Disturbing: GA Socialist Mayor Arrested over Trespassing, Burglary

'Do you know who the f**k I am? I’m the Mayor...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) The embattled mayor of South Fulton, Georgia, has been arrested on Saturday after trespassing on a private property he claimed was abandoned.

According to Fox News, Khalid Kamau, a self-proclaimed Democratic socialist, has been charged with criminal trespass and burglary in the first degree.

A spokesperson for the city’s police department expressed their commitment to upholding law and order. “The City of South Fulton is committed to upholding the law and ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their position, are subject to the same fair and just treatment,” stated the City of South Fulton, as reported by Fox. “As the investigation is still ongoing, we are unable to provide further details at this time.”

The mayor dismissed the allegations of criminal behavior, explaining that he simply wanted to see the house. “I do apologize to the owners. I thought it was abandoned,” Kamau told Fox 5 Atlanta.

The property owner allegedly caught the mayor in the act of entering the premises and instructed him to stay put while holding him at gunpoint until law enforcement officials arrived.

During the encounter, Kamau reportedly cursed at the homeowner, responding in anger, “Do you know who the f**k I am? I’m the Mayor, and I’ll wait for my police to get here and see what happens then,” as stated in a police report obtained by WSBTV.

The homeowner firmly responded, saying, “No motherf***ker, you stay right there.” He later added, “If you take another step, I’m going to shoot you,” as documented in the police report. Kamau provocatively replied, “Are you going to shoot me while I’m walking away?”

In a seemingly nonchalant manner, the handcuffed mayor addressed a reporter outside a local police department. “I do want to thank the South Fulton police and the staff of officers for their courteous and professional service throughout the day,” he expressed, as captured in a video obtained by the New York Post.

According to NBC News, City Council member Natasha Williams-Brown, who also serves as mayor pro tem, has been sworn in as acting mayor while the investigation continues.

In addition to his recent arrest, Kamau is facing a lawsuit from Williams-Brown and four other elected officials in the city council. The council members are seeking to remove Kamau from office, alleging that he leaked confidential information for his political benefit.
