(Chris Parker, Headline USA) Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. and Democrat Senate candidate John Fetterman recently attacked NRA supporters as the “lunatic fringe of gun ownership.”
Soon after, conservatives were quick to remind him of his own rampage with a shotgun, reported Rebel News.
“When Fetterman says ‘lunatic fringe’ does he mean the sort of person that grabs his shotgun and runs down an unarmed black jogger? Because I heard about someone doing that…who was that?” tweeted Nick Freitas, a delegate in Virginia’s House of Delegates.
“You’re the only Democrat who used a shotgun to chase down an unarmed black jogger,” Democrat Malcolm Kenyatta previously pointed out during a debate.

Both were referring to a 2013 incident in which Fetterman, who was mayor of the fledgling small town of Braddock at the time, confronted an innocent unarmed black man with his shotgun.
He claimed to see the man running down the street after he thought he heard gunshots.

“I didn’t know if it was a rampage. I didn’t know if it was a drive-by,” Fetterman said. “I didn’t understand. No one could know what was going on at that point other than a large number of shots were fired from what sounded like a high-powered rifle.
“At that point, I made a decision as a parent, and as a mayor, to intervene until the first responders could get there and sort it all out.”
He then told the man to stay put at gun point while he called the police. Fetterman has both denied and defended his actions. He has also denied aiming his gun at the man.
The victim, Chris Miyares, tells a very different story; he claims Fetterman aimed the gun at his chest. Miyares also clarified the source of the sounds.
“There were three kids in the parking lot where the dumpster is by the library. They were just shooting off bottle rockets. I heard it when I was running up Parker [Avenue] and it kind of got me too until I looked up and saw colors,” he said.
