Woke Adjunct Who Failed Student for Using ‘Biological Women’ Plays Victim

'How am I supposed to do my final project if I can’t use the word ‘biological woman’, but that’s what my project is about?'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A radical leftist adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati’s Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies department confirmed that she gave a student a “zero” on a paper for using the term “biological women,” the Enquirer reported.

The student, Olivia Krolczyk, went viral in May after posting a series of TikTok videos, during which she publicly made her case but declined to identify the teacher in hopes that the situation might be resolved.

However, after being tracked down by reporters, Melanie Rose Nipper, the adjunct professor, stood firm in her  judgment that Krolczyk’s application of scientific terminology was a sort of hate speech.

Nipper affirmed her previous student’s account of the “sequence of events” but also noted that “her review of the [paper] idea and Krolczyk’s language was a routine element of her duties as a professor,” maintaining that she applied consistently similar policies throughout her grading practices.

“When a student uses ‘an outdated terminology,'” Nipper said it was “necessary to correct those mistakes.”

But she conceded that any students who chose to bend the knee to the woke speech police could be rewarded by having their papers regraded and, in Krolczyk’s case, had offered not to assess a late penalty.

She further clarified that the grade was “not a zero for the course—a zero for an assignment.”

According to the student, the professor noted the “exclusionary” and antiquated nature of the language she used in her project.

“This is a solid proposal,” the professor wrote. “However, the terms ‘biological women’ are exclusionary and are not allowed in this course as they further reinforce heteronormativity.”

The student complained that she had been graded not on the quality of her work, but based upon the fact that she failed to appease the partisan preferences of her professor.

“I 100% know that this is the most biased grade ever because my project is about transgenders competing in biological women’s sports,” the student said, questioning the viability of completing any project at all if such basic statements would be treated as untenable political positions.

“How am I supposed to do my final project if I can’t use the word ‘biological woman’, but that’s what my project is about?” she asked.

Nipper, however, said that she believes that classrooms should be places where students are punished for “intentionally or unintentionally, participating in a systemic harm of some kind.”

She also said that after seeing the TikTok video and the subsequent publicity, she felt victimized and began to cry.

“It’s a lot, right? It’s a lot to handle,” she told the Enquirer when interviewed.

According to the adjunct professor, it is important to be the gatekeeper of language.

“Not all students feel seen in academia. And that’s really the effort of WGSS (Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies) classes, to have your students feel seen, the marginalized ones in particular, and feel respected.”
