Watch: Mark Levin’s Dire Warning About Biden DOJ’s ‘Rogue Operation’

'[I]t will destroy this country and we will not be able to claw our way back...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA)  In a scathing critique of the Biden administration, conservative commentator Mark Levin unleashed a scorching attack on the controversy-ridden DOJ, accusing it of functioning as a “rogue operation” under President Joe Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland

During a Sunday segment, Levin, who had previously worked at the DOJ, voiced his concerns about the agency’s alleged politicization and disregard for established norms.

“The Department of Justice has become the rogue operation of the federal government under Joe Biden and his Attorney General Merrick Garland. Controlled by the democratic party in a radical left,” Levin declared. “This department is destroying America. It’s destroying the 2024 election. It is violating every norm, every tradition, everything it inherited to ensure that the department could be trustworthy and could be reliable. But it has criminalized politics.”

Levin warned that the DOJ will destroy the country if it continues this path. “I want to say this: If we do not break the back of the Department of Justice—and I will explain what I mean in a moment—it will destroy this country and we will not be able to claw our way back,” Levin added. “This is not hyperbole. I don’t need to be.”

Levin expressed his astonishment at the conduct of the DOJ, suggesting that the leaks filling the pages of leftist news organizations allegedly originated from the Biden DOJ. These leaks, Levin warned, demonstrate a departure from standard prosecutorial practices

“Who do these leaks help? Do they help Donald Trump? Do they help a single witness?” asked Levin in reference to a handful of negative stories at CNN, The New York Times and The Washington Post.  “It is the federal government, it is the Biden Department of Justice, it is the Democratic Party’s Department of Justice that’s interfering in the election and trying to do many other things.”

Levin called upon his audience to reflect on the alleged leaks orchestrated by the same news outlets during the Trump presidency and blasted former Attorney General Bill Barr for allegedly running cover for the DOJ.

“‘Don’t jerk around the Department of Justice,’ [Bill Barr] says. Who is jerking who around here?” Levin asked. “Is this how you run a case? Is this how you have a tradition in the country that sits there and rubber stamps everything damn thing?”

Citing the American Bar Association’s rules on the responsibilities of prosecutors, Levin underscored the requirement for prosecutors to avoid extrajudicial comments that could unduly condemn the accused.

“Here is the ABA rules, special responsibilities for prosecutor, rule 3.8… ‘The prosecutor in a criminal case shall: except for the statements that are necessary to inform the public of the nature and extent of the prosecutor’s action and that serve a legitimate law enforcement purpose, refrain from making extrajudicial comments that have a substantial likelihood of heightening public condemnation of the accused,’” Levin quoted passionately.
