REPORT: Martha’s Vineyard Has Room to House 6M Illegals

'We don’t have the services to take care of 50 immigrants and we certainly don’t have housing...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) After Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis this week flew dozens of illegal immigrants to the elite enclave of Martha’s Vineyard, Breitbart calculated that the Massachusetts island retreat could house up to 6 million based on the population density  of New York City.

DeSantis’s move follows nearly 21 months of unfettered open-border policies by the Biden administration that, thus far, have allowed an estimated 5 million illegals to gain entry. The number, based on recent data from US Customs and Border Protection, exceeds the total population of more than half of U.S. states.

Rather than enforce border security, the Department of Homeland Security under DHS Secretary Alejandro Majorkas has overseen countless midnight flights to relocate border-hopping immigrants throughout the nation’s interior—many of them to red states, including Florida.

DeSantis followed the lead of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who has sent them to at least three major cities—Washington, D.C.; New York City; and Chicago. On Thursday, Abbott delivered two buses carrying roughly 75-100 illegals to the official D.C. residence of U.S. border czar Kamala Harris.

But despite having long virtue-signalled their support for illegal immigration and diversity, not all of the so-called sanctuary cities were receptive.

Martha’s Vineyard Homeless Shelter Coordinator Lisa Belcastro raged against conservatives, the Gateway Pundit reported.

“The difficult challenges are—we have to, at some point in time they [illegals] have to move from here to somewhere else—we cannot, we don’t have the services to take care of 50 immigrants and we certainly don’t have housing,” she said. “We’re in a housing crisis as we are on this island! We can’t house everyone here that lives here and works here!”

In light of Belcastro’s claims, The Federalist researched the housing situation on the island, finding twelve Martha’s Vineyard mansions that would provide more than suitable accomodations for the illegal immigrants.

President Joe Biden condemned Republican governors for taking matters into their own hands, calling them “un-American,” and accusing them of “political stunts.”

“We have a process in place to manage migrants at the border,” the president added. “We’re working to make sure it’s safe and orderly and humane. Republican officials should not interfere with that process by waging a politically political stance.”

Both DeSantis and Abbott have previously indicated they may send illegals to Delaware, where Biden spends most of his weekends at his family home in Wilmington and vacation home in Rehoboth Beach.
