illegal immigrants. They also filed a lawsuit last year in an attempt to block ICE from transferring illegal immigrants detained in New Jersey over long distances.
