(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Former Secretary of State and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be joining faculty of Columbia University as a professor and presidential fellow.
In a statement the school announced that Clinton will also be working on a “variety of major initiatives” in the 2023-2024 school year.
According to the Daily Wire, she will teach at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, and will be acting as a presidential fellow at Columbia World Projects.
“I have had the great pleasure of knowing Hillary personally for three decades, since her early days as First Lady of the United States,” Columbia President Lee Bollinger remarked in a message to the school.
“Given her extraordinary talents and capacities together with her singular life experiences, Hillary Clinton is unique, and, most importantly, exceptional in what she can bring to the University’s missions of research and teaching, along with public service and engagement for the public good.”
Clinton, who is a former first lady, former Secretary of State during the Obama Administration and twice failed presidential candidate, may be a candidate once again in 2024 if President Joe Biden steps down.
Dick Morris, former advisor to Bill Clinton, recently stated that she could position herself as a “moderate candidate.”
She did recently come out with an interview series with her daughter, Chelsea Clinton, called “Gutsy.” Guests included celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Megan Thee Stallion and alleged comedian Amy Schumer.
“I am honored to join Columbia University, and the School of International and Public Affairs and Columbia World Projects,” Clinton said. “Columbia’s commitment to educating the next generation of U.S. and global policy leaders, translating insights into impact, and helping to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges resonates personally with me. I look forward to contributing to these efforts.”
Biden took a similar role as Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor at the University of Pennsylvania in the years leading up to his presidency.
Despite his insistence that he served as a “full professor,” Biden never taught classes. A report revealed that he was paid $371,159 in 2017 and $540,484 in 2018 and 2019.
